Top banana! I really like my new kitchen and so do all my mates, as much as they would hate to admit it:-)
I spend most of my time in the kitchen so I spent plenty of time planning it and making sure everything was well situated like cutlery draws near the hob, pots and pans underneath it and moved the oven into a tall unit so that the oven is now at waist level. Makes life so much easier taking stuff out of it and I no longer need to bend down to see if what I'm cooking actually looks cooked.
On the whole I'm really impressed with my kitchen and the service that I got, if you have a recommend a friend scheme then I have a few mates that I can point in your direction.
Kitchen units are excellent quality at good prices, but remember when ordering they add on delivery, vat, and even extra for drilling door hinges.
Two items were received damaged and unusable, I failed to spot worktop damage until I unpacked it for the install four weeks later. The company refused point blank to refund anything, so I am down the cost of 4 metres of worktop.
If you buy from here, unpack everything and inspect on receipt or next day, it is a pain but could save you lots.
Before discovering DIY Kitchens I didn't think that it was possible to do-it-yourself, especially as I had no experience of designing or buying a kitchen. After visiting several well-known kitchen retailers and independent stores, I found my dream kitchen. Luckily, as a last minute thought, I searched online for the brand of kitchen and located it on DIY Kitchens website. The kitchen is Cornell bespoke Painted, and DIY Kitchens was able to supply the kitchen for substantially less (over £1000 difference) than the lowest quote that I had received. I was a little apprehensive about ordering the cabinets for fear of getting it wrong, but DIY Kitchens customer services were so helpful, and they checked my order before processing it and taking my money. Everything arrived on time and in perfect condition, and I was really impressed with the bespoke painting – the colour is gorgeous! I also bought the drawer and cabinet handles from DIY Kitchens, and they were again much cheaper than everywhere else, and they are great quality. I have recommended DIY Kitchens to all of my friends and family and we will definitely go to them next time we need a new kitchen!
We love our new kitchen, it looks really sleek and we get so many positive comments from people who walk into it for the first time. Everybody thinks it looks great!
From start to finish, the process with DIY kitchens was really smooth, we found the website easy to use and also all the staff at DIY were very helpful. They checked our order, making sure everything was exactly right, and when we wanted to add a couple of things to our order (side panels), that was no problem at all. Everything arrived when it should have and as it should have, nothing missing and we loved the touch of including a box of teabags and some biscuits, a really lovely idea! We have recommended DIY kitchens to all our friends and family and would not hesitate to use you again if ever we need to do another kitchen!
This kitchen was one of the cheaper kitchens on offer. It has proved to be faultless, From customer service to planning, fittings, worktops and units.
We compared all the market leaders and they could not compete. You have to remember the time and money saved with buying rigid units. It saved 2 days labour by the joiner and the whole (large) kitchen had water in the taps and food on the cooker after 1 and a half days.
We have just finished the install of our new kitchen, the quality and the service was fantastic. I would have no issue with recommending DIY kitchens to any of my friends or people I meet in my line of business.
Ordered my kitchen last month and have just got around to getting it fitted. I ordered Avant Ebony as I really liked the way that the top cupboards opened upwards. As my kitchen is a small galley shape, I don't have much space so these were ideal and look really good with the glass fronts on them. I never forget where I put things now as I can see what is in the cupboards without even opening them.
I thank you for your help in helping me with my choice and thank the delivery men for putting the units into a spare room next to the kitchen as I could not get a fitter for 3 weeks
Overall impression of the kitchen:
Very good quality and amazing value. I estimate we saved around half the cost of comparable kitchens units and doors from Benchmarx, Howdens and Magnet. The second nature doors are of excellent quality and all drawers and corner units feel solid and very well built.
Installation, did the fitter find it easy?
We hired a general builder to fit the kitchen and he didn't have many problems. There were a few small things that he found a bit different but nothing difficult. Mainly it was our walls that caused the problem!
Quality of fittings
As said previously all excellent. The builder was very impressed with build of the cabinets and the solid backs. He thought they were at least as good if not better than Howdens who he'd used heavily in his career and rated highly. He was shocked at how reasonably priced they were given the quality. He thought they'd last us at least 20 years.
