My girlfriend had recently left her hand luggage underneath the seat in one of the easy buses, a customer service report was made immediately and after the weekend a personal response was created with very helpful information and 1st hand help. A very helpful employee of EasyBus was especially helpful in this case, by returning the bag with all belongings kept safe and kept in order, at no extra cost, this saved many problems that would have been caused if the employees at the depot weren't as friendly as they were. Although, the one comment i could make is that the bus drivers are a bit disrespectful and rude. When we had realised our mistake we waited at the drop off point at baker street from luton until another bus arrived. The following driver was not very helpful and just said "have a look on my bus, it isn't there" and then continued to get back into the bus to then drive away. Then, on our way back to the Luton airport, the bus driver was not very professional, nor was he patient, i had mislaid my ticket and had to route through my bag for it, I apologised and whilst i was getting it from my back, he said "If you don't get it within 10 seconds, I will leave." I then answered "yes I have it here" he then replied "you better get on the bus quicky" in a very rude and hostile manner. His handling of my luggage was totally unacceptable, he entered the side entrance to the van and through my ruck-sack a few metres down to the end of the bus without care. I would have to say to EasyBus that they have to sort out their drivers, teach them manners and or even better, employ those that actually know the meaning of the word. They should have drivers that match their fantastic team behind the scenes.
Bought a ticket online 3 days before while i was away on holiday and couldn't print out a copy.............so i had a big clear confirmation with my personal details and payment made on my email address.....my bus was scheduled for 20.40 on 07/04 so i arrived early and tried to board early bus from gatwick airport scheduled at 20.20 which arrived 5 minutes late at 20.25, I was told by the driver that the ticket displayed on my phone wouldn't be accepted. Completely unsympathetic of my situation, he tells me that i wont get in the bus and have to buy a new ticket and thats it and went to serve others without finishing with me or even explaining to me why its not accepted he just told me ( this ticket is not valid and you have to buy a new one........next.!!!!!!!!!!!!! And when i told him that he has not finished serving me he didnt like it and started to be rude using phrases.....,,yeah yeah yeah while i was talking to him....i asked him for a customer service number to talk to he told me that he doesnt have it and if im not happy then i can take the bus registration and complain if i wish!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely unprofessional and rudiculous..........the driver also insulted another female passenger who he refused to take on board telling her (up yours!!!!!).....im absolutely disgusted with the driver manners and the company and its employees and the amount of respect given to their clients which is 0000000.........i had to board the next bus and paid £10 for a new ticket.....i never used the other ticket bought earlier online and cant claim its refund.......its a simple rip off...VERY VERY POOR.......PLEASE AVOID!!!!!!!
At 11:35pm this driver, named John, plates number starts with LE12... left my mom at the airport, her plane was late, she had 8:55pm ticket, and he demanded her to buy a new one, she had no money, so he left ... having 4 people on board...
We had a horrible experience with Esay Bus in London
We I have been waiting for over 1 hour in Baker Street for the BUS to London Stansted. We had booked weeks in advance, duly paid and printed the tickets and followed their instructions to the letter - but this was absolutely useless: Together with us there were dozens of people still waiting for their own minibuses - one that was scheduled 20' and another scheduled 40 minutes before ours... None of the said three minibuses was ever seen, nor any news about them. Many hopeless passengers were complaining of having had several problems on the way from the airport to the city center when they had landed days before.... Some people tried to contact Easy Bus, but there was no response. Meantime tens of other Coach Lines buses (going to Luton and Stansted) were passing by - so there was no traffic at all, an in fact this we afterwards have ascertained.
Finally - in order not to miss our flight, we got a cab sharing it with two more passengers (it nonetheless costed a fortune) and rushed to the airport (the highway was empty, by the way) - boarded the flight at the very last second. We have applied for a refund of the tickets, and a reimbursement of the taxi ride. There was not an apology, not a refund, not a response - nothing at all. All in all an experience to forget - not before having advised and helped other fellow passengers and travellers.... BOTTOM LINE - We warmly recommend to absolutely avoid this bus company, or you will much likely lose your money and possibly also your flight....
