Reluctantly giving one star, a lower choice should be available!
After receiving fairly impressive communications confirming my parcel was due to arrive on the day I needed it (4 days after ordering from 123electricals), I rang on the morning to get my time slot. They were obviously having problems with the overload of internet orders from the widely publicised busiest monday of the year. I didn't see this as a problem and did as I was told at 8am in an email it was coming today so I waited in for my delivery. I rang at 1000, as I was told I should be given a 1 hour time slot, but told they were still searching for drivers. At 1400 I rang again and was promised (!!!!) it would be delivered before 1830. (the first assistant stated 1730, the website stated 2000 and now a new time of 1830).
The time is now 2000, and still not parcel. The DPD office is now shut, their website states my parcel is back at the delivery depot and there's no way I now have of receiving this package. Although the advisers were pleasant and as helpful as they could be, the company clearly can not conduct it's basic operations of customer communications, deliverying items and making false promises.
I have no idea how much I've spent on phone calls today, but I do know how much I've lost in earnings through not working and waiting in for an item which hasn't been delivered. I will go out of my way to inform everyone I know not to use this company, and I won't buy anything from any companies who use their services. All this could easily have been rectified with a little communication, but clearly bad management, preparation with a highly publicised busy week and people unable to do their jobs make this review as it stands!
