My experience of this delivery company is very similar to others, in that a "sorry we missed you" card was put through my letterbox without any attempt to ring bell or knock on door. I was informed by text that delivery would be between 8.28 and 9.28 and the card was timed at 8.28. I smell a rat. Could it be that frustrated customers then resort to expensive telephone calls to arrange redelivery or opt for a "timed" delivery at extra cost thus providing DPD with extra income???? When ordering goods in future, I will definitely be asking which courier service is to be used and if DPD is to be used, I will either cancel order or ask for a different courier to be used. What a rip off!
Ich habe am 26.01.2013 Ware bestellt und diese befindet sich seit 31.01.2013 bei DPD, ohne bis heute zugestellt worden zu sein. MedicAnimal leistet einen super Service mit tollen Produkten und umgehender Lieferung. Ich würde jedoch dringend empfehlen, einen anderen Zustellservice zu wählen, da ich mit DPD in der Vergangenheit schon vermehrt Probleme hatte.
DPD: Laten niet thuis bericht achter op verkeerd adres DUH
Wacht ik uren thuis speciaal voor DPD. Het duurde zo lang dat ik ben gaan kijken op de tracker. "Afleverring mislukt. Bericht achtergelaten" kon ik lezen. Geen bericht in mijn brievenbus. Wel anderen aan de deur gehad en mijn bel werkt prima. DPD is dus niet langs geweest bij mij in elk geval!
Gebeld met hun lokale depot om te vragen wat er in het bericht stond. Toen kreeg alleen maar een knorrig iemand die hoog bij laag bleef beweren dat ze langs waren geweest. Hij kon zelfs zien in de navigatie systeem dat ze "bij mij aan de deur waren geweest". Toen ik aangaf dat ik in een voetgangersgebied woonde waar je niet kan rijden werd zijn verhaal snel veranderd in 'bij u in de buurt geweest'.
Ze waren geheel niet van plan om dezelfde dag nog een keer te komen.
Voor deze keer wacht ik morgen weer op ze. Maar... ik heb me nu voorgenomen om bij internet aankopen voortaan te kijken of ze gebruik maken van DPD. Zo ja, dan vink ik niets aan en koop ik elders waar ze wel gebruik maken van een betrouwbare pakket dienst.
Ik zie nu deze zelfde klacht van andere klanten. Ook nog in verschillende landen. Lijkt wel een soort van organisatie cultuur!
This is my second experience with this company , one parcel disappeared into the ether months ago, and ijust this week the courier 'couldnt find' half of my delivery in the van, but he knew it was there. He promised it first thing the next day... and surprise surprise, no parcel. And jut how easy is it to contact anyone at this company...!chasing up for over a week now because I obviously have nothing better to do with my life.
Avoid having deliveries through this company if possible, they are an absolute nightmare and have cost me a fortune in both time and money (lost parcels, phone calls...)

Email and text alerts keep you up-to-date with the delivery but they are pointless if the delivery driver doesn't bother ringing the doorbell. For my delivery the driver didn't even leave a card - the building's CCTV footage shows the driver stopping outside and then just driving off again.

After waiting 8 days with the parcel stuck at Birmingham sorting office I manage to contact the customer service department. They told me the parcel was under investigation and it was play.com's fault.
In fact they lost the parcel.
A bunch of liars. Not to be trusted. Very poor service that I would never choose to use

Jeg har netop modtaget min første racercykel fra Tyskland, og jeg modtog en ganske god service fra DPD.de samt .dk. Under hele forløbet kunne jeg følge min cykel på turen fra Thannhausen til Nørrebro. Pakke blev sendt d. 26/7 og jeg modtog d. 3/8. Så heller ikke noget at brokke mig over der - selvom det var svært at vente.
Jeg ringede også for at høre hvordan og hvorledes med afhentning af pakken, telefonen blev svaret med det samme og jeg fik svar på alle spørgsmål. Nemt og uden problemer!
Twice I have used DPD.. One was to deliver leaflets, (this was DPDS). The leaflets were never delivered leaving me £500 down. The next time was not my choice but someone sending me an item from ebay. They said they delivered it to a different address, and later I found that to be untrue. A pitiful excuse for a company, really quite angry

Currently, there are more and more fraud attempts in the internet/by email and by phone. In such cases, third parties try to induce potential buyers to transfer money, or try to obtain data in connection with supposed parcel deliveries, through fraudulent use of the DPD name and brand.
Persons receive emails from a source appearing to be an official DPD entity (“your DPD team” or similar) and are prompted to pay money upfront to cover for duty fees to expedite an alleged parcel delivery.
Please keep in mind: DPD never collects payments in the form of upfront payments in connection with the transport or purchase of goods.

