I purchased a Gibson Firebird Studio 70's Tribute guitar that was at a very good price.
Unfortunately the paint finish was not so good -typical Gibson!-and there was a straight scratch about 3 inches long on the back of the body-not terrible but not good for a new guitar.
The guitar plays and sounds wonderful-very impressed with the pickups.
I contacted Dawson's and they offered me 2 Fender guitar cables as compensation and I accepted.
I think it was a fair deal and I am very happy with their service..
This is the first time using Dawsons. I was looking for a guitar for my son.
Placing an order was easy through their website and a lot of useful information since I did not have any knowledge about guitars.. The delivery arrived on Tuesday during the day after placing my order on the Sunday. The guitar is lovely and comes with a beautiful case. The guitar is the Farida brand.
Dawsons had the Mustang 1 V2 amp at a very competetive price which matched the lowest on-line price I could find. The order was processed, dispatched and received within 48hrs. I could not have asked for more. Outstanding!
Always great value. I once got sent a faulty product and thought i was going to have a lot of problems. No chance !! sorted out almost as quickly as it has taken me to write this. Would always recommend Dawsons for music stuff.
We searched long and hard for a deal on the guitar that my son wanted. I'd not heard of Dawsons before, so was unsure what to expect. I need not have worried - the web site was clear and easy to use, prices are very competitive and the speed of delivery was fantastic. I was also able to track the parcel, although the speed of delivery meant that I didn't need to check where it was! The guitar was well packaged and my son is absolutely thrilled with it.

Great website, gave me the low down on the guitar I was thinking of buying not to mention the stock levels and which shops had it. Buying was painless, communications were excellent and shipping was fast. Overall a seamless, smooth experience. Oh, and the guitar is excellent!
Product was disatched two days after ordering. It arrived in secure packaging. The product was also checked by staff before shipment which guaranteed it was sent out in excellent condition. Would use this website again.
Staff were very helpful when I called before placing the order for the newly released Yamaha PSR 343 keyboard. They checked that they had actually received a shipment and told me it was being processed through the warehouse and would be available after the weekend. I placed the order the Friday of the bank holiday weekend and was notified by email of dispatch on Tuesday and it arrived by courier first thing Wednesday. I have no hesitation recommending Dawson's Music. The price was also the most competitive.
I was delighted to see Dawson's stocking the guitar I've been after for quite some time...I applied online, it arrived by the Thursday after I bought it on the Saturday.
Box arrived open (maybe not Dawson's fault, but, are the seller and under sales of goods act...etc etc)
I've been speaking with Paul at Dawson's who has been very helpful thus far, in arranging courier pick up to take the guitar to Dundee, where it will be repaired. )
Although Paul has been helpful I am concerned that after purchasing an item valued at £429, it should then turn up damaged. I am in a quandary as it's the finish and instrument I've been after for some time, but I do feel my purchase has been slightly tainted, especially as I now have to wait for repair and have my wife wait in to receive delivery of the item again, (busy with kids, life etc) after I've done this and now left without the guitar for a period of time.
If all gets resolved to my satisfaction I will be the first to contact Dawsons to thank them, but I would like to think the issue with the selector switch and for the scratches on the guitar, that I should receive some form of goodwill to restore my faith in Dawsons as a customer.
Ordered my daughters birthday present, a new keyboard, with very little time to spare. Next day delivery, yes will have that! Order all went through and next day means the very next day right?! 2 days till her birthday luckily!! Stayed in all day (that was a pain! but couldn't miss it!) hoping to hide it before home from school. At 3pm rang Dawsons ..... The chap was very helpful, called me back after investigating but the item hadn't been collected by the courier and would not be out til next day, they gave me an hour slot of my choosing (but this was my idea!!). They didn't seem that bothered, I was megga disappointed and worried. Left me unhappy and nervous that it might not arrive, and already wasted most of my day. The keyboard did arrive that one day late, and was perfect, but the day before the birthday. Next day delivery should have meant next day or don't offer it!!
Bought my guitar online and from order to delivery i was updated every step of the way, the telecaster deluxe was one of the cheapest online but it was Dawsons reputation that won it for me, the guitar arrived quickly and was good to go straight from the case, i am definately now a Dawsons regular.

I'd been looking for a half size guitar for a long time trying to find the one i would like the most. In the end i found one on this site which i instantly too a liking too.
It arrived fairly quickly, never had a half size guitar before so i wasn't expecting anything too amazing, but it works great, literally is a pint sized version of any guitar on the market and performs just as well.
Only thing i will say is that the half size case i ordered to go with it..... is too small :/
Other than that.... 10/10
I ordered an epiphone ej200ce in VS. Originally I weren't sure if they had any in stock so I sent an email to double check, the next day they send me an email telling me that they had 16 in stock. So I decided to place the order, by my amazement the guitar came 2 days later! Brilliant service by dawsons, much better then Gear4music I have to say.
Products were despatched and received very quickly. The customer service telephone calls were handled in a very friendly and professional way. A thoroughly satisfying shopping experience :-)
I ordered a Marshall Amp refridgerator from Dawsons Music in mid-April but received an email from them to inform me that they wouldn't have any in stock until the end of that month and to email them back if I could wait. I agreed to wait and as soon as the item arrived in their warehouse I received a phonecall from them to organise delivery. The member of staff I spoke to was really helpful and friendly and actually managed to facilitate the fridges delivery to my doorstep on the following day. I called them during the course of the delivery day to see if they could give me a specific delivery time and although this wasn't possible the member of staff I spoke to gave me an internet address I could use to track where my delivery was. Once again the member of staff who dealt with my queery was genuinely helpful and seemed happy to solve my problem. I would definitely use this company again and was very impressed with their service. But most of all, the staff I had the pleasure to encounter were a credit to them. I'm tired of shoddy, couldn't care less attitudes and bad service these days but Dawsons genuinely appear to treat their customers as if they value them, so kudos to them.
I was trying to locate a Pioneer DJ system for my sons 18th birthday and had been unsuuceesful in purchasing from my local dealer in Carlisle who failed to return a number of calls and eventually quoted a 2 week delivery time......Dawsons however were excellent, from the internet search to the phone call and finally to the very speedy delivery everything went very well. The member of staff who answered my enquiry was very helpful and seemed genuinely interested.
The system arrived overnight and I could not have wished for a better buying experience....Well Done Dawsons Music.
