Excellent service! Really helpful to be advised of the one hour slot of delivery. Pleasant and friendly delivery person. Perfect.
Next day delivery I always feel is excellent but DPD go even better and give you a 1 hour time slot! How they manage to do it I don't know! With Traffic and poor roads and people not in when they call etc it's amazing!
The driver was well in the 1 hour slot and was friendly and professional.
I wish every supplier would use DPD - they are 'Simply the Best'. :-)
Thanks
I was told by email my parcel would be delivered by Dave between 11.30 and 12.30. He arrived slap bang on time and was a very pleasant person. I cannot fault the service I had. Having read some other reviews I cannot believe this is the same company that others talk of. I have never used this company before but would have no hesitation in advising others to use them.

Truly awful experience.
Missed delivery, no contact card left.
Called an automated line to rearrange delivery, couldn't do it, automated phone service informed me i had to call back in the morning for delivery as customer services closed.
Called customer services the next day to rearrange delivery, I was told it would go out that day. Tracked the parcel later that day, parcel was still at the depot.
Called customer services again, my parcel was indeed at the depot, I decided to bite the bullet and take the 34 mile round trip to my "local" depot.
I was informed I could pick up my parcel by providing my passport and driving licence as it had my address on it (i'll hasten to add these bits of ID are good enough for international travel and to acquire a mortgage).
On arrival to the depot after 15 minutes of waiting I was informed I couldn't have my parcel, you can imagine the heightened levels of glee that came upon me.
I asked to speak to a manager, that person didn't arrive. I was informed by another employee that the manager has said my proof of ID wasn't sufficient, I informed him that he could return my parcel to sender.
Called customer services again this morning, I told them to send my parcel back. I will add there was no offer of help or support at all.
Through this debacle I have also cancelled my phone contract.
Thanks dpd for wasting my time and money.
I love how they text me and tell me what time my parcel will arrive, they aint ever out by much. the other week I saw Ryan (my local driver) and called him over thinking he had gone to the wrong place, he hadnt and replied that he would be over in a bit, it wasnt long enough to put the kettle on tho' so i didnt make him a cuppa.
This week I got the text to say that Ryan was coming round again, and as i was gonna be out I asked Mr Neighbour to take the parcel in, he agreed and I got a text to say he had it and had signed for it. When I got home I found Ryan the noodle had only left one of two boxes ! a quick call to the supplier and to DPD AND facebook post ( i dont do halves) got the item delivered by an embarrassed driver the next day, Lots of positive contact came from the error and i suppose errors will happen if humans are involved. Glad Mr Neighbour didnt get blamed as it could have been said that he had signed for two although he hadnt seen the 'one of two' statement.
I have no concerns about using this company again, after all they tell you when they are coming, turn up when they say, and sort out any issues when they arrive. how much better could they be?
think Id like to work for them, I like their attitude.
no sarcasm, I mean it.
Was told by email and text that my parcel would be delivered today. It is now gone 7pm and no parcel. I have tried using both my mobile and consignment number to track my parcel but it appears not to exist?! Not able to get anyone on the phone. Very frustrating experience.
I have had 3 deliveries from DPD in the last month or so and each one has been superb. The first 2 were delivered on time as per the email notification and the third delivery was due to arrive at an inconvenient time so I requested it be delivered to a neighbour. It was delivered to the neighbour on time and then I got another email indicated where it had been delivered. What fantastic service, tracking ability and customer interacation. I will admit that the first time I saw the delivery time slot of an hour I was dubious since so many delivery companies make you wait in for hours on end, but not DPD - one hour to wait - fantastic! I thought for the first delivery I was just "lucky". But 3 out of 3 on time as promised (including a delivery to a neighbour) - well that's 10 out of 10 for me! I have recomended DPD to friends and will continue to do so.
On Saturday 27th of april I ordered alot of computer parts so i could build my new computer, it totaled to over £1100 and i have been saving up for many years, the delivery was supposed to arrive on tuesday but has yet to show up and as I have aspergers syndrome it has caused me great distress as things have to be done at a certain time. I m unable to do much while waiting all the time for my computer to arrive and when we phoned the service they told me they had either lost my package or it has been stolen, i have spent over £1000 of my money and because im 16 it is hard to get, also it has caused me alot of stress waiting and it has yet to arrive. I am angered by this service as i paid £9.15 for delivery and it is supposed to be a legitimate company who are supposed to fulfill a service. I would very much like my package to arrive soon as it is causing alot of problems with myself and arrangements i have made.
