Doorstuff, they do what the name says
The house has a number of sliding doors the bottom "giide" being of plasic/nylon. With age these are starting to fail. I thought that it might be difficult to obtain replacements.
Certainly the big UK DIY stores had nothing. I found Doorstuff (amongst others) searching the internet but their site gave much clearer descriptions of the parts.
It was a very small orded but the "jiffybag" arrive faster than expected and the parts fit and, being metal, will last much longer. I have kept the website under "favorites" as who knows when the top gear might give out

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you found the fitting instructions hard to follow. It is an issue we are in discussions with the manufacturer over, and hoping will be resolved in future. I'm sorry you didn't contact us at the time as we have PDF's and a video on the website as well as technical staff who can talk you through installation questions on the phone.

Good but not perfect.
On first look the finish is good but you soon find out that they are not made with any quality control present in the manufacture in place. The first problem was the holes drilled in the tube had not been debarred so the threaded bungs would not go in. Another problem was the clamping was such that they would noy clamp on 8mm glass, so both the black nylon and the stainless had to be altered, then the bungs which go in the tube would not go in because it was seamed and so the bungs had to be altered.
The last two problems I've got is while one door is smooth in operation the other rattle in operation I think there is a lot play in one of the bearings and last the diameter of one of the rollers rides on the fixing clamp.
Apart from this there not bad.

Get it sorted
this company were great, spoke to a girl with a great sexy voice, anyrate, she was very helpful and sorted out my balls up. returned the wrong kit ordered, and the correct sent without delay. very happy.

good stuff does not match
Pleased with delivery and goods, only sent incorrect rebate kit for the lock that I ordered. Having reported it to Doorstuff they said they would ring straight back but they didn't had to contact them myself. Finally they agreed and that they would send me part F.O.C. Did receive new part but it didn't fit. In the end had to source it from elsewhere.

Great service daunted by web site but sales person sorted me faster than filling in address
Sliding door gear exactly as described sales person knew exactly what I required and delivery very prompt. One thing missing was dimensions of set up to enable door sizing to be easily calculated. Had to make mock up of door head to get dimensions this was complicated because rollers articulate on bracket also centres for tracks on base. Time for builder could be saved with more detail. Otherwise great company and will not hesitate to use them again. Ian Suffolk

Good Shop / Shoddy delivery charges
A good site with lots of stuff - but excessive delivery charges to remote mainland locations. Tripled the delivery charge just for a door catch and some hinges - more than 1/3 of the total order value - even though Parcelforce make no extra charge.

Unfortunately we are not able to use parcelforce as our courier because many of our products are 3 metres or more in length. Our delivery charge of £14.85 for Highland & Islands is not too bad compared to some! In future we hope to be able to offer Royal Mail postage on a wider range of products, which might help you next time.

Good Quality right price
I sent for two fire door push bars. Very reasonably priced, good quality and delivered as arranged. Couldn't give me delivery time so we arranged an alternative address nearby in case I was out. The courier company followed the arrangement to the letter and I received my products promptly.
Will use again and recommend no problem.

Good unit works well but instructions were a little difficult to follow as they were in German
Once the unit was fit to the door it took a while to get the closing settings correct.The instructions cover different types of door closure and as they were in the German language it took time to understand them. I eventually worked out which of the adjustment screws did what by watching an instruction video on youtube. The door closure has now been in place for about a month and so far it is working well. The delivery was excellent and arrived within a couple of days.

First order, but won't be the last!
I wanted a door opener/closer for a shop we do business with. All was done on the internet and the order was a product on offer, and ordered late in the day.