Jeg har modtaget et kort om at DPD har forsøgt at levere en pakke til
mig. På kortet skriver DPD, at jeg skal gå ind på www.dpdonline.dk og
vælge "pakkelevering", men på www.dpdonline.dk er der ikke noget der
hedder "pakkelevering".
Jeg har derfor prøvet at vælge menupunktet "Hent pakken på nærmeste
Posthus eller Postbutik", men det virker tilsyneladende ikke.
Får at gøre det endnu værre, så har jeg prøvet at skrive ovenstående
til DPD under "Ris og ros", hvor DPD så flot skriver "Din mening af
vigtig for os". Den er imidlertid ikke så vigtig for DPD, at de har
gjort sig den ulejlighed at tjekke, at funktionaliteten med at sende
feedback rent faktisk virker. Fordi når jeg trykker "Send feedback",
får jeg denne fejl:

Forsendelsen gik fin nok (var modtager) - Dog har jeg et klagepunkt. Når de nu samarbejder med post danmark, så kunne man i det mindste sørge for at tracking systemet fungere. MIn pakke står stadig i taastrup selvom den er afleveret. Det er altser 2 skanninger fra post danmarks side efter taastrup da den skal med færge og derefter til lokal distributions afdelingen.
så -1 for trackingen. Ellers fint for første levering.
Never experienced such bad service in my life! My friend ordered a package on River Island for my birthday, I live in the US, they live in England. This was scheduled to arrive the day of my birthday 18th May. No sign of it. Still no sign for the next 4 days, and then my friend rings up, they decide to then tell us we have to pay duty on the items ordered, apparently it's in the small print... why wasn't it made clear so that the package wouldn't be held up? No one informed us it was even held up. When asked what would have happened had this not been paid we are informed that it would have just been sent back to the UK. I think it is completely appauling that they didn't tell us this! Why would they not make this clear and let us pay when we pay for delivery??? how were we supposed to pay it if we simply weren't told about the charge, and not told HOW to pay the charge. This is a $45 charge for tax too which i think it a bit much on top of delivery, especially since they are gifts. I have not had this problem with any other packages I have recieved from England in the year I have been here. They tell us on the phone if we supply an e-mail address and telephone number they will contact us shortly to tell us how to pay this charge... I get an e-mail saying the request has been acknowledged at 10am yesterday telling me I should get an e-mail in the next 24 hours... well its 3pm now and still no e-mail, and still no package. I am stunned at how badly this has been handled and I still haven't got my birthday present. It's hard enough being away from home on your birthday without the added hassle of trying to contact a company to get my package released with barely anyway to contact! I have never been more stressed out by a company in my life.
I think it's ridiculous that we have to pay a $45 charge in the first place, but am willing to pay it, yet they should make this clear at the point of purchace and they should give a CLEAR way to pay it... how are you supposed to pay a fee to get a package released if you are not told how and when to pay it?

DON'T UNDERSTAND WHEN THE HELL THIS SOON WILL COME????? A company with no phone lines you can speak to anyone on. Made no real attempt to deliver the parcel. It will now cost extra money to get it. Cant get much worse, but probably will.

Ordered an item which was delivered to the wrong address with no slip posted through our door. No contact numbers with a real person to speak to. Would not use ever again and would never order from a company which uses dpd as a courier. Worse than bloody hdnl.

I recieved my greatly anticipated package - 2 boxes tied together, as my girlfriend luckily was able to be home between 8-16 on weekdays.
When she was handed it she noticed nothing and the driver was very quick to take his leave. Then she noticed a rather large hole/rift in the one side of one of the packages (she could easily get her hand in there).
Upon returning from work I inspected my package and started to check the inventory.
I ordered 13 items in total and multiple copies of some of them.
Shockingly quite a number of items were missing.
1st item had 4 out of 5 items of the same type missing.
2nd item had 5 out of 5 missing
and finally 3rd item was missing, but the empty (opened) plastic wrapping was still to be found inside the package.
One can only guess if these items simply all fell out (as well as out of the plastic wrapping) or worse.
I've ordered so many packages from all over Europe this last decade, without any problems whatsoever, but I guess this comes down to never having had them delivered by DPD.
Be you counsumer or business I would strongly advise you to refrain from using this company.