I've finally found a company that gets how home deliveries should work!
Three separate deliveries from this company in the last few weeks and all three of them have turned up right on time in the one HOUR slot which was promised on the text message and to top it all the drivers have all be very polite and friendly!
I also like the text message the day before the first delivery is due to confirm delivery can be made on the original date or if that is not available if the parcel should be left with a neighbour or be delivered one or two days later.
have had a horrific experience trying to get my Vodaphone delivery. It was meant to be delivered originally on 30/4 but the delivery was attempted before the shop even opened. Then I was told that it would be delivered the following day -- and had to pay an additional £6 for it to be delivered in the afternoon so that the previous day's disaster did not reoccur. I received an e-mail that it would be delivered between 5-6 pm and then another e-mail saying that the delivery was not successful because there was no one at the address to sign for the parcel, clearly a blatant lie given that the Vodaphone shop does not close until 6:30. Insult is added to injury when the only way to speak to the DPD customer representative is to call an 0845. I have written separately to Vodafone about this and would not recommend DPD delivery at any cost.
I ordered from amazon and needed a parcel delivered yesterday (30th April) as a gift,
I wasn't home so I notified DDP to leave with a neighbour.
When I came home I found that there was no delivery with the neighbour (who I understand must have been out too) but there was no card left anywhere, so I went online to check what had happened and scheduled a re-delivery for today (may 1st).
At about 12pm with no change in the tracking info I called the service team to see if the parcel would be delivered today as I needed to go out and asked for it to be delivered to a neighbour who I knew would be in. They assured me the driver had done an earlier delivery and would be coming back and picking my parcel up later and definitely would deliver today.
It's now 20:30pm and the delivery still hasn't left the depot, I can't get through to customer service or the depot direct line so the gift is now late.
Absolutely Rubbish company!!! Purchased from Amazon, not by my choice to use this company, Paid for next day delivery, so there it goes, the nightmare, got text the parcel will be here between 10:45 - 11:45, so all day me and my partner have been waiting all days, at both doors just in case we miss the parcel. it is quite important we get it today, after been waiting for a few hours, still not here, so we got on the tracking site, it is said : DELIVERED!!!! AND SIGNED BY ME AS WELL!!! WT...???? I am here all day, no one ever turned up but the parcel has been delivered??!!! and sighed by ME too???!!!!!!! what a load of rubbish!!! BIGGEST LIE EVER!!!! I am so angry so I have to contact amazon to find out whats going on, and this guy JASON was suppose to deliver the parcel, who is it? and where is he? He maybe cannot be bothered to do his job, so grab the pen and sighed my parcel, took it home? or end up in the bin somewhere?? GOD I cannot believe how bad this company is, why Amazon still deal with them? only thing DPD can do is piss off the customers and being dishonest!!!!
I have used DPD on a number of occasions now, and i cant find 1 thing to complain about. I receive both a text and e-mail confirming the status, i am given options to change delivery points, or to re-arrange. The morning of delivery i receive both an e-mail and text alerts giving me an ETA, I have never had this before, usually told between 7 am and 7pm and have to sit and wait all day, usually mine is the last drop so i feel i have wasted a day sitting in, but with DPD i m told a precise time between a certain time usually an hour slot. As an example today's text said between 11.40 am and 12.40 am, my parcel arrived at 11.45!! So if you ask my opinion i would highly recommend this company, i only wish when ordering online you could choose the courier instead of leaving it to the supplier. If this facility was available i would tick DPD every time.Keep up the good work.
