Zero excess doesn´t mean you are fully covered!!
I hired a car through economycarrental in Majorca for a 4 days. At the time of the booking, the website said the price I was going to pay included full insurance with Zero excess. As far as I know, that means, supercover and anything that happens to the car it is covered (I assume except loss of keys and tyres as they are rarely covered)
I don´t know if there was a lack of communication between economycarrentals and the supplier (Hipercar) or the supplier being cheeky/ignorant, but when I got there and confirmed that I was fully covered, the lady told me I wasn´t. That what I had was the option you can get with economycarrental of paying and extra amount and if you have any problems, you pay the excess and economycarrentals refunds you the money after. I tried to explain to her I didn´t even had that option because the offer included full cover and zero excess, but she kept saying the same thing to me. I finally had to buy the full cover with them, because at the end of the day if a scratch appeared to the car after, I would´ve had to pay it myself.
So, is economycarrental offering a service that they don´t actually provide, the supplier taking advantage of the client or it is just ignorance on their part, I don´t know, but at the end of the day, if my car has any problem, economycarrentals will say car was fully cover and won´t give me the excess back and the supplier will say that I didn´t purchase the full cover and I will have to pay...

BEWARE..INTERRENT FARO WILL CHARGE YOU €102 FOR A TANK OF FUEL IN A RENAULT CLIO
I have used Interrent Faro in the past and have been reasonably happy with their service.
However, I hired a car from them for a week at the end of Feb 2013 and was Royally Ripped Off by them.
If you rent a car from them for Five or more days then it is their policy that the customer to pay for a full tank of fuel. THIS IS UNFAIR.
My hire period was seven days and I was never going to come close to using all the fuel. To rub salt into the wound they charged me €102 for the full tank of fuel.
Pick up full and drop off full or return with the same quantity of fuel as on pick up is a fair and proper policy like other customer friendly hire companies practice.
I returned the car with over half a tank of my petrol still there for them to sell on to the next unsuspecting customer.
AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Highly Recommended Company - Would Definitely Use Again
From the ease of making the online booking from the UK to receiving the confirmation email to having to change collection destination at the other end in Crete, everything so simple and easy to arrange. After feeling very upset and stressed out at having to pay out an extra £500 to get another flight out on the same day, when we called to ask if the hire car could be collected at another airport, it was so easy to organise and made us feel like valued customers. Everything was done with ease and in a friendly and helpful manner, would have no hesitation in recommending this service, Thanks so much!
The only niggle we had and this is really minor and not really an issue was the car was given to us with less than quarter tank of fuel, we filled it up to the top and returned it with still nearly 3/4 of a tank full. Someone else will get the benefit but it's a small price to pay for having such a reliable service!

With our car hire we included prepaid fuel and a sat nav and chip or scratch cover, excellent value for money! Treated like an important customer with 5* service will def use again!!
The free pick up and drop off service was excellent too!!

Fuel policy
The new policy of charging for a full tank of fuel for short term rentals less than a week and been told to return as empty as possible is just another way of charging more. Be careful!!

Geweldige service
De huurauto was een vrijwel nieuw. De schade afhandeling kon niet beter. Goede schade begeleiding via e mail in het vakantieland en het gehele voorschot teruggekregen. De positieve ervaring maakt dat ik de volgende keer weer bij ECR.co een auto incl allrisk verzekering zal huren.

Economycarrentals are good but their supplier Europcar triedto cheat me and blame them
Europcar told me they had 4 cars booked in my name instead of one, but could not say who was to blame, telling me to check whether Economycarrentals had charged me 4 deposits (they hadn't). When I asked how and when they would charge my credit card they joked and then said they would 'tell me at the end'. They took my voucher and asked for additional money approx. CHF50 on top of the voucher amount for winter tyres, which I refused as they were included. I explained that I had selected Economycarrentals specifically because they included winter tyres. They said Economycarrentals was to blame for hiding charges and I should contact them. My voucher was ignored and I was blamed for not booking directly with Europcar - I said they were responsible for selecting their brokers. I was told I was too stupid to understand by both a desk officer and a manager, then told they did not have time to deal with me and they would not give me a car as I would not listen to them and I should go elsewhere (and lose my deposit). I protested strongly but eventually agreed to pay the extra but said it was a cheat as I had no alternative alone in a foreign country. They refused me the car for a while then when they finally printed the invoice it showed an amount within CHF 1 of the Economycarrentals voucher amount and they said they had made a mistake in not accounting that I had already paid a deposit. No apology, disgusting bullying rudeness, probably worse because I was a woman travelling alone. Economycarrentals did everything fine with their charges, their booking and their voucher but their supplier tried to cheat me and treats customers like dirt.

Best car rental broker out there!
Economy Car Rentals is a car broker or the highest calibre. I have had issues with the actual rental companies on occasion, but that is not the problem of this company to fix as they are just a broker. Economy Car Rentals provides an impeccable service and after-service to their customers and follows through on issues and disputes, which is much more than I can say for some rental companies. You will always get the best service from them and the appropriate follow-up if there have been any problems with your rental.
I think it would be unfair to give them any less than 5 stars for problems experienced with the rental companies themselves, so I will give them top marks for a top experience.

Best deals and great prices
I have used Economy car rentals several times now. Except for one slightly lazy supplier at Turkey all other suppliers have been great. The cars have been as described or better. Cannot fault the price or service of the suppliers and this is for Spain, Tenerife and Tunisia. Would recommend and use again.

The best value cars
The cars from Sixt are a little beaten up but cheap and fully insured. Economycar rentals are the cheapest I could find for Cyprus.

Bit of a rip off
Disappointed that another £20 to pay as I did not have my green paper with my driving license. {we can call the DVLA to check your license for endorsements (an additional £5 charge applies) and you can take your hire car}. This is a statement by Avis car hire
After 200 miles the water in the windscreen wash was empty. Not always easy to get more when in a rush traveling back to the hire location.

Why bother with anyone else?
We have used Economy Car Rentals on numerous occasions and they have always been excellent. The only time we have ever had a problem with renting cars for our holidays is when we havet tried other companies...........we will now always go back to Economy Car Rentals!
