I ordered some decking on Monday morning and it arrived on Friday as I requested. Received confirmation and delivery emails and also a call from the driver when he was on his way. The decking was excellent quality and looks exquisite now its been laid. I'm now considering a pergola to finish off our newly landscaped garden. Received a good service from this company and would defiantly be dealing with them again.
Ordered last tuesday and received my order on the saturday. delivery guy was brilliant and very helpful put all my goods around the back for me. had it all put together over the weekend , looks great. great value for money... very happy :) will be using them again!. 5*
First order was great, no problems apart from the delivery driver not calling ahead as promised, but not a major problem as I was on a day off anyway, which made me order with edecks again. Ordered online and received delivery date via email, arranged for someone to be in for when delivery arrived, received another email to say delivery date had changed and was going to be a day later, as I wasn't off until the Friday I thought not a problem and again arranged for someone to be in for delivery(thursday 30th August 2012). Edecks called on the delivery day, saying van with my delivery had broken down and I wasn't going to get my order that day. (okay these things happen) Called them later on in the day as they hadn't given me a new delivery date and the man I spoke to said that they hadn't had any Vans break down and what was I talking about. I was so disappointed, as they seemed to be playing me for a fool. I managed to speak to Nick (Manager) and he said the man I had just spoken to thought I said phone not Van (like that makes any sense, why would I ask if the phones had broken down!!). Anyway, Nick promised that my order would be with me before 9am the following day, 31st August 2012, great I thought!!... (no apology by the way) 9am came and went, I called edecks Nick said he would call me back, 10am no call, called them back at 10.30am spoke to Nick who said he would call the driver and see where he was, (again no apology for not calling me back, or not having my order as promised) no call back from Nick, 11.30am called Nick as still no delivery, (this was now effecting the work schedule on the decking) Nick called the driver again while I was on hold, he was going to be with me soon. My order finally arrived at 12.45pm, the driver wasn't best pleased as his deliveries had been upset by the fact that he had to deliver to me first. (not what I wanted to hear to be fair). Called Nick and after a very long conversation he offered me a £50 refund and money off my next order, this was 31st August 2012 I am still waiting for my refund, I have emailed many times and spoken to Nick asking for the refund to be processed. No call back from Nick, no apology and only one email from the sales team to say I was using the wrong email address and they would forward it on to the correct person. Spoke to Nick last week he acknowledged that he had received my emails, but wouldn't answer me when I asked why he hadn't responded to them. I am sure there are many customers who have had great service every time they have used edecks but unfortunately on this occasion I am a very dissatisfied customer and still waiting for my £50 refund, plus an apology...

Order: joists and decking for a 3m x 4m deck.
Whilst delivery was 24 hours later than advised (Yorkshire to Surrey is quite a trip, but a phone call?), causing rearrangements and some angst, the timber delivered on 20/09/2012 looks good and I must give top marks to your delivery driver, he did an excellent job.
Firstly, in finding the address, it is a far from easy location, and secondly, in making the actual delivery. By the time he arrived it was 8.30pm and pitch dark, the house was empty and in darkness, and delivery was from a small unlit side road, over a solid 6'+ fence onto a narrow path some 3' inside the rear garden (missing a new big conservatory!). By the light of his torch, he did it, and very neatly too. An impressive performance, please thank him on my behalf. A phone call would have ensured a 5 star performance.
I have used many different sources for my garden and decking equipment in the past but by far this is the best I have used. Found by accident online through Facebook, after reading the good reviews and recommendations on Facebook I visited the site and found the exact decking that I was after, at a better price than I had been quoted and in stock for the considerable quantity I was after.
I had relatively difficult bespoke delivery requirements and that was no trouble, spoke to the office and probably one of the most helpful customer service people (with good product knowledge) that I have ever spoke to. First class, would actively recommend.
I ordered decking of this company only half the order came and they could not deliver the rest till the following week which was no good to me as my carpenter had booked the day off so I cancelled the order of the missing wood and went to wicks as needed it that day, three days later I got an email saying my wood would be delivered after the order had been cancelled absolutely awful company, I am still waiting for my refund 6 weeks later and have had to get the visa card people involved so my top tip is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Deal with this company on a regular basis buying supplies & not been let down yet with delivery or quality of product`s. Also have associates who rely on the gear been there when & where it`s supposed to be, again always on the mark.
