I was promised a refund of return shipping fees from Australia to USA, which are considerable, as I had to exchange a pair of shoes that were too small. Even though this is against EastBay policy, due to their "Fit Promise" they said they would make an exception in my case. The catch was that I first had to ship the shoes back and then call back to request a refund once the shoes were received by EastBay. They did send me the larger shoes back for free, however when it came to me claiming the return shipping fees, they threw the rule book right at me and pretended the refund promise was never made and they had no record of that conversation in their system. Sure, I shouldn't have been so naive to trust the customer service rep at his word and I should have requested something in writing. I guess I thought EastBay is a large, seemingly reputable company so you wouldn't expect them to make promises they cannot keep. Lesson learnt: don't call customer service, rather do everything via email - that way at least you have a written trail. Better yet: just don't do business with dishonest companies such as EastBay.

I have been shopping with Eastbay for as long as I can remember. Probably has something to do with the catalogs I used to receive as a teenager. They usually have the best selection in sneakers and equipment. The only issue I've ever had has been shipping speed at times. Feels like it should be a little quicker if you pay to upgrade, but I'm a tad impatient when it's something I really want. If you're a basketball fan/player, definitely the place to shop.
I will never place another order with Eastbay.com ever again for a pretty good reason. I order through their website and I thought everything was going to go through fine because I've done a lot of online shopping for Black Friday. They were the ONLY merchant to ask for verification over the phone. I had no problem with doing this and so I called them up. The wait time was absolutely ridiculous. When I tried verifying the information with them, they told me that one of the the pieces of information I was providing them wasn't working correctly. This wasn't the problem. I called my bank up to go through the process of making sure everything was going through okay. I called Eastbay.com's payment verification department again and got a new representative. I gave them the new information and they said they still weren't able to verify the information. Now they've cancelled the order completely. At that point, I was a little upset.
So I try placing a new order after calling my bank up for a second time to verify EVERYTHING on the account. Their Live Chat told me that my order was being withheld and needed to be verified again. I call them up and they just flat-out tell me that my order was cancelled because of the last transaction and that I would NEED and ONLY have the option of using Western Union to ever get anything approved.
Needless to say, I will NEVER be doing business with this ridiculous merchant ever again.
Jeg bestilte nogle sko ved "www.eastbay.com" en fredag. Og om mandagen, fik jeg en besked om at mine sko var sendt.
Men hvad de var sendt med, kunne jeg ikke finde.
Efter noget tids eftersøgning, fandt jeg dem USPS.com postal service.
Hvor jeg ku se min pakke var i Danmark!

Jeg fik afvide, jeg sku ringe om morgen til post danmark, hvor jeg får af vide at jeg får et brev med " told opkrævning" 379 kr. For at få min pakke, og så var den endelig min.
Jeg bestilte et par basketstøvler, som nåede frem og jeg er fuldt tilfreds med varen.
Jeg havde Problemer med PostDanmark og måtte selv lokalisere varen og få den frem igen, inden den blev sendt retur til US. Men det kan man næsten ikke laste Easybay for.....

Eastbay.com is a very deceptive and evil company, numerous items on their website they do not even have in stock yet they intentionally mislead customers to believe the items are in stock so that they can charge your credit card and get payment, then you are eventually told that the item is not in stock and it will have to be backordered. Corporate corruption, greed, and deception at its worst. Deplorable customer service. They also try to hide the fact that they are owned by Foot Locker, as there is no mention of that anywhere on their website.
AVOID this horrible company and shop with an honest firm like http://www.zappos.com or http://www.shoes.com as they offer free shipping, lower prices, excellent customer service, and their websites only feature items that are actually in stock and ready to ship immediately. If an item becomes out of stock, their websites show that information instantly as they are reputable companies, unlike Eastbay who only wants to scam its customers and take your money for items which they do not even have at all. Do not do business with Eastbay, you can find numerous better companies out there to deal with that truly care about customer service and have better prices, and most times offer free shipping and free returns. Eastbay charges you $6.50 to return an item, plus you also have to pay the postage both ways, even if they screwed up. Do not risk get scammed by eastbay.com, shop elsewhere.
