Our supplier sent us a parcel today which we are not aware about this shipment.
DHL customer service Ashikin called and inform us on the payment collection. My colleague picked up her call. before passing the phone to me, she needs to take down the name before passing the phone to me. Ashikin replied "DHL" with inpatient volume.
When she was on the phone with me, i told her that i am not aware of this shipment and ask to fax over the invoice and we shall check with our supplier for clarification.
She replied with her inpatient voice and ask me to get back to her immediately once i checked with my supplier.
She called me back in 2-3mins time and I told her that i haven't received her fax yet. She sounds inpatient and told me that she had fax over the invoice. I asked her to re-fax so that i can check with my supplier immediately. She replied "ok, i will re-fax again. Anyway i had fax over to you just now" and put down the phone immediately when i haven't finish my conversations!!
This is nonprofessional at all!!
How can she shown her attitude when the customer is talking to her nicely!??!!
The 3rd time when Ashikin call again, my colleague picked up her call. When my colleague told her that i was in the ladies, she replied "anyway i just want to check whether she received my fax or not!" then cut off the line immediately!
Such a sucks customer service!!
DO NOT ORDER THROUGH DHL EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made a $20 purchase online through them and they brought it to my apartment door without ANY NOTICE when I wasn't home and they left me a note saying they'll try one more time (WHICH WAS NOT SAID WHEN) and threatened me with a final notice. So I called them and said "Please, I work every day and I will not be home, Let me pick up my package" And the lady said Okay, You can pick it up at Loomis Express. And I just got a voice mail from them saying I'm, getting charged $30. For what reason??? None. Do not trust this bullsh*t company.

