Couldn't be much happier with the set up I have just bought from Dolphin, got a set of KRK Rokit 6's and a pair of KRK KNS 8400 headphones yesterday, and I am absolutely made up. The agent I dealt with David Wood listened to what I needed in my set up and suggested, what seems to be, the absolute perfect set up for my needs, and I am ecstatic with the price I got. Order a ukulele of the website, waited for 3 days, had an email to advise me on a delay of stock and whether i wanted to wait or they could upgrade me to an alternative free of charge. Obviously chose the upgrade and they sent the new one out the next day. Can not fault the service ive received. Will certainly be shopping with them again and will be recommending to my friends!
I ordered my Yamaha F310 on Wednesday evening at approximately 4pm and was informed that it wasn't in stock but that I would be notified as soon as my order could be completed. I requested that I pick it up in person from the warehouse as no-one would be in to take receipt of it. The following Thursday morning I received a text message informing me that my order would be delivered to my home address the following day. I called Dolphin to query this and spoke to Stephen Atherton, who was more than happy to oblige. He inquired as to the whereabouts of my order and called me back as promised to explain that there had been a mix up at the suppliers, (not Dolphins fault) and that he would keep me posted as to the whereabouts of my order. The next day, (Friday) I received another text message informing me of the 1 hour window in which I could expect my order, I called Stephen Atherton once more and he investigated this further including updating the dispatch information to include the next door neighbours address as an alternative delivery location should the item be mistakenly delivered to my address and not the warehouse. Stephen also promised to keep me posted, true to his word he called once more to inform me that my order had been left next door and offered to deliver my free softcase in person in his way home from work that evening! I've never experienced such obliging staff, it is a credit to Dolphin Music that even when mistakes occur their staff are on-hand to correct the issue and go that extra mile. This is what customer service should be.
Its a friday morning, its my daughters birthday so im up early before work watching presents being ripped into. I figured id have a mooch on dolphin and check out this bass ive heard good things about. I notice its price is more than reasonable and whilst still 38% asleep impulse buy the hell into it. Now, im at work its dawning on me what ive just done.... Im excited about my purchase its a mighty fine bass at an unbeatable price but its bought unseen and has a natural grain finish. Im starting to worry, what if its a bad example of maple with some unsightly knot on the front... I cant concentrate at work.. Oh no! So i ring dolphin up and i getthrough to Stephen or as he is now known 'the man' or just 'the'. I explain my worry and he understands. So what he does is go beyond the call of duty, into the depths of yhe shipping crate and grabs me a pic of my bass's grainyness for me to check over! Turns out it was a fantastic example. This service created all the cons of online buying to dissapear and to be left swimming in a pool full of pros. Stephen heres to you sir... Now i better get back to work!
Ordered Monday, said awaiting stock on Wednesday which I found odd as two out of three items said in stock, but on Thursday one arrived n Friday other two did, which was great as guitar was an order and only took 4 days too arrive, I purchased the boss gt10 guitar pedal, when it arrived the power supply didn't work, emailed them, withing half an hour was called and John from dolphin said he would send a power supply straight away and it arrived very next day and works fine, despite odd problem, all delivered in under a week and excellent prompt customer service, will use again as and when needed
I recently bought a couple of items from Dolphin Music, delivery was quick, however, one of the items arrived broken, must of happened in transit.

