I ordered a Hotpoint washing machine in July and it was promptly delivered the next day by Electrical 123. I was kept informed when the delivery would be (free delivery too) and they were on time...which is always a bonus. Anyway, I used the machine about 10 times and there was a loud bang and an electrical burning smell. I called Electrical 123 and they organised an engineer directly with Hotpoint...that's where it went wrong. Hotpoint contacted me and cancelled the date (no engineers apparently) and then moved the inspection to the next day. On that day they called again and said they didn't have any engineers for another 2 days. I was really disappointed, and I told them so, as I have a large family and I had to use a launderette at a cost of £10 per wash! Hotpoint basically didn't care. I asked for a replacement machine as it was only about 6 weeks old (only used 10 times though, as I'd been on holiday). Because it was over 28 days they wouldn't replace without an inspection...rubbish! I contacted Electrial 123 again and let them know and they tried to escalate the issue with Hotpoint...to no avail. They called me back really quickly and the result was that they offered to replace the machine for me and delivered it the next day. I presume they will now have to take the duff machine issue up with Hotpoint but offered me a fantastic service as it's resolved the issue for me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company for any electrical goods in future.