De skulle angiveligt havde forsøgt leveret pakken 1. gang (der var nogen hjemme indtil kl.15, og fik at vide at den var forsøgt afleveret kl.13), 2. gang fik jeg så en seddel i postkassen (i modsætning til 1. gang).
Så skulle pakken leveres til en ny adresse: der var ALTID én på adresse fra 8 til 16, dørklokken virkede, navnet stod korrekt, kl. 15.30 ringer jeg for at høre om pakken var på vej - jo, det var den. Kl.1630 ringer jeg igen: hmmm...den skulle være forsøgt afleveret kl.13.30 ?! Hvordan kan det være når jeg ringer 15.30 og får at vide at den er på vej?! Desuden er mine 2 leveringsforsøg brugt, og jeg skal derfor selv ned og hente den hos dem.
For det første, sker den første levering (hvor man så bruger 1 forsøg) uden varsel, i arbejdstiden hvor de fleste er på arbejde.
For det andet, nr. 2 levering sker overhovedet ikke - og her har man holdt fri fra arbejde for at modtage pakken. Går ud fra at DPD ikke refunderer tabt fortjeneste..?
For det tredje, hvis man skal ned og hente den, så er det fra 11 til 17.30. Altså, hvis man bor i KBH, og pakken skal hentes i Høje Tåstrup, er der vel heller ikke nogen der refunderer benzin, billet, eller tabt fortjeneste fordi man skulle have tidligere fri fra arbejde..?
Benyt aldrig dette firma - hvis I er et firma, får I utilfredse kunder, og hvis I er private - jeres pakke når aldrig frem.
Det gik helt galt med levering af min pakke. Og der blev ikke efterladt en seddel i min postkasse - så kunne jeg starte med, at lege detetiv og finde ud af hvor pakken var. ØV
I, like so many other people have been let down by this useless company. Having received an email informing me to expect my delivery between 4-30 and 5-30 the driver didn't even attempt to find my address. He returned to the depot in Abergele and said he couldn't find it. Funny every other carrier has no difficulty whatsever, even the Hermes man who turns up in his old Ford manages this simple task. I now have to wait until after the week-end to see if it arrives. The policy of using weak excuses seems endemic throughout this company. Dwain Mcdonald the CEO needs to get a grip with this company and strive to be adequate in this competitive market. I have complained to the firm who sent out my item that I won't be using them or recommending them for as long as they continue to use DPD.
Op de afgesproken dag dat mijn pakket afgeleverd zou worden staat er doodleuk op de site bij track & trace dat ik niet thuis was en er een briefje in de bus lag.Nou ik was speciaal thuis gebleven en er lag ook geen briefje in de bus.Na een telefoontje vertelde de klantenservice in Best dat ze de hele tijd de chauffeur probeerde te bellen maar dat hij niet bereikbaar was,en dat hij niet die dag terug zou komen.Daags erna kwam mijn pakket en de chauffeur zegt dat hij helemaal niet is gebeld.Dus DPD geef de klanten eerlijke informatie en vertel geen smoesjes om de klant tevreden te houden

Jeg havde bestilt en pakke, og ventede spændt på den skulle komme.
Den var så forsøgt leveret en lørdag hvor jeg ikke var hjemme, men istedet var blevet lagt et postkort med pakke nummer, hvor jeg blev bedt og at indtaste genlevering.
Mine erfaringer med andre pakkefirmaer er ret gode på denne front da de fleste hjælper en med at finde et passende tidspunkt, eller i det mindste en passende dato, men ved DPD var der ingen muligheder, andet end mellem 8-16 de næste 5 hverdage.
Fair Nok, jeg acceptere det da jeg ved jeg kan være hjemme efter pakken de næste hverdage. Da de så ankom idag, blev der ringet på døren, jeg lagde hvad jeg havde i hånden og gik hen til døren for at åbne. Der var dog ingen. Jeg skyndte mig at ringe til DPD's kundeservice.
Da jeg fik fat i dem, satte jeg dem ind i min sag, og sagde jeg gerne ville klage over den manglende mulighed for valg af levering (som konkurrenterne kan levere) samt den ekstrem korte ventetid. Dette ønske blev vredt modtaget med at det var eksterne chaufføre som de ingen kontakt havde med, og at de normalt kun leverede til firmaer.
Dette gav ingen mening for mig, da de som leverings firma netop har ansvar for chaufførene, uanset om de er direkte ansat eller ej. Desuden, var det at blive spist af med "de normalt kun levere til firmaer", noget humbuk, da de tydeligevis tilbyder privat levering.
Nå men, 10 min senere kommer fragt manden så igen, og jeg får min pakke.
DPD ringer dog så 5min senere igen, hvilket jeg ikke når at tage, men der bliver indtalt en besked om at jeg skal ringe tilbage hurtigst muligt. Dette gør jeg så omgående, hvor jeg spørger efter personen der havde ringet. Jeg får der at vide at det kan jeg ikke, da hun ikke sidder på sin plads!? - Jeg konfrontere hende jeg snakker med om at hun lige har haft ringet og sagde jeg skulle ringe hurtigst muligt. Hvilket jeg, igen vredt, får at vide at "de jo også har lov til pauser". Nå men vi aftaler at hun ringer tilbage når hun kan (dame nr. 1).
Dette opkald modtager jeg igen 10min efter (ialt 25min efter levering), hvor hun fortæller mig at buddet havde ventet længe ved min dør mens han udfyldte "postkortet", og at jeg kan få leveret den imorgen mellem 8-16. Det første vidste jeg var løgn, men gad ikke konfrontere dem med det. Jeg sagde jeg havde modtaget pakken, og at de ikke skulle forsøge at levere den igen.
Hele vejen igen fuldstændig uacceptabel service. Noget som de åbenbart godt vidste, da de også selv foreslog mig at bruge PostDanmark næste gang.
At man kan drive en serive virksomhed på den måde i disse dage er utroligt, og jeg troede aldrig jeg ville opleve ringere service end hos PostDanmark. Men det har jeg så gjort!

