Seit 12 Jahren nehme ich fast jährlich ein Mietwagen von dieser Firma und war bis jetzt nie enttäuscht worden!
Die Autos sind in einem ordentlichen Zustand, die Mitarbeiter sind höfflich und zuvorkommend und der Preis stimmt mit der Leistung überein!
Car rental in Portugal (Muitiauto/internationalcar rental company) are not following the contract with Economy car rentals...therefore charging extra well above the agreement...( i've got charged extra 100 euros due fuel)...they didn't get the original ordered car ...they give an substitute..( they had the original car next to the substitute and gave to another customer after me,... when i ask about....they said we gonna give you an substitute)..Very bad experience this time...
We strongly recommend , very good service and good prices .
If you looking for best deal or best service, I don't think you need to look anywhere else. They have best pricing. I got car from them for $550 for 18 days and other companies are charging 50% more. So without doubt going with this company is Win-Win.

Office opened early by 7am and easily spotted as per the direction from the voucher print out. Process to get the car was easy and fast. Expected a Ford Focus or Opel Corsa but was given a BMW Mini Countryman. Absolutely ecstatic with the condition of the vehicle with only close to 10,000km clocked. The interior of the car was clean and perfect. Exterior of the car was shiny. Alignment of the car was good, brake as good as new and engine sound just like a new vehicle. Process of returning the car was even easier with only drop off of the car at the parking garage opposite the office will do.
I took out a zero excess policy with Economy
Unfortunately I had a small scratch in Sydney Australia and would of had to pay in AUD$450. Although I had taken out insurance with Europcar the excess was approx $4000.
After a lot of paper work with Economy they eventually repaid memy share of the excess
I rented a car through Economy Car rentals in Faro. I feel that the company they used ripped me off by charging an exorbitant amount for so-called damage that I didn't do .
I was very vary submitting my insurance claim to Economy as I had no police accident form or any damage statement, but they have paid up without any hesitation
Eu aluguei carros por três vezes pelo site aqui em Portugal, mas nessa última foi em uma empresa diferente. Chegando no meeting point no aeroporto de Lisboa, houve um atraso de 15 minutos para nós levarmos até o local em que estava o carro. Não nos passaram informações importantes, e quando devolvi o carro, o funcionário foi rude e afirmou ter me dado uma informação que não deu no dia do aluguel. Eu queria esclarecer uma dúvida e fui atendida de modo grosseiro. Não gostei dessa última empresa Drive on holidays e não recomendaria a amigos.
I booked a car with a full insurance coverage, which looked attractive. Unfortunately I did have a small damage (fine scratch caused by a bush) and the rental company made me pay a substantial amount for it.
I contacted EconomyCarRentals on 30.apr.2013 and I got no response what so ever.
I wrote again and got no reply.
I used the live-chat support several times, just to answers like (exact quote):
- "your case in que, you will be informed as soon as possible"
- "unfortunately i can not help you over the live support, this need to be dealed with the claims department"
- "your e-mail was forwarded to your claims department"
-"the department dealing with this is closed this week"
-"the person in charge for these claims is out of office at the moment, this is why there is a delay"
This has been going on for 10 days ! now.
It sounds more like trying to avoid my application and the refund due.
What I love with this company is the fact that what you see in their site is what you pay. They include everything in the price, all extras and delivery fees! I will keep booking with them since so far I had no complain whatsoever.
Price of the rental was pretty much what was the normal price of the rentals, if done directly with the car rental company. So basically nothing gained using this site. But the full insurance coverage made it interesting, so I took the deal and the insurance. Unfortunately I did have an accident and of course I contacted the company with all the documents, paper, photos etc. to get my 400 NZ$ back, that was the cost of the repairs. The then told me that since I was driving a gravel road, they don't pay. So no matter if you drive on a frequently used road, which is marked on a map and has a name, if there is no tarmac, you are on your own. So here we are, NEVER TAKE THE INSURANCE FROM THEM (and might as well not the car)!!