I placed a rather expensive order with them a couple of weeks ago and thought everything was fine. The money left my account but I never received a dispatch email. Thought it was a little odd but wanted to wait and see what happened. I received an email a few days later explaining that there had been some security issues with my account. After a few emails back and forth the issue was resolved and after everything was cleared up my order was dispatched the next day and received the day after that. They even threw in some free strings for the trouble. Overall I am ecstatic with the communication and patience of the company as well as their clear and concise emails, most of which were from Stewart Bradley, who I would rate very highly. I would gladly recommend the company and use again.
Looking everywhere for great deals on electric drum kits when I was recommended by drumming teacher to come onto dolphin. Found the kit and compared prices to which I found a better deal originally on Thomaan. Spoke to Stephen Atherton who replied quickly and gave me opetions etc etc, very easy to talk to and drums himself so his advice was great. When I mentioned about a better deal he actually was able to match it as well as throw in free sticks and was able to do this in no time. Ordered the kit on friday and was all here by tuesday - only 2 working days to arrive! Hello, i'm Dan 35 year old, from Romania. I found on Dolphin Music the last black Jackson DK2 available online in Europe. So after i've done the payment, they sent the guitar on Thursday and the next Tuesday in the morning i had it . What can i say about this site? All the best, good prices, very proffesional, the guitar was packed impecabble and the delivery was fast (from UK to Romania is arround 3000 km and the delivery was done in 4-5 days). I also would like to thank to one special person from Dolphin Music: Mr Simon Capper. He make all these possible and he was very professional and kind. So I thank you Simon for all you're support.
I have bought a couple of nice guitars from Dolphin - and will continue to go back there for my stuff... On both occasions I was kept constantly updated about the status of my order, delivery times, factory delays etc..etc.. Little stuff - but really important stuff when you are waiting to get your hands on a new axe! I dealt with a guy there called Stuart - who was really helpful, genuinely so - and made me feel like my business was important. It makes a difference. Waiting now for my guitar to come - the last one was in sealed factory shipped condition, pristine and expertly packed. Quality at a competitive price - a fantastic recipe!

I ordered a Soundcraft mixing desk from Dolphins website shop. The evening before, I probably had to much wine to drink as the next day when I hit the 'buy' button, I was unaware I had ordered the 'wrong' mixer. It duly arrived next day and I had to eat humble pie and explain to the salesman what I'd done. Stewart Bradley went out of his way to be extremely helpful and made the normally complicated returns procedure easy and painless. We now have the 'correct' mixer which was sent within a few days.
I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Great prices, great service and truly excellent customer care.

Bought a pair of speakers which arrived separately. Glad to take advantage of the interest free deal however as I had to buy as a pair (to get the total over £300 for interest free option) the combined weight took delivery from being free to about £60.
So if I had paid cash and ordered the two speakers individually I would have saved this £60. So was it really interest free? Not really!
I discovered Dolphin Music a few years ago when my son wanted to buy a guitar whilst on vacation. The staff were very helpful and patient with his requests to look at what was nearly every guitar in the shop. 4 years later I rang them up to buy another guitar and the help I received was excellent again. This time over the phone the staff were more than accommodating to my requests and even threw in a wee pressie as part of my deal.
I wouldn't pass DM if I was ever to consider anything musical they could help me with in future.
Dolphin are the most organised and professional supplier I have ever dealt with. I purchase a lot of items (Music related and otherwise) for my work and the order process to the confirmation / updates on delivery and overall correspondance is perfect!
I ordered one day, the goods were with me the next - text messages when goods dispatched and then I even got a text telling me within the hour when the courier would turn up and the drivers NAME!

One of the leads I ordered was not in stock at the time of dispatch so I recieved a free upgrade of the product so that I got my full order at the same time.

Order a Guitar Pedal from Dolphin Music in 2011(!!!) and paid £200+ pounds for the various parts. Was advised at the time that they did not have my PSU unit in stock for the pedal and that I would have to wait for it to come into stock, which I was fine with. A month passes and I have still not recieved an email, i chase it up only to be told that the company was actually entering administration/being bought out but my order would still stand. I have emailed numerous times in 2011 & 2012 to no avail either being passed on & on some occassions being told it was no longer their problem and was advised to seek my cash back through my bank, which i told them all along was not possible.
It is now over a YEAR since my order and i'm still being given no responce or some rubbish excuse without even the pleasure of a phonecall back.
I still see their online business (which is where the order was placed) is still up online and fully functioning so Not only have i been ripped off for £200+, i've been lied to aswell. I hope no one else has to deal with Dolphin the way i have, its still completely unresolved!

