Nervous no more!
Currencies Direct came recommended, but I was still really nervous about exchanging money on-line. Would it disappear into cyber space? Would I hit the wrong button and lose the lot? No chance. There were lovely friendly voices at the end of the phone (all sounding young enough to be my kids, but - hey - that's normal these days!) who answered all my questions without making me feel in the least bit stupid. As to the actual transaction, it went through very smoothly, very quickly, and with a much better rate than from my bank. I'm a happy customer!

I'm sure this saves money at times when you really need to save money....
I was initially skeptical about Currencies Direct having had a lot of experience with financial institutions in the past. But I was pleasantly surprised. No fee for sending big sums overseas. No hidden charges. Just savings for me alond the way. The service was easy and professional and I would recommend to anyone. I'll certainly be using them again.

Best rates by far
I recently had to transfer a large amount of £ to Euros in Spain. Currencies Direct gave me the best rate by far. Saving me hundred's of pounds. Definitely recommended.

Fast service, great savings and fantastic customer service
I used CD to transfer money from France to an UK account and then again to get the prepaid currency card. Both processes were so simple and easy. The money was in my UK bank account within a day and the prepaid card I received within a week, being able to transfer funds to it the same day I received and activated it. The dealer was very cordial and explained everything through which made me feel very confident about the service as well.
I would definitely recommend to friends and I plan on keeping on using them again in the future.

A fast, efficient and friendly service.

Excellent service but not best rates
Having transferred funds once, I can say that the service was extremely friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, I afterwards discovered that my own bank were offering a better rate of exchange, which, even after they deducted a fee of £25 would have saved me money..

My first transaction could not have been bettered, very satisfied
Currencies Direct was brought to my attention through The Spectrum group. After an unfortunate experience with another currency company where I lost out over £300 I was rather apprehensive this time but Matt explained everything to me. I left it with him to do the transaction at the best time for me. He telephoned me one day to give me the rates, which had suddenly improved & then he went ahead to complete the transaction. All very satisfactory. Currencies Direct will remain my first choice.

I don't think a catchy sentence is applicable, they simply, efficiently and economically moved the cash.
Because of a silly law that was supposed to stop money-laundering but targeted the wrong people - big-time money-launderers will find ways to get around it and it's only the little people who are not money-laundering, just moving their income around who are inconvenienced. Anyway, Currencies Direct do the best they can (within the law) and do a good job.
I'm glad I found them.

A simple, quick and easy way to transfer funds from UK
We tried Currencies Direct for the first time this year, and were very pleasantly surprised how simple it was. The staff were most patient, friendly and helpful and the funds were transferred the following day, as promised. It also works out cheaper than doing a normal transfer through our bank. I would not hesitate to recommend Currencies Direct to any of my friends.

Once set up it was so much easier than going through our bank.
I wanted to transfer money without having to go through all the hurdles, press 1 for , press 3 for , etc 10 minutes later you get to speak to a person to just get info.
I dreaded my husband saying we need to bring some money over if we want to buy!!!!
It didn't cost us anything but was a lot of hassle and a long phone call which did cost us. Also the rate of exchange was not so good, now I can ring up and get the exchange rate immediately and trade then or wait until it is better.
It took a little time to set up with a direct debit as and when requested but I don't like Internet banking and I can do it with just a phone call. Great

Fast, friendly and uncomplicated to set up and make transactions.
Having in the past used my UK Bank to transfer living funds to France I realised that I was not getting as good deal as I could have with a currency dealer. However my previous experience of such a dealer was pretty complicated, slow and bureaucratic. However contrary to my previous experience, registering and setting up an account with Currencies Direct was uncomplicated and the account was speedily set up and ready for use in a few days. Phone contact is instant without the usual long wait to speak with a Dealer, transactions are swiftly dealt with transfers made within 2 days. It couldn't be easier and is hassle free.

'Change' for the good.
Quick, efficient, only slight criticism, the rate was a little lower than I expected.
It would be nice if emails, and other information could come to me, rather than my wife.
But, all said and done, I'm not unhappy.

Very quick, uncomplicated and stress free

I used Currencies Direct to move money from one country to another because it is the best way to go. The rates of exchange were acceptable and with no added charges either. From the time the money was cleared from my bank in the UK, it took a very short time to be in my bank in Spain. Will certainly use this service again.

TRUSTWORTHY ,HELPFUL,INFORMATIVE & EASY TO UNDERSTAND.
This was my first experience in using currencies direct and I was a little dubious about using an agency to transfer my money abroad. I have always used my Bank to transfer money for me .easy to use but costly. Once my account was set up with Currencies Direct, I found them to be very efficient and obtained a very good rate for the Transfer.
This Company have been very helpful ,and will certainly use them again.

Very quick transaction without problems
If you've got CD account is really quick and easy to send money to any other country.
Also rates are quite good, only thing is I didn't get Euro rate which is on CD web page, it was little bit less, but still good rate. Transaction was made in less than 24 hours - awesome!

Perfect service, highly professional and the best FX business I've ever dealt with.
Over the last 6 years I've used a number of different foreign exchange companies and have had mixed experiences from atrocious to okay but have always felt pressured into dealing sometimes when rates haven't always been that great. Over the last 18 months I have moved all of my personal and business fx transactions to Currencies Direct and I can't recommend them enough. Great exchange rates and very easy to process
I wanted to transfer some money from the US to a UK bank account and in the past I have used my US bank to do this. Not only do they charge a large fee, but they also give me a very poor exchange rate. Using Currencies Direct I got a far superior exchange rate that was worth maybe $300 to me. I still had to pay the fee to my bank because it involved a transfer of dollars to a foreign account. However, in the near future Currencies Direct tell me that they will have a US bank account to which I can transfer my money. This will not only save on the fees, it will also speed up the transaction, although it was pretty quick anyway. The people I dealt with were very helpful and I was very satisfied with the service. I will certainly use this service again.

Currencies Direct should be more proactive.
Timing is crucial. Almost every time I had to call to find out the status of transaction. In fact, the whole process could be shortened by reacting quickly, especially when I mentioned I expected the funds to arrive before a certain date (deadline).

We agree that the status of your transaction should be available to you in “real-time”, wherever you are, and we hope to achieve this as part of the change program we’ve recently kicked off to completely upgrade our online offering. This should ultimately also include mobile alerts, which I think would have been the perfect tool for the situation you’ve described.
