I have bought several laptops over the past years and have had no problems. Recently, well just before xmas last year, I thought I would try an i7 17" laptop as the old eyes are going a bit with age. I bought a Sony Vaio which arrived promptly and in looked to be in good condition, but in using it I quickly found that I could not bear it, as the fan was constantly changing in speed, even when the laptop was idle, and the sound just got on my nerves.
However, when I rang their helpdesk, I found that it was closed after xmas and there was no message to say when they would reopen. I tried for several days, between boxing day and New Year but again no response. Eventually, I got fed up and left negative feedback on their website. Someone then got back to me and said that Europc would re-open on 3rd Jan and someone would get in touch after that.
I rang them pretty promptly on 3rd Jan and asked for a refund and was given a return code and the laptop was picked up quickly with a refund 4 days later.
After a few weeks, I noticed that there was a large stock of Vostro 3750s and thought I would try one of these and ordered a pretty decently spec'd model. I was pretty happy with the speed and performance, but after using the laptop for a few hours, I noticed that the trim on the right side of the laptop, just above the dvd drive was starting to bulge out and came away from the body and looked really decrepid!. I pushed it back in but it came out again after a while!
I can't see how someone could 'hide' a blemish like this and not mention it in the description. Overall, I felt that their refurbishment process and quality control had gone a bit downhill and I decided that I would not buy 'refurbished' stock from them in the future.
Again, I spoke to them and asked for a refund. This was offered without any hesitation, which is a credit to Europc, but then over a week went by and there was no credit to my account. I then raised a dispute in Paypal and was offered a refund within a matter of hours.
So, I think overall, I would give them good points for giving refunds, even though it takes a while sometimes, but bad points for selling stuff that has problems that are not mentioned on the web site.
Perhaps I am being overly harsh, but I think when you are spending £650+ on laptops you expect something that is going to be in pretty good condition and it's disappointing when it's not!
I don't usually write reviews, but had to counter some of the bad feedback here. I've been using europc for my business machines for the last 7 years. Always been able to deal with the same representative and always had great service. When I bought my desktop I took it without OS and had problems with the BIOS settings. The support at europc was outstanding, their knowledge was superb and they even rang me back two hours later to make sure all was well.
The machines (desktop and laptop) I've bought are all Dell and come with 3 year on-site service. I've had to have the hinges on my 6300 replaced twice and both times they came to my office within a day and fixed the problem.
The last studio I worked for also used europc and we had no problems even when we returned units. They would send a courier and not even charge us for the shipping.
A great company that has always given me awesome service.
I was really thankful for the customer service. It was really a great experience. I recently had a problem with a laptop which was approaching the end of its warranty period. Europc dealt with it immediately returning it to me in good working order faster than I would have thought possible. I have bought several items from Europc over the last few years and have always been more than happy with their service. Thanks!
We bought quite a few Dell Latitude 13 laptops from Euro PC a year or so ago and a few have broke (not their fault, it's a common fault with the laptops).
Tried contacting Dell and was informed that the laptops weren't in my companies name, so our warranties weren't valid. I emailed EuroPC and within about 10 minutes I had a reply explaining that they would be in our name within an hour or two, and that we would be getting a call from Dell to sort this.
Also bought some HP Workstations from them, for our call centre agents, them being idiots they peeled some of the reg key stickers off the machines, again I emailed EuroPC and they replied within 30 minutes with the keys.
Customer service is good, always reply really quickly, I've got nothing bad to say about them.
I really appreciate how fast the customer service deal with my Dell PCs issues. I purchased laptops from them and I was really happy with the service. The delivery was incredibly fast. I have never purchase products online but their stuff were helpful and the experience was great. I would definitely recommend them.
I had never dealtl with an online computer shop but after this recommendation from my friend I have purchased my dell laptop from europc. They delivered in good time, their price are quite good as well. I am very impressed with the service I have received!
I will highly recommend them to my other friends also.
Great product service, thanks to europc team.
Recently I bought a dell precision t1600 from europc. The product delivery was very quick. They help me to setup it as well. Their customer care and technical support services are very good.
Thanks to europc for this friendly support
I have been shopping for Business hardware from Europc for many years and about 6 months ago bought from another Company. I have now come back to Europc and will never use another Company. The pricing and service from Europc is the best out there - trust me, I will never waste time shopping about again and just go straight to Europc.
Great team there - makes buying my hardware a pleasure. I can't recommend these guys enough.