The order was handled by Stephen Atherton through customer service and was very helpful, giving me advice and helping with the purchases I was making! Their customer service was very quick to reply to all of my questions (within half an hour) and provided great advice throughout the process. It was refreshing to see someone/the company willing to help so much both during and after the order.
The order as a whole was great, Stephen managed to push the items out late even though it was almost past the deadline and it arrived the next morning and was also packaged well!
The price was the lowest I could find online, and they also offered free cables with my choice which was not offered by other companies.

after I had placed my order for the P.A. I received almost an instant text message to say it had been placed, then one later on to say it had been dispatched and then one to say it would be delivered between 11.13 - 12.13am Monday. Well true to there word the delivery was 11.16am only 3 minutes out from the quickest time and the traffic can get manic here at a seaside town. The P.A was the cheapest price online too with free delivery. I will definitely be using dolphin again and a big thumbs up to Simon Capper who dealt with the order.
In this day and age of inet shopping, the market is tough across all sectors, however there are some where an aonoymous checkout basket will never suffice.
I was recommended to Dolphin Music and I have not made a decent investment in muscial gear to be able to compare with other outlets, however I have been really impressed with the service.
Just to have someone at the end of the phone that is more interested in you and your needs that the business you have to offer is refreshing.
Stephen Atherton has advised on a couple of orders I've made over recent weeks and has been more than happy to answer every query, double check with colleagues, and push it the extra mile to get the orders out of the door.
Placing a Friday 16:30 order for a motif xf when the courirer is just about to leave and still get it out for next day delivery was awesome, made my bank holiday.
Bonus points...aside from the automated emails from the couriers, Stephen is the sort of bloke to check all is going good and follows up dispatches with his own customer contact and checks that you are happy.

My first order with Dolphin didn't go well ... firstly despite 1 of the items being listed as in stock it was actually out of stock, they then decided to ship my entire order to a dolphin store in Bristol instead of me, they then sent an item to us we didn't order and when the actual order did turn up half of it was missing! It's the first and last time I'll use these clowns.
Over the years we have bought a couple of big items from Dolphin for my sons music production business. There have never been any problems with delivery or the items themselves. Service has always been top notch, emails have been answered on the same day and nothing has ever been too much trouble.
We will continue to use you for all our music industry needs.
After having used several competitors and having worked in several Music departments in different schools I decided to give Dolphin Music a try, because I was fed up with being let down by other suppliers.
I have had lots of contact with Dolphin Music, especially with Matt Ainsworth, who was extremely helpful and even offered us a discount on an order because something else we had order had stopped working (despite the fact that this was not Dolphin Musics fault and they had it repaired under warranty and back to us within two weeks).
Any warranty repairs we have had, which being a school and buying a lot of equipment we have a few, have all been dealt with very quickly. They usually dispatch someone to collect the item with 1-2 working days, and we have had the items back within 2 weeks each time.
The service is always excellent and the turn-around time on orders is also very good (we order 30 pairs of headphones last Thursday and they were with us on the Friday).
I cannot recommend this company enough, especially for Schools, as the Education department are exceptionally good.
I bought an Ampkit Link from these guys. Not a high value item, and unfortunately the one I received gave up the ghost after 3 weeks.
This wasn't their fault and presumably is a manufacturing defect. On contacting Dolphin, I received a response requesting me to return it. Before I'd even read this, I had a new one delivered to me. Good shout guys. (Paulo Cardoso was the guy who sorted this. Thanks Paulo)
THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this company is a scam , First of all i ordered some KRK speakers from the weekend and paid extra for a next day delivery. Then they took the money out of my account but no speakers have been delivered. So i rang up questioning the where abouts of my product. The company then told me my account is fraud and the details dont match up !!!!!! LIES so i made sure all the details were correct , emailed them and waited a response............. No response so then on monday i rang them again asking whats going....... they replied my bank details dont match up , and claimed they rang up my bank and checked the details ! this was a load of SHITE. then i decided to visit my bank, my bank wasnt aware of no such thing! So i contacted them again this time i was fuming, the person who answered my call said. " we dont know what is going on with your account but we cannot dispatch your product from the warehouse" I replied "how are you going to tell me that when you guys have got my money!" . the Sales rep then said i have an suggestion" why dont you do us an internet bank TRANSFER OF ANOTHER 250 POUND and we will deliver the speakers to any address you want !!!!!! WTF , I said excuse me what about the 250 pound you already took out of my account! he said " we have already Refunded you the money into your account and i will swnd you a confirmation EMAIL NOW !!!!!! THIS WAS AT 4PM TODAY!" AM I A TWAT! ....... I WANT MY MONEY BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, what can I say, I am very happy with the service received by Dolphin, everything went smooth and Paulo is a great guy who is very helpful. They did not have my initial Mixer in stock, so I got offered another one at a (much) reduced rate, I was happy to take that offer!
I just gave Paulo a call and he swiftly and professionally helped me out .