About to board 14:20 bus to Stansted, which arrived 6 minutes early, I was told by the driver that the ticket displayed on my phone wouldn't be accepted. Completely unsympathetic of my situation, he tells me to go around the corner to the Internet cafe to print a physical copy. I asked him if he would wait till the scheduled time of 14:20 to which he replied with a rude smerk that he would. I was able to run back with the printed ticket at 14:19 only to see the bus driving off.
Not only was the driver incredibly rude, he left early completely aware that I was rushing back to make the scheduled time.
Also, in 2014, what companies aren't excepting electronic tickets? A reference number or barcode alone should be more than sufficient to use a service you have payed for. Not to mention the environmental impact of refusing to go paperless.
I will never use Easy bus again and would never recommend their service. I recently had a ticket booked and paid for to go to Gatwick Airport. I printed my email confirmation, was unable to find a reprint option to print ticket, but thought the email confirmation of price and name should be sufficient. The driver was extremely rude, refused to let me travel unless I paid for a new ticket, I had no cash on me at the time. I then had no choice but to get a train and pay for a new flight as I ended up being late because easy bus. I'm so disgusted I cannot even get a refund for any of this. There is no customer service phone number you have to write, the whole service is appauling.
The driver was almost 20 minutes late. No apology, and took the back streets instead of the motorway to get to the airport. We've just spent 30 mins blocked in traffic on a side street. Think I'm going to miss my flight at this rate. Disgusting.
Hadnt arranged transport from Luton but saw easyBus ticket desk and gave it a go. There was space on the next bus. Coach stand was right outside door. Departed on time and arrived in London an hour later.
Nothing else to say. Waited for 30-40 minutes and had to take the cab to the airport at the end. After almost 4 weeks still have not heard back anything from Easybus. I would never use this company again and would not recommend it to anyone.
We took the bus from London to Gatwick. Having read some horror stories, we arrived well ahead of time, afraid we might not get to the airport in time. Luckily, there were not many people and the driver let us get on the bus 50 minutes before the time printed on our ticket. The trip was smooth, with the only problem that those are minibuses and there is very little space. It is not worth it since most tickets bought online would be between 7 and 10 pounds, and 10 is the regular price of other, a lot more reliable, companies.
Easy bus has the most bizarre booking process where your email confirmation is not your ticket but you have to login somewhere to print this. while it is stated in the confirmation email, most people don't notice because it is a bus ticket not a flight ticket for heavens sake. No value add whatsoever in this additional step other than the fact that people are misled and end up at the bus stop with a conf email instead of ticket. And i had the misfortune of turning up at 11pm to catch a bus to luton, there were 4 other passengers with the the same issue. Easy bus driver at that odd hour would not pay heed, would not give us the number to call their staff, would rather leave me stranded in a isolated place, with no concern whatsoever for my safety, lashing out, impolite. He refused to give me his details so I could complain...the argument went on for an hour till a level headed driver from the last bus for the night dropped by and let me in. He was heaven sent as I wouldn't know what to do at that hour after the trains had stopped. He showed that sometimes a better customer service can be provided by being rational and kind, i had a confirmation email which had all the details of the tickets, so it is sure I had paid, I could have been warned to say next time make sure to print.... but no the idiot had to stick to his stubbornness and care nothing about the customer .....I take responsibility for my error in not reading the email properly but easy bus seriously need to review their ticketing process and their drivers taught a thing or two about customer service. Leaving people high and dry at midnight is not the way to teach them how to read small print.....worst bus service ever.