so I get home thinking yey finally to be told oh the dhl gay came but didnt leave package as a fee is to be paid, any note or letter of how much or an indication of any fee. So let me see how can I pay a fee if I dont know about it.. as if... I email dhl, they forward me to vat dept and guess what still awaiting a reply 2 hours later. Shocking.
Utter disgrace how you treat customers.
Do not use them for your business logistics, they will crumble you!! making silly mistakes that causes financial losses and 'ALL THEY CAN DO IS APOLOGIZE' !! this is the worst shipping experience of my business life, thanks to you! FINANCIAL SUICIDE.
DHL is a business to business service provider, and expect the recipient to behave as a business, i.e. to remain at home until they decide to make a delivery. My advice is never to order from companies that use DHL as a courier or misery will ensue. Every time DHL has been involved as a courier has resulted in delays and frustration, for which they expect to be well paid.
This is my first experience with DHL and I sincerely hope it to be my LAST...I bought from china some stuff to be send in ireland..my delivery was late because it was at Clearance event for some time..i call them and i spent 12e because they given mi other numbers to call.i ask why staying so long..
Your shipment was stopped by Customs for exam. They have now requested to see proof of purchase and will accept, PayPal, Western Union receipt or debit/credit card statement.
i send the paper to them to see that i pay everyting..after 2 days they send mi a sms with the some requirements..so i send again and again..after that they send me a mes ..dear costumer you must to pay costoms import taxes of 12.66e to receiv the shipment..i call them again What's the alternative because i dont want to give them my bank details by phone and they say to give the mony to the driver but i will not receiv a receiver..ok no problem ..and so now waiting for my package after long time..the value of the pack is 50e and the dhl tax and shipment is 48.66e the box has 1killo..and the time 2 to 6 days..nothing was ok..i hopp i will have my pack..no received information when they wiil come..cheers and no recommend dhl
This is my 3rd time having bad experience with DHL Germany. For the first 2 times i have purchased a jacket and some motorcycle gear from ebay Germany and a German based shop respectively. The DHL service they were using is Paket International and it took 4 weeks to reach Hong Kong, as compared to a 10-12 days quote. In the end i found out that DHL Germany was shipping my stuff by sea instead of air in both occasions. Meanwhile the tracking update is the worst i have ever experienced. My packages were stuck in their export sorting centres for like 4 days, and the 60% status has been stuck for over 2 weeks.
OK now the third time. The reason why i decided to use them once more is because the shop was using Paket PREMIUM, which from my research has faster delivery times. I bought some outdoor stuff from the Netherlnds on 1/10/13. DHL went to pickup my package 5 days later, sits in their sorting centre for a day or 2 and same thing happening again, it has been stuck at 60% until now, that is well over 2.5 weeks. And so i am expecting them to ship my goods by sea again, even PREMIUM service was used.
In my opinion this is really misleading. This is 2013 and stop shipping goods by sea with an airmail cost. We paid for the shipping costs. We did not pay like 5 dollars for shipping but paying like 70 bucks. For 70 bucks i get Express or Priority Airmail if i purchase from the US i am 100% sure.
Bottomline is that i will not look at purchasing from Germany anymore as most of the German shops use DHL. There has been NO problem with the shops whatsoever, it is just DHL. And by the way, DHL (Deutsch Post) and DHL (Luftpost) have same problems so yea.
This is my first experience with DHL and I sincerely hope it to be my last. Our company will never use them and I have told the supplier that just used that that they are utterly FORBIDDEN to use them in future when it comes to any shipping that they are sending us. I signed up for the online tracking and all notifications on the package, got one initial email and then nothing. DHL then refused to tell us even when this critical shipment might arrive into the country. I explained that we have doctors who can't help ill patients because we/they are waiting for these parts to arrive. Does DHL care and do anything to remotely help us, even just share a bit of information? NO. And they weren't very friendly to any inquiry. I've learned far more from my customs broker about the status of the DHL shipment than from DHL themselves. In my 25 year career, I can honestly say that this has been the worst customer service that I have ever had - not just from a shipping company - but from any company I have ever dealt with. The only bright side is that it has highlighted to me that Welke is a phenomenal Customs Broker who regularly goes above and beyond for their clients.
I called because my package was sitting in the Federal Way WA office for over a week without moving. The lady on the phone was extremely condescending and rude telling me that was impossible. However, when I told her I was looking at the tracking records on their website and she finally looked it up herself she found out that I was right. Then she just said, "Oh yeah it is. Oh well whatever." I asked her for an explanation and she just said they must be busy there. I asked her when I could expect the package and she snapped at me and said it will get there in a few days. I asked her to be more specific and she said by the end of the week, so Friday, well maybe Friday. Ugh! This whole conversation happened AFTER I had emailed this question to them TWICE days before calling. Then calling got transferred four times and waited on hold for almost an hour. They run their company just like our government is running our budget!