I got a next day Delivery, which is great, however most of the packaging was damaged (very rough handling from Yodel, one of my Genelec monitors had the box completely ripped open on the bottom) and I only got 3 out of 4 items. Apparently things can get separated at the depot. Hopefully I will see my second monitor speaker soon..
All in all I am happy that I actually got anything next day, as when I read reviews of Yodel, I think I am lucky I actually got 3 out of 4 items..
Bottom line, Dolphinmusic is great, but they should consider a different shipping company!!
My contact at Dolphin Music was Paulo Cardoso, and he happily answered my various questions related to shipping a guitar to Switzerland. The process of purchasing the guitar and receiving it in Switzerland was smooth. The guitar was shipped on the day that Dolphin received my payment, and arrived one week later (I expect that half of that time was taken by Swiss customs clearance). The guitar is truly faultless.
I have deducted one star because there was some uncertainty at Dolphin over the shipping charge, and I paid a little more than initially expected. Furthermore, my request for a different delivery address was not initially acted upon, which could have caused difficulties had I not noticed this error on the original proforma. But these issues were dealt with promptly and I would happily use Dolphin again.
I used Dolphin to buy an Ashdown MAG C410T 300 W combo and a cover and lead. The price for the amp was the best on the net and they also offered interest-free credit over 9 months, which is too good to turn down. Paulo Cardoso was extremely helpful and efficient sorting the order out on the phone and arranging the credit. He also arranged for me to collect the amp from a sister store in Manchester at a time convenient for me. The only prooblam I had was that the wrong amp cover was dispatched, but this was soon righted and the correct cover delivered within a week. Would definitely use Dolphin again.
I have never rated a company on line but I feel I have to with dolphin music. I have used dolphin many times and they have not only delivered on time every time but the knowledge of the sales guys have helped me build the studio I have today. I didn't have a clue when I started and was daunted by the task in hand. you can tell that the sales guys love music and enjoyed helping me get what I need. I would recommend them to anyone.
After ordering a guitar from Dolphin, it arrived quickly. However, there was a problem with it. I contacted them to arrange a replacement which eventually came after many excuses as to why it took so long and it turned out that the replacement had a problem too. A third guitar was finally sent out which was fine however, we now have the two faulty guitars still awaiting return, weeks after the original return request. The courier company has been blamed for them not being picked up but this cannot be true. They simply haven't arranged it. I wouldn't use Dolphin again.
found Paulo Cardoso to be extremely helpful and even went out of his way to personally deliver my item as i needed it that day for a gig and there was a mess up with delivery and the item not being in stock in the liverpool depot so brought another item of the same equivalence, also a very knowledgeable person who i cant recomend highly enough sure knows his stuff! a credit to dolphin music and should be awarded employee of the month! pleasure to deal with.