I have never before been compelled to write a bad review in relation to any product or service .... until now. Edecks are absolutely dreadful. I ordered 2.1 m x 2.1 m decking. Everything seemed fine until my husband and his friend started trying to build it and then it became obvious pretty quickly that there were three joists missing. I rang the company and they then sent out three joists which were each 1 ft too short. When I spoke to them again they said that I had been sent 7 ft joists instead of 8 ft joists as my order was for 2.1 m decking. Indeed, I did order 2.1 m decking; however, for reasons known only to Edecks they had originally sent me 2.4 m x 2.4 m decking hence why the 7 ft joists were too short! I had to call Edecks again and was promised that the correct length joists would be sent out early the following week. The following week came and went and still no 8ft joists and no communication/explanation of any kind.
To speak plainly, please do not use this company. They simply have no idea what they are doing.
I phoned up and spoke to Jez in sales who was really helpful as I was unsure how much decking I would need, once I had placed my order I got an email the next day with a delivery date which arrived on said date. I downloaded the instructions off the website and started to lay down the decking, when I got a little stuck I called and spoke to another member of the sales team who were more than happy to help me. Great value for money - will definitely order from eDecks again!
I ordered some 4x2 tanalized timber to construct a frame for decking and some other bits and pieces. I was contacted via email saying it would be delivered on the 20th August 2012. I had a phone call on that day from the driver saying he would be 15 mins, great, 2 hours later no wood, did 1471 and phoned the drivers mobile, he said I have delivered it it's on the garden at the back of my house next to the pond, I have no pond I said to the driver, he said you have. The driver had delivered it to the wrong house, 1 hour later he turned up with my wood. I was totally disappointed, the wood is poor quality with lumps out of it, it was also twisted, bent and unusable not fit for purpose. I have sent a email but had no reply, so customer services are rubbish.
I was going to order my decking from Edecks, but I will be looking for another company to supply me.

Recently bought one of the easy decking kits to spruce up our tired looking garden. We went for the kit rather than buy and cut all the wood our self. The deck was here within days and the quality is great. Only problem I had was finding the correct build instructions on the site but a quick call to their hotline got me on the right track. Really pleased with the end result I just wish we had more sunshine so I could go out and enjoy it more. 100% recommended
I recently bought some fencing from this company, and I have been very impressed with how they handled the whole order from beginning to end, when I spoke to their customer services about the order I found them very helpful and friendly.
The delivery was quick and I was pleased with the quality of the fencing, I would have no hesitation recommending them to my friends and will definitely buy from them again in the future
If you are looking for decking I'd recommend looking elsewhere. The customer service is poor to put it mildly. Despite the website claiming the decking kit came complete with everything needed, two thirds of what was required was missing, also the quality of the wood isnt upto what was expected. When trying to deal with customer service they completely ignore emails and fail to either take calls or indeed return calls. I'd suggest paying a bit more and go to a supplier looks after their customers rather than take their money and then ignore them.
What a fantastic bunch of people. Edecks is by far thee best site i could possibly recomend to anyone.
The guys that work there are more than helpful. Prices are spot on and you receive everything when they say it will be with you.

I bought a pergola of this company that deliver in 2 to 3 days well on day 4 i head not had this, i requested delivery to be on a wednesday. i got an email telling me it would be Thursday. well thats no good to me.so i called them and i got the most unexpected display of customer service that i have ever had in my whole life. the guy i spoke to automatically argued with me for what reason i dont know. then told me they will probably never be able to deliver my goods. so i said that in the case then i will have to cancel my orer then wont i. there reaction was to just hang up one me. can you believe that. i cant. so i have been emailing for days to get this confirmed that it is cancelled and i will be getting my money back. i will be contacting my credit card otherwise. my suggestion forget edecks. there are many other sites and shops that you can go to, avoid these like the plague.
i would be very interested to know what the owner of the company thinks about his rude staff that hang up on you and treat you like crap. customer service agent Sean what a vile creature. i would sack any member of staff like this in my company
Had a phone call from the owner . He was most helpful and promised to sort out any problems I had . Replacements have been offered , which is great . Wood is wood so can not always be uniform . I will be continuing to use Edecks in the future . Happy with their customer response thanks .