Absolutely terrible... I missed my delivery yesterday so I re-booked my delivery for today and for it to be left inside my shed at the back of my house. Luckily I finished work and was home before the arrival of my parcel. 30 minutes after the 1h time window I decided to track my parcel and it tells me it has already been delivered and signed for BEHIND GATE at 14:49. After checking everywhere outside the parcel is no where to be found. Not only was I home at the time the driver has not delivered my parcel. The sorry we missed you card I left for the driver at the designated spot at 5 in the morning is still there. The card explicitly says for me to sign the card and leave it for the driver to collect. Our driver must be able to collect this card at the point of delivery! So not only has your driver not followed your own rules (he should have took the card as proof of delivery) I now have absolutely no idea where my valuable parcel is as I cannot get in contact with either the Leceister warehouse as they never pick up the phone or anyone who is not a automated recording.. I am so frustrated and really needed this parcel today!
What does your money get you with DPD.co.uk?
Lies and failure to render services paid for.
It all starts with the all too common "failed to deliver" lie that we all know all too well, do tell us DPD how do your employees enter a sound amplifying building and knock on a door with the recipient a couple metres away and not get heard?
It gets better though! so walk down to check my mailbox after seeing the failed delivery status on my phone and there I found delivery slips to pick the package up THE SAME DAY.
DPD willfully choose not to to deliver, the package never even came out for delivery.
It is totally unacceptable.
I had an important item to be delivered and paid extra for next-day delivery. I took time off work to wait for the parcel and, in my one hour delivery slot, even left my study and waited in the living-room so I would be sure to hear the doorbell.
The parcel was not delivered, nor was a delivery card. I received an email saying that nobody was home to collect the package. This was an outrageous lie. If the driver had a problem, he could have called me, as he had my telephone number.
I have now spent an hour trying to contact the company, but cannot find anything other than automated telephone lines, none of which have 'register a complaint' as an option.
I can arrange a re-delivery, but that means taking more time off work to wait for it, and I have no real guarantee that they will have any more success than today!
Wasn't in on the first day of collection, the parcel wasn't left with a neighbor as requested. When it was automatically delivered the next day, I knew nobody was going to be in to answer. Arrived home at noon to see if a calling card was in the post box, non were left. Went to open my front door and it was lying on my door step. As signed by 'Backdoor'. I'm sorry but I never realized my back door even had hands to sign. Lucky no strangers called round at my house, otherwise, Judging my these reviews, I would be put into some lengthy dispute where DPD would deny any wrongdoing and leave me out of pocket for the delivery driver not being bothered to treat an expensive package correctly, then leave me to deal with the sender, who probably wouldn't want to fork out sending another item.
First and last time these jokers are used.
I got my parcel as scheduled... and in time. It made my day Thank you so much!
A seller from eBay despatched a package to me to be delivered by DPD, yesterday aftenoon. (29/4/2013) I was sent a text message and an Email saying they had it in their system. I was given a tracking number and date of delivery.
This morning, I was sent another text message and an Email saying what time it would be delivered and the name of the driver. It stated delivery time between 09:07-10:07.
At approx 09:20 the van pulled up outside with my package. Simon, the driver was met at the door by my wife. He was friendly, polite and greeted her with a nice warm, "Good morning!"
This is the best experience with a courier service we've ever had. Well done, DPD!
I was a little worried when I looked at the reviews yesterday. The bad ones concerned me.
Which brings to mind: "You can please some people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot please all of the people all of the time."
I have received a text saying my parcel will be delivered today, but when i rang up the number on the website to obtain my hourly slot (as i have to go out unexpectedly) and can i speak to a real person?..No. That has cost me a couple of quid to listen to automated messages. All i want to do is find out when it will be here! This is not looking good so far. Lets hope its not the same delivery guy i have seen from dpd in the past who doesn't even knock the doorbell and leaves customer parcels outside and leaves.Twice i've had to ring the doorbell and told them they have just been left outside. Please can you tell me when it will be delivered and if they can leave it with a neighbour if i am out as i was not due to leave my house today, but i have to now. (I did press the option on the phone but it told me to ring the person i ordered it from and said GOODBYE... That was not helpful)
Managed to find a direct number 0843 479 5153 To be told my item hasn't even been picked up from where i bought it from! Great! So i would of been waiting in and then panicking that i have to go out and miss my parcel.. This is NOT a good standard of customer service at all. I rang the Kurt Keiger i ordered from and they can not understand why it wasn't collected yesterday. I've paid for next day delivery and this is not what i am receiving is it? I am well and truly dissapointed and if i hadn't of rang i would not of been notified! :(
After receiving an email to say my delivery will be delivered today between 2.09pm and 3.09pm I made sure that someone was in only to receive another email telling me that you was sorry you missed me when you tried to delivery! When clearly you hadn't as there was NO delivery card left like your automated system told me had been left. I have managed to re arrange another delivery slot for tomorrow,so lets hope it comes this next time.
