Managing customers expectations

I ordered my money on Thursday before the Easter Friday, as part of the sales you have to state when you would like the money, I picked the Saturday between Good Friday and Easter. I recieved a call from Covent Garden FX to inform me that the Post Office could not guarentee Saturday delivery due to Easter, as when was I due on holiday as they would try and seek alternate arrangements. I wasn't in a hurray as my holiday is later in the month, great service and to top it all my money was delievered as per my request. Fantastic to see customers expectations managed.

Terrible Service - would have been 2 stars but had two bad experiences!

Twice Covent Garden FX have been unable to fulfil my order and wasted my time. They are amateurs with scant regard for customer service, falling back on an, 'It aint my fault gov'nor' attitude.
The web site says the shop opens at 09.00 but you'll be lucky if the doors open much before a quarter past nine as "they're in the cafe."
If you value service and reliability, my advice is take their rate and see if a competitor will match it!

Exceptional

I found out about this FX bureau from Martin Money Expert, and used them to change some Euros into GBP at their outlet after booking online. The rate they used was very good, considerably better than the banks back home. Service couldn't be better. Will be using this company again in future.

My name is Gabriel and i m from Romania. I recieved some euros from somewhere, 4000 of them, and i did not knew how are the banks and the post and western union and thomas cook working with the exchange...i mean how they steal from you. the post office gave me maximum...3200 £....when the right conversion was 3500. they are vile. another friend from London, i live in Bognor Regis, recomanded this exchange with me and the next day i was off to London. they are there and in 2 minutes the exchange happened.
Next time i l do it thru post...now that i know that they are serious. thank you guys

I searched on compareholidaymoney.com for the best deal and Covent Garden was at the top of the list for the amount of Euros I needed.
Ordering was easy, a few boxes filled in online, an automated email was returned and a quick phone call to my bank to transfer the money was all that was required. In order to give the best rate they dont accept card payments and that's fine with me as bank transfers are very straightforward. I also got free delivery thanks to a code on the compare holiday money website.
The euros arrived special delivery within a few days, I couldn't ask for more and would certainly consider using them again if they remain competitive in the future.

I got a great exchange rate from this firm. They sent me details of their bank account (LloydsTSB) in order for me to do a BACS transfer and the money arrived by registered signed-for post the next day. Lovely jubbly!

Great customer service, unbeatable rates

I've used CoventGardenFX a few times for trips European and found that they have the best rates and brilliant customer service. I've found all enquiries dealt with in the same day by a person in the UK.

There were a few issues with the delivery of my currency, however their staff were very helpful and left me feeling confident to use them again.

Had never used an online service before and was a little apprehensive. That said, the moment I placed my order I called them up (looking for peace of mind there was someone at the other end!) and they acknowledged my order and the payment and confirmed I would receive my currency by Special Delivery before 1pm the following day. It was. I was thrilled to bits. Am now going to proceed with the buy back service as looking at the reviews, these guys are the best for that too.

I have used CGFx twice now by post and twice have had excellent service. Currency always arrived as promised and in a mixture of denominations. I have also struggled to find better rates than here. Will be using them again.

Good rates, good service

I booked a currency exchange through their website, but when I got to the bureau, they actually had a better rate so gave me that one instead of the online one. Good service, but felt a little self conscious at the lack of privacy. Large windows open to the street, so everyone around and behind me could see how much I was exchanging. Apart from that, good experience and will be returning.

very helpful & well-informed

Could not have been more helpful - and able to meet specific requirements for Burma, ie new dollar bills, excluding certain serial numbers. Had a slight problem with website but real person sorted it immediately. It would have been useful to have had better instructions for location for pick-up - but perhaps I missed them.

I was looking to exchange some currency I brought back with me from Australia, a couple of thousand dollars, and quickly realised the post office and highstreet exchange places offer pathetic rates of exchange. I had a look on money.co.uk, which is a good site deserving a plug, looking for the best rates of exchange, and Covent Garden FX was the best rate offered by a licensed group. It did unnerve to stick my money in an envelope and post it off to London, but there was no reason for concern, the whole process worked exactly as described, I received an e-mail letting me know the money had been received, and 2 days later it was in my account, exactly as described. I hve to say i love it when there are no hidden catches, no strings attached, just an honest service that was exactly what I wanted.

I searched around for a good buy back rate and these blew everyone else out of the water. By saving me over £200 just on the rate, they have got a customer for life.

Brilliant and fast service!

I was fed up of getting a bad rate at the post office, but worried to just sent my money off to a company I did not know.
That worry was crushed when the money was transferred nearly immediately after it had arrived at Covent Garden via special delivery.
Special delivery in itself is expensive and I did not have much money to exchange (under £150) and I still saved £10.
I will definitely use their services again!

Buy back best rate picked up from store

They almost always provide the best rate for Euro buy backs and their store is conveniently located in Covent Garden, it could stay open longer on weekdays though, as I usually go there after work

Great rate, exceptional service

These guys came up with the bet rate for dollars on a money comparison website and although I'd not herd of them I went with the quote. As I'd filled in a form wrong I had to make direct contact and the staff could not have been nicer and more helpful in resolving the issue. Then the money arrived speedily and in sensible notes for the amount I'd ordered. So all round they did a fantastic job and I used them to convert back, which was also an easy and smooth transaction. I'd use them again if there rates continue to stack up.
