Ordered some trousers. The size came up ridiculously small so I sent them back with the free post label.
2 weeks later they still had not acknowledged my return so I emailed the helpline.
Someone came back to me to tell me to wait 28 days before emailing again!
After querying this as they would have clearly received my return low and behold 2 minutes later I received an email for my refund??
Yet stating that I was not getting the full amount. £2.50 would be deducted due to sale prices..... Hang on.... How is that fair???
I order a lot with Dorothy Perkins and will seriously be reconsidering other shops in the future!
I have used their Internet service for a while now and have never had a bad experience.
Their delivery times are very fast and setting up your online account is straight forward and easy. They make it even easier for you to return items you decide you don't like by simply taking to your nearest high street store.
I would have no reservations about recommending shopping online with them
I have ordered from Dorothy Perkins from the United States at least 10 times. They always have great sales and promotions and the clothes are very cute. Granted they are not always the best quality, but you get what you pay for. I realize that ordering clothes from the UK, they are going to take a while to reach me in the US. I always expect to wait1.5-2 weeks for an order to arrive but I have always been sent the correct items.
the customer services is very poor, they failed to refund me on £ 70. the clothes they have recieved, to cut the long story short. the advisor was so un helpful so i asked to speak to someone senior. apposidly she put me through to someone who was meant to be the deputy manager. she was extermely rude, she sounded scared to speak on the fone, no way could she have been the deputy she was raising her voice. i have worked at a callcentre before so i know how to have basic telephone manners she did not empathis with me , it was worse then talking to a dumb animal. my matter was ot sorted in the end, i will take this to trading standards, worse company ever, its a shame becoz the clothes are so nice.
I am going to Paris in a few days and I needed some comfortable and stylish trousers to bring and found some on here that were so cute! It's been 2 weeks since I have placed an order and I still haven't received my items. I bought them in enough time for a specific trip and I doubt I will have them in time. I am a huge online shopper and I have never had any troubles, even with sites from out of the U.S., but I am highly disappointed with this site so far and I do not know if I will be returning. I spent good money to have my items on time and now I may have to buy trousers from somewhere else so I have them for my trip!

I have tried 4 times to order just 2 items and every single time I am told my card is declined!!!!!!! Even my bank can´t understand it, and the ONLY reply (lucky I got one I guess!) is that it must be my fault for putting in the wrong delivery/billing address! Surely I know these as they have been the same for every other online purchase I have made for 7 years!!! Very obvious that I will not be using them again! The automated response that I got to my email complaint, was that due t high demand it may take longer to get a response - AM NOT SURPRISED!!! Seems like a lot of people are complaining!!!

Had a question about a shoe size. They don't sell EU size 40 and I asked what size I should get (39 or 41) and just got answered I had to check the size chart.
Bought size 39 because sometimes I have that size but shoes are waaaaay to small.
if they had told me that there shoe sizes run really small I'd bought the 41.

Approximately 12 days ago I purchased a pair of shoes from the website. I took into consideration the size conversion (as I am from Australia) and selected express postage - as I needed the shoes for an event. The size conversion specified that the UK 5 would be equivalent to an AU 7 .. this was incorrect (whether it was the style of shoe or what.. it wasn't explained) it was a roomy size 8. The express postage led me to believe my parcel would be tracked and received within 3-5 days. The tracking system was rubbish - it would show that it was dispatched one day, then say it had not left the UK the next day. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The shoes then came 9 days later then expected which was very disappointing as I could not wear them to my event, (plus they did not fit)! The quality seemed half decent, although with the trouble and money I have wasted I will certainly not be purchasing from this site again & I hope no one else does either!
I ordered a gold collar necklace for £10.00 about 10 days ago and after reading reviews I was surprised and impressed at how promptly it arrived. However, this was the beginning of the most stressful online shopping experience I have ever had. The necklace had a mark on it that could not be removed with water or jewellery cleaner. I proceeded to email them to ask for an exchange, and while they claim it will take them around 48 hours to respond, after FOUR DAYS I received an automated email saying that they had a high volume to deal with and would get back to me as soon as possible. They claimed they don't do online exchanges, but they could refund me and I could order another one. I proceeded to and this time requested the package be sent to my local Dorothy Perkins as it was cheaper than shipping to my house. I went to pick the package on and something inside me told me to check the necklace before I left. This time, the clasp was broken. I asked if I could exchange it for the same necklace in store and at first everything seemed okay but the shop assistant proceeded to tell me that because I didn't have any student ID with me, I would have to pay an extra £1.50 for the discount I had received online. By this time I was fed up and just handed it over but I will certainly NEVER BE ORDERING FROM THEM ONLINE AGAIN. It is clear they take no pride in the items they provide for customers and I ended up paying for the mistakes on their end.
I advise anyone considering ordering online from them to think twice or check their local stores as it is much less hassle.

