They sent me knowingly faulty goods, then tried to deny receiving the return in order to keep my money and sell the item to the next poor sod! even though I had proof of a signature from one of their employees, avoid like mad.

Disgusting postal service

Ordered Tuesday, 100 quids worth of stuff , chose standard delivery- up to 3 working days. Its now Friday, and I have been told that my new SSD and motherboard have been sent by Royal Mail letter post!!!! with no tracking available whatsoever and I could be waiting up until next Wednesday for delivery. At the same time I ordered a GTX 760 off ebay, it arrived yesterday was free to post and was tracked all the way to my door. Really bad service dabs, if you had of told me they were going to go by letter post I would not have bought them, and be honest, saying up to 3 working days when someone is ordering, then telling them up to 5 on the phone aint right. I have spent so much money with Dabs but never ever again.

Bought a hard drive and a router, the hard drive is fine but the router was faulty. They took my money quick enough then to be told that once returned I have to wait up to ten days more for my replacement. Totally not my fault but I'm the one suffering even though they have my money. Treating me with suspicion even though it's them in the wrong.will not be using them again

Jokers...

Wanted me to post them proof of my address before processing my order as an "additional security measure" - and I had to wait 20 mins in their phone queue for the privilege of finding that out.
Daft in so many ways , but most of all what kind of master criminal would want to order a TV , pay for it in full and then get it delivered to someone else's house ?

Poor, not able to fulfill order in timely manner

Wsate of space, i have spent thousands with dabs over the years, went over to amazon because of a minor issue years ago because amazon customer support is great, made a mistake and bought a new htc m8 from dams, showed as in stock for next day delivery, still waiting 5 days later, tried to cancel order before despatched as i am supposed to be able to, 24 hours before despatch could not cancel order.
Waste of time, should have used amazon or walked to the shop ,will not use again ,do not recommend.

Completely lost it.

I have been shopping at Dabs maybe for 10 years or more.

They have always been great until my last purchase.

I bought a refurbed Asus laptop from them, grade A stock it said. The first time of using it the screen crashed, lines went across it, and from then on the computer was completely dead, wouldnt even boot.

It is faulty and I would imagine this is why it was returned sometime in the past by the first owner. It has not been tested well enough for Dabs to realise it is faulty.

I contacted them to arrange a return, they suggested I may have to wait 4-6 weeks for it to be repaired! This is faulty from new. We agreed I would like a refund, and Amanda arranged a courier to collect it. I specifically gave her my home address and told her I would wait at home all day on the Thursday. I emailed Thursday half expecting them to make some kind of mess up, and yes 'they' had arranged the collection from my work. A day off work, completely wasted due to their mistake.

The next day my wife misses the courier (we do have better things to do Dabs that wait in all day for you to collect your untested junk). I am told by Amanda that, next time she will have to charge me for the courier. This is to collect their faulty product. The blooming cheek of these people. I replied that the only reason it hadn't been collected on Thursday was because of her mistake, and I should charge Dabs for a day off work.

Frustrated I read their reviews, which are rather saddening. It seems across the board their service has got to pot.

skeptical but very happily suprised

Bought a thrustmaster flight hotas x from dabs, my reasoning was it was £31 with shipping when amazon alone was charging £44 without... so i bit the bullet and ordered(even though trust pilot had a crap rating for them) at 7pm on the 25th. by 3pm on the 26th i had not heard anything about my order being dispatched so i rang up and was put through to lauren i believe who informed me very politely and efficiently my order was being dispatched from the supplier as we speak and will be with me within 3 working days.. happy me. any way that night i got a email saying my item was dispatched and on the 27th i received my order, amazingly well packed, dam cheap price and amazing product honestly cannot at all think of a complaint.. maybe the weather but i guess thats not dabs fault

Took my £200 and ran...

It was a couple of years ago now, but I brought a £200 processor from Dabs as part of a new PC build.

It was missing a single pin, and didn't work. I packaged it up in its box and sent it back as faulty. A couple of weeks later, I get it sent back with a note, all the remaining pins are bent all out of shape, it's been completely ruined. The note says that I clearly tried forcing it into the socket and therefore wasn't entitled to a replacement or refund. The only inconvenient fact was that the damage clearly occurred after I returned it.

As I was too naive to photograph the state of the processor before I sent it off, I couldn't prove anything either way. But I continue to spread the word about this utter bunch of frauds.

Used to be good, got taken over, turned crap, turned, quite frankly, fraudulent.

Amazing service and speed

I see so many comments here that I think where just upset over something trivial or are plain making things up. I have been dealing with dabs for years and they have always been good to me, I bought most of my PC components previously from Dabs and will continue to do so like i just did with my new MSI R9 280x. I often also receive little extras with Dabs parcels which amount to no real money but it is a nice little gesture I can appreciate.

Appaulling ---- Terrible

Website states 'less than 10 in stock'; I've been speaking English all my life and this means IN STOCK not OUT OF STOCK. I realize that zero is less than 10 but don't accept that this meets any form of trade description. Dabs used to be a good & reliable retailer but I won't be shopping there again and would not recommend that you do either.

My Experience: Place order mid afternoon on Friday for in stock item (less than 10). Get immediate confirmation of order but then hear nothing. Tuesday check state of order and discover that it's out of stock. Check item on site (still less than 10 in stock). Cancel order and buy from Amazon - cost £5 more; item delivered Friday. Result (my wife buys a pile of stuff on eBay on the Saturday and it all arrives well before my item does). Really unhappy.

The only good thing. No monies were taken so I didn't have to chase for a refund.

