I built my own PC from scratch. The builder page is really well made, with incompatibilities detected and highlighted as you go. The choice of components is very good. The website was fast and worked well with no issues. It is a cross between jargon and back-of-box marketing speak so if you do opt for a self build you should do some research on what's what.
It was a nice balance. Enough emails to keep me informed, but not so many as to overload me. Emails were clearly written and I felt well informed.
I went for the 2 working day build and deliver and this was kept. I did like the part of their terms that says if they go over this, they will part refund.
The PC itself:
I went for a flashy case. It looks really really nice. The wires are neat and everything is secure with no screws missing or loose. I feel confident that this machine will last several years even with my heavy use.
All manuals and extra screws and other bits and bobs were included in the box.
I didn't do a like for like with other companies, however I feel I got good value for money considering someone else does the fiddly build, it's fully tested and it has a warranty.
One big surprise was the power draw which was a lot smaller than I expected given the components, a mere 60 watts idling, 150 watts max with an Intel i5 and geforce 660. I would advise spending more on a good power supply, specifically one with higher efficiency. It'll cost more up front but will save more on your electric bill in the long term if you're pc is on for many hours each day.
One very important plus for me was whether I would be able to open the case and add in a couple of my own hard drives. In their warranty terms it states you are able to make some upgrades without voiding the warranty. I looked at buying from three other companies and all of them said the warranty was void if I so much as opened the case.
Customer service I can't comment on because I've had no reason to contact them.
Very impressed. They might not be the best price, but I could find any better. I found them very helpful when I was trying to decide what specification I needed for a pc. I placed my order by phone and found the staff very polite, helpful and courteous. The pc was ready in one week, they had promised delivery in one to two weeks. It was dispatched over night and arrived on time. The packaging was excellent. Set up instructions were comprehensive and concise. And finally, the pc works, I have had no problems. Since I didn't have a problem I can't comment on their complaints resolution, but on the basis of my experience I would recommend Dino PC.
Everything is as they said would be. Parts are ok and I received it before I was expecting. They keep you touch with everything, any changes in your product path they tell you.
Everything arrived in good condition. I reccommend a lot
Can't argue with them they gave me the best deal around for pc, both in price and performance. You can customise your pc from the ram to the casing it comes in and it's fairly cheap compared to the current market. Anyway dino pc is the best online pc retailer i know and would continue shopping with them should i ever need to,
I cannot fault the product or the service I received.
recently got an I5 4670k GTX 660 2gb + 8gb RAM 1600 and 128gb SSD. great build quality and performance with win7 64 bit. (didnt want win8) High quality company had no issues or hassle when dealing with them (Dino PC) 10/10. Ignore the rest and go with the best ! Ive been building games PC's myself since 1997 but couldnt be bothered to build one this time, its also nice to have the whole thing under warranty. (rather then a collection of bits from 1 or more suppliers) The company have fixed profit margins on all components so you'll always get a good price. This is the first time ive bought a pre-built PC in almost 20 years, and have not a single regret. There was NO junk software installed at all. Highly recommended. you can collect from them and only pay a 50pound deposit if youre worried. As an experienced games PC builder myself, I could instantly see quality.
The PC was nicely optimised and very professionally built, easily a 10/10 score.
As an avid gamer I would recommend not getting a HDD and just getting an SSD, this machine runs great (4.1ghz) See you in Planetside2 ;) Also dont bother with water cooling and make sure your RAM is no less than 1600mhz. After flashing the BIOS and disabling services in WIN7 and tweaking TCP/IP settings etc im very happy with the performance of this modest beast. I LOVE THIS PC
Very appy with my PC and no issues so far. Only downside was the 2 week wait time with no communication. Although it's noted that this will happen, 2 weeks is a very long time too wait for something you have paid alot of money for with no updates at all. If I was to have a true great customer service experience then being part off/ kept in the loop with my pc being build would have made a great difference.
I found dino by searching the internet. I was initially a bit dubious about paying by bank transfer but it felt safer than credit card. They said it would be 2 weeks but I emailed after 2 and it was another week but apart from that. I would be happy to buy from them again and recommend them.