Perfekt pasform og en str. 8 svarer til en str. 36:) kvalitet stemmer fint med pris. Jeg bestilte lørdag. Pakken blev afsendt mandag. Betalte for hurtig levering. Modtog pakken onsdag:) nu er dette min første gangs oplevelse med.firmaet. og jeg kan bestemt finde på at bestille derfra igen:) super oplevelse:)
First problem-- I bought shoes in a size US 8-- I received a size US 9. I checked my order confirmation over and over to make sure it wasnt my mistake, it was clearly their mistake and they sent me the wrong size.
I emailed them 10 times, and called another 10 times! I NEVER got a response, not a sorry, not an answer-- -NOTHING!
I will never buy from this site again. They sent the wrong product and never responded.
Sure you can get things cheap--but seems like a gamble. You can also get cute cheap things at Forever21, who has way better service and mroe accuracy.

I ordered from this website back in October-- and was very clear that I wanted to receive a dress before my bday and paid extra shipping and handling fees (needless to say-- of COURSE it didn't come in time). I was really upset to begin with.... and THEN the dress (once I decided to finally wear it to a different event) started falling apart within moments of putting it on. HORRIBLE QUALITY!!!
Since then, I've been trying to get a refund for this incident and I've made it very clear to them that my credit card # has changed since the order... I've spoken with numerous customer service reps via email and they all tell me something different-- that they already issued the refund (to a card that doesn't exist), that they sent a check with the refund, and that they will be sure to send one out shortly. Confusing, frustrating, time consuming and absolutely ridiculous... HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Well, now it's April... 6 months after the fact -- and I still have yet to receive any compensation for their mistake. I thought the customer is always right-- but definitely not in this case. I'm DISSATISFIED, DISGUSTED, and would like to advise everyone to AVOID THIS ONLINE STORE.

Most times dorothyperins.com has been a great shop for me with good sale, nice clothes, cheep basics and a lot to get interested in. Things arrive after a week or so in Denmark and looks fine.
Only once I had a bad experience, when I received a dress without the belt that was supposed to be included. I emailed them asking for them to send the belt, but was told, they couldn't - I had to return the dress for them to send me a new one WITH the belt! Since it's quite expensive to return the things from Denmark and I saw that the dress was already out of stock online, I chose to get my money back for the dress instead of waiting for a new one with a belt, even though I still had to pay the return myself. No refunds possible!
I don't understand all these bad reviews - I've never had problems with this site before! Maybe the quality of the products aren't the best, but you get what you pay for. I also love, that this site do offer 25% discounts or similar very often.
I find it ridiculous that I bought I dress for $100 and when I needed to return (because it was not as cute as it was online) I had to pay $25 for it to be shipped back. When looking online they lead me to believe that shipping returns would be covered but doing more research online I found I had to pay for it. Pretty unreasonable to spend that much on a dress and then to add insult to injury I had to pay to send it back. No thanks! Most other companies pay for free return shipping.
I am from the U.S. and I ordered from this company because I found cute potential bridesmaid dresses and they were on sale. terrible mistake.They sent me completely wrong sizes. I contacted them and asked them to exchange the dresses because they messed up my order. They told me no they can't exchange by mail and I would have to return the items and re-order or bring it to the store. HELLO I told them I'm from the U.S and I can't take it to the store and when I checked they're NO LONGER IN STOCK.This could've all been avoided if they got my order right in the first place. So frustrated with this company. I think they could care less about customer satisfaction. NEVER AGAIN.
I recently bought from Dorothy Perkins being that they had such a big sale. In the end I paid through the nose for the shipping and handling and taxes. They don't use a shipping company that handles their own cross border so you pay for the agent. An extra $20 for that. What mayor department store doesn't use either a large shipping company or HELLO! How about the regular mail service?? Duh! They don't ask how you would like it shipped and say it's only 7ish pounds but it ended up costed me just over $200. When I complained to their customer services they were very snotty and gave me the song and dance. Their customer service was horrible. I order from everywhere in the world as a have a clothing store and this was the worst customer service I have seen yet!
I ordered from this site for my wife on 29th June, the items were dispatched on the 31st June and arrived here soon after with no problems. Yes, the items received were not fantastic quality but they were not bad and what we expected for the money spent. Delivery was free and I have recommended that friends use this site. I do hope though, after reading other reviews that Dorothy Perkins don´t let my friends down.