Never EVER have I had to write so many complaints to a company in the space of three weeks, firstly my delivery was late and when I noticed there was an error on my tracking I rang them up to tell them this myself, because they're too stupid to even notice themselves. After that I was told I had to wait 3 more days until I would recieve my order. Then I was DOUBLE charged for duty fee, when I rang the company up it took them one week to even confirm that I would recieve my refund and two weeks later I am still waiting for it and I called them up asking why this was after the lady told me it would only take a few days at the most, I was told my payment wasn't even processed at all and now I have to wait another 5 days for this payment to make it back into my bank. I still don't understand why companies use this pathetic excuse of a shipping company. Really hope company's find better alternatives than this, worst service, rude advisors; all seem very uneducated they can't even work their own systems to know if someone has already payed for duty or not.
I bought some products online and the seller, without asking me, decided it was a nice gesture to send the items through courier, even though I had paid for regular international mail to Canada. They used DHL for shipping and DHL charges a minimum of $14 plus tax in addition to the taxes and duties I owed Canada Customs. So, if you live in Canada, you have 2 choices: keep your purchase under $20 or buy enough to justify paying DHL's fees. Keep in mind they charge 2.5% of the product value or $10, whichever is highest + $4 C.O.D. fee + taxes. And when you call to ask them why are you paying $28 on a $36 package, they will tell you to take it with the government because taxes are so high. Then they tell you that, if you lived in the US, your threshold would be so much higher so the problem is that you live in Canada, even though the actual taxes are only $12 and the rest are their ridiculous fees. The DHL person I spoke to said they get lots of upset calls about their fees however from what I gather, people pay them because they have little choice. What is the point of buying things online if you have to pay double the original price in the long run?
They already got payment for their services by the seller however I'm pretty sure I will be stuck with the useless DHL $16 fee for simply knocking at my door and spending a minute at the customs counter. I know it's a matter of 1 minute because I have done my own brokerage at customs close to the Toronto airport and it literally takes no time. I can't do that now because I moved to a town 3 hours away from the GTA and I don't drive. Otherwise I would be there in a heartbeat. It's worth the drive just to make a point if you are close by.
DHL suggested I should refuse the package to avoid the fees and offered no other solution. My experience with FEDEX and UPS is that they are more understanding and will meet you in the middle depending on what you bought. They do have fees per line in the invoice and other stuff however they understand when their fees are just too high and will at least try and help you out.
I,ve sat by the door now for 2 days, both days were committed too for a redelivery. Many phone calls made to no effect..It seems that the drivers are a law to themselves-and they may decide not to deliver,if it suits them.I,d like to take a baseball bat to the depot
I was going on amend invoce for duty and taxes. Sent all papers in june. Don trust what they promise about invoice. Rippers.
Very important package coming from England, apparently arrived about four days later, however, I wasn’t home when they came by. They left a note to stop by the next day, they never came. I tried to contact someone but never got through to anyone. I went on line to set up a delivery time and it looked as though it was going to come on Thursday, stayed in ALL DAY. By 6pm I thought, well doesn’t look like it’s going to come so I ran out for a quick errand. Took the cel phone to have the buzzer ring me if they came by. Lo and behold they ring the buzzer but I didn’t catch it in time, I was driving. I turned my car around, only 3 minutes up the road and when I got there, there was no sign of the truck. No second attempt to ring us on the number provided. I finally get through to someone today, Friday, and they tell me they have no idea where my package is and I could try to go by the pickup location but it may or may not be there. The pick up location is 45 minutes away!!! So now I have to risk the drive there to possibly find out it’s on a truck somewhere. I’m in Ottawa, Ontario, one location 45 minutes away, what’s that about?? Honestly, never, ever going to use their service again, this has been an unreal week of frustration with this unorganized company.
I began writing a long description of what happened here, but, honestly I'm so angry I'm not going to wast another second of my valuable time on these idiots.
I am horrified by the lack of service provided by DHL. I had an important and irreplaceable document crumpled up and jammed into the letterbox of what appears to be a derelict house down the road. The driver did this without even calling one of our 4 listed numbers to check if we were home. (We were, a few doors away.) It has taken hours to get anyone in customer service to take this seriously. I actually cannot believe this company gets away with such appalling "service". I will never use DHL again, and I will make sure that everyone I know is aware of this incident. Maybe the undercover boss should have gone undercover to see what abysmal service DHL customers receive at the hands of this joke of a company.

