I love the wooden toys and 'Happyland' ranges in ELC but I do find that I sometimes I can't find what I'm looking for and sometimes their prices are a bit high. Great for outdoor toys.
I ordered 3 xmas presents for my nieces and nephews on the 28th Nov. One item arrived a week later and as of today, 2nd Jan - the others have still not arrived. Have chased several times, was initially told there would not be a problem, items were all coming back into stock, high demand etc, then when it was too late to obtain the items anywhere else I was then told they would probably arrive after Christmas. It is now the 2nd January and still nothing. Am extremely upset as the children are only 2 and 3. All items showed stock when I ordered and I received confirmation email telling me that they would arrive between 4 and 7 days. WIll never use site again.
The slowest delivery ever! last year was exactly the same i should have learnt from last time but I ordered some items i was told i would receive 7 working days later, its been 11 working days and i still haven't received an email confirming a dispatch of my order, I contacted ELC who couldn't tell me why they hadn't been dispatched even tho they are in their warehouse, couldn't tell me when they will be dispatched, and that i will have to wait a further 7 working days when they are eventually dispatched, so frustrating. i would recommend their products, i wouldn't recommend their online store!
I love the ELC and so does my son, even though he's 5 now we still find ourselves sneaking in there now and again.
It's a bit pricey but that's generally reflected in the quality and they've got a huge range of appealing toys, both traditional and a bit more modern.
He's still got quite a few of the toys I bought for him years ago!
Great shop with clearly marked age and skill indicators for the products they sell targeted to the discerning pre-toddler, toddler or small one. I also like the fact that on their website you can set filters to disregard whether it's a girl or boy for whom you're browsing and possibly ultimately buying. The store I visit occasionally happens to get a little cluttered, but for its size displays a large variety. The staff are welcoming and without furrowed brow.
The products seems to be a little more expensive in ELC than other retailers. I ordered from ELC & explained i lived in a flat for my order to not be left anywhere, but when i got home they had said it was left outside my door, which of course wasn't there, why would you leave a big order outside someones door?! I guess this was down more to the delivery company than ELC itself but i did tell them before hand not to do so...They re-sent the items out without any problems!! Wouldn't say i wouldn't use them again as i prob would do, just hope the service will be better next time!!
i use to shop in the shore when we had one in our town centre but now it has gone this is a great way to shop online, my 5 yrs old neice realy likes thing from E.L.C. and i think that the toys and arts and crafts are the main thing she loves to play with and they are all worth there money.
my baby loves his rattles from elc he rarely puts them down. great quality.
some a tad overpriced but sometimes i feel your paying for the shear fact its elc.
I ordered toys for Christmas presents on 7th Dec 2010 the ELC website said 4 working days delivery. By 24th Dec still no show dispite chasing several times!! They finally showed up on 4th Jan 2011 - which was 5 days after I had cancelled the order!!!
My order has been missing for 11 days now. IMPOSIBLE to contact ELC! No Customer Service what so ever!!!!