I have booked Easybus several times and it worked perfectly untill last time. My plane was late and I couldnt use the ticket said the driwer. Its Company policy he said. OK I payed 10 Pound for nothing. He was beeing so roud to me .I aked if I could go if there was room on the bus. So I didn´t want to by a new ticket and go with him. I bourght a ticket from Another Company. I don´t remember the name of them. It was a big White bus right next to Easybus. The first ticket we booked we made a mistake with the date. We were not able to change it. I also explained that to the driwer, but he woud´nt listen. I had both of my tickets and showed them to the driwer. I don´t Think he would have lost his job letting me on the bus, but Easybus might have lost a cutumer. It cost me 30 Pound to get to London this time He could have said I am sorry or something nice. He was so roud. When I Went back on the 18th it was a wery nice driwer. Polite and helpfull. If I hadn´t allready booked with Easybus I don´t know if I would have choosen Easybuss again. I don´t Think he would have lost his job letting me on the bus, but Easybus might have lost a cutumer. It cost me 30 Pound to get to London this time Cinserely Nina Houmann
When we arrived at Stansted the place where the bus would arrive was easily found. We waited there but the bus didn't come... the next one, the one we had a reservation for late or... wasn't coming either. We were waitnig inside. There was a man who asked about the easy bus to a member working there. He said he hadn't seen a easy bus in a while well that was true because the man had a reservation for a bus more than an hour EARLIER!! in more than an hour there wasn't one bus of easy bus.... luckily after about 20minutes wait for us there arrived an orange bus from easy bus. The bad news was that there were so many people waiting that not even half of the people waiting could be fit into the bus. We were one of the people who had to wait. The bus driver called his co-worker and said he would be there within 10minutes. Luckily that was sooner so after a few minutes there was an other bus. Still there were a lot of people waiting but luckily now we were one of the few who were able to get in. Still there were about 5 or 6 people waiting who didn't fit in. I hope they didn't have to wait that long for an other bus.... We were in London for a very very very short trip, just to see 1 show and go back to Holland again. The bus who would get us back to Stansted would depart at 2.30 that same night. We were reallly afraid that that bus would't show up either and that we would miss our return flight. Luckily the bus was there spot on on time and we were back at Stansted a few hours before our return flight... Although the bus did came... we don't know if we will trust easy bus next time... maybe just to be sure we will book an other bus or train...
I landed at the Gatwick airport and it was very easy to find the the pick up point. I could also immediately recognize the orange colored van. Unlike the last times, where I had to take the easybus from London (city) to the airport and it was totally tricky to find both: bus and bus stop. Busses were departing every few minutes from the airport and some of them had some empty sits. For the first time I realized I could also have bought the ticket direct form the bus driver, instead of internet. I think they are trying to operate smaller shuttles, in shorter periods of time rather than bigger buses running less frequently. I personally prefer the vans. The drivers were also very kind and helpful. They always would check the departing time written on the tickets of the people standing around. The road was easy and peaceful. A cold rainy day in London...
Buses dont arrive at scheduled time or dont arrive at all.employees are rude to customers and dont provide any useful information.company not prepared to react by providing bigger or more buses at peak hours and drivers seem to be clueless and not cpmmunicate with each others. Lots of lost flights because of these guys...ahhh! And if the are late...They are late. If they only are able to take you 1hr later han expected (because they didnt provide a bus on schedule!l you will have to pay 10pounds more! Avoid....you have been warned.
WE WAITED FOR THE BUS OVER ONE HOUR IN A TORRENTIAL RAIN AND VERY HIGH WINDS ONE BUS CAME BUT WE ARE MANY PEOPLE FOR A MINI BUS AND WE WAITED FOR THE NEXT BUS BUT THE DRIVER REFUSE TO TAKE ANY PASSENGERS AS HE WAS ON HIS BREAKS AFTER THAT WE WAITED 20 MINUTES FOR THE NEXT MINI- BUS BUT NO BUS CAME. WE WERE VERY UPSET AND VERY COLD AND VERY WET AND WE DECIDED TO TAKE THE TRAIN AS DID OTHER PEOPLE. SO WE WOULD LIKE TO REFUNDED OUR MONEY.
After being waiting for 25 mins to get a delayed bus the driver argues that he is only taking in the clients who were supposed to leave at the present time, but what about the others whom had an earlier bus ticket? Next thing was a bunch of people queuing nad confrontating each other to get inside the little van... because that isn't a bus... I undertand the driver's frustation and little range of action that he may have to offer solutions to clients but you cannot afford as a company to leave your customers in that situation.. because of the van delay you might lose your flight and who its going to take resposabilities of this? easybus?? If you do not want to risk your holidays or your money I extremely advice you to chose another bus company.
My girlfriend lost the plane because of the terrible inefficiency of easybus. And you cannot complain back it is a normal delay because in two hours two buses passed, one pretending to be the 1.05 pm and the second one told us it was the 2 pm bus, so what about all the others? 5 buses passed by the other direction, leaving passengers coming from Gatwick, so don't tell it was a delay because you could switch the buses as they were leaving empty! Filghts and prenotation are not a game to play and is not possible to provide this kind of service, if you don't have enough place just don't sell tickets you can't guarantee to get on your buses!