Is there a DHL Customer Service out there?? (One that actually does something).
If you have read my earlier summary of the disaster trying to get DHL in France to collect an item for warranty repair (which the maker and I finally gave up on), you may be interested in reading the latest escapade which this time revolves around a delivery (which I have no control over otherwise DHL would not be involved!).
Last Saturday I returned home to find a recorded message that DHL had tried to deliver a package but could not find the house. Confused (I was not expecting a delivery) I called DHL International to be told that the local agent had visited our village but could not find our house. I asked why he/she had not telephoned to get directions and was told that our telephone number was known. Yes, you may have guessed my response was "in that case how did you leave a message on my telephone" - hmmmmm was the response.......
So, it was agreed that DHL would now deliver the package the next Monday as they did not work over the weekend. I stayed in on Monday and when nothing was heard by midday I telephoned DHL only to be told that they didn't work on Monday either.....! One day off work.
As it was agreed that the package would now be delivered on Tuesday, again, I stayed at home and again received a phone call from a very embarrassed French lady at 12.30 telling me that the driver had forgotten the package and could they deliver on Wednesday......!
At this point I INSISTED that they gave me a delivery time (as opposed to a day) and we agreed to 14.00 to 16.00 tomorrow. Bet it doesn't happen!!!
Anyway DHL Customer Services, I don't expect you to actually do anything but you may wish to look at the records associated with shipment 6774242274 - if nothing else it is good for a laugh (and I STILL don't know what is in the package)
I regularly order goods from the USA, not large amounts as I am not a company. The people who send these goods to me use DHL to ship them to me in the UK. The good part (one star) is that the parcels have always arrived and delivered by personable drivers, the absolutely awful and incomprehensible part is their method of collecting VAT. The truth is there is no method that I can fathom out and no way of establishing a system. I have: paid the driver, received an invoice, been phoned up to pay over the phone, opened an account at their request which they have never allowed me to use, been pursued by bad debt recovery companies when DHL did not either phone or invoice me about VAT on a parcel they delivered or even send me a reminder which would have alerted me to a charge I was ignorant of. The worst of this all is that you can never talk to anyone to sort any of this out. The only people I have ever talked to at DHL is a payment clerk. If I had a choice in this matter I would not use DHL but the suppliers I deal with only use them. They are big business of course and it makes sense for them but not for their small customers at the receiving end who are left at the mercy of an inconsistent and frankly frustrating service.
PS: written 24 hours after the above. This time I got an automated message which I had to listen to three times to make any sense of. This message told me to go to a website to pay... Problem was the waybill number was truncated in one part of the message and the website address was unclear. I had to spend 10 mins on the computer searching for the correct place to pay.
Never had a problem with DHL unlike most of the delivery companies who struggle to deliver to my address. They are very accommodating and deliver to an alternative address without fuss. Absolutely reliable. If there is any problem with delivery they just give you a phone call to check, whereas other companies wander around lost, give up and 2 days later you get a card through the door to say they cannot deliver or 'it's back at the depot luv'. Once took a month to get Yodel to deliver a parcel. For this area they are the best delivery company to use.
If I could give DHL GLOBAL MAIL customer service a 0, I would. Dealing with their "management" on the phone over a parcel I'm expecting, was absolute hell. I was berated and snapped at and have never had such a horrible customer service experience in my life. I will never order though your shipping company again. I was given a myriad of different reason on why a package I ordered from a city a few hours drive away, is now over seas several days after placing my order. TERRIBLE.
I paid for an EXPRESS service to send my package to the USA - delivery 1-2 days.
How about it never arrived till 8 DAYS LATER... if I had put all my trust into DHL and never tracked the package online...The package will never have been delivered.
This is because my package was held up in customs, they required further information and stated online someone will contact me.... I RECEIVED NO CONTACT WHATSOEVER.
When I called DHL, they told me the description was not descriptive enough.
This was the fault of the DHL EMPLOYEE who processed my package. I took the items to the service point UN-WRAPPED AND UN-PACKAGED. The DHL EMPLOYEE held the items in his bare hand and saw them with his own eyes, his even asked me the description and I gave him a description.
I told him 'BEADED GLOVES, ACCESSORIES'.... The DHL EMPLOYEE typed on the waybill 'ACCESSORIES'.
Now the DHL claims department has just contact me and told me I am not able to get a full or partial refund as it was held up in customs and not with DHL.
WELL THE REASON WHY IT WAS HELD UP IN CUSTOMS IS BECAUSE OF YOU DHL! YOUR EMPLOYEE SHOULD KNOW BETTER AND PUT IN A MORE DETAILED DESCRIPTION. I DON'T WORK FOR DHL.
Can you imagine the lady for claims said that I should of put down the material, size ect of the beads!!!!
How am I meant to know that for goodness sake? When I was at your service point the DHL EMPLOYEE did not ask me for these further details... DHL IS SO WRONG FOR THAT.
There is no such thing as the DHL MONEY BACK GUARANTEE... Lies they will look for any excuse not to reimburse customers and they WILL NOT accept responsibility.
FROM NOW ON... I WILL STICK TO SENDING MY PRODUCTS WORLDWIDE VIA POST OFFICE'S INTERNATIONAL SIGNED FOR... IT'S HALF THE PRICE OF DHL ANYWAY.
I will also tell the international businesses and customers I deal with NOT to send me back anything using DHL.
On a positive note.
I sent a box of items from England to Northern Ireland with DHL, they where the cheapest price I found.
They collected the item ON TIME the courier was very helpful- the tracking was very precise and they delivered on schedule?
The biggest surprise was I had used some packets of crisps to pack out the box, when it arrived the box was in perfect condition and the crisps where just like when I had bought them. Credit where its due, thanks DHL you did it right for me.
I payed shipping around 50$ from USA to Canada, I paid taxes and they charge me extra 14$ for Processing Fee and Collect on Delivery Fee!
Called them and they told me that DHL US don't know about this canadian dhl fee!!!
I can't deal with Hidden fee so I'll take fedex or usps
For the third time in a row DHL seems to have completely messed up their basic service of taking a package from one place and delivering it to another. The first time a buzzer seemed like an inconvenience. The second time the delivery driver was more interested in the snack shop across the road (he was an outsourced driver with his own van, no DHL colours).
This time has went beyond bad service into just plain hideous service. So far they've told me I can pick up my package on a day they were shut, causing an expensive wasted journey. They've claimed my address didn't exist, that they had knocked on my door for twenty minutes and three weeks later are running out of excuses to the point of hanging up on me.
I'm told my item is out for delivery. I've been told this for three weeks straight with no end in sight to their circular logic of telling me I can pick it up, then telling me it's in the van! Weeks overdue and in desperate need of the items by Saturday with absolutely no consideration or even apology at the ridiculous delay. I've been hung up on twice in the past twenty minutes trying to find out whats going on.
Absolutely horrid service, weak customer service - an absolute shambles of a company who don't seem to care that they're messing around their customers with their incompetence and their outsourced van drivers.

