Hi Mr Draper,

We're surprised and disappointed to see your review and that you are unhappy with the quality of the door you've received.

I'll address the points in the same order that you've made them:

As you were aware from our phone call on the day of delivery, our driver Lee, had made up significant time up on the first day of his overnight delivery run (towards the south coast, stopping over and then returning the following day).

As such, Lee himself called the office and requested that we contact the first customers scheduled for deliveries the following morning to see if it would be convenient to accept delivery that evening. This would allow him to get a head start
on the second day and therefore return to Sheffield earlier than scheduled on the Friday. This meant that we contacted you by telephone to arrange to deliver the evening before we had originally scheduled.

For this reason, you did indeed receive an automated email from our logistics system, as it's configured to send out a reminder email to all customers at 6pm the evening before the scheduled delivery, the contents of this are identical to the previous emails sent when the job is booked on the system and contains the same advice on checking the doors before signing for delivery.

Regardless of the email content, if you weren't happy with the products at the point of delivery, our driver would have brought them back and we'd have resolved the situation for you.

I would imagine that our driver was tiring, as he'd completed a delivery run from Sheffield and arrived at his final delivery of the day at your location south of the M25. We would certainly never put our drivers under undue pressure and as mentioned above, the driver himself requested that we add your delivery to his day in order to save time the following day and get home earlier than planned.

As you rightly state, the brace on the bottom door panel was only pinned with a single nail, this is done to allow you the choice of reversing it's direction before final fixing to suit the handing of the door.

On deliveries on our own vehicles, doors are often brought to you without any packaging or wrapping. We have specially adapted vehicles with racks designed for transporting doors and protection to ensure that no goods get damaged during transit.
This is something we are particularly proud of, as we get no transit damage when transporting items this way, it allows you to easier inspect the items upon receipt and creates far less wastage in un-needed packaging.

As specified on the product description on our website, these doors are supplied with the glass option you choose either temporarily glazed or supplied as a separate package. This is to allow for decoration of the timber and allows for easier hanging and handling of the doors. Having looked at your order and our email logs, I can see no request for the glass to be fully fitted and therefore we've supplied the door in the standard manner.

We can assure you that no door leaves our warehouse with "whopping great holes". Where nails are used on this sort of door, there are small nail holes which need to be filled and finished to your satisfaction, but this is the very first concern we've had raised about this.

We can also assure you that our delivery notes do not, nor ever would state "if signed then no come back" - they detail the items delivered to you, state clearly that you should report any issues to us immediately and that by signing for the document you are receiving the goods in perfect condition.

In terms of the door and your concerns regarding it's quality, we are surprised by your comments. We manufacture in excess of 500 stable doors a year and generally have excellent customer feedback on these doors, many specifically relating to the quality of construction - You can see examples of this in the independant customer reviews here on Trustpilot and on our website. With the number we manufacture, we do of course get the odd issue, but these are few and far between and are picked up when the doors are checked before dispatch.

We do feel that it's a little unfair that the very first contact you made with us was this review, it's the first we've heard of any problem and with all due respect, if we aren't aware of an issue there is absolutely nothing we can do to resolve it!