Машиной доволен - пробег до меня 3000 миль - 4800км. При чем получил Шкода Рапид (в Украине ее только начали продавать). Машина чистая, новая, с кондером и довольно экономная. Единственный недостаток - не работала розетка прикуривателя (12 в). Однако в машине имелся встроенный USB вход/выход, который я исспользовал для зарядки телефона/GPS. Короче все класно - только если вы планируете исспользовать GPS - обязательно проверьте работоспособность розетки прикуривателя.
The car rental company Thai Rent a Car would cheat you money when you return the car. They would say the tire had problem and needed a charge THB4000, but they did not show the retire to you when you got the car and it was not aware at all. After my Thai friend spoken to them, I did not know what they spoken, but then the staff said no problem. So, it indicated they just simply wanted to cheat money.
Hatten im Sommer einen Klinwagen über Economycarrental gebucht und bei Six den wagen erhalten. Mussten das Fahrzeug ohne Übergabe abgeben. Ein Schaden über fast 600 € wurde uns über die Kreditkarte abgerechnet obwohl wir uns ganz sicher warnen das das Fahrzeug ok war. Economycarrental hat den Schaden obwohl einige Unterlagen fehlten ersetzt. Zum Teil mussten Unterlagen aus Finnland von Economycarrental organisiert werden. Die Abwicklung dauerte fast 6 Monate was sicher der schwierigen Sachlage geschuldet war. Besten dank für Ihre gute Kooperation.
Economy Car Rentals was one of the few who include full coverage insurance in the price of the rental. After shopping around on the Internet for an entire day, I was so glad to find them at last. I rented a Ford Focus out of St. Louis Airport in the United States. The local affiliate was Alamo Rental Cars, who were courteous and professional. In fact, due to a stock shortage, I was given a two-category upgrade. My 12-day rental was flawless and a solid value when you examine the final price. I would definitely use ECR again during future travels.
The car was clean and in great condition. Air-con was nice and cold. Thai car rentals was the provider. Got a full refund as promised when I returned the car as agreed upon. Great holiday thanks to them.
Car provider complained that there was no record of my booking even though I have a full printout of my booking voucher. They keep complaining about this when processing the booking. Then they said there won't be 3 additional drivers as per the voucher as the computer only allows 2. So my plan for 4 drivers to take turn to drive because of the distance is out of the window. They said they need to go to the back office and then took forever to come back leaving us pondering what was happening - is there a car waiting or is it not? Overall very unpleasant experience which I never had before. It's a thumbs down for this provider.

Процесс аренды автомобиля прошёл быстро, получили даже подарок - бесплатную аренду детского кресла. Машина вся с небольшими ссадинами, но при сдаче проблем не было. Одно но: при бронировании автомобиля цена была 215 евро, а при оплате/сдаче автомобиля 256 евро, типа с НДС. Вообщем докапываться не стал, время не было, но прецедент на лицо. Всем удачи.
Reasonable prices, at the end everything works as written in the offer. However the voucher needs to be taken to the local provider to ensure you get what's written in the offer (voucher). Do not accept any additional offers provided by the local provider (overall T&Cs can be changed).
We booked our car (with full insurance cover) online with Economy Car Rental. Picked up the car at Thrifty Car Rental, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia on December 16th, 2012. Returned the car on December 22 with a slight scratch on the bumper. Thrifty staff was arrogant, rude and told us to deal directly with Economy Car Rental for insurance claim. Thrifty charged my credit card approximately A$3,300 and returned it 3 months later. We contacted Economy Car Rental and the response was quick, friendly and we received our money within a month. Initially we were sceptical of our claim since Economy Car Rental is based in Greece. I will recommend this company to all my friends - but do not rent from Thrifty Australia (lousy service, arrogant, rude)
After I was given online the best value for money for the type of car I was looking for including all insurances, I was surprised to be upgraded once more at the airport to a great, great car with diesel, which was good for my budget, and a free navigation system!
Economy Car is a rental car broker not a rental car company. I have used Economy Car on my last two trips to Europe and have received wonderful service on each occasion. I feel that the rates offered by Economy Car are very competitive and have received support when needed as in my last trip when I received assistance in dealing with a damage claim. Economy Car came through, as promised, with reimbursement for the damage because I had paid for the no excess liability when I reserved the car through Economy Car. I would always recommend taking the no excess liability when renting vehicles in Europe because the rental car companies there are much more aggressive with inspecting returned cars than U.S. rental companies. If I had a complaint, it would be with some of the rental car companies in Europe that sometimes do not provide the best of service that I have come to expect from the U.S. companies.