We did an awful lot of time searching on the internet and comparing kitchens. We also went to look at kitchens in b&q, Howdens, Benchmarx, homebase and magnet. The reviews for Diy kitchens were excellent so we ordered some sample doors, were impressed and ordered the kitchen. We're pleased we did. We saved thousands and in our eyes the quality we've got far exceeds the quotes we were given from places like Howdens. The doors in particular are far superior and cheaper.
None of the quotes for the units came close from any of the providers mentioned before, even with their "40% off" sale prices. The closest comparable priced kitchen we found was from Ikea which was roughly equal but all flat pack.
We would highly recommend DIY Kitchens. I can see no reason at all to go with anyone else.
I heard about you through a friend who had fitted his own kitchen that was supplied by you.
I received my kitchen exactly as specified, at the agreed time. Everyone was very helpful, right from going into the showroom, being given assistance with placing the order, and even the lads who delivered it.
The kitchen units are first class quality, I fitted them myself, it was very straight forward. The hanging brackets for the wall units makes fitting them easy.
I got my Worktops through you. Everyone has commented on how nice they look. Again, the people came and profiled the Worktops at the agreed time, and the fitting service was very professional.
Overall I found the all experience to be good.
Thank you DIY Kitchens for a really lovely kitchen. The oak effect I chose really works well in my home and all the cupboards open and close so quietly! I'm an avid cook and the spice draws that were recommended inside the dresser unit really are a godsend.
When i was looking at the appliances, I was not sure if a shiny oven would look right though with all that wood effect, but I was wrong and it blends in well. My 8 year old dog Tiggles still growls at himself when he sees his reflection in the oven door as he walks by it, but I think he's still getting used to it as the other kitchen had been there since he was a pup. Thank you once again, you have made an old woman really happy.
I just want to say that at the start I was a little nervous about buying a kitchen online but after visiting the showroom and factory I had no doubt that I would get exactly what I paid for. The whole process from ordering to getting my cool new kitchen made was seamless and I like the fact that my kitchen was built by hand to my requirements and made in the UK. Not imported in flat packs from a warehouse.
Now my new kitchen is installed I feel compelled to keep cleaning it lol I may need to find a kitchen gadget that can automatically do that for me whilst I'm at work.

We arranged a visit to the factory and showroom before purchase which was very worth while. Ordering on the website could not be easier, and a follow up call from the sales office makes sure nothing is missing or misunderstood on the order.
We are very pleased with the finished look and practicality of the kitchen units. The quality of the units themselves, the doors and the fittings is every bit as good as much more expensive kitchen suppliers.
The oak worktops are very good, but be prepared with a team of helpers on delivery day - they are incredibly heavy and it's a one man delivery!
Delivery lead time was exceptionally quick and communication regarding the day and time of delivery was excellent.
I did my own installation and found their response to a couple of minor issues both fast and comprehensive. The pre-assembled units save a huge amount of time, and the ability to request 'dry' assembled units make it easy to make modifications where required, and to get our corner unit through the door into the house.
It was the only supplier we could find that offered a quality comprehensive solution at a sensible price.
We were pleasantly surprised with the website which had an excellent choice of kitchens and made it very easy to design and order the units and doors required. The units themselves are very high quality and good value, as are the fixtures and fittings and appliances. The telephone support pre and post sales was excellent and a damaged door was promptly replaced. Installation was relatively straight forward due to the comprehensive instructions enclosed and the video tutorials were also particularly useful.
The diy-kitchens team were actually really helpful, not just focused on a sale. They made suggestions to help the design and to ensure it fitted in the space. Responded to queries, made sure any post delivery issues (just 2) were sorted out immediately.
The units themselves were really good quality, all pre-assembled, and the finish and look were excellent. 9 months in, all the units work really well - so no problems to date.
For the quality and finish, we could have easily paid a third to half as much again.
Would I recommend them...........yes
This kitchen outshines any kitchen I've ever had in the past, I designed the kitchen and ordering was easy, with the web site and choice of products second to none, any questions I had were answered by knowledgeable and helpful. Most importantly my kitchen arrived on time and complete!, nothing was missing. My fitters found fitting my kitchen was a pleasure to fit as the quality of fittings and the units were the best they had seen. I found DIY-kitchens via a google search and I am so pleased I did - I am a very satisfied customer.
