My policy has been automatically renewed against my wishes sending me over my overdraft limit and Direct Line are charging me £47.70 for cancelling a policy that I didn't want on a car that I already have insured elsewhere.
During a frustrating telephone conversation I was informed that Direct Line do not communicate by email at all and everything has to be done by post. This is crazy!
Go to one of the comparison sites and DO NOT got direct to Direct Line.
I paid for insurance cover on my house and chose to pay for better cover as i though i would be getting a professional service from what i first considered to be a reputable and professional company. However the service i received, once i needed it did not reflect the price i was paying. The decision made by the insurance company is not my problem it is the way they handled the claim and the so called professional they sent to assess the problem, extremely bad service from a company who i had previously considered to be a trustworthy and professional insurer will never use again.
