Look at the website, so easy to use and a choice of payment. Had they got what I want; yes they had, unlike some other competitors. What about delivery - a choice; very nice. Customer reviews on the web - always good to do research - all good.
Well packaged, first class delivery, nothing bad to say.
i cant fault these guys on anything their prices are better than ive seen on most other websites and the service is quick, the equipment i orderd was with me when they said it would, i used to shop elsewere for all my gear but il use them from now on
Well, we spent thousands on 2 Yamaha DSR 215 speakers and Soundcraft mixing desk. The speakers had a link from Yamaha showing a video with fictional stands which are there for demonstration(Yamaha said this after the speakers were bought, and advice us to get floor woofers to put them on top),the point was that we bought these to minimise bulk when gigging and anyway the speakers are of the 2x 15 inch type that doesn't need woofers).
Now on to the dv247 website; they advertise that these speakers can be pole mounted, but they don't have proper or any kind of fitting whatsoever to mount them. Thus, they'll be put on the floor and be prevented from being heard as the music will not be projected properly. Yamaha advised us not to mount them as they are heavy!
The equipment took weeks and weeks to get to Gibraltar, eventually after many calls to them they sent it to Spain, and then not being claimed by us(because they didn't inform us) they were sent back to the shop.
The wrong stands which they did not have originally and were sending separately, were sent to the same wrong address and then again back to the shop!
We now are still waiting to get the refund for the stands. The cover of the mixing desk which had been sent with the stands still hasn't arrived.
The speaker mains leads are of the European type and not the British standard 3 pin ones. One of the DI boxes had the 9v battery wire broken from the extra cheap battery clips.
Look dv247 don't bother to write an excuse letter; We will not accept it, and there are many online shops to buy from, which we have already done so.

Having come from a purely hardware based setup, I needed some advise on DAWs, audio and midi interfaces. DV247 recommended a DAW based on how I compose and - bit of a cliche I know - but I haven't looked back. They were even available to assist with some teething problems during setup. I now order from them on a regular basis :)
order took a couple of days to be packed and leave for the courier despite bing in stock, but otherwise fine
Fast delivery, reliable stock and price matches. Not open on Sundays ;(
Ordered a few times from DV. There was only one order which went wrong a couple of times. A computer error was responsible for me being delivered the wrong speaker twice. However DV were very helpful and made me a priority. They also gave me a discount. This has not dented any confidence of mine for using them again. Customer service is brilliant.
I purchased a reloop turntable from this company. The price was the cheapest one out there. I ordered the item on a Sunday and it was at my door by Tuesday morning. Bearing in mind that the order was not processed until Monday, that's a 24 hour turnaround.
On checking the contents, the slipmat was missing. I contacted the company via E mail. They got back in touch very quickly. They offered to contact Reloop for me to get me a mat, or they told me that they could send me some Technics replacement ones.
I've worked out that this must have been a greater cost to themselves. They really put themselves out to make me feel valued as a customer. I cannot praise this company as the customer service staff enough.
Very disappointed with this company after being informed by a third party source they had been taken over by new owners. I placed an order and upon finding out that their stock is being dispatched from Germany I then cancelled. The main reason is that they did not pass on this knowledge to their customers and while it says "In Stock" on their website it is in fact not in stock in the UK but in stock in Germany. Customers order items and want then delivered at speed so being sent from Europe is not an improvement on speed plus changing courier service to UPS which we were also not informed about does not help, nor does it help if you have a faulty item and it has to be returned back to Europe as the turn around time is greatly increased.
Should have been more up front and honest on you're website guys instead of destroying trust you had built up with customers only to later find out they have been getting mislead. I have since found another retailer in the UK who actually has their stock in UK and dispatches from the UK. If I want products from Germany I will just use "Thomann" instead as they are cheaper and use a more reliable courier!
I gave 2 stars seeing as I got a refund quickly and without much hassle which I think is generous enough.
You're site indicates free UK delivery and when I sent a message after placing the order I got a reply that it was being sent from Germany, not UK and no information was revealed to me regarding my order being dispatched from Germany at any time during the ordering process. I was only informed after I was told of the changes by other people who have used the service which prompted me to send you an email to which I was informed it was being sent from Germany. Also, I was not informed that you changed to UPS and was only notified when logging in and viewing "My Orders" it then stated that UPS was delivering the item, I mean, how is one supposed to know when you still have a photo of a small DPD Courier Van in your delivery info section, so how misleading it that?
While I'm here may I suggest you change the description regarding the Line 6 Pod HD500X on you're website before that get you into some bother as you state it has "Twice The Power Of The HD500! It DOES NOT, the Pod HD500X has about 20%-25% more processing power according to reviews and benchmark testing than its predecessor (HD500) Line 6 don't even advertise it as having twice the power, they just state that it has more DSP power.
Just for the recording I am not here to bad mouth any company, I am only giving my review as I see it and warning others about information that you have clearly failed to disclose.
Information below from Line 6 site regarding the HD500X:
"MORE PROCESSING POWER, MORE CREATIVITY"
"With unparalleled flexibility and more processing power than anything in its class, POD HD500X is built for tone creation. To start, it features dynamic DSP, so you have the freedom to stack the effects you want wherever you want them. And compared to its predecessor, POD HD500X lets you add even more effects to your signal chain. You can also mix and match HD amps, cabinets, mics and effects in virtually endless combinations. With 512 presets, you’ve got plenty of options for recalling your tones"
Easy online order, helpful information and excellent information on the order progress. Highly recommended to all and extremely please with the item purchased.
Prompt processing of my order. Got my goods in a perfect condition (I say this as in my experience, ordering from other companies has meant that my previous orders have arrived at the door looking 'wounded').