I ordered a large decking kit on the Monday afternoon. At 7.00 am on Wednesday it arrived. One piece of deck was damaged but the driver had bought an extra one just in case. The wood looks fine to me. One niggle was that I was short of about a dozen100mm screws. I also think the instructions, which you download, could be a little clearer for people who have not done this work before. Overall however very satisfied.
order 1 arrived in perfect time and of good quality so thought I'd use edecks again and in the future, 2nd order... What an experience, had email to confirm items will arrive on a certain date, after a call to 'Sean from edecks' I am told it will arrive 4 days later, I asked why did you tell me on a email it would be here today, he replied I never wrote you an email, I confirmed the time, the email address for which is his own personal edecks web address, made me out to be a liar so I asked for it to be cancelled and return my money back to my card, instead of an apology he says very abruptly "fine I'll refund the money and just hangs the phone up on me!! Customer service training required for you Sean from edecks you are not doing that company any favours by speaking and treating customers in such a way! I am absolutely disgusted to be treated like that and would now in future rather pay for my goods at a higher price than deal with you again! What a aragant man, tip for managing director... Either train him up or get rid he is not doing your supposed to be good company with such good reputation any good! Future customers take notice of the bad reviews through this and other websites people don't waste there time writing them for no reason! Go to wickes at least they know customer service skills
I ordered a heavy duty feather board fence. Web site said 1-3 days delivery it took 9 days. when the panels arrived I was very disappointed by the quality and finish. As for heavy duty, I have had to add battens to them to strengthen them. My neighbour bought better quality panels for the same price from Wickes, just wish I had. Would not recommend.
On Wednesday evening i made order of decking, unfortunately just after processing my order I realised that one quantity was wrong, and also type of decking was wrong, it was meant to be standard decking instead of priceBuster. Next morning five past nine I called eDecs office to rectify problem, I had a brief conversation with Sean (I believe)He asked me if I wanted to cancel previous order which I agreed, then he said that we might be able to sort it out without voiding previous transaction. And I was told that someone will call me back with the result. 10 am someone rang and said that everything had been sorted out and he will have to make sure I will get the right order. Unfortunately except for the quantity I have still received the wrong type of decking, which is full of knots, chunks missing, knots falling out etc.
I have contacted customer service, to find out that collection of wrong decking and delivery of new supposedly higher grade decking, will commence at the beginning of the week.
Finally on 16 August 2011 I got an e-mail saying that decking will be delivered on friday 18th, that's six days after my original enquiry! The decking arrived had a good look and....... is absolutely awful! Again knots missing, chunks of timber missing awful, unfortunately my holiday is coming to the end so I'm stuck with it, I can't afford to wait another week to replace stuff. I am also still waiting for a refund for the difference between the two orders which is around £70. Could you please chase this up?
This is my first transaction with eDecks and I'm not impressed. I'm afraid it will be my last.
I'm definitely going to remove eDecks from my favourites list, and whoever is reading this my advice would be: stay away from eDecks!!!
I found edecks to be very helpful and the delivery was on time. I had some items missing (i.e. extra fittings for the handrails for the third side we had purchased). They sent them out and were with us the next day.
(6ft x 5ft HEAVY DUTY Vertilap Fence Panel) Very cheap for the quality!. These are great and very good quality. If you errect them with concreate posts and gravel boards, paint them with good quality timber care, them will not only look fantastic but will last alife time.
(4.8m x 4.8m Easy Deck Patio Kit (with handrails)). The quality of the wood is not so good. Quick grown pine, everything had bowed, some of the timbers were split. We could not use around 5% (We had 90 spindles) of the spindles because they were split or broke. There was not enough screws for all the timber even after the sent for the extra handrails.
With alot of time, effort & perseverance our decking looks fantastic. If you are on a budget and have the above then you will not getting decking at a better price. If you want something which is easier to errect then go for better timber (slow grown, pick your pieces by eye)
They delivered very late (website said 1-3 days, they delivered on the 7th working day). They offered me a goodwill gesture of £50 over 2 weeks ago and I still haven't received it. I was also received very off putting calls from different staff members, some non apologies and then calls of desperation about their reputation which made me uncomfortable. Also some of the joists are bowed.
I don't recommend this company at all I'm afraid, its a shame as their website is so good.
