if you want a computer that'll last and reliable.....DON'T BUY FROM CUBE! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
I am the owner of easypc-uk.com and we have no connection now or previously with cube24/7, they went bust and ceased trading, we have been trading 4 yours before this.
Eric Plimsoll comment is incorrect and libelous, we expect it to be removed.
The computer came next day as it said, it was smooth fast however the windows 7 was a 30 day trial I didn't receive original one and the drivers wasn't compatible with the system which I got with which was Windows 7 Home Premium Edition.
The computer started to turn off while I was playing old game Diablo II even Neptune GT4 should handle it. Finally it started to turn off while i was surfing on the internet, it turned off and never turned back on.
I haven't contacted them because the website is down but i have found their phone and I am looking forward for them to listen to my complaints and hopefully receive new machine or get refund.
I bought Next Day Tucana GT5 from cube247. It arrived but blew up 5 minutes after being turned on. I returned everything (CPU, flat screen, keyboard etc) but only received CPU back. Now it says Windows 7 is NOT GENUINE. I paid using Debit Card. Please help me what to do next against this fraud company and what right do I have.
I ordered a computer from these guys. At first they answered the phone and you could talk to them. Then all contact ceased! Phone just rang and rang.
Miraculously the money was returned to my credit card account without explanation.
I don't know if they have close shop or gone bust.
horrible!
never ever buy enything from there!
bought processor with some upgrades and non of them was actually added! tried to phone them for abot 20 times, left million emails...nothing!
i think this company is a fraud.
I ordered on 16th May. It is now 30th May. I have been checking each day on web plus phoning and emailing. The web site didn't work and has now disappeared completely. No reply to phone calls. There would appear to be a problem! Take care.
Cube247 has gone from one of the best companies to deal with to the worst overnight.. they delivered a dead pc to me 'tested by their experts', bollocks, the cd drive was not even connected, a monkey would have noticed that, and a DEAD MOTHERBOARD , also hard to miss.. Seems the company is dead in the water so stay well away...
I bought a pc 12 month ago
I USED this company because they was A local company
Pc been back number of times for repair . the pc went back for a new graphic card. but when the pc came back to me there wasa a cheap motherboard been put in pc had been droped as theres a crease in the case. in fact the whole inside of the pc had be replace with cheap tat..

their engineers are the laziest pigs in the world, they will
over the phone try as much as possible to avoid any work or responsibility.
Computer went to manufacturer 2weeks later came back worse than before.
they don't specify that the windows software is only on licesne for 30 days.

Worst customer service I've experienced from a PC re-seller!
I bought a system off them on Tuesday, arrived Thursday. Box is DOA. Contacted them today, went through the standard checks to confirm it's dead. Box needs replacing so they pick it up today, replacement here Tuesday. I need it NOW, not Tuesday so I asked for one straight away. They refused, and I can see why as they've been victim to fraud in the past. No problem with that.
I offered to PAY for a new box to be sent out today for receipt Saturday and refunded when the old box gets there on Monday. They won't do it as it's "against company policy". What's the problem? I've offered to pay for a new one! My wife (a national manager for a large multi-national company) spoke to their customer manager as I'm crap on the telephone and instantly had her back put up by their attitude. Completely inflexible, bordering on rude - and ignorant of good customer service practice.
Doesn't bode well for the future if I ever encountered a problem, does it? Then they told me it'd take 30 days to refund my purchase if I cancelled! Talk about insult to injury - I cancelled the order on the spot.
I'm self-employed and need a Windows PC to work (doing this on my trusty Linux laptop). That'll be 6 days not working - more than the PC cost! Thanks for nothing!
Good prices for the units, but bloody appalling customer service - I'd recommend avoiding after my dealings with them.

I really thought there where proper laws in place to stop this kind of thing.
Pointless saying my terrible experience of this company, its already been said.
You've supplied something that does not work, it is not as described, you don't want to stand by the warranty, do the honest thing and give people there money back, including me.

Wanted to return Pc same day it arrived, well within 7 days, only because it was really noisey, not a chance. don't believe there 7 day money back garentee, total rote and liars.
I bought some new quite fans of ebay and got the system running.
If you just want a pc with no garrentee or customers service that is very cheap, then this is the company for you. If however you want a reliable company look on ebay for top rated seller, should have trusted my instict over my wallet, as my dear old 98 year olld gran has always said, you don't get somthing for nowt!!