Als je geen zaken hoeft te doen met DPD, doe het dan ook vooral niet.
Ze komen niet op afgesproken dagen, website is een grap, onbegrijpelijke briefjes in de brievenbus als ze dan toch besluiten een keer te komen, ongelooflijk ongeinteresseerde klantenservice.

Soms heb je als klant geen invloed op de pakketdienst die jouw bestelling komt brengen. Ik betaal echter liever iets meer, dan dat ik bewust zou kiezen voor DPD. Als een bestelling uit blijft en je leest in de tracking info, dat het pakket tot 2x toe aangeboden zou zijn, maar dat het bedrijf gesloten is, klopt er iets niet. Zeker niet als je tot 2x toe vrije dagen hebt opgenomen en gewoon als PARTICULIER thuis bent gebleven. Bij het 1e telefoontje naar DPD wordt je afgescheept met het verhaal, dat toch écht vandaag het pakket komt. Bij het 2e telefoontje een (vrije) dag later is de dame al een stuk minder snauwerig en blijkt het te gaan om een nieuwe chauffeur die er een potje van maakt en dat er alles op alles gezet wordt om die dag het pakket af te leveren. Wat dus niet gebeurd. Na het (inmiddels) weekeinde wordt de bestelling geleverd. Gelukkig zag ik op het label, dat het om 2 pakketten ging en kon ik achter DPD aan rennen, want de chauffeur leverde er slechts 1 af. Echte aanrader dus: NIET!! Met de klacht over het bovenstaande én het feit, dat een besteld artikel in een zwaar gehavende doos (nee, we gooien er niet mee hoor) kapot en onverkoopbaar was, werd absoluut NIETS gedaan. Ondanks gedetailleerd uitleg én foto's van doos en artikel. Ze beloven regelmatig beterschap volgens reacties op internet en natuurlijk kan het voorkomen, dat een bestelling later is of wat dan ook, maar biedt dan wel een luisterend oor en communiceer! Ze laten wat mij betreft een flinke steek vallen als het gaat om SERVICE!!

Below is all the local depots direct contact details so cut out the middle men and go straight to the chaps on the ground, after i contacted my local guys the parcel was delivered promptly, before i had waited 2 days of being told it would arrive 'today' with various times given by text and on their tracking website, with it even saying they had been unable to deliver due to not finding our house, (only house in the postcode and well signposted!)