Very pleased with the kitchen quality, came pre-build and the delivery was straight forward with very helpful staff. I'd recommend visiting the guys at their factory outlet to see the range on offer and make those last minute updates to make sure you get the best possible kitchen. Overall an excellent experience, and very competitively priced.
The quality really stands out, from the robust base units, the sturdy wall units, and the doors/handles all shout quality. Every one who visits our home always comments on the kitchen.
We bought everything except the worktop from DIY Kitchens (inc. Bosch Induction Hob, extractor, cooker, steamer, microwave, wine cooler, filter tap). They met or bet the quotes I'd already got and it made it so much simpler in the end.
I bought the Corian worktops through another company (Arlington Direct http://www.worksurfacesdirect.co.uk/) and they were excellent and very competitive as well, and would recommend them as well.
I used a local fitter and he did a great job. This was the first kitchen he'd fitted that had been supplied by DIY Kitchens, and he's been so impressed he's recommended it to others, and also buying one for himself.
I purchased through word of mouth as a friend bought a kitchen from DIY Kitchens and sang your praises.
Although all my local kitchen companies state they won't be beaten on price or quality none of them could beat the price, and the quality really speaks for itself. Best decision I've ever made!
Thank you DIY Kitchens!
We visited the showroom after having a recommendation from a friend. The setup was amazing and we could see exactly how each style looked and the simple pricing system made totting up the budget straight forward.
Having looked at many suppliers we went with DIY Kitchens; the quality, sturdiness, extensive range, customisation and excellent price were the best we could find.
The kitchen ordering process was easy to follow and the delivery was on schedule and without issue.
Our kitchen fitter had little problem installing the units, which come fully assembled (apart from the legs) and are well protected in ample packaging.
We now have a wonderful kitchen from the Cornell range which is custom painted in two different contrasting colours.
DIY Kitchens have given us a room to be proud of and which we love to show off to friends and family.
We really do have a kitchen which is the heart of our home.
Our new kitchen is now installed and it looks excellent.
The quality of the units and doors is first rate and is probably better than many more expensive suppliers. Providing you are able to plan your own kitchen, which is not that difficult if you take a bit of time, the diy-kitchen option must be the best option you can take.
I know there were a few hiccups with the work tops and handles but in the end everything was fully resolved within the timescale of the fitter being on site.
I can highly recommend your company and would be very happy if you were to include my comments in your testimonials. If you want some pictures of the finished kitchen I would be more than happy to oblige.
Of course the most important thing is how happy is my wife with her new kitchen. She loves it. Plenty of space to store everything and all of the pull out units make access so much easier.
It was good doing business with you.
With 3 kids to look after I needed to ensure I got a kitchen with lots of storage space as each of the kids has to have their own cupboard for sweets and there food otherwise war breaks out.
As I've got a big kitchen and lots of space to fill, it was not a problem choosing the units from your vast selection. I have quite a few wide units on the base and they are all finished in a white gloss effect. I was warned against having white gloss as I have kids that will leave mucky finger prints everywhere but as they own a cupboard they clean it too.
My work surfaces also look great, I opted for black laminate which really makes make kitchen stand out with the white cupboards. They are really well made and the attention to detail is second to none.
Overall i'm very impressed and your service was near on perfect and I would recommend you to anyone.
Bonjour, the heatwave looks like it might have come to an end but my new kitchen is still looking radiant! I opted for a white high gloss kitchen that has the handles built into the doors so there is nothing sticking out to catch my clothes on, one of the biggest annoyances of my last kitchen that was.
My kitchen looks great and all the advise I got from them before I ordered gave me some ideas I never even thought about - like those nifty corner cupboards where shelves come out to you rather than you breaking a rib trying to get in it!
I am very pleased with my kitchen and for the price I paid and the quality of the cupboards that I got, I would of been mad to listen to my neighbour who paid loads more from down the retail park for the same thing hehe x
Morning, just having a cup of tea in my new glossy kitchen whilst look out of the window as the sun tries to seep through.
