How many entries to the competitions does each customer get? I have received SO MANY entries telling me I am one of 5 left in the draw and urging me to order and send back my entry ASAP so I can ensure getting an extra £10000. It always appears I am SPECIAL as my name is listed amongst others who havebeen deleted from the list. AS an OAP I could certainly do with the £50,000 as this would pay off a lot of my mortgage STILL outstanding and keeping us poor . But I never seem to get to the final draw. What a surprise eh?
IT COST ME £2.20 to return a order that was to small I did not want a replacement .Then got statement for postage and packing for £2.95 so it cost me £5.15 for absolutely nothing .Never again will I order anything from damart again.
Placed an order - which never arrived. Damart sent a replacement order - which also never arrived. A third order was ordered and dispatched for an item that was originally out of stock - and also never arrived. No delivery cards were posted by the courier and our neighbours did not receive any parcels. The outrage is that I have been told that these have been signed for - but to date Damart have never been able to produce evidence. I have even sent them my signature on two occasions - to verify with that of the 'supposed' signer but still no response. This sheer debacle has persisted over 6 months and the bills are still coming threatening me with legal action to pay for parcels I have never received. I have lost count of the number of phone calls I have made at my own expense.
I first started using Damart over 20 years ago - now even if they were to apologise for the grief and stress that they have caused and / or offer any compensation I will never EVER shop with them again.
As an oap I decided to treat myself to some new underwear from Damart, but got an unpleasant surprise when the bras weren't the items I ordered. After calling their prime rate number at my expense and being put on hold several times I was informed that the catalogue was wrong and that I couldn't have the bras I wanted. No apology was given, nor and their customer service was shocking. I was left deflated, both by their lack of customer service skills and by my lack of brassiere support. I have decided never to shop with them again and want to warn others. Mrs Maggs
Damart is a joke. Its service is absoulutly shocking. I placed an order in June 2012, at 3:30 after reiceving it at 3 o'clock and the free gift was a leisure suit. My order came and it said three days until my free gift came. After five phone calls (at 10p per minute), today I have just been told once again 'OUT OF STOCK', no chance of me getting and it would i like another gift (maybe some plastic plates like before). I have now asked for my name and address to be removed of their systems and not to be informed about their 'free gifts' again and instead of promising £50,000 to be won they should concentrate on good customer service. This is the worst customer service I have ever witnessed and I will NOT be using Damart again.
My gran loves thermals and she swears by Damart's. It's not really my cup of tea but none the less the cult status my gran gives damart's thermals has become an ongoing joke in the family.
I odered some the other day (it's been a cold start to the summer :( ) service was good and gran as a result was happy. Though I doubt she needs them now lol
I purchased some thermal pants from Damart and they were a couple of days late through no fault of their own (it was the peak of Christmas). I phoned to chase them and they were nothing but polite, professional and helpful. Only problem was that with the mild winter, I didn't really need to use them :-$
Damart has the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. The service is not helpful or encouraging to customers.
I've placed at least four orders with Damart and I've only received one; which was left with a neighbour. A seond time a delivery card from Hermes was left saying that a parcel was left with a neighbour. Very excited I went to the neighbour's house and was told no delivery came that day. The neighbour was at work all day. I contacted Damart who said they were unable to tract the order and I had to wait till the order was returned to their warehouse. This took more than a week. Hermes delivery is as inefficient as is Damart. Hermes said they unsuccessfully attempted to deliver my order.Hermes failed to explain they give customers very little time to come to the door (I am disabled) and they do not leave contact details on heir cards to enable customers to contact them and rearrange delivery. The order was returned to Damart.
I called Damart and complained only to be told 'this is what happens' and there's little I can do. I was told to expect a refund (less p& p) if I still wanted the goods, I'd have to reorder the goods.
I reordered and surprise, surprise its happened again. Again I called Damart and was told the same thing. The staff member seemed surprised and made a comment when I told him I was going to register a complaint - will I ever receive an order from Damart delivered by Hermes - 'hell no'. Will I use this service again 'NEVER'.
I'm unable to rae the company because I've not had the opportunity to enjoy their products........... I'm so disappoined.
Found some annoying moth holes in my pyjama trousers on opening packet!! But all other pairs were ok. Strange! Bought 4 pairs.
Quick delivery! That made me happy! Will now have to deal with those trouser problems!!
My Wife ordered some products at the beginning of October. A while later two identical packages turned up! Checked - yes - we had been charged for both. Asked for a Returns label/refund.
Two weeks later a returns label turned up (after several chases at 10p a minute (no other way to contact)). Sent duplicated parcel back. After another two weeks (and some further chasing) the CC was credited back - minus the p&p!!!
Called yet again to have the £2.95 p@p refunded (by this time I had spent more on calls than the refund!). Was told that there was a record on file to do refund and that it would be done soon.
Two weeks later - still no refund - called again to complain (by this time I had managed to find a geographic number for them, so cheaper). Was told that £2.95 refund would be processed soonest, and when I mentioned the amount I had previously spent on calls to try and resolve THEIR mistake I was told they would also credit my CC with a £5 goodwill payment to cover the cost.
Having recently checked (nearly 2 months after original purchase!) they have credited the £2.95 p&p now - but no sign of the "Goodwill" payment.
I am debating whether I have the will to contact them yet again, as they appear never to do what they promise to do (or at least not without a lot of expensive chasing!)
As I put in the title - Good Products - but sadly their CS is significantly lacking when it comes to correcting a mistake they make.
My Wife and I will think long and hard before we consider placing an order with them ever again.
The customer service at Damart is a joke. The Company seem to believe that because they sell a good product line, they don't need to bother about keeping their loyal customers happy with good service. If they send the wrong colour/size/item they deduct your credit card again before they even send out a prepayed returns label. Their customer service people are poorly trained and don't have a proper understanding of the products. I have been a Damart customer for nearly 30 years but I've had enough and won't use them again. I hate all the prize junk that comes with the catalogue, it's like the old Readers Digest marketing, and that Company has now folded. Is Damart next? Message to Damart - take a look at the customer service provided by Lakeland Limited and 'learn'.