I echo the previous post - avoid at all costs! Utter garbage terms and conditions on the website - bascially if you open it, they can (according to them) refuse a return - even if the PC does not work!. T&C on the website refer to flat screen monitors, so have absolutely no relevance to anything, however they seem to think this overrides the Sale of Goods act and the DSR!!
Trading standards are getting involved as are card company, in the meantime, am left with a piece of useless metal clogging up space in my dining room. I could have made a better job at assembling a PC with tinfoil and sticky back plastic.

Avoid at all cost's, reading through other comments on here i got the same thing, refused to stand by the warranty, refused to collect and repair, parts in the system that where lower spec than i had paid for and much much more.
On the positive side, i am just a few hundred quid down, feel very very sorry for people that have lashed out on the more expensive systems.
The case is of to trading standards, the card i paid with is investigating, just to pick up on that point, if you have had problems get it registered with Trading Standards, so many hits and they stop them trading.

I bought a computer from them thinking it would do as promised by the sales guy, but instead all I got was a computer that crashes at least two to three time a day, it just will not work. I ask for my money back and they refused as the computer was to old, month after I bought it. So I sent it back after some convincing at my own cost, they changed some components (so they say) and sent it back, guess what happened? It still did not work. Over time I have sent the computer back a few times with no resolve and they still refuse to refund me my money. Computer has never work, but to them it works fine with them so there for tough luck, I sent the computer to other independent computer shops for them to check and try to source where the problem lies and they just said it was faulty and I must send it back, they would not even try to sort it. Cube now refused to respond to my e-mails. I am stuck with a computer that does not work, nor can I send it back and I cannot get anyone willing to risk trying to fix it. I lost big because of cube.
They are bad company, bad quality computer and the worst customer service ever, the lies they told is unbelievable and disgraceful. This is my warning to everyone thinking of but computer from cube247, DON’T.

They delivered damaged goods. The computer had a huge dent in the side. Contacted customer services who were extreemly rude. They denied my statutory rights of a refund. I have now taken a CCJ against them and made a complaint to trading standards. Clearly the 5 star reports on this site have been fabricated by cubes staff.
The link below enables quick and easy online access issuing of county court summons against cube in the likely event that you also have the same problem.

Unimpressed when the system took nearly a month to arrive, and came without the free radio-control helicopter that was being offered with each purchase when I ordered. At 364 days after delivery, the system spontaneously shut down and would not re-boot. I contacted Cube with the problem as a warranty issue, and was told that the warranty only applied if the system arrived back at their premises within the 365 days (the day they got back to me). Unless you live in Wetherby, that's a 50 week warranty in my book, but Cube don't see it that way. All-in-all, not the greatest purchasing experience, and I won't be repeating it.

I ordered two base units with accessories. Only two small requirements one had a decent graphics card and one with windows 7 professional. i also paid for their next day delivery.
I ordered on the 16/02/11 and finally received the units today 22/02/11, unfortunately they had no power cables (apparently if you don't order monitors you don't even get power cables for the units, if only they unit could be power by cube247's incompetence ). Finally after hunting around we managed to find some.
Switched on the units one had windows 7 home premium - this should have been professional and the unit with the graphics card had a faulty driver disc.
After all these problems i rang up to complain and got a ear full of 'i don't really care' attitude and told power cable and window 7 professional are in the post. Great! not really i have been unable to run my office for nearly a week due to having no PC system.
Even being a bit of a newbie i could have probably built it myself quicker, which might just do next time.
If you cannot deliver a service don't advertise it or at least accept responsibility and try and offer some level of customer service.

