I payed shipping around 50$ from USA to Canada, I paid taxes and they charge me extra 14$ for Processing Fee and Collect on Delivery Fee!
Called them and they told me that DHL US don't know about this canadian dhl fee!!!
I can't deal with Hidden fee so I'll take fedex or usps
For the third time in a row DHL seems to have completely messed up their basic service of taking a package from one place and delivering it to another. The first time a buzzer seemed like an inconvenience. The second time the delivery driver was more interested in the snack shop across the road (he was an outsourced driver with his own van, no DHL colours).
This time has went beyond bad service into just plain hideous service. So far they've told me I can pick up my package on a day they were shut, causing an expensive wasted journey. They've claimed my address didn't exist, that they had knocked on my door for twenty minutes and three weeks later are running out of excuses to the point of hanging up on me.
I'm told my item is out for delivery. I've been told this for three weeks straight with no end in sight to their circular logic of telling me I can pick it up, then telling me it's in the van! Weeks overdue and in desperate need of the items by Saturday with absolutely no consideration or even apology at the ridiculous delay. I've been hung up on twice in the past twenty minutes trying to find out whats going on.
Absolutely horrid service, weak customer service - an absolute shambles of a company who don't seem to care that they're messing around their customers with their incompetence and their outsourced van drivers.
Absolutely furious.

hundreds of dollars to get a parcel freighted quickly from hong kong to new zealand, dhl express. one day from hong kong to new zealand, item arrived sunday, cleared customs tuesday, will not be delivered until next monday. someone has to go and get it she said.. they will not retrieve the package until someone is coming via rotorua. excuse me. delivery the next working day. that would be today. or even thursday. if i lived in auckland apparently it would be delivered tom me yesterday. i want my money back. i paid for a service i am not getting. hong kong post, nzpost, ems, fedex, ups, usps, china post, all deliver within 48 hours of items clearing customs, 99 percent of the time it is the next day. dhl would be the worst, most expensive service possible in the world

DHL has the worst possible system to deliver items to your house. Firstly their worker do not have cell phones so they are not able to call you when they reach which is a big inconvenience. When I call them to ask them when it would be delivered, they dont give a time. My shipment reached the country, I was not notified as i expected to be, since this is my first (and DEFINITELY last) time using DHL. They came to my house at 2:30 PM and didnt even tell me then. Instead they emailed the sender. They are charging me more in tax than the actual item is worth. Would definitely not recommend DHL for consumer use to even my worst enemy.

I just sent two birthday presents to my nephew. I had a parcel to pick up from DHL and left it a bit late with sending the presents, so I thought I'd combine picking up my parcel with sending the presents.
Apparently, all parcels need to be hand checked. Please make this very clear DHL. I went on your website and also called your help line before driving to your service point, and at no point did it say I will have to unwrap all the kids presents that my wife carefully wrapped the night before!
I managed to pull the kids toys out of their wrapping without damage, only for the woman dealing with my posting to stuff them back into the wrapping paper and rip it!
Then one of the boxes was too long (38cm) to fit in the already large DHL box - apparently this is the cheapest way to send with DHL (use their box), so in the end I had to pay £65 to send two kids toys to Europe and that's not even guaranteed next day delivery.
Needless to say I am extremely dissatisfied with the DHL's service and I will never, ever use them again.
"The easiest way to send a parcel to anywhere in the world" - I think not.
... oh and I tried posting this on www.dhlservicepoint.co.uk and got a 405 error page after submitting it. You can't even deliver customer feedback!
The DHL service point was at Unit 11 Millshaw Park Avenue, Millshaw Park Trading Estate, Leeds, LS11 0LR

This is the worst service company that I have done business with, they don't even bother to call you, at best, if they don't lose your package somewhere you have to go to the warehouse and get it yourself.
Don't do business with this company, especially if your package contains important documents or valuables.
I was expecting a parcel from Germany. They told me they would send it by DHL, I even received a tracking number that leaded me directly onto the DHL website. That was nice because I could see where it was.
But then I had a simple question about the delivery and wanted to get in touch with them. They told me that the tracking number is not a DHL number so they can not help me. Actually they told me it is a Yodel number. I sent them a screenshot from the website with the traking where you could see the DHL logo, they still told me it is a Yodel.
I never found out what was true, but i rate it as a very low costumer service confusing people with a DHL website when DHL is not in charge for this delivery.

The customer service does not know what to say and exact information and the driver never turned up on the address. A purely pathetic and service from them. I would say never use them if you can.
Thanks

DHL REVIEW.
Defiantly DO NOT USE this company! They will give you one price for a shipment verbally and then send you an invoice which is usually 400% more!! It doesn't matter if you've got a contract with them or not they will TAKE YOU COURT and win! DHL is a bad bad company who relies on deception. USE THEM AT YOUR PERIL :-( my price was £65.00 for
shipment and they sent.me an invoice for over £500 ! This DHL review is an honest account of a two year legal battle......