I was so scare to order from this website after I red all these reviews, but desided to try because the dress was absolutely gorges and non of US sites have anything like this.
Everything went just smoothly, non of the issues that people are talking in previous reviews.
I guess just try to order something small, and I it goes fine keep shopping.

I would advise absolutely no one to use this site.I order a purse mid November, and it only got to me yesterday (13th December). when I opened the packaging the purse was in a state, it looks like it's after been used, full of scratches, I have picture evidence, and the material is so cheap, I thought because it's the Kardashian kollection it might be a bit decent. I have been trying since yesterday to get in contact with someone about this via email and phone and no reply or answer. I am disgusted as its a Christmas present, and trusted the site. I will never buy anything off this site again or even go into a Dorothy Perkins store again, customer service is not one of their expertise. I hope this helps you make up your mind about shopping here, spend your money ona site that appreciates your business and has the decency to deal with customer care issues.
I would advise you not to order from this company. I have now been waiting for a week over the nominated delivery day and have still not received my order. In addition to this I have called the customer help line every day since Monday (it is now Saturday), on occasion twice a day. The call durations have been anything from 30 MINUTES to 2 HOURS long. Compensation has been given for these calls. Each person of the customer care team I have spoken to has assured me the order would be delivered THAT DAY. The order is yet to arrive. I have now spent a total of 20 HOURS out of work hours waiting for the order to arrive at my work address, again no compensation has been offered for this. I have been told on numerous occasions and on one occasion by THE MANAGER that I would receive a call back with information on my order after discussion with the courier, I have yet to receive these calls. I was informed today that an investigation was being started by the team leader and I would receive a call before 10pm. It is now 10.15pm and I am yet to hear anything back. There is no direct contact with the courier company and each time I have called they have told me that they have spoken to the courier’s manager and the order is of the HIGHEST PRIORITY and will be delivered ASAP and definitely before 7pm that day – again no one has checked this and no order has been delivered. Each member of the customer care team has been “sympathetic” and “understands” my concern, yet NOTHING has been done about it. Each day I am phoning and have ran up a bill of around £50. This is a £250 order that they seem to think is in the back of a van somewhere and they have no idea where it is, have no contact with the courier directly, REFUSE to send out a duplicate order and will only refund the money after an investigation has taken place.
Ordered a few jumpers a month ago. Money was taken out 2 days later when I received a shipping confirmation. The shipping confirmations stated I would receive my items "no later than" a specific date and the tracking number they gave me never worked. After my clothing was a couple of days late I emailed. Got a generic response so I did the next step that they told me to. I was told resubmit my info again. They couldn't help. 3 times I did this. Got nothing. So, I called customer service. They said that because my order is untraceable, there is nothing I can do but hope it comes! So, now I'm out a hundred bucks and 3 jumpers!
Reasonable priced items, satisfactory shipping charges and quick shipping are a few positive things I could say about this company.
Unfortunately, I can't say the same for trying to obtain a refund for a mistake on their part. The company sent me a wrong dress size and advised to send it back using their free return label. US postal returned the package to me because I owed International shipping charges(apprx. $10). When the company received the package, they refunded me for the dress but not the shipping. I emailed 3 times asking them to refund the shipping since it was an error on their part. When they ignored the request, I threatened to contact Paypal's dispute resolution center. They refunded the shipping the next day.