I ordered a Dorado GT4 from them - pre-sales was good (I thought at first) - and arrived next day as promised.
However, then it went wrong.
Firstly - the Windows OS installed was a trial version and they didn't include the disk or the license key. However, this was sorted around a week later when they shipped it separately.
However, I clearly stated to the salesman I need a system that I could hook up twin DVI monitors as it was for a member of staff that did photo/design work and they needed digital quality displays
He said this one came with DVI and HDMI so that would be fine as long as my monitors accepted HDMI. I checked and both monitors accepted DVI and HDMI.
Arrived and while 2 monitors can be hooked up only 1 can be digital - the other has to be analogue
It has take 2 weeks to get them to finally accept that the PC will not output twin digital outputs
I have asked what they intend to do about it - I have NOT asked for compensation or asked for a new graphics card free
I explicitly stated I would pay for an upgrade for the grahpics card and will send back the one that's installed if they send me one that will output twin digital
Several days passed and not a word.
Finally, got a message to call them and was told that "I have tried but they won't budge and won't do anything - just go out and buy a new graphics card" they said.
Appalling service - appalling pre-sales knowledge
I am now going to go to Trading Standards. I will NOT return the PC for a refund because it is fully up and running - just not working as it should. I spent 3 days installing and getting it set up so I am not going through that again. I will have to go out and buy a card that fits.
They wouldn't even tell me what card would fit in this machine - just "go and sort it yourself" I was told over the phone.
I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone ever. A company is built on how it deals with the customers after the transaction. If all they had done was say "We are sending out a graphics card that will work - pop the other one back to us and we'll charge the difference" then fine.
I was NOT asking for a freebie - I accepted it was likely to be lack of knowledge on the salesman part but we all make mistakes and I would happily pay for an upgraded card - just SORT IT OUT!
But to tell me to just buy another one myself is terrible service.
I simply cannot believe there is a company that doesn't go bust that offers this low level of service.

I totally agree with Tony's comment. I have placed an order for Next Day Sigma GT5 on 24th Dec. Guess what. I still have not received my PC after more than one month, which should be next day delivery. Every time I call customer service, they are not interested to help me, but asking me to pay more for Saturday delivery. Unbelievable!!!

Here I am again its tuesday and im indoors waiting for my 'next day guaranteed' computer which I ordered last friday (even paid saturday delivery charge) . No customer support on weekends but are happy to take your money . Im just wondering now is it going to be worth the exciment because it most probably wont work when I get it . Poor customer service

Computer developed fault within one day. Asked for a refund and was told we don't do refunds - when I pointed out that I was legally entitled to a refund and If i didn't receive one I would contact trading standards they became very abusive. I relented and my system was returned to them a total of 5 times before I located the fault myself.
They are a disgusting company and I would urge anyone to avoid them

Please don't trust any of the 5 star reviews that have suddenly appeared within a couple of weeks, i'm possitive they are all from Cube who at the begginning of November had a one star rating (head back to the review starting from the 05 October 2010
by 'paul grant' to get a real idea of how this company works!...not many 5 star ratings back there i promise you!)
We have had nothing but problems from a computer that is under one year old, it has had 3 hard drive changes (the first i had to do myself here and the second they actually did there...and still problems), and now had to have a motherboard change due to the shoddy nature of the computer that they built.
Both times when the computer was returned to them to be 'fixed' there was absolutely no communication with us with timings, when it would be returned etc, and both times it was returned in the same box we sent it in with no note explaining anything they had done/found.
The technical support, although mostly polite, seem to know nothing more than me, and mostly um-ed and arr-ed over the phone.
A decent company would have replaced the machine after the second set of problems instead of blaming us for damaging harddrives (yes that really happened...) and ignoring our persistant questioning over whether all our problems were caused by a faulty motherboard until the 4th time the computer broke.
Pllleeeeeaasseee save your money and buy your computer from a reputable company and not Cube247. I urge you!