DV247 used to be great. This isn't DV247, they closed down and got bought out by a German company. It looks like DV on the website, but the customer service is bad and delivery really slow (if you even get your delivery at all as I didn't in a couple of cases They were happy to take my money and only refunded me and explained after I chased and complained)
I posted a previous review on here, but they had it removed for questionable reasons. I suspect they are doing this with all the bad reviews so I am sure there are lots more unhappy people out there that didn't re-post their bad reviews after a takedown request. My advice would be to avoid and consider the other great UK based music shops!!!!
Had to return some faulty equipment. The whole process has been an appalling nightmare and I am weeks on without the equipment or a refund and have wasted time waiting in for deliveries which haven't arrived. The worst music retailer out there by far!
My first (and pretty much only) stop when shopping for my project studio! Great prices and prompt delivery every single time. I have been recommending dv247.com to friends for a long time now! I'm very happy with all my purchases, and highly recommend them to anyone!
I recently visited DV247, Romford for a demonstration of an Akai MPK49 controller keyboard. Jason at DV247 provided all the advice and information I needed, taking the time to give an excellent demonstration of the Akai MPK49 controller keyboard. His knowledge of the product and friendly approach really helped me to decide and purchase the keyboard from the DV247 music store and not from anywhere else. I look forward to returning to the DV247 music store in the near furture - Thank You. Gareth.
Next day delivery is a joke. Please dump UPS and go back to using DPD. Unless its a lottery who you get delivering your product. Next day delivery is false advertising......... In reply to Gavin Further dissatisfaction more like . I was eventually sent the wrong item . I'm now waiting for a UPS courier to collect for dispatch back to Germany. The phone number which came on the order form is now defunct and i had to log in to your website to find a contact number just so I could sort all this out. The people I spoke with on the phone at your offices in Romford were very helpful.

It's hard to find a company that's this genuine now days, my whole studio set up has been bought from DV247 even if I could of got it £10 cheaper from somewhere else, because of the quality of service. When it comes to buying expensive studio/producing equipment especially, it's hard to find a company that generally still cares about ensuring it lasts you a decent amount of time. Such as my KRK Rokit 6s which I bought a couple of months ago, when a fault arised in one of them DV247 easily sent if off for repair. 10/10 would recommend.
In a very competitive market, DV247 consistently offer excellent value - that cannot be denied. I've purchased a lot of gear from both DV247 and other well-known music outlets (GAK, Guitar-Guitar, Andertons, Dolphin etc), and what usually drives my decision to purchase from one of them is price, or the combination of price plus delivery.
The other major determining factor is, of course, whether they have the item in stock or not.
For me, an item listed as "In Stock" is exactly that - it's either in the stock room of the outlet I'm ordering from, or at the very least in a local warehouse or distribution centre.
I've ordered two items recently from DV247, both of which were listed as "In Stock" (they even inform you of how many of the items they have in stock), and as such, would have expected them to be processed into their distribution system (they've used UPS for these items) either on the day I ordered, or on the very next working day at least.
However, it appears that this is not the case at all. My first item took two clear days to be processed, and when the UPS Tracking Details did finally appear, it became apparent that it was in fact being dispatched to the UK from Germany. To my way of thinking, that's not what I'd call "In Stock" as advertised on DV247's website.
I ordered the second item from them late on the evening of June 14th (2013). I researched through all the stores I regularly do business with, performing all the usual price checks, as well as making certain the item was listed as "In Stock". Even ignoring Saturday 15th (and obviously Sunday 16th), I would have expected that my item would be processed and dispatched on Monday 17th (in fact Guitar-Guitar and Andertons both made clear that this would be the case, and they even guaranteed delivery to me on Tuesday 18th (today).
However, as it stands now, my item from DV247 has not even been marked as dispatched, and no Tracking Information is available as yet from UPS.
I've just spoken to DV247 Customer Services to enquire as to when my item is likely to arrive, and it was explained to me that, yet again, my item is being shipped to the UK from their warehouse in Germany, and is likely to arrive "in the next two or three days".
I'm sorry, but to my way of thinking, that is stretching the use of the term "In Stock" just a little too far.
For all they seemed to know, my item might not even arrive tomorrow (Wed 19th). The irony being, that considering I ordered my "In Stock" item (at least) 2 working days ago, I could actually order the exact same item this very minute (1pm Tues 18th) and have its delivery tomorrow guaranteed by one of DV247's competitors - Guitar-Guitar.
I honestly believe that in future, DV247 should consider making their processing procedure, and the likely times of delivery from Germany, much clearer to prospective buyers.
I've had some real bargains from DV247 in the past, but sadly, I believe this is likely to be the last item I will ever purchase from them.
Review edited on 24/06/13 to add:
I emailed you, as requested, six days ago on 18th June (it is now: 1.40pm; 24/6/13).
However, it seems that you haven't had the time, or possibly the inclination, to respond to my comments.
Far from reassuring me to continue doing business with DV247, your inaction on this matter has actually compounded my resolve to shop elsewhere in future.
In view of the fact that I've spend nearly fifteen hundred pounds with your company in the past couple of weeks, I would have thought that, at the absolute minimum, I deserved a reply from you.
Apparently, my previous email was not received by Gavin. He has since contacted me about this matter and I offer my apologies for suggesting he was ignoring me.
He has explained that the delays I experienced were hopefully an anomaly, and that my delivery was inside the advertised period. He also assured me that DV247 are working to bring down delivery times in future.
I full accept his explanations, and have subsequently changed my rating to a much fairer 4 stars.
Many thanks for dealing with this Gavin.
