I purchased some seed potatoes, which took over 2 &1/2 weeks to arrive (from stock), and then found that they'd sent the wrong one's!
Am still waiting for replacements to be sent, i asked why they couldn't be sent that day
" oh well they come from our potato supplier, and he can't send them that day"
Why not, most companies can! No offer of discount or money off next order, just an arrogant unhelpful individual!
They'd made a mistake, they need to correct the situation asap.
First and last order i place with Dobies!
Have ordered from this company before and have had no reason to complain but this year bought some pepper seeds and only 2 germinated. Asked for a refund and received a very patronising email and said my account would be credited. But if I wish to use the credit I would have to pay more postage costs - totally unfair. Emailed again and asked for a refund, they are sending me a cheque for £1.69 ! Won't use them again and expect that the cost of raising and posting my cheque will add up to more that the actual packet of seeds. A "sorry" and "can we replace the seeds with another variety" would have satisfied me and kept me as a customer. Tight wads !
I have ordered my seeds and plants etc: from Dobies for years and had excellent service. Very helpful and excellent customer service. Always have a prompt reply to any e-mail I send them. Will continue to order from them as I know I can trust them.