So far I have got a terrible experience with DPD. I got two packages (from HP) to be delivered Thursday last week. I received a txt message asking me to pick a delivery day. I contacted DPD asking if I could get the parcels directly form the depot as no one would be home however I was told that I would need the driver to leave the collection card before going to the depot. I then set the parcels to be delivered on Friday when the driver called me for one of the parcels I told him I wasn't in and asked him to leave the collection card so that I could collect the packages from the depot. Everything was fine up to this point, when I checked the parcels status online I found out that they were being retuned to HP. since the drive didn't leave a collection card I contacted DPD where I was told that I refused to accept the packages so they would be returned to HP. I said I never did this and asked to collect them form the depot. I was then told that one had already been sent back but they would keep the other one for me to collect. Since this was Friday afternoon and they are closed over the weekend I then contacted them Monday morning (today) to ensure the package was still at the depot for me to collect. I was then told the package had been returned this morning and was already out of delivery to HP. This time I was told that the packages were kept for 5 days so they were being returned to HP. This is impossible because not only I placed the order on HP's website last wednesday but online tracking shows their were given to DPD on Thursday morning. After checking this online the girl on the other side of the line said that in that case one of my neighbours refused the package. Although she couldn't tell who and also I had spoken to the driver and asked him to leave a collection card
I have asked to speak to the manager but I was told he would call me back in 2m. More than 2h have passed but I haven't received any phone call yet.
DPD keeps not only giving me different information about my packages and their status but are also failing to resolve my issue.
Parcel delivered on time as promised, notification via email & SMS..very friendly staff and helpful too..what more do you need?
I got a new Laptop from Amazon. And i have had DPD before and they was perfect. But what i love about DPD is they always come to your door. And they have the most cool drivers ever!!. JUST PURE COOL!!!! :)
My parcel was supposed to be delivered Saturday between 9.50 and 10.50 by Richard so I made sure I was in. This time slot came and went. I checked the online tracking details to find that the driver had left a calling card but there wasn't one anywhere! My parcel was now back at the depot! Anyway I rescheduled for it to be delivered on Tuesday 30th. I have my fingers crossed.
Parcel scheduled to be delivered between 17:13 - 18:13 on Friday 26th April.
No delivery. No card posted through door. Update on website says "unable to deliver" No indication on website as to when it will be delivered.
Make up you mind if this is a company you want to deal with if you ever have a choice of using a delivery company.
Conversation with the DPD call centre (Rachel) on Saturday morning as follows:
"Can you tell me why the parcel was not delivered
DPD - "the driver ran out of time
OK, can it be delivered this morning.
DPD - Yes it should have been delivered this morning, but I don't know why it has not gone out.
Can I collect it?
DPD -No, you have to prebook it.
Yes I know, but the website says I need a calling card number which I don't have.
DPD - You can't collect it today because the depot is too busy"
Customer Service - 0 out of 10
Ordered from Vodafone on Thursday, advised I will have a pre-12 delivery in Aberdeen next day (today) - I actually asked the customer service rep at Vodafone if it was DPD that would be delivering and when she confirmed it would be I was pretty much resigned to the fact that IT WILL NOT ARRIVE ON TIME - I even told the Vodafone rep that DPD are pretty much the worst courier I've ever had the misfortune to deal with.
Shortly afterwards I received 2x confirmation texts from Vodafone saying delivery may arrive at any time between 8am and noon. Tracked on the DPD website in the morning and it hadn't arrived at the Aberdeen depot... checked a few more times until around 12:15 when I contacted DPD. Indifferent customer service rep at DPD basically achieved nothing, telling me it was booked as a 'Next Business Day' delivery by Vodafone (despite my verbal and two text confirmations it was pre-12). Spoke to Vodafone (again) who then advised me it was out for delivery and I would have it later in the day.
