Although your own service was good, the delivery left something to be desired. When one pays extra for next day delivery, it's a shame the delivery company doesn't make the required effort. I stayed in all day, only to find an "unable to deliver as you were out" postcard in my mail box, so had to take the time to go to the depot the following day to collect.

Naturally I am very disappointed to hear that DHL did not manage to deliver the shipment to you next day and wholeheartedly apologise for any inconvenience caused. DHL will redeliver free of charge on an subsequent day but I understand that you may have needed the package sooner.
When a "unable to deliver as you were out" postcard is placed in a mail box it means that the driver has physically been to the address but could not get a signature for the shipment.
We paid them for a next day service and we will certainly be speaking to our account manager to see what the problem was.