I have twice made purchases from Dino PC and each time there have been NO problems; the products have worked perfectly and when I had queries (due to my stupidity) they answered my queries very quickly and solved my problem. The pc I bought from frightened me, it was so fast, till I got used to it! Great company.
Great price, super speedy delivery, all arrived as ordered and in perfect condition.
I found Dino PC when looking to get a new PC. I'd had Dell computers for years but was put off by the fact I couldn't get a new PC without Windows 8 on it! With Dino PC I could upgrade/downgrade to my hearts content. I would have no hesitation recommending these guys to anyone. The PC is everything that I asked for and the follow up emails gave it that extra touch. I know I'm returning when it's time to upgrade!!
I ordered my pc and i got it exactly 2 weeks later. Everything in the box was well protected. The only problem was that if they could dispatch it earlier because it does say 1-2 weeks and it came on the very last day but i would reccomend them
I am very happy with service provided by dino PC, and the computer itself exceeds my expectations, i did had some problems related shipping but, do contacted dino pc and they replied to me very quickly and the problem was resolved overall i am very happy with their services.
Came exactly as ordered. Quiet, powerful, shiny. I actually love it. Any PC that costs sub £800 and can laugh at the new Tomb Raider game on Ultimate settings gets a thumbs up in my book. Nice welcome pack with all the Disks etc. Good service on the way too, the cooler was out of stock so they recommended another one and asked if ok to use that instead at no extra cost. Came well packed and fired up 1st time with no issues. I can only imagine what you could get if you spent the big bucks (I'll be back in a few years). Dinotastic. Luvvin it.
Arrived safely a box within a box. I ordered just a tower and was able to select a custom build, by choosing different components via the web site, allowing me to change and adjust to fit my specific budget. I already had a screen and keyboard plus speakers, with all working well when connected all together. I recommend a SSD hard drive if you can afford one as your main drive, much faster start up.
The only problem I had, was when I installed a 2nd Hard Drive "Windows 8" would not recognise it, however this turned out to be a very simple fix. In the "BIOS" there was an option set to "OTHER" operating system rather than "WINDOWS 8" . I corrected this BIOS setting and the 2nd Hard drive appeared just fine !!
Yes very pleased cheers
I have been looking at purchasing a new pc for some time now and was going to go for an apple but my penchant for PC gaming got the better of me. The build time was disappointing and did not match the information on the website - it arrived in 16 days.
Worked out of the box until I upgraded the GFX card software and my old monitor couldn't cope with the higher video output. Took me a while to work it out - I did ring the helpline but got a standard troubleshoot for computer simpletons which didn't work (probably because of the lightning fast SSD drive boot sequence. The forum is much more helpful for those with a little more tech knowledge.
Since then has been great despite the crazy Win 8 learning curve.
Overall I would recommend them.
I wanted a decent computer built to my spec at a decent discount to what Dell offers.
The people at Dino helped me spec my computer to give the performance I was seeking using better value components than I thought I needed so it cost me less than I had budgeted..
The computer worked straight out of the box . I simply had to switch it on.
The whole process was brilliant . Well done Dino PC.
I found them very helpful, the day after I placed the order I realized I'd made a mistake and telephoned & they said that's not a problem at all, what would you like to change, I explained what I'd got wrong & he changed it for me & didn't sound all sarky like some firms do when you want to change things, I would recommend them to everybody,& when my internet PC eventually dies I know who i'l be contacting , coz they do do basic stuff as well!
Bought a PC from Dino PC for a reasonable price, all have good ratings/reviews, never had so much problems with a PC than this one, blue screens all the time, blue screened 3 times on the first day of using it, even while IDLE!
Rang the support team, gave me useless information that I already knew about, they sorted it for about a week, then it started occurring again, trying to fix it myself now, no avail.
WOULD buy again, but would like them to actually TEST the pc before sending it to me.
To start off this review I should admit that I have a very good working knowledge of PC’s which any business would probably agree makes me a difficult customer to deal with on a good day as I know exactly what I want, how I want it and will not except anything less.