Here is my review. The units are great, fit together well (and came pre made). The doors are solid and close so quietly, it must be those special hinges, should keep the kids from trapping their fingers as they have a few seconds to pull them out, anyway they should stop playing in my new kitchen!
The people at DIY Kitchens were friendly and helpful, i had a bit of a wait on the phone when I rang them to adjust an order but it was during an offer time and they were very busy, so I'll let them off with that one. Star rating wise, been trying to work this one out in my head, I came to a figure of 4.7 out of 5 but as i can't give you that I'll round it up to a 5.
I have used diy on numerous occasions for my work for landlords and homeowners and architects. The last order was as always of exemplorary products of the highest quality, the only draw back, which made the project go over budget, was that the order came in various deliveries that was not clarified before so we could delay trades: carrasses without doors, worktops separate, appliances separate, end panels and corner posts separate again. It meant sadly we had builders on site with no kitchen to install. A simple clarification on deliveries would have enabled us to reprogramme, but in all honesty it was very haphazard and promised deadlines were not met.
Thankfully the courteous and empathetic staff at diy offered a refund of £500 to be paid on 50% on receipt of real kitchen worthy photos and 50% on order of a new full kitchen.
I have since installed 5 kitchens going elsewhere but may go back to them to see if their supplier relations have improved as they have great customer care, great ranges and an easy website. A 3d programme on the site would help greatly for those that aren't designers or builders.
After some careful research I opted for a diy-kitchen product. As an engineer, I was hooked when I saw the video of the diy-kitchen production processes and then the quality of the door samples I obtained. This is a professional looking outfit and the installed kitchen supports that belief entirely. I had a professional kitchen fitter of many years experience who was as pleased with the end result as I was. He was also very happy with the ease of fitting.
A top product at a very fair price says it all really! I have no hesitation in recommending this supplier for serious consideration by any-one looking for a new kitchen
Janet and David from Diss, Suffolk
We wanted a traditional kitchen to compliment our barn conversion and the Buttermilk Ivory units looked absolutely perfect for the job. This was confirmed by the samples you sent out promptly and backed up with helpful information when we phoned for advice. Your units are excellent value for money and look as good as units costing far far more. We are totally satisfied with your product.
The fitter we used was very impressed with the outstanding quality of the units, which we agree far exceeds the build quality of many other well known makes. Plus the added benefit of being able to choose to have the units delivered pre-built, thus allowing the whole installation process to be carried out extremely quickly and efficiently.
The quality of the fittings is second to none. Cupboards and drawers close quietly and gently and the various additional features add a touch of class to any kitchen.
Our fitter recommended that we look at your 'easy to use' website and we were very impressed with just how easy it was to navigate through all the invaluable information therein. Definately a big plus for most people.
After looking for hours on the internet for a cost effective way of keeping our puppies at bay, argos etc. I came to the conclusion that i would nip down wicks and knock together a small puppy pen myself. The little angels are kept in the kitchen most of the time now as they are only 3 weeks old and i had an idea to build a small puppy pen out of kitchen plinth as it is just the right size to keep the puppies in but still leave mum free to go in and out of the pen freely. I googled kitchen plinth and came across the DIY Kitchens website and the plinth was very cheap indead. I was local so i emailed the company to ask if i could pick it up (to save delivery cost) and spoke to the sales manager Matthew Ellis. After explaining what i needed it for he told me that there was 'no way' that he was going to charge me for the £14 plinth and he would even get it cut to size and deliver it for me FOC as i was local (27 miles local - on the condition that i sent him a picture of one of the pups for his daughter). It arrived today and even though i have thanked him personally I felt the need to post this. Family businesses are a dying breed and i'm so glad that some companies out there still answer the phone and even go out of their way to help you.
My kitchen was delivered a few weeks ago and I've wasted no time in getting me fitter out to do the hard work of making it fit into my gutted room.
My fitter spent a week fitting the kitchen, getting the tiling and worktops sorted and slotting the appliances in. It now looks well cool and the kitchen would not look out of place in a showroom.
