NO UK PLUG? "CUSTOMER SERVICE" THINKS THIS IS MY PROBLEM....

Ordered a monitor which didn't come with a UK plug, customer service not willing to rectify despite legislation in this country preventing sale of goods without UK plugs. I have let them know by email but it has been denied/ignored. Told to contact manufacturer. Have contacted Citizens Advice who advised I quote 1979 Sale of Goods Act and describe as unfit for purpose. Hoping that they may now do something... Ridiculous situation would never use again...

Top Quality Customer Service (Update)

I purchased a £83.00 Zyxel NSA360 NAS box from dabs.com on the 18th November.
I did not pay extra for the express delivery and instead went for the cheapest option.
What a surprise when Royal Mail delivered it recorded only 2 days after ordering.

I had been having problems with the unit for a week and after lots of testing I decided the box must be faulty so I emailed dabs.com.
Lauren got back to me within 24 hours and offered a full refund and said I could return the item and they would reimburse me the postage or they would arrange collection.

As I browsed the web I found several people had similar problems and had different ways to fix the problem so I tried several options, some of which seemed to work so I kept the item. Over the Christmas period I never used the box but when I set it all up again in January I had the same problems again, so I contacted dabs.
I expected the "You should have returned it to us" or "contact the manufacturer" but no. Lauren was sorry II was still having problems and has arranged for the item to be collected from me and is going to issue a full refund, not a credit like some on-line stores.

I fully intend to buy a replacement from dabs.com especially after the service I have had from them. Lauren in particular has been helpful, polite and quick to reply to my emails. I have no reservations about recommending dabs.com to anyone.

I too agree most people only leave reviews if something goes wrong

Update:
My parcel was picked up on time.
I was informed it had been received and within 3 days a full refund.
I am about to reorder from Dabs.com

I did order a new Zyxel NSA325v2 NAS box, and only paid for the cheapest delivery option, but it still arrived only 2 days from placing my order.

Shady and dodgy practices, Avoid like the plague

I ordered two items both of which were in stock which would be "Delivered within 1-3 working days after order was placed" on the third working day i contacted to ask where the order was and received no reply. The order the next day had the wording to changed to "1-3 days after the order is processed"

On the day 6 after order the status of my order changed to my items were being picked by their warehouse team. On day 8 this was still the status.

On day 6 i had received a reply saying it was too late to cancel as it had been passed to the warehouse team but they would try and stop the order but it was likely i would be invoiced and would receive the items but they would offer me a free return which would mean me finding someone to be in while waiting for the package to be collected. On day 7 baring in mind the order still hadn't been shipped and was still being picked by their warehouse team (must be a warehouse the size of the whole of Bolton) I contacted them to tell them their own terms and conditions state that an order can be cancelled at any time until it had been shipped and i expected the order cancelled and no money to be taken. Day 8 i emailed yet again asking for a response to my email the previous day.

Day 9 the order was dispatched and i was invoiced. Day 10 one item of two arrived as yet the second item has not. Day 10 i have asked for my complaint to be escalated to the head of customer services and will contact the Ombudsmen if this is not resolved soon.

Look elsewhere you'll be doing yourself a favour. Stay away! Avoid this site at all cost.

First of all their not the cheapest online, I suggest you look elsewhere, you'll find what you're looking for cheaper in much reliable, reputable sellers out there. I'm having a nightmare refunding something that I didn't get in the first place. They use very unreliable couriers paired with very inefficient supplier. I've been chasing my refund for a month and all they keep saying is they need proof from the supplier that they have indeed received the item from the courier. A MONTH GONE, and still no one can tell me if they have even tried to contact the supplier. Now they're saying it has been requested for RMA. RMA? my order wasn't even delivered and now its been booked for an RMA. What a load of non-sense. Do yourself a favour and never order from this company.

They lie about the stock they have to try and get you to order. If you place an order with them, expect a wait.

Next day delivery: What a joke!

Ordered a load of components that were all in stock. Added a recommended bundle which included some cable ties. Cable ties were out of stock.