hundreds of dollars to get a parcel freighted quickly from hong kong to new zealand, dhl express. one day from hong kong to new zealand, item arrived sunday, cleared customs tuesday, will not be delivered until next monday. someone has to go and get it she said.. they will not retrieve the package until someone is coming via rotorua. excuse me. delivery the next working day. that would be today. or even thursday. if i lived in auckland apparently it would be delivered tom me yesterday. i want my money back. i paid for a service i am not getting. hong kong post, nzpost, ems, fedex, ups, usps, china post, all deliver within 48 hours of items clearing customs, 99 percent of the time it is the next day. dhl would be the worst, most expensive service possible in the world

DHL has the worst possible system to deliver items to your house. Firstly their worker do not have cell phones so they are not able to call you when they reach which is a big inconvenience. When I call them to ask them when it would be delivered, they dont give a time. My shipment reached the country, I was not notified as i expected to be, since this is my first (and DEFINITELY last) time using DHL. They came to my house at 2:30 PM and didnt even tell me then. Instead they emailed the sender. They are charging me more in tax than the actual item is worth. Would definitely not recommend DHL for consumer use to even my worst enemy.

I just sent two birthday presents to my nephew. I had a parcel to pick up from DHL and left it a bit late with sending the presents, so I thought I'd combine picking up my parcel with sending the presents.
Apparently, all parcels need to be hand checked. Please make this very clear DHL. I went on your website and also called your help line before driving to your service point, and at no point did it say I will have to unwrap all the kids presents that my wife carefully wrapped the night before!
I managed to pull the kids toys out of their wrapping without damage, only for the woman dealing with my posting to stuff them back into the wrapping paper and rip it!
Then one of the boxes was too long (38cm) to fit in the already large DHL box - apparently this is the cheapest way to send with DHL (use their box), so in the end I had to pay £65 to send two kids toys to Europe and that's not even guaranteed next day delivery.
Needless to say I am extremely dissatisfied with the DHL's service and I will never, ever use them again.
"The easiest way to send a parcel to anywhere in the world" - I think not.
... oh and I tried posting this on www.dhlservicepoint.co.uk and got a 405 error page after submitting it. You can't even deliver customer feedback!
The DHL service point was at Unit 11 Millshaw Park Avenue, Millshaw Park Trading Estate, Leeds, LS11 0LR

This is the worst service company that I have done business with, they don't even bother to call you, at best, if they don't lose your package somewhere you have to go to the warehouse and get it yourself.
Don't do business with this company, especially if your package contains important documents or valuables.
I was expecting a parcel from Germany. They told me they would send it by DHL, I even received a tracking number that leaded me directly onto the DHL website. That was nice because I could see where it was.
But then I had a simple question about the delivery and wanted to get in touch with them. They told me that the tracking number is not a DHL number so they can not help me. Actually they told me it is a Yodel number. I sent them a screenshot from the website with the traking where you could see the DHL logo, they still told me it is a Yodel.
I never found out what was true, but i rate it as a very low costumer service confusing people with a DHL website when DHL is not in charge for this delivery.

The customer service does not know what to say and exact information and the driver never turned up on the address. A purely pathetic and service from them. I would say never use them if you can.

Defiantly DO NOT USE this company! They will give you one price for a shipment verbally and then send you an invoice which is usually 400% more!! It doesn't matter if you've got a contract with them or not they will TAKE YOU COURT and win! DHL is a bad bad company who relies on deception. USE THEM AT YOUR PERIL :-( my price was £65.00 for
shipment and they sent.me an invoice for over £500 ! This DHL review is an honest account of a two year legal battle......

DHL managed to run a truck over the box containing golf clubs that I had ordered. The box had tyre marks over it and when I opened the box several of the golf clubs were badly bent. I arranged for a new set to be delivered and asked DHL via their website to email me when the new parcel was being delivered. Of course they didn't do that and I am still awaiting the delivery.
DHL must have known that they had ruined the contents of the box and should have contacted the vendor.
I would advise anyone not to use this company.