I definitely would recommend before you get a kitchen installed to completely gut the room, tidy up any plaster work and give it 1 coat of white paint. Once the kitchen was fitted, it was so much easier painting the visible bits and I got really clean edges and managed to have paint behind the radiator for once without having to almost break my arm trying to get my arm behind it.
Overall I could not be happier, from ordering to delivery and getting the thing installed, it was a breeze.
Ordered my dream kitchen 6 weeks ago and now it's all fitted and looks just like I planned it. My old kitchen made me depressed every time I walked into it but now it's my favorite room, much to the delight of my wife as she gets her dinner cooked every day, but that'll change soon:-)
We both fitted the kitchen with a little help from a friend and we also used some of the videos on the website. The quality of the units is absolutely great. I just bought a set of draws for a nursery and they are shocking made, I only wish DIY Kitchens made nursery furniture too!
Overall I'm very impressed with the service and the goods that I received although one of my kitchens units was delivered damaged, but this was down to the delivery driver dropping it, so I can't blame DIY Kitchens for that. I would order from you again and gave you 4/5, very close to a five but my standards are exceptionally high, i.e I never give a 5 out lol.
3 letters, wow! After spending weeks looking around showrooms and not liking the price that I was getting, one Friday evening I went online to see if I could price up the kitchen any cheaper. And guess what? I did just that!
I found DIY Kitchens in google and had a quick look around. It soon turned into a whole evening at the PC and managed to price up a nice shaker kitchen for almost 2 grand less than other quotes that I had been given.
The units arrived about 3 weeks after I ordered them and my kitchen fitter got the whole thing installed in a few days. I had to wait for my granite to be delivered from elsewhere but within a week everything was looking amazing! I'm really happy and so glad I took the time to look around
My kitchen from DIY Kitchens as quoted by my fitter was a pleasure to install as all the units come assembled and are very sturdy.I'm just looking into some lighting now as the glossy doors with work very well with them.
The lady on the phone who I spoke to was very helpful as I had stood on and broke a piece of plinth by mistake before it was fitted under the cabinets the lady managed to get a new piece ordered and delivered next day which was brilliant.
My mother has seen my new kitchen and now she wants one so I'll be pointing her in your direction. Be careful - she is a kitchen novice and may need some help ;)
We are highly delighted with the result of our broadoak alabaster/broadoak natural kitchen. It was a complex purchase as we were part renovating existing units and putting new units in. We further complicated the process by changing things halfway through the order. Despite this the helpful sales team persisted and rapidly corrected our order. We are over the moon with the final result.
We virtually finished the kitchen quite a few weeks ago. We are really delighted with it, great quality cabinets and doors, the best and widest choice of cabinet combinations bar none and good value too.
Post-sales support regarding ordered items was great so many, many thanks for all of your assistance.
We toured round the customer reviews section of your website in the past to assist in our decision making, so we’d like to add ours and perhaps it’ll help inspire others.
We’d thoroughly recommend DIY-Kitchens!
After a friendly pre-sales service, and seeing the quality of the units I was pleased, however I am exasperated at the truly terrible service received after sales. I was sent the wrong unit (an error by diy-kitchens) and after more than 1 month I'm still trying to get it resolved. I've sent numerous emails which have been ignored, or answered without being properly read, phoned up and been laughed at down the phone when I've tried to get a resolution, and weeks go by between responses, I have requested to escalate the complaint, that has also been ignored.
In addition to the problem with the incorrect units being delivered I also had to chase for weeks to get the promised refund for the door samples.
Overall I'm disgusted that after spending so much money, I am treated in such an appalling way. It's completely changed my opinion of the company and I wouldn't want others to be affected in this way.
1 month after we should have had our kitchen installed we are still waiting for a replacement - and in the meantime we have not been able to complete work in our home- costing additional money and time to get the kitchen fitters back and in the meantime have had a bucket for a sink until it's resolved.

After a serious water leak in my house I needed a new kitchen.
My builder wanted to install a Howdens kitchen. After seeing a few Howdens samples I wasn't 100% sure of the quality and a few cabinets I wanted were not available.
That's when I started looking around and came across diy-kitchens. I visited there Showroom & Factory even though it was a couple of hours drive. I have to say it was well worth the visit and I would highly recommend it. The showroom is amazing, with lots of displays and door samples available. The staff were very helpful and answered all of my questions. After seeing the kitchens in the flesh and comparing prices I was convinced diy-kitchens were the best option.