Got two CPU's the next day, nothing else.
Emailed customer service 3 times. No response.
Rang customer service, no reply.
Eventually got through in the afternoon of the second day and promised that my components would be delivered the next day.
Next day, no delivery. Same trouble getting through to customer services on email or phone. Eventually got through and they removed the cable ties that weren't in stock and promised a Monday delivery as they had missed the Saturday delivery by this stage.
Monday - no delivery. Same trouble getting through to customer services. Eventually get through and whilst we'd been waiting for stock of cable ties, the memory ordered had gone out of stock, despite it showing in stock on the website.
Cancelled the order after 45 minutes on the phone.

Dabs used to be good, what happened! Worst service I've ever received.

Bought 3 things from there and they all came with Royal mail and came within 5 days very impressed good prices recommended for PC parts!

Dishonest about stock levels to get customers to buy now

Ordered a networking cable over two weeks ago, website promised plenty of stock available. Despite a previous call querying the delay where I was told stock would be arriving the next day and it would be immediately dispatched and i would receive a dispatch note about it, I have heard nothing 4 days on from then.

Pretty rubbish experience and not going to use dabs again. This company is clearly not honest about stock levels in order to persuade customers to order, and then they don't even have the decency to inform you of a delay once you have placed an order. You'll have to ring them up yourself after weeks of wondering what happened.

Good Service

Great prices to start with, bought most of my pc parts from there. Delivery was brillliant was at my house within 3 days, this was with standard delivery. Parts were undamaged and well incased in a box. Cannot comment on customer support as they were not needed.

Did not look at fault

Only 90% would use again??? 1 in 10 deals are not happy with the service you provide, that is a lot of unhappy customers. Well now after trading with you for around 15 years I find hat I will not trade with you again after the deplorable attitude you have when returning a faulty motherboard. You failed to check the fault and rejected the return by finding some bent pins on the CPU socket. What a cheapskate way of dealing with a return.

Returned to Dabs the supplier who carried out a visual inspection. They found that several pins on the CPU mounting socket bent/twisted and rejected the complaint and sent the duff motherboard back to me.
I have no idea whether the pins were bent before I installed the CPU or whether I damaged it removing the CPU and trying to fit the plastic cover or whether it happened sending it back or even they damaged it.
The reason for sending it back was 6 USB sockets did not work. They have not checked this problem, they have failed to justify the rejection because they have not checked it.

Sneaky tricks! Avoid!

Used them back in the day, for a good few things, but recently they seem to have gone terrible!

Ordered an ethernet cable on a Friday, stated they had 50 in stock. The following Wednesday, still hadn't received it. I then phoned customers service, only to be told were awaiting shipment of those cables, might be today, might be tomorrow, but when we get them, we will send yours out.

I went on the website, cancelled immediately and ordered with amazon and had the cable the following day!

So either dabs were lying about stock levels in order to get people to still place orders, OR..... I had placed my order and 50 other people had quickly gotten orders on that item placed before me.

I think I know which one it was.

I will never use them again, so much easier just to stick to amazon, hassle free start to finish!

Everything arrived fine

I bought a case on there, it was cheaper than most sites and I thought I'd bag a bargain. Ordered it on Saturday, arrived on the following Tuesday by UPS delivery.
only slight problem is I got the dispatch notice before the confirmation notice, could be a small problem with the mailing system.

I'm quite happy with their service.

Dabs service has gone down the hill in the past 12 months

Dabs was one of the few online retailer who really excelled in terms of return and refund processing something similar and comparable to the excellent Amazon. But after my recent experience with them (order number: SO03735728) I have to say that their service has gone down to a level that no one should bother to buy anything from them and that applies to me as well. And this will not change unless customers like me don't get their money back for the goods which had to be returned at own cost which were sold on the strength of false reviews and constant fluctuating prices. I sincerely hope that management of Dabs reads these review and do some damage control otherwise like many online retailer Dabs will go down the memory lane very soon.

mostly harmless

Most of the time its smooth. You order, you pay, you get the goods a few days later.
My last two experiences however had issues and the eticket system is a) slow to respond b) they often don't reply in context to your query as if they'd actually read it and c) customer services seem unable to actually do anything to turn an unhappy customer into a happy one.
I don't know whether I've just been unlucky but it's been clear that 2 of the items I've received in 2 separate orders had been opened, presumably in the warehouse.

