Don't be ripped of by the clearing banks.
Can recommend Currency UK who I have used for 10 years. Any small problems have been quickly sorted out.

Great friendly service
I have used Currency UK for the purchase of foreign currency over the past eight years and have always found them helpful and down to earth. I have used other companies however, have found Currency UK seems to have the right balance - friendly, helpful and efficient.

Great value, fast and efficient
I have been using Currency UK for about 8 years now. They are always ultra efficient, friendly and, above all, give great rates. Setting up the transaction takes no more than 2 minutes and the currency reaches my US account next day at the latest. I can't think of any way they could improve.

The measure of a service provider is, in my eyes, how they deal with a mistake - these guys helped to clear up the mess and were very apologetic, leading me to believe that it doesn't happen to them very often

Dealing with Currency UK is simple and straightforward.
I only buy foreign currency once a year, but even so Currency UK keeps my details in their data bank and this simplifies things enormously. It takes less than ten minutes to make the arrangements (one phone call and one e-mail). The last time I bought currency the amount was credited to the foreign account within 48 hours.

Would definately reccomend using this company if you need to send money abroad, they are really efficient, always helpfull and your money gets from A to B quickl, with resonable rates for small ransactions :-)

These are good people to deal with. Their service is quick and efficient and it is easy to speak to a human being - and almost invariably one you know. The paperwork is easy to deal with and the transfers are always made as promised and without delay. I have already been pleased to recommend them to several contacts and remain happy to do so.

Currency UK - reliable, efficient, helpful and good-humoured, a pleasure to do business with!
Adrian, Alex & recently Rob have a very good understanding of the money markets and been very helpful in providing information about how the market might be faring on a daily basis as well as providing insight into what could be happening in the near future. Their rates are very competitive (I've tried many others) and we have been using them to exchange sterling into Euros and US dollars for more than 8 years. I hope they will be able to find someone they can trust in Brazil to do transactions from sterling into $Reals - another currency I use too. Otherwise, a most reliable, efficient company to do business with, I can't recommend them enough!

Helpful, fair and reasonably efficient
They offer good exchange rates and explain the options well. One question was repeated on an email which was clearly on my instruction form, but otherwise the transfer was handled efficiently and by friendly staff with confirmation documents sent to me automatically and immediately (rather than having to request them as with a previous FX co.)
If only they could advise (I understand that they can't) to know when is the best time to transfer money to a different currency!

Far Better than any Bank
Our Chinese supplier will only provide documents when monies are received.
Used to use Barclays but they were so slow in paying the supplier that often the Goods often arrived at the Docks before we received the paperwork - hence we kept getting charged unnecessary Demurrage.
Currency UK are brilliant - no more trips to the Bank armed with passport and identification, and money is transferred within hours at a rate which is far superior to Barclays.

Efficient, fast and very good exchange rates
We've been using Currency UK for over 6 years now for both large transfers and smaller ones and have completed transfers worth many hundreds of thousands in that time for both personal and business purposes. The team at Currency UK are friendly and efficient and confirmations come through in minutes. The rates are always very competitive and so much better than anything we have ever been offered by banks. We have no hesitation in recommending them.

Very reliable and prompt service
There was a technical glitch in regards to the money transfer and the agent, who handled my transfer was very helpful and eager to assist. When transferring funds from one currency to another, banks in the country of destination, seem to be painfully slow and charge, what I feel are excessive premiums for their services. I think that Currency UK is a good alternative to these other resources and I would recommend them to others who might be seeking a currency exchange solution.

QUICK AND ON THE (ball) MONEY
I have used Currency UK for a few years now, I find them very efficent and effective, however big or small the monies are.
I get stuck in the Philippines and one email and I have monies transferred to me.
All the staff are friendly and actually know your name when you ring.

First class service from start to finish
Obviously in these days of mistrust I was a bit worried about paying large amounts of money into someone's account who I didn't know from Adam.
But after speaking with Adrian Jacob I decided to give them a chance and I was so pleased with the fast efficient service I received with no problems,delays,excuses for not dealing with the transfer.

I would definately recommend Currency UK. They are friendly and polite. I recently transferred GBP to USD and it was in my Bank of America account within 3 hours of my emailing back my Onward Payment form. Excellent service!

Quick, Covenient and user friendly
Used them lots of time for transfers to my Spanish bank. None of the hassle used to have with RBS - ID every time and long-winded forms, just pick up phone and deal done in a minute - 2 days given to transfer the funds to their UK bank.

I am very happy with the service provided by this company in all respects.

Always on the ball with great exchange rates and service.
I Have used Currency UK for more years than I would care to remember.
They have a consistent staff group who are well in tune with FX, friendly and very easy to deal with.
I have only ever had one glitch in many many transactions and they sorted it out immediately giving me 110% customer satisfaction!
Would not hesitate to recommend them and will continue to use them on all my currency transactions in the future as they are very competitive, keen to please and I trust them implicitly which is extremely important to me.