I ordered a reasonable gaming rig costing a little over £1600 which to all but a few lucky people out there will agree is a lot of money to part with, especially as DinoPC require payment in full. The ordering process was very easy with a friendly member of staff named Andy, due to DinoPC not being able to supply a few items I required I had to change my build a number of times which finally meant upgrading to a Cosmos 2 case (not a cheap upgrade) and to soften the blow Andy arranged a faster build for me which left me feeling less of a sting in my back pocket.
They wait began!! A week later my PC arrived a day ahead of schedule which was fantastic although problematic as I had arranged the following day off of work to be there for the delivery, the delivery company were very easy to deal with and arranged to drop it off the next day for me with no extra charge.
This is where things started to go a little wrong, once I opened the PC and started checking through all my components I started to notice some issues, the memory I ordered (and was VERY specific about) was meant to be black with silver heatsinks, the memory supplied was black with a red heatsink, now I know to some this may seem like a very small point to get annoyed about, however if you are into custom built PC’s then it is not only just about having the best components but also making sure all the components tie together to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
My next issue was the front fan making an extremely irritating noise every few seconds, unless you are watching a film or playing a game / music there is no getting away from it.
Some of the software that allowed me to manage the fan voltages was installed incorrectly which also meant I was unable to change the settings on the H100i, there was also missing software that was meant to come with the surge protector.
Lastly and most importantly there was a scratch on the back of the case, now some would say it doesn’t really matter as the scratch was by no means massive and was at the back of the case so would be out of view… In my opinion it doesn’t matter if the scratch was 5 inches long of 5mm, a scratch is a scratch and when spending over £300 just on the case you want it to be in mint condition.
So now I have listed the issues let me tell you how DinoPC went about resolving them, to me this is what really it matters – we all have to remember that mistakes can happen, things do go wrong etc. as long as you have a good team of people there to help sort them out then I am happy!! The biggest reason I chose to go to DinoPC rather than going back to my previous supplier (who had never really let me down but god did you pay for it) was because DinoPC have a very strong reputation for their level of service.
I want to start off by saying it was a little bit of a bumpy road at first as I had to deal with in 4 different technical staff before getting to someone who could give me the answers I needed, this is no fault of DinoPC it just happened to be that at first I got through to someone who is a part time member of staff, so rather than just leaving my issues until that person was working again they progressed it with someone else (proactive is always a good thing) due to the nature of my issues it was raised higher up leading me to staff member number 3 and finally passed to one of the main technicians.
Regarding the memory… They agreed that after viewing a few pics I sent in – it was definitely the wrong type so with me agreeing to pay a deposit (which I find a fair request as they need to cover their costs if I was to try and keep both) I have had the correct RAM sent. Happy days!
The software issues on the H100i just involved me having to reinstall they software, easily done and not an issue. The missing software has been sent to me free of charge. Problem solved!
The front fan has been replaced and is working fine, all covered under warranty. Again problem solved.
Lastly the scratch… This was my real issue as the case needs to look perfect in my opinion, to expect DinoPC to have to arrange collection of my computer in order to either transfer my build into a new replacement case or try to source a replacement panel and then foot the shipping costs back to me was an option offered to me, one I could live with but honestly who would want to part with their new computer for over a week after only having it a few weeks? So they fired a second option at me.. to say sorry for all the issues I had experienced they were willing to offer me compensation of a free game of my choice and taking into account the cost of some games these days I found to be a generous offer, however I have all the games I need so it was of no real interest to me. I was however planning to buy a couple of Noctua 120mm silent fans to replace the H100i radiator fans (I personally find them noisy and they are only 3 pin connections so cannot have their speed changed using the front fan controller) so I asked if they could send me them instead of the game, this was agreed and along came my fans all in a quick timeframe. Once again Happy Days!!!!
I have dealt with companies in the past that would drag a situation like this on for months leaving you feeling stressed, ripped off and like you have been taken for a ride. Albeit my build had issues, DinoPC listened to me, progressed my problems and came up with solutions that left me feeling like my custom mattered to them which even included a phone call just to say thank you for my patients which I thought was a nice touch.