I ordered a dress from Dorothy Perkins (US) and thought that the clothes were beautiful and at a really great price, too good to be true? Yes- a nice dress can NEVER be that cheap without some strings behind it.
The company processed a return without explanation (first hint something was off), so I contacted them through their website, because they don't have a telephone number to call. So I posted on their facebook page, which they've now disabled people to post on their wall, probably due to the fact that I was 1 of 20 complaints within 2 hours! (the second hint something was awry).
Someone did email me, even though I specifically requested to be contacted by phone, to explain the parcel was damaged and my reimbursement was being processed. But i'm only being reimbursed for the item not the shipping cost. The item was never delivered to me, so it is still unclear why I'm not being fully refunded.- This is the kicker for me. who returned the package and declared it was damaged? The package NEVER was delivered to me, so DP should be more than willing to reimburse me for the item, shipping, and offer something else other than their excuse of an apology.
So this is really smelling like a scheme is taking place. I've contacted DP again using their website, because god forbid their reps leave you with any information on how to contact them where you can get an actual or immediate response.
I will never order from them again, nor will i recommend them to anyone. To place the burden of fixing what they've done wrong on a customer is highly unacceptable and frankly, disgusts me.
I have no idea why the Kardashians would decide to pair up with a brand with this poor of customer service.
Great clothes, which are reasonable priced and most times you can get a real bargain. I love how up-to-date their fashion lines are and they great clothes they offer on a weekly basis.
I will continue shopping online but wish that they would have a reward scheme and reward regular shoppers.
Extremely disappointing! I have never been so incredibly disappointed by ordering online from a company. I ordered $150 worth of clothing a month ago and have yet to receive it! DP claims to have 7-11 day shipping...but I am sitting here 30 days later and still nothing. I have been on the phone with DP for over 2 hrs and have called 4 times ... yet still no package! I have been told my package is "at a local depot, and my address is un-deliverable" yet no one can let me know where the local depot is so I can go pick up my package and I find it amazing that my address is "un-deliverable" because UPS, Fed EX and USPS have no trouble. JUST PLAIN IRRITATING .... FIRST AND LAST PURCHASE I WILL EVER MAKE WITH DP
I CHECKED OUT THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE-SEEMS I AM ONE OF HUNDREDS THAT GOT RIPPED OFF BY THIS COMPANY!
Later on Dorothy Perkins deleted my comment from their facebook page and blocked me from their wall... and started deleting other complaints as well! UNREAL! I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS!
I placed my first order with DP after a seeing some of their items on a fashion website. I placed my first order and received free shipping and 15% off of EACH dress I ordered. I received all my items in the specified time. Each of the dresses were good quality and fit very well. My only surprise was the $70 custom fees I had to pay to get the dresses into the United States. Not a big deal, because I was given such great promotional pricing. I am looking forward to my next order and cannot wait to show off my new dresses!
Placed an order 3 days back, had a coupon for free shipping, ordered 215$ worth of merchandise, got an email today saying i owe 60.60$ for package to be dispatched for import charges. There was NO word about this while i ordered my stuff.

Order online frequently with dp, sent a return 16/1 via royal mail! No refund do waited 28 days as it states contacted them and was asked for proof of purchase, duly sent this via email twice and no response so I called and was told refund should be through in next 7 workings days! Still no refund , have called twice again to the 10p a minute line waiting on avg 12 mins and asked for manager to be told no one available and they would call me!!! So u guessed it no call and still no refund!! Do not use dp online!!!!!