Just had my order delivered. May be late, but the driver apologised and said he had been out all day trying to get it all delivered and doesn't have enough time in the day. Can't argue with that at all. Its a busy time of the year and although ive been in all day. Got my parcel with a reason of lateness.
They don't call when deliver. Oh my.. they don't deliver at all.
I got tracking URL. It said that they tried to deliver 2 times, and consignee was not present. They didn't call. They didn't left any notification in postbox.
If you want to arrange new delivery, you have to call to their paid support (3 EUR/minute) and wait long time till they'll connect you with your local depot. I waited for about 3 minutes. It's about 10EUR just to get your package.
And even after I arranged 3d delivery, and waited at home for all day, they didn't appear at all.
I assume, they are just thieves.
Vroeger had ik bedrijfsmatig contact met DPD. Er was een zekere onderaannemer aan de slag voor dpd toen, iets met Hol... Die mensen belden gewoon op dat als we niet aan hun eisen voldeden, konden we voortaan een ander bellen (!).
Nu gaat het nog net zo beroerd. De zending is niet geleverd. Volgens dpd zegt het tracking systeem dat het 'in de uitlevering' zit, maar dat kan ik zelf opzoeken.
Inderdaad, het zit 'in de uitlevering' en daar moet ik het mee doen. De volgende dag nog eens gebeld, maar "ik kon op de website zien dat het in de uitlevering zat"
Dat soort antwoorden heeft toch niemand wat aan!! Ik kan mezelf uitstekend redden op het internet, maar als er gewoon GEEN informatie is, wat moet je dan?

DO NOT USE DPD!
DPD are hands down, the most unreliable delivery company in the UK.
I have lost two days work waiting for deliveries that never arrived.
On their online parcel-tracker, it claims I 'refused' the delivery and therefore the package has been returned to the sender. This is obviously complete nonsense.
I have read similar reports all over the internet and find it baffling that so many retailers still use this terrible company for their deliveries.
Avoid at all costs.

Helaas worden bestellingen bij bedrijven door DPD bezorgd, nou ja bezorgd, afgeleverd.
In Klazienaveen waar ik woon vervalst de bezorger de handtekening als men niet thuis is en hij zet het pakketje ergens bij de voordeur. Als het pakketje dan weg is is meneer nog boos ook en komt met belachelijke voorstellen als het openlaten van de bergingsdeur als ik weg ben. (Staan spullen in, o.a. scooter)
Omdat hij het zo druk heeft en geen tijd heeft voor een tweede keer aanbieden.
Ook bij ophalen van een pakketje is het feest, dichtstbijzijnde ophaalpunt is depot Meppel! Ruim 60 km enkele reis!!!
Nee, geef mij maar de TNT Pakketpost.

this company is a disgrace to all parcel companies. they claim to do unbelieveable high tech deliveries but when it comes to basic common sense they have none. stupid drivers and even stupider depot managers who are a waste of space. DO NOT USE u have been warned!! i did not have this luxury

Jeg er ked af det på DPDs vegne at de har sådan en sur medarbejder ansat, ja alle kan have en dårlig dag, men hvid den er SÅ dårlig burde man ikke have mødt op på arbejde. Jeg hørte ligefrem ørjjj i telefonen!!! Meget uhøfligt iøvrigt.
Efter i 2 dage via track&trace at have set, at min leverance var 'in depot' og 'out for delivery' modtager jeg et postkort (!!!) om at de har forsøgt at levere en pakke, og at jeg nu kan gå ind og anmode om en ny levering.
Jeg har desværre flere gange oplevet de ikke har kunne klare dag til dag levering, samtidigt har de ikke kunne overholde at pakker skal afleveres inden kl. 16. Når de så ikke har kunne aflevere en pakke, har de også med ikke at smide en seddel af eller give besked om de har været der, men bare sender pakken tilbage.
Var hjemme da trace af min pakke sagde at de forsøgte at aflevere den. Men der var ingen som forsøgte at aflevere den på det tidspunkt :-(. Skal nu vente to hverdage før de forsøger ige.
Dette firma været et utrolig ubehageligt bekendtskab for mig som privat modtager.
Første dag havde fragtmanden glemt min pakke, som derfor blev forsinket. Jeg fik at vide at jeg skulle prøve at ringe igen dagen efter.
Næste dag havde fragtmanden igen glemt min pakke. Jeg kunne se mønsteret, så det endte med at jeg tog ud på deres central og hentede pakken, selv om dette ikke er muligt iflg. deres regler.
Da jeg omsider fik min pakke, var den smadret, tydeligvis pga. transporten.
Efterfølgende havde jeg et enormt hyr med at få erstatning, via den svenske forhandler, hvorfra jeg havde bestilt varen. DPD afviste mig gang på gang i en ret frustrerende situation, da jeg ikke var afsender - al kontakt skulle foregå gennem den svenske forhandler.
Den svenske forhandler havde sendt via det svenske postvæsen, som anvender datterselskabet DPD til forsendelser til Danmark. Hverken jeg eller forhandleren havde derfor direkte kontakt til DPD, som ikke bestilte andet end at forflygtige sig sit ansvar. Sagen tog halvanden måned.
Jeg kan på det kraftigste fraråde nogen at bestille varer, som risikerer at blive bragt ud af DPD.
