Totally unacceptable, I am still waiting on delivery of my sunglasses. Told a load of rubbish about stock issues and now the site is down with an email address that doesn't work.
These guys should be in jail.
PS- I have been waiting over 6-months!!!!
Same as others - ordered glasses, received all legit looking personally typed emails saying they were awaiting stock. 3 weeks later I said they must cancel. They agreed, said Acc's dept would refund me.. Never happened. Am out of pocket and and sunglasses.
Ive just had the same experience as countless others.
Order product - wait a week or so - chase order, told product will not be in stock for 2-3 weeks.
Decide to cancel order - wait a week or so for refund, chase refund. Told that 'according to terms and conditions' they have 30 days to process a refund.
Wait 30 days, still no refund

I wouldn't even give this company 1 star!! Working in retail myself I am fully aware of how customer service should work, right the way through from before purchase to dealing with complaints. This company does not!!
I ordered some sunglasses online for a Christmas gift. This was their first mistake. As they didn't have any in stock they should not have accepted my order and, worse still, take full payment from my PayPal account. After 10 days and no product, I called to them discover that they didn't have any in stock and were waiting for a delivery "tomorrow" from their suppliers so if I called back tomorrow then I would know when it would be dispatched. I did exactly that and they agreed to let me cancel my order and get a full refund because they didn't know when their suppliers would deliver next and so I wouldn't get it in time for Christmas.
This was 16th Dec and I'm still waiting for my refund. I was told they had a 30 day policy so I would receive the funds on or before 16th Jan. after one week later and still no refund, I chased it again and their excuse this time was a mishap by the accounts department and I would have my refund by the end of this week. Still nothing!!
I have taken this up with PayPal and am glad I payed through them. I'm hoping they will assist me from here because I'm getting nowhere with the company.
Would love to know if any of those with the same problem as me actually ever got their money back or not.
Placed an order on 10 November. They advertised the product as in stock, after two weeks from the date of order they informed that in stock means quoting: '3-5 days dispatch’ means that the item is with our supplier’s' which unless I am really stupid ins't clear!
After waiting 15 days there was still no updates on the order which was very frustrating as it was a present. Decided to cancel the order and they informed it would take 10 days. 15 Days later they say will take 30 days. Glad that I used paypal as I am going to claim it back from them.
Like so many other people who have written reviews on here, I ordered some raybans which never arrived. When I contacted the company they said they were out of stock but they were expecting a delivery soon. I waited and still nothing. Eventually I cancelled the order as I was going on holiday. I asked for refund which I was told would take 10 days, then 30 days. I ordered my glasses on the 30th of August and still have no refund.
This company is a scam. Do not use them!!!
I ordered some Animal sunglasses on 24th July. After 10 days, as they had not arrived I rang them. I was told it would be 10 working days. This came and went, still no sunglasses. I rang them again, only to be told the item would not be available until September. As this would be after my holiday, I cancelled the order and bought them elsewhere.
At no stage did the company contact me to inform me the item was out of stock and the website still stated the item was in stock!
As of 7th October, I am still waiting to get my money back.
Avoid this company like the plague
Problem with the Royal Mail delaying delivery (package was sat around in a sorting office!) - after a call to customer services they spoke to RM - who located the package and 48 hours later everything arrived safe and sound.

I purchased a pair of sunglasses (over £120!) about a month ago. I emailed within the first week to ask where they were and got a rather snooty email back stating that it can take 3-5 working days to come into stock 'and I should have read that before I ordered'. Of course, the 3-5 days pass. Phone calls are made, emails are sent and as the weeks pass, nothing arrives. They just say 'we're having trouble with our supplier and we'll email you when we send your item out'.
Learn not just from my mistake, but also from all the other one star comments listed here! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
ADDITION: The sunglasses never arrived. I waited months. Now I've asked for a refund and I get polite emails saying it's on it's way. Been nearly two weeks now and no refund. Remember, this order was placed at the beginning of August and it's now October! You can only call it theft.
I ordered some Oakleys from them and the price was good and delivery very fast (with good communications too). So my experience was great from this perspective. However, the Oakleys themselves seem to have a different lens in them to my last identical pair (which were stolen recently) so I am not sure what is going on given then model number is the same. Perhaps they should display information about the lens aswell as the frame?
Never mind I should have probably check this before ordering so their performance has been good.
I have had the same experience as many people here - goods out of stock, long delay, refund over due, refund never arriving ... the company present a credible front - reply to e mails etc, but take your money and dont give a refund if they can't complete transaction. They obviously hope customers just give up and put it down to experience.
I wanted original stylish hard case for my Smith Super Method sunglasses. I discovered this item here and just decided bought it. I was surprised how fast i can put my sunglasses into new protective case. I'm definetly satisfy with this purchase.