All in all I am very happy with the build and the level of service, things could have been handled a little faster but as I stated when I started this review, they were proactive enough not to leave my email sitting in the inbox for days on end until the part time member of staff finally got back.
If you are looking for a high quality build with a good level of service at prices you really will find hard to beat unless you buy the components and do the build yourself you really will struggle to beat DinoPC.
Went for Dino PC given the great reviews and excellent prices- buying a new PC on line can be a nervous experience but the savings are worth it. Overall the hardware is great, but the experience was bad and the customer service inconvenient.
Ordered the PC and received immediate confirmation of delivery usually 7 days. I got impatient on day 8 having heard nothing and emailed for an update only to be told PC would arrive the next day.
PC arrived - plugged in and up and running - well almost - Windows 8 was not installed properly and needed to be reinstalled (This is not something I should have to do)
Had consistent problems booting up but the customer service is only available 9-5 Mon to Friday (seeing as I work on these days and the PC is at home - this was very inconvenient) - but as the PC worked typically after 3 reboots just got on with it.
Two weeks in I had enough and spent much time reinstalling Windows 8, checking the errors on various forums and eventually discovered the error was compatibility issues with the USB 3 ports - this is not uncommon on Windows 8. I have now disabled these and resorted to USB 2 ports - Needless to say the PC is now running really well. (BUT again this is an issue I should not have to deal with and should have been checked before dispatch)
Overall - excellent price of kit for the price. Insufficient customer service. Very disappointed with the set up and checking prior to despatch. I would NOT recommend to anyone who feels they are not capable of solving their own PC issues - otherwise go for it
Order placed (easy to do) and the equipment turned up and we have had no problems since. Slight furstration that it took the maximum stated time to be dispatched but it did say it could take that long. Some update from Dino during the build process would have been helpful
I was recommended Dino PC and I am extremely glad I was. I purchased two PC's for the office and the whole end to end process was painless and I feel we received excellent value for our money.
I will be buying from Dino PC again and would recommend it to ours.
My machine was -
Seismo Intel G2030 with added Internal Card Reader £7.99
The machine is fast and effective, worked immediately and is most excellent value.
My only criticisms are really my own fault - it's a little noisy (could have upgraded the PS), didn't like my legacy Soundblaster Audigy (check the specs dummy) and needed a particular power lead for my video card (easily found, £2.99). Overall - very very happy! When I order again I will pay for premium delivery as I was gnawing my own feet off with impatience!
Thanks to DinoPC

My previous computer was 10 years old, and to put it mildly was struggling! Iam definately not computer savvy,but can get by. I choose dino pc because they seemed to offer easy to understand build sheets and latest components for my budget. Delivery was a couple of days late but this was not a problem for me, when it was delivered it was well packed. It has worked perfectly since assembly 2-9-13 ,and I am very pleased with the system. One snag I did encounter was that it did not come with software to run the blu-ray player, but found this on internet. this is the spec I had;

I was delighted by the speedy and professional way in which Dinopc.com dealt with my order and any questions I asked them to answer, I also Thought the
gentleman who talked me through the problems I had,Which were all my fault!,was superb and the best info I have ever received.
The machine is working perfectly and I am very pleased with it.
i was recommended by a friend who had a great experience with dino pc, so i thought i'd try it out. very very happy with my purchase! everything perfect, even the delivery and packaging. needed some advice from dino pc about the pc so i called customer service and the man i spoke to was extremely helpful. will be buying from dino pc again in future.
The pc arrived in prefect condition and was within the 2 weeks. The pc was built and installed with software so there was no setup needed for me to do. Dino pc have a fantastic customer service and will answer any questions and helped me with mine and got back to me within 15 minutes. Overall 5 out of 5! Great for the price!
The PC I ordered is flawless; no damage, no weird software bugs and no strange hardware malfunctions. What contact I have had with customer service was brief but exactly what I wanted: polite and to the point.
I would prefer to give this review an initial 4 star and if the PC is still running smoothly in a year I would like to update it to a 5 star. As it is I will likely forget, but who knows, if I do remember, I will see if I can post an updated review.