More than 50 in stock!!! Yeah, yeah, yeah - None in reality

ordered kingston RAM memory, their website was saying "more than 50 in stock", after two days my order was still stuck in "processing" stage, I phoned them, they said it's not in stock!!!!!

Pathetically poor

They were so pathetically poor it is a shock that they are still in business.

Delivered late. Delivered broken. Basically told I wasn't entitled to a refund for reasons unknown.

Awful

This company is terrible. They have delivered the wrong item, I arranged a collection, which the courier failed to show up at, wasting a whole day. They managed to collect the item at another arranged time, but then took 3 days to process the fact the it was incorrect. Finally sent out what I assume is the correct item, but that was 4 days ago. No idea if/when it'll show up! No way to track the item and the customer service is atrocious,

Brilliant customer service!!!

I've seen quite a few bad reviews here lately not sure if all are true. Been shopping with dabs for 4 years no they never failed me once. Recently my power supply died and after 2 years the RMA must be done with manufacturer dabs took care of it for me and did the RMA on my behalf. Nothing but good things to say.

Sorry to hear about all the others that had issues.

Worse than a Nightmre

The STOCK it's not really STOCK! I can imagine that they just ordering it self online. Awaiting until its delivered to them and then send away.

I received a E-mail that all is in stock and it will be dispatched on the third day.
So I have checked the website on the Third day and one item was out of stock!
SO i have canceled the item and instead to pay me the difference which was 40 eur they have charged me twice for more than 1.000 Euro!!!

I felt Lied, Cheated and whats worse ROBBED OUT! Now in3 days im going to Barcelona without any funds on my bank account! The WORSE SERVICE! DOnt even look at the fake entries there with 5 stars its A LIE!

Gone downhill in 2013. Latest blow is the rise in delivery charges.

We've used dabs.com as our preferred business supplier since 2001, and kept with them through the BT takeover when our business account was moved to http://www.businessdirect.bt.com/.

In 2013 we started to notice problems. Goods "in stock" when ordered took far too long to arrive and on checking they were listed as "on order". Then we had a few incidents where boxes arrived opened and items were missing. That could have been the courier and we gave the benefit of the doubt. But now the glowing confidence I had that when we needed something in a hurry, dabs would not let us down - that confidence is gone.

The last straw is the stupid delivery charges. We needed a high speed SDXC card. The 3 day delivery charge is £3.56, for a tiny little SD card. Kikatek supply the same card for the same price with free delivery. So do many others.

I gently enquired from dabs.com support why the prices are now so high and I received rude and unhelpful responses.

Three stars would be generous, but they have definitely lost their Mojo, for which they lose another star. They're not cheap enough to compete without the extra customer service they used to offer.
Until they get their act back together we're looking for another supplier.

Great service makes me wonder if people just make stuff up

Recently just bought the new r9 280x graphics card from here as I could not find it in stock anywhere else, or be it at that price point .
After purchasing it it arrived to me 3 days later in complete working order.
I would recommend this company to anyone and like I say in the title just makes me question how other people could have such a bad experience.

Far worse than they used to be - do not trust 'in stock' - best avoided

Posting as this seems a common theme as per recent posts, they continually state 'in stock' items that, on investigation are not in stock at all. I spoke with their team directly, they informed me that 8 of this item showed online 'in stock' yet none were actually in stock. 3 days later and I have only just received 'despatch' email.

On admission of the error the customer service rep wouldn't even agree to upgrade my delivery to next day, very poor indeed. Never again!

To add to it, they use about 10 couriers, the 'order number' gives no clue as to which they have used so the parcel is effectively impossible to track. Their 'track your order' page is pure comedy, just a list of their couriers with a feeling of 'good luck to ya!' about it!

What happened to dabs.com?

I used to use dabs a lot about 5-10 years ago. They were generally good value, with good communications, and quick to despatch.
I tried to order an Apple Time Capsule from them recently, and the order just sat in 'processing' mode for days. Understandable if they're out of stock; unforgivable if there are 4 in stock. I wasn't looking for fast delivery, but fast despatch and good communication should be the absolute least we should expect in 2014, and I'm sorry to say dabs.com are lacking. This, and a fault on the website that makes Mastercards show as 'American Express', which makes you wonder whether the delay is down to this, don't exactly inspire confidence in this once great online retailer. In the end I cancelled and have ordered from Amazon instead. It's a few pounds dearer, but at least I can trust Amazon's high level of customer service - something I used to be able to say about dabs.com, but not anymore.

What a shame.

Problems - Then resolved Exceptionally

I ordered from Dabs, item arrived quick and great value. Unfortunately the item became defective and then the problems started.

Losing all hope in the customer service especially from representatives Tammy and Abi. Not sure if they are aware they are working in “customer service”.

I had been in contact with Dabs via telephony and email. I diverted away from telephony when I was spoken to in a poor Manner by Tammy. Hoping the responses would be improved in writing I then got Abi. The responses were poor and hardly any of the questions raised were answered. The same response sent over and over. Maybe Dabs encourage employees to ignore the Key points in an email hoping we will go away. (not this time guys)

My last point of contact has been with Alex. Two emails sent between myself and Alex. First apologising for the poor responses sent, all my questions answered and a human reply. The second email my issue fully resolved after 17days!

Thank goodness my query managed to reach Alex who seems the only one at Dabs to care about the customer experience. Maybe someone should take a leaf from her book.

I got a surprise call today to even ask me if the item was collected as she arranged. That’s the service Dabs used to provide so Thank You Alex!