I ordered a pair of sunglasses.
The sunglasses turned out not to be in stock. I then asked for a refund. They iterated the refund, so they said. However, i did not receive the refund.
I contacted them, and they said, that it can take 7-10 days.
After 10 days i contacted them again and now they said, that it can take 30 days.
After 30 days, i contacted them again, and now they said, that they reiterated it to their bookkeeping.
At this point i get suspicious and then i googled the company. What i see kinda gave me a shock. I look through all of these reviews of the company and the result is stunning. Customer after customer is getting the same treatment. The company just don't refund the money and acts like they are sorry and then giving the customer some kind of hope. However, in many many cases the company don't refund. It feels like fraud. No doubt about it...
The question is...i wonder how long this company can keep on doing this...
As of my own case, i had to make a report with my banks fraud management service and only by doing this i finally got they money back.
i can only suggest that you do NOT get involved with Directsunglasses.
I was a bit concerned buying a pair of Oakley straight jacket from this company seeing all the 1 star reviews here.
Ordered Monday night and as it wasn't in stock and it said 3-5 day dispatch, I didn't expect the glasses any time soon. Gotta a e-mail Wednesday with tracking number and received the glasses to day, Friday, pretty fast considering I live in Denmark.
Seeing the negative reviews in here, I wrote them tuesday night already asking how the order was going, got the reply friday, right after the sunglasses ;), so a bit slow there.
The sunglasses were £8 cheaper than any where else in UK and £50 cheaper than Danish sellers.
Don't buy from these people. I went through months of pain arguing, writing emails etc, their customer service is terrible and it seems their refunds department is permanently on holiday. Or maybe they just don't have one.
Awful shopping experience from start to finish. The prices may look good but it's really not worth the hassle.
I'm an internet seller and I know that people usually give review when they are dissatisfied with service and don't bother when everything is OK. Direct Sunglasses flagged up a problem with my online order - I'd managed to pay twice - my fault, wifi cutting out, phoned me and sorted it out. the colour of sunglasses I wanted weren't in stock and they asked me if I could wait a couple of days. I said I would. My sunglasses arrived in a couple of days.
I ordered a pair of Mui Mui over the phone. they didn't have the ones I wanted in stock but offered me a really good alternative with no quibbles if they didn't suit. They arrived the next day and were better than the ones I thought I wanted.
After almost 4 months, I have neither received the sunglasses I ordered, nor the refund they told me two weeks ago they would send. Their customer service is the worst, emails not being answered, whenever I called, I got promises that were never kept. This seems more like a fraud then a legitimate business to me.
I live in France and placed my order by phone with the helpful staff who gave me the advice I needed and two days later my sunglasses arrived by special delivery. they were cheaper than I could get anywhere else online and certainly cheaper than I could buy in France.
Placed an order in june 2010 and still waiting. After submitting the order, they charged my creditcard almost immediatelly and in the email promised to deliver the item in 3 to 5 working days. After two weeks of waiting, I opened my account and there was an information that the item that I ordered was out of stock. So, I asked, when I should receive this item, and they promised again to deliver this item in 3 to 5 working days. After additional 4 weeks of waiting, I still have not received the item and I have give up the hope of ever receiving these. Last two weeks I have tried to get the refund, but I have pretty much give up the hope. Please, do not order anything from them. There is a good change, that you never get that item or the refund. If you think that my issue is somehow unique, please find the similiar post from here and others review sites.

I placed an order with this company via Martin. After waiting for at least a week I contacted him to find that two of the three items I requested were out of stock. The order was cancelled and no items dispatched. However, after this company decided to take the full amount from my credit card (for goods never ordered or dispatched). When I requested a refund they had the audacity to inform me that the law allowed 30 days for them to make the refund. No refund has yet been made and the 30 days have gone!!!! WHAT AN OUTFIT - NOT TO BE TRUSTED!!
I was attracted to the site because of the low prices, and to be honest I expected pretty poor service, but they have a great team who helped me choose a pair of sunglasses and I could call at any time if I had any further questions. Delivery was first class recorded and completely free.
This is my second purchase at Direct sunglasses and received the same excellent service. First the model I needed is not available anywhere but here, on top of that for very competitve price. Shipping was international but it just took a few days. I f you deal with Directsunglasses you can expect smooth transaction for sure. Buy with confidence.
I purchased Serengeti eye wear at a good price and received them next day by registered post. I subsequently had a problem with the product and it was exchanged, no quibble, by return post. Just as good as it gets! Thank you.