late delivery , unconcerned support , no protective bubble wrap inside package

Anyway never arrived because they didnt send it as next day delivery they just sent it as first class
So it arrived the next day after me spending all day emailing them and waiting for my delivery
I opened the outer box and to my dismay the GFX card i ordered was just taped inside the box
no bubble wrap nothing I mean its sensitive equipment FFS luckily it still worked
Well needless to say I wont use them again .. oh yeah and the email they finally sent me had spelling mistakes and was not even relevant to my questions , They offered me a refund for delivery which they never charged me lol
Anyway if you don't mind when it arrives and the product is not fragile be my guest ;)

Rubbish service, zero customer service

I ordered a hard drive online which was supposedly in stock.
The postage was first class recorded so as I ordered on a tuesday I expected it by friday.
On the following monday, 6 days after ordering I receiceved an email telling me it had just been dispatched!

I've still not receieved it now, 8 days later and an email of complaint I sent to them was replied to with a bog standard message stating that they take all complaints seriously and appreciate my feedback, blah blah.

Absolutely useless service and I wil not use again. There are plenty of competitors out there and companies that perform like this are not going to survive very long as internet shopping continues to grow.

Have used them before and will do again, not the cheapest but at least they don't just take your money then refund it 3 months later. Ordered 3 items on Friday, got one on Tuesday and the other two on Wednesday.

Not too impressed with them really. Not the cheapest around either.

I did Buy it Now for two drives on DABS's eBay store. I payed and within minutes found them cheaper on eBuyer (with free 24hr shipping). I messaged DABs via eBay to ask as to whether they would refund the difference, or..... since I saw on their Web Site that they do not price match?, to agree to cancelling the transaction and I would buy from eBuyer instead.
My messages went ignored and the next working day I got a message to say items were shipped. I messaged DAB's again, this time stating that I would have no option but to leave Negative feedback if they do not respond to my messages, at which point I received a flurry of replies to my earlier messages. They now suggest I refuse delivery with Royal Mail (hang on one minute.... The auction says "courier"??)... and the drives will be returned to them.... Only to then have to fight them for my refund??? I don't think so!!
I will take it on the chin this time but I WILL NOT BUY FROM DABS AGAIN!!!
They are not the cheapest around anyway and I recommend you always spend a few minutes shopping around a little. I found eBuyer cheaper than DABs for the drives I bought and they also offer 24hr free shipping on them too.
I also notice that eBuyer seem to reply to every review posted about their company on Trustpilot..... Something clearly DABs do not do.

Also, please bear in mind that people are more likely to review if they have had a bad experience and wish to tell people about it. This probably accounts for the lower scoring in general for both DABs and also other companies on here. It shouldn't be taken on face value..... and to be honest.... I would try any company 'once' regardless of previous reviews (good or bad)!

Excellent price, excellent service. What more could you want?

I've ordered about 1200 euro worth of Items from Dabs over the past year.
All of the parts were extremely cheap in comparison to other retailers and all of my parts were delivered quickly and in perfect condition.
The only time I have ever had to deal with their support was when I stupidly forgot to add a free USB to my cart. I must say, their support is excellent. My emails were answered quickly and my issue (if that's what you'd call it...I call it stupidity) was fixed without any problems!
Dabs also have great deals and coupons every few weeks. They really saved me a whole lot of money.
My family have used Dabs on numerous occasions before and each of them have been extremely happy with their products too.
So thank you Dabs, myself and my family will be using you for years to come!

Avoid!

Ordered a power supply some memory and a PC case from them. All items were in stock at the time of placing my order, only to find out a day later that the memory was out of stock and the order would be delayed, the following day I checked their stock levels, to find that they had 90, of the item in stock, so I contacted them about this and was told that the item was out of stock and I would have to wait a further 7 day to receive the order. I don't like being lied to.

Their customer support is absolutely appalling I contacted them via email on on the phone to ask them some questions regarding the order before I placed it, only to be told that they cannot give any product advice, and I had to order the products to see if they are suitable, if not pay and go through the hassle of returning them.

Definitely NOT a company I would ever use again and certainly NOT recommend to anyone!!