Received text from DPD at 2pm saying I will receive the parcel between 17:09 to 18:09. So I waited until 19:15 working at the front of our building so that I would see any arrival. Checked the DPD website again only to find the driver allegedly tried to deliver but no one was present.
So not only have DPD wasted my whole day hanging around for this delivery they have outright lied about attempting delivery (no card... no van... driver clearly couldn't be bothered and has simply ghost-carded so he can have an early finish on a Friday). I would find it hard to believe that he couldn't find us since we are in a well known industrial estate that has only been around for 30-or-so years.
So once more I called Vodafone who have advised that the vans are GPS tracked. I have requested an escalation from Vodafone because quite frankly with no means to resolve this with DPD then that is the only route open for a real complaint to be lodged.
Funnily enough my colleague also had a DPD delivery due for the same time slot to the same address and with the same result - no show, ghost-carded.
DPD - you really need to sort out your Aberdeen depot. I run a small business frequently receiving courier goods and virtually EVERY single delivery from DPD has went the same way - we don't have this problem with any of the professional courier companies - DHL, FedEx, TNT even ParcelForce. I have always had problems with every DPD delivery in the last 3.5 years. Every single DPD delivery has been late by a day or often attempted delivery to business premises 2-3 hrs after the end of the normal business day.
Why is there no accountability evident in your operation - there is no human customer services to speak of, no way of contacting the local depot and ironically they insist on booking a one hour slot for collection of parcels that have missed delivery (when you cannot be bothered to achieve your own one-hour delivery slots...).
Why do your drivers simply lie about their failed deliveries?
I made an order for next day delivery and I got a message asking whether I would like the delivery to be made to my neighbour. I requested this and got confirmation.
I have arrived home to find a calling card to say that no one was available at home to sign for the parcel. Of course not, but there are over 50 house on my street and there is no explanation as to why it was not delivered to one of a number of places.
Surely if someone makes a next day delivery order, and there has even been contact with alternate arrangements you would expect to have the delivery. Now I can either wait until Monday for a 2nd delivery or drive over half an hour to the depot tomorrow and rush back to get to work on time.
Sort it out.
I was kept in fully informed of when my parcel had been despatched and on morning of delivery was told what time to expect it - and there it was - meeting all the promises.
And the delivery man was also happy - makes a difference
Thanks
I was waiting at home for this parcel this morning when I received an email to tell that it would be arriving between 08:58 - 09:58.
The time came and went and around 10:20 I went to check my post box upstairs in our entrance hall to see if the package had arrived.
There was no package
I checked on the website using the above parcel number and it said it had been delivered and signed for by "POST"
I called customer services who then spoke to the driver and told me that the driver "left in in the ground floor entrance hall".
I now have no package and no proof that it was signed for or delivered,
On talking to your customer services team I was told that this is to be taken up with Amazon.
I assume therefore you feel that this it not your responsibility and I am going to have to spend my own time emailing amazon and disputing the delivery, I am currently out of pocket by £45.
Attached below it the email which was sent back to me when I clicked the option to have the package left with a neighbor. This option clearly stated that if i could not be contacted then the package would be left with a neighbor.
I now have no package and no proof that it was signed for or delivered, For all I know, the package was never delivered.
I am appalled that this has been allowed and will speaking to Amazon directly about this sequence of events,
I was supposed to received a parcel first thing in the morning between 8:30am - 9:30am on Friday 26/4/13. I got a confirmation that the driver was on his way (driver's name: Nick) and I needed to be ready to sign for the parcel, etc. I was awake since 7am, which is the usual time I am up anyway. I stayed close to the front door just to make sure I wouldn't miss this dodge parcel driver. Anyway, around 8:40am I receive an email from DpD (Dishonest parcel Delivery) stating that they missed me, and no one was at my flat. I went extremely furious, I even opened the door to check that this wasn't a prank... But I guess, when you deal with dishonest companies, this is the result. No courier came to my flat, no DpD van came near my street. I've been waiting for this delivery anxiously for days, I even booked time off work just to be able to collect it on time. I phoned DpD up to find out what was going on, and to let them know that Nick never bothered to show up. The operator told me that they would try call the driver, since it was 5 minutes before they got the missed delivery notification and they'd call me back. I waited another hour and didn't receive any call back, I called my seller up to complaint and the seller called DpD and the seller was told that the driver wasn't gonna make it today, but only next day.
