I tried to cancel my membership after they sent me a third credit report that didn't work. Multiple contact resulted in only automated responses and the failure to close my account. I Was billed for 2 months as a result.
Emailed a week before the end of my 30 day free trial. Absolutely no response apart from an automated reply. That Sunday when the 30 day trial was up i tried to call but their call centre was not open. Cancelled the following day to find I had been charged. Called again today to explain the situation and the customer service advisor was NO HELP. Refused a refund, even though I gave a fair explanation as to what as happened. They claimed because I used the account today (logged on to retrieve my reference number so I could quote this on the phone) and they deemed that as using my account.
DO NOT USE. STAY CLEAR. I WOULD GIVE THIS NO STARS IF I COULD
Just rang up to cancel my subscription, went through the questions most would ask why you are leaving etc. Gave my details around 4 times because the person on the phone was so hard to understand, and then when I passed security got asked the next set of questions.
I was trying to be sold a package for £9.99 to be alerted for all sorts of things, I said no thanks and then was held for longer again going through a big script trying to sell me another package for £1.99 a month for identity theft. I also said no thanks at that and then he decides to question me and said literally, well how would you know then when someone applies for credit using your details? So I just replied and said sorry but that isn't my concern at the moment nor should it be yours.
Finally got it cancelled, but prepare for a mountain of questions when trying to cancel.
Within 3 days of contacting this company and providing card details nearly £1400 of fraudulent transactions were made against my account. All my other transactions up to 3 months previously have required BarclaySecure verification. I would advise you to be extremely wary.