i have a love-hate relationship with damart: their goods are excellent quality but the service is really bad. in spite of myself, i keep shopping online with them although i know i will have problems with delivery.
goods are late or get lost; damart doesn't tell you whether items are in stock or not (or the info is wrong); they don't send a message to tell you that goods or dispatched or when you can expect them. in brief, you order and then you wait... one week, two weeks, three weeks, four weeks... and the goods might suddenly appear.
the call centre cannot answer any questions about delivery.
so unfortunately damart really does not meet standards online shoppers expect: tracking, fast delivery, accurate stock info.
but damart sells good stuff! if only they could update their website and improve their distribution!!!
I ordered an item in blue and I received the wrong colour white 8 days after ordering.
I asked them to send a replacement in blue (which they duly did) but that arrived about a week after ordering.
Because I liked the replacement item, I then asked them to exchange the (white) item I had returned with the original colour I had ordered (blue).
This replacement item has still yet to arrive.
The whole saga has taken over 3 and half weeks. I ordered an Apple iPod yesterday with a portable speaker and it arrived today.
Get a grip Damart; your service is rubbish. If I could give you no stars, I would have.
although i give damart only two starts, i must start by saying that i like their products and their prices. but, BUT, BUT the online shopping experience is atrocious. i have placed three orders in the last few months and each time i was totally disappointed with the service and the slow delivery.
1. although the website says my whole order was in stock, it was only dispatched 10 days after ordering according to damart.
2. i did not receive an email to say that my order was dispatched although most online companies do that nowadays.
3. although most companies manage to deliver to us within two or three days, damart takes between 10 days to 4 weeks.
4. when i phone to enquire where my order is, the (very friendly) ladies seem to have no access to practical information such as when the card was debited, when the items were sent or when they can be expected.
5. there is no online tracking facility to find out where the order is.
all in all, damart seems to have no idea that online shopping has evolved and that customers expect better service.

I have been trying to deal with this company for MONTHS. I have yet to receive an order or a straight answer. (The US site) I tried calling the UK company, and they claim an inability to help me, despite all the contact info on my order receipts being from UK. They never answer my questions, and I am VERY angry and frustrated. WORST company EVER.

We too have had problems with DAMART. In January 2009 my husband saw his credit card had been debited with £20 by DAMART. We emailed them, and phoned, asking why they had taken the money. They all said they hadn't taken it! He appealed to our bank who asked DAMART for the merchants copy of the transaction. They did not reply! However £20 was put back into his credit card account in late February.
We contacted DAMART and demanded to know who had made these transactions. They again replied no transactions had taken place and after further correspondence he was told he must produce proof that they had tampered with the credit card! He sent them copies of his credit card statements with a letter of complaint! They did not reply to his letter but returned his credit card bills to me! Since then he has been in correspondence with a so called senior Administrator but the whole saga is dragging on being dismissed as technical and administrative errors.
He is of the opinion that Damart has the worst Customer Service he has ever encountered.