Ordered a new PC via the website after recomendation from a work friend who owns a Cube.
I spoke to a helpful chap called Chris who helped me customise a Zeta system and it arrived a few days later. The screen is great and the system is quiet, much better than the eBay system i purchased two years ago.
All in all I could not find better.
I bought a new PC from Cube a couple of weeks ago and am so impressed. The system itself is brilliant, really quick, very quiet and looks good. I’d been meaning to replace my old PC for a while – it’s just one of those things that you keep putting off until next month, and the month after etc.
I left it so long that my PC just died one day, and I needed one urgently to get all of my work done over the weekend. I had a look on a few sites but Cube seemed to be much more aggressively priced. They offered a few next day systems, however none really suited the spec I wanted and to upgrade would mean a longer delivery timescale.
I gave them a call and spoke to a really helpful chap in sales who allowed me to upgrade to a bigger hard disk and processor and still have it the next day. So I ordered at 4.30 on a Friday and the system was with me at 10am the Saturday morning. You can’t really ask for a better service that that!
The one star rating on this review site suggests fraud. I make no suggestion of this but this company do not deserve 2 stars. If there was a zero star category I would have used that.
I purchased a Dorada system from Cube in February 2010. I was initially pleased with the system but I did have some items on the original spec swapped without being told (eg my 1TB Seagate drive was substituted for a Hitachi drive).
The system began to suffer frequent crashes and eventually the mother board failed in August with the old blank screen 8 beep message. I was very disappointed that this had happened after such a short space of time.
I decided to drop it off at their address near Wetherby for repair. I was rather surprised to see their shiny premises as depicted on their web site were in fact one of the rather shabby units on the Thorp Arch Trading Estate and not the plush offices as depicted.
This should have set the alarm bells ringing.
I left the system with one of their engineers who was unable to provide me with a formal receipt. “We don’t tend to do that” he explained.
Anyway I took a chance, made a note of his name and left it with them.
Several days passed and no news and so I began a series of calls to their “technical” team. Eventually after much chasing I established that the problem was the mother board and all other components were working fine.
I asked them to leave the existing hard drive intact as although I had a back up of most of my data I didn’t want to have to reinstall all my applications etc.
They swapped the mother board and returned it to me in possibly the worst packaging I have ever seen. Their delivery people, Interlink, delivered it with no signature and left it around the back of my house. It rained but that’s a different story.
“Sorry, we didn’t have any suitable boxes” was the response when I complained to Cube.
Upon inspecting the PC I discovered that my old full size mother board had been replaced with a half size board. This therefore didn’t extend as far as the expansion bays on the PC case and therefore I had no expansion possibilities. I couldn’t even fit in my firewire card rendering it useless for video editing. It had far fewer USB slots (the only free bay had been taken up with a 4 x USB card to cover up this issue), no external SATA connectivity and no optical audio out.
I contacted them to ask why they had replaced my original board with an inferior model and was told “this is the standard replacement”. After having to involve their customer services people they relented and I returned the unit for a replacement motherboard. This again took far too long and involved me chasing them on numerous occasions.
During one of my chase telephone calls I also discovered that despite me specifically asking them not to touch my original data they had reinstalled windows and formatted my old hard disk. I realised at this time that there were some minor pieces of data that I did not have backed up so I decided to purchase a new 1.5TB hard drive and asked them to make the original a slave in the hope that I could recover the data. I had asked them to do this recovery for me but they said that “we can not touch our clients’ data”. So essentially they can’t touch it but they can delete it!
I complained about their poor service and lack of care and was told “you should have backed it up”. Fair, point but the fact remained that they had needlessly deleted my information when I had specifically told them not to.
When the PC eventually arrived back I was further concerned to see that they had only supplied a 1TB drive and not the 1.5TB I had been forced to buy due to their total lack of care. Again I complained and I had to provide photographic evidence of the 1TB drive as they basically accused me of lying.
The final chapter came when I started using the system and Windows asked to be registered on-line. The key code I had was now invalid. Cube once again excelled themselves by basically telling me to go away and sort it out with Microsoft.
I have never come across a more shambolic after sales service in any business I have dealt with before. Cube’s technical people seem to be genuinely nice guys but I am afraid that from my experience they are totally inadequate and just muddle along with no real clear idea of what they are doing. To be told by one of them when asking about the key code “I can’t get my head around this – it’s been one of those weekends” hardly inspires me to ever consider using them again. Indeed, despite still having plenty of the warranty remaining, if the PC fails again I’ll just skip it and buy a new one from a reputable seller.
The same goes for their customer service. They showed no willingness to work with me to resolve my problems, all of which were caused by their initial product failure and then a series of botched repairs.
If reading this saves just one person from having to suffer the pain of buying from these people then it was worth the effort.
I bought a computer from Cube247 (a standard computer which took them 3 weeks to build - they promised 2 weeks), it gave a BSOD after 2 days and then many times after that. I complained for weeks, but they were reluctant to give any advice. I sent it back eventually and they have it now for more than a month. It took them a while to duplicate the problem, after that they swapped out the motherboard and then forgot what test they did in the first place to duplicate the BSOD. They just put you computer in a corner on some kind of test and then forget about it. You have to phone then everyday and ask them how is it doing and whether it BSOD to remind them about your computer. So now they are still testing it. They mess me around endlessly. I will never ever buy anything from this company again. I wish I can get my money back, but they just refuse.
I have had my PC for a few months now and it has crashed time and time again, cube247 refuses to answer my e-mails and calls. They have left me high and dry. Now I have an expensive PC system that I can't use as it keeps on crashing all time. Work and setting lost on a daily bases. They lied about everything.