I placed my order online and my kitchen arrived 2 weeks later! My builder couldn't believe the quality of the units when they arrived and how easy they were to fit. All of the doors, drawers and accessories were already fitted in the units. He even said he might use them in the future.
My kitchen is almost finished. I've ran out of time to do things my self so I've got a carpenter coming in to fit the plinths and the fill in bits down the edges of the units. Then it's only a few small jobs.
The project was quite adventurous for a DIYer, we removed the old kitchen and flooring, remove a wall between the Kitchen and dining room (inserting steel RSJ), new electrics, plastered, fit kitchen, tile floor (with underfloor heating). I had a pro in for the electrics, plastering and building work as that had to be signed off for building control, but other than that all my own work.
I love the kitchen units and even though the kitchen is only ¾ built, it already looks amazing.
Been in the trade 25 years buying kitchens and fitting em and never really been overly impressed with the quality to price ratio ... always been high price for decent stuff and budget kitchens at the lower quality . howdens was more my choice due to ease of stock always at hand but the white carcass and plant on decor panels always did my nut in......been using diy now and for the cost i cant think of anyone to compete on quality, lots of ranges to choose from and solid built totally fitter friendly cabinets.all colour coded ... everything well wrapped on delivery so damage kept to the absolute minimum... ill keep buying .........Mark mallinder proffessional kitchen fitter/ bathroom installer.... 07764994734
I had always wanted a high gloss kitchen to replace my existing shaker (falling to bits) one. I spent a month looking around and happened to find diy kitchens whilst randomly search for ideas in google.
I managed to price up a whole Avant kitchen on their website and was very surprised how much I was going to save, based on some other quotes that I had been given.
I decided to take the plunge and placed my order. The order was delivered 3 weeks later on the date that I specified and I was very impressed with how the units looked! I was even more impressed with the final thing once my kitchen fitter had fitted it for me, even he was impressed with his work lol:-)
I would definitely recommend them and if i move house then I know where my new kitchen would be coming from.
My only feedback for the company is to get some form of kitchen planner on the website to make it easier to visualise the amount of units needed, but I got by none the less and the guys on the phone gave me a few well needed pointers.
Right from the start DIY Kitchens were a cut above the rest. I was able to send my idea scraps and measurements to the sales team and they managed to help me put an order together over the phone to build my perfect kitchen. Every little detail was focused on.
I had previously got quotes for my kitchen from companies in the region of £8,500 - the kitchen I ended up with from DIY Kitchens was in my opinion of much higher quality and saved me a lot of money, it cost me just shy of £4,000 with my appliances, also the kitchen units came rigid so getting it fitted was quicker and worked out cheaper for me too.
I would highly recommend anyone who wants a high quality kitchen with fantastic savings and doesn't mind putting some work into it (remember it's DIY - do it yourself!) to go with DIY Kitchens.
Overview impression of kitchen
Great choice and the quality is excellent. The refundable sample service really helped us make our decision as well as the visualizer on the website. An online kitchen planner would be an useful addition, to help plan and measure the kitchen as well as more close up images.
Installation – Did the fitter find it easy?
Very, since everything came pre built and drilled. I made a massive mistake in the measurement of the corner unit though, but managed to save the design since I left a lot of leeway. Again, an online kitchen planner, based on your units would have been useful. We fitted the kitchen ourselves, it was easy enough, took about a week.
Quality of fittings
Great, no issues, the soft close hinges and draws are excellent, good investment and the choice of accessories and handles vast. Even simple things such as the shelf pegs that are made of plastic with metal inserts, means they won’t snap under the weight, like my old kitchen.
Quality of worktops and units
Much better than I thought it would be, in fact, they are EXACTLY the same as any equivalent high street retailer but about half the price. We bought the worktops elsewhere, as you didn’t sell granite, the units support the granite perfectly.
Where did you hear about us?
Through a search engine, I was really surprise with the choice, service and price. All in, including granite, labour and kitchen, I’ve saved 40% on an equivalent high street store, well done.