DHL managed to run a truck over the box containing golf clubs that I had ordered. The box had tyre marks over it and when I opened the box several of the golf clubs were badly bent. I arranged for a new set to be delivered and asked DHL via their website to email me when the new parcel was being delivered. Of course they didn't do that and I am still awaiting the delivery.
DHL must have known that they had ruined the contents of the box and should have contacted the vendor.
I would advise anyone not to use this company.

i use to send a lot of work to my clients all around the world. DHL has always been very reliable; both in term of time and cost.
bad service , my parcel was not complete , 2 pcs were stolen by dhl people or custom , yet not received ,do not trust them ,fedex or ups is better
I run quite a large company and we rely on deliveries to be on time and we expect customer service from a company like this to be impeccable.
Even though DHL are owned by deutsche post, I've never known such bad service from any company. It seems like they don't care about people. If I was at the helm of this company, I’d totally restructure it as the service is the worst I've ever experienced!
If you need reliability and good service they are good but definitely not the cheapest. You get what you pay for
Ok so I got a delivery from the US through DHL, as DHL gave me the best quote for the shipment. Funnily enough when my shipment was in transit they called me to say that the payment for the goods had increase by 100% due to volumetric weight, this was something they never explained to me when I had booked the shipment in the first place.
DHL‘s Customer services was appalling over this matter, not only by increasing the price of the shipment by 100% whilst the goods were in transit but for their bulling tactic, and threats if the bill wasn’t paid.
DHL is absolute nightmares never use DHL for any shipment.
I know you might be reading this going yeah yeah yeah…. but honestly don’t use this company! if I could give the minus 5* I would!

Excellent service once again with friendly collection and delivery. Appliance collected from London late afternoon, and delivered to Central Scotland by noon the following day, at a competetive rate. One slight niggle was the lack of tracking information, but then again the collection day was a holiday, and the package was delivered extremely quickly and safely.
Ordered item from Amazon and was shipped by DHL, friendly service and fast delivery-arrived one day before expected!
Out of all of the couriers I have used I have had the most problems with these however this is probably relative to the fact I have used these the most. I think generally these are quite good but unfortunately they are let down by the odd cowboy driver.
Utterly rubbish service. There were mistakes made with my address etc. which is why the parcel was not delivered and I could accept that but there was no attempt to either take responsibility or rectify the situation. That the mistake was the fault of the company took an exhaustive amount of time to get to the bottom of, wading through a customer 'service' experience that was gobsmackingly awful; surly, rude, defensive, obstructive and economical with the truth. As a consumer I choose where to spend my money and I shall make every effort to do so with companies who use alternative delivery companies who are committed, obviously, to getting it right but, equally importantly, making it as easy as possible to deal with when things go wrong.
While I was in the house, a card was dropped at the front door, saying that they could not get access. Nobody rang the bell or knocked. I called the office several times and the next day was told that the package had been put in the wrong van. The next week, it was finally delivered.
found a yellow card note by the doorstep, where it said " we are sorry we missed you" where it stated the time 16.00 and checked in the box, my parcel was returned back to the parcel centre, where I was advised to call or to check in their Internet site to arrange for a new delivery time/address. The rest of my evening I was on the phone, trying to get through to speak to a living person with no success, after same unsuccessful attempt on their Internet site, where it said the parcel number which was left by the courier is wrong. Next morning until noon all time spent trying to get parcel depot on the phone. So I decided to go there. Not a close place from where I live. A taxi trip cost 29£ one way,50£ altogether. When the lady I spoke to at the customer service desk tried to find my parcel and took her 35 minutes before she figure out it was still with the courier's car. She apologised and took my phone number and promised she will call me to give the write number for my parcel. Also she said that the courier is on his way to deliver it to my home address, I had to rush back home, where waited for another two hours and the courier didn't show up. Two days later the parcel did not arrive, I finally got through to a customer service worker who also assured me that the parcel was on it's way and promissed to update me with the right parcel number and it never happened.
At least my parcel was delivered in a very poor condition- in a damaged box, half open.
Where do I start? Last year I ordered a mobile phone for my daughter (with her christmas money!) which was supposed to be next day delivery. It didn't arrive (cue one very disappointed daughter), but their tracking service stated they had attempted delivery at a time when three people were in the house. After a lot of listening to naff, repetitive music I eventually spoke to someone who admitted that actually the driver had just run out of time and taken our package back to the depot. As they couldn't narrow down the time of delivery for the next day, and we were unable to stay at home again all day I opted to drive to the depot and collect it myself.
This year I have found myself in a smiliar position. DHL have had my parcel for a week but it hasn't yet made it onto their delivery van. Again their tracking system shows several attempted deliveries but I have now been told that this is a result of the parcel being re-scanned every day it sits in the depot! I have found their "Customer Service" to be uninterested and unable to help. I've been told different things by every member of staff I've talked to, and was even told by the local Branch that the Service Centre in Manchester were nothing to do with them and didn't really know anything!
Shame that the compnay I ordered the phones from use DHL, I won't be using them again because of that.

In my opinion, it's typical for these big brand names to provide god awful customer service - there is a certain arrogance associated with them. I had a package that needed to come to me from around Leeds to London on a "next day" delivery and for which I had been waiting for a long tome. It's now Tuesday and not only has the package not turned up, the customer service has been absolutely terrible. The tracking is regularly out of use and in any event the last entry was on Friday. Most of the weekend, the tracking system was out of commission and that is something I have experienced before with them. I sent them an email yesterday to which I still haven't got a reply. I called them later yesterday. They don't make the phone number you have to dial very obvious - I guess that's one way of not having to deal with disappointed customers! When I called, I was held in a queue for quite a while. Then, instead of apologising to me and trying to track down my package, I was fobbed of with some reference to small print in their T&C. At no stage did I feel my issue was taken seriously or that anyone would actually try and help me. It's now Tuesday, the parcel still hasn't turned up, the tracking website is still not giving me any information and DHL still hasn't replied to my email. I have had other bad experiences with them and frankly would never use them if I could avoid them. Unfortunately, some suppliers only offer you DHL as an option.