I was so so disappointed and upset, that I cancel my order there and then with the seller. It was is fault to go with a cheap & dishonest company such as DpD.
Moral of story: Never ever, ever, ever use DPD. They are the worst ever, terrible customer service, promise call back but don't return.. stick with Royal Mail or any other company.
DpD has ruined my day and surely from many other people. Goal achieved I guess.
Purchased some goods on Ebay. DPD very helpfully sent texts and emails giving a 1 hour timeslot for delivery. The delivery never happened and an email/text was sent out for me to re-arrange delivery. No card was left as I don't think they ever turned up! We have workers in the house doing some building work throughout the day so there is always someone there! Anyway, I rearrange for delivery the next day and get an email saying it will be delivered between 130-230. This time the van zooms past the house without stopping (I saw it out of the window) and I get an email saying no-one was in! This has to be by far the worst courier service I have ever had the pleasure in dealing with. Plus there is no-one you can talk to on the phone as the lines are automated. Avoid!

Arranged a returns pick up for my graphics card with scan.co.uk for the 23rd april. It's now the 25th, they cancelled the first day so i rearranged for the 24th. OHHH GUESS WHAT! They failed to show up at all. No email, no text, NOTHING, I cancelled two doctors appointments to wait at home for their sorry arses and they they just didn't show up. I rearranged for today but I've probably got more chance of being hit and killed by a stray aeroplane wing than them actually showing up. The only time I will use DPD again is if I am absolutely and utterly desperate. Otherwise they can just F*** OFF!
Worst experience I've ever had with a courier and I've used Yodel before.

Parcel delivered as promised on time and in good condition. Thanks. I will recommend DPD to my friends.
Currently waiting for my delivery after receiving a helpful email telling me that my parcel will be delivered between 4:15 & 5:15pm, I am writing this at 6:15pm after rushing home from work at 3:45pm to make sure I was in. Tracking said out for delivery until 6pm and has now changed to return to depot. The driver obviously couldn't be bothered. Can't ring anyone because there aren't any numbers with humans. How odd is that maybe Dpd just get to many complaints. I will make sure that I don't order from any company which uses Dpd
Ordered a good amount of items from Topshop.com with fast adn tracked delivery. Item was slated to be delivered 22 APR and this day has come and gone. The item reads it is STILL being processed at customs... For 4 days?!!! I need those items in 2 days and now it appears that will not happen. These items are necessary for jobs and now it it totally questionable.
DPD are THE BEST courier company I've ever had the fortune of delivering to me. The hour time slot is fantastic. I just wish Amazon would use them all the time rather than Yodel who don't know how to deliver a parcel to save their lives. Thanks, DPD!

Use most of the local based couriers, have done for years. DPD have delivered many parcels to my home and there have never been any problems, apart from those that are not the fault of any company (weather etc). Of late the service provided by DPD in our area has become noticeably excellent, as an ex multi drop driver (retired) excellent is not a word to be used without cause. Collections are collected on time, deliveries arrive in one piece and on the day expected, there is excellent courier to delivery address communication via e-mail, the drivers are polite and have time for the customer, the vehicles are kept in very good condition, not dirty or dented and uncared for, this in itself shows that the company cares about its reputation and is worthy of serving businesses that also care about their customers, large or small. I believe the depot that serves us is based in Swansea our area being SA33, so I would thank them for the service provided and to the drivers who cover large areas in this part of the Country. Have no hesitation in recommending them
Happy with the service , was send text with delivery date and time bracket of 1 hour , parcel arrived within time given. Parcel delivered without any damage.
Overall happy with the service

Parcel never received even though DPDs tracking says it was delivered and signed for by PORCH. The company sending the parcel sent another one which also was not received but they have notes saying parcel left by back door.
Don't know whose porch and door these parcels were left by but it certainly was not the correct property.