I know they deal with many large businesses and schools but the way they look after the "small business person" is simply fantastic.
I never leave reviews, so it says something for me to take time out of my day to do this.
Keep up the good work guys !!
I have used this company over the years for my Desktop workstations needs. Every time I came to them, the service never change. It is always great and friendly. And what I really love about EuroPC is their incredibly fast service. You order today and that will be delivered same day or next day. And their customer service is amazing too and very helpful. So if you cant find what your looking for and cant decide, just call their dedicated business team for immediate help. Would highly recommend them!
EUROPCUK have spammed me many times, refuse to unsubscribe and can't even be bothered to find anyone to resolve the issue. Latest spam 19th June 2012.
No customer service. Nil.
If the start of my supposed business relationship starts like this, I'd hate to be in a situation where I needed after sales support if something went wrong.
SInce they spam me without me ever signing up to any of their mailing lists, they're breaking the law. I wouldn't wish to do business with law breakers.
I wouldn't want to sully myself dealing with a shady outfit that believe breaking the law is acceptable....
I wholeheartedly recommend avoid doing any business with this outfit until they learn to start operating legally.
This bunch of cowboys spammed me and added me to their mailing lists with without my consent.
And the spam didn't even include an unsubscribe option either! Sloppy bad practice.....
I object to being added to mailing lists without my consent. And for that reason they're on my blacklist NEVER TO USE.
I've used Europc occassionally over several years and would highly recommend them. There were a couple of issues with my latest purchase (a Sony laptop) which were immediately sorted out by them.
Will definitely continue to use them and recommend to others.
After experiencing an issue with a server tape drive, a call to Dell revealed that this was outside of warranty, despite the purchase through EuroPC being within 3 years.
Not only have EuroPC honoured the replacement, they have provided an updated model with double storage capacity.
Bought a refurbished laptop from them, which packed in quite quickly. Called, them, they checked for me and found that it's actually still on producer's warranty, so I had it fixed by Sony. I really can't complain, gret prices, great laptops, excellent service! Definitely recommended!
I was introduced to Euro PC by chance; I had no idea what to expect from their Technical support Team after I purchased my PC.
The level of technical support, customer care and services I have received from Joe and Neil whenever I call, has been Efficient, Efficient and EFFICIENT throughout. They are always Attentive, Patient, go the extra mile and really give good/supportive advice.
They excel in their jobs and do not fail to deliver on a promise. They are simply excellent; guess, I am not the first to complement them and will not be last.
Fact is, I have spread the word and have advice friends to purchase from Euro PC.
The Customer support staff are always great to deal with that includes David and Jo who I spoke to this afternoon to resolve a problem. The issue was solved in minutes and courier is picking up the laptop as returns. I have been buying from Europc for years and they are very competitive in their pricing.
I've had really friendly, supportive and professional support both times I called with EuroPC. Unfortunately the issue is still not solved, but hopefully Dell will do that for me. I would have been even happier if the laptop I bought from EuroPC would not have been faulty to start with...
Having been badly let down by another so-called 5* PC supplier, I have been pleasantly surprised by Caroline's prompt service and helpful manner. Would definitely would recommend EuroPC to anyone looking for a good deal.
Glen, Penrhyn-Lowe Associates Limited.
Carolyn at europc was very helpful. I have dealt with europc for years and it is nice to be able to speak someone on the phone rather than and received my new laptop before start of work next day. I have had several laptops from europc and have never had a problem with any of them. On this occasion I got a Dell e6450 at an unbelievable price and I am very happy with it.
We have also used europc for our business needs. Highly recommended.
I have a Dell Premier account, but sometimes need decent kit more quickly than Dell can supply it - I always turn to EuroPC, and they never fail to deliver quality Dell products (complete with Dell 3-yr NBD where specified) at excellent prices. The service from Caroline is always prompt and helpful, and their deliveries have been 100% reliable.
I've been using Europc for over 5 years - helping me in turn to fulfil the needs of my clients, who range from small companies and charitable organisations to medium-sized International companies. Europc take the time to tailor their suggestions to my needs. I guess they know me pretty well now. Reliable and uncompromising in their delivery and service.
I’ve been using EuroPC for the last 8 years, and probably bought over 50+ units ranging from small Laptops to Enterprise End Servers - all of which have functioned perfectly.
The Sales teams are extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with (my main contact being Caroline). Caroline has become accustomed over the years to our specific requirements and will always ensure we get the right equipment for the job.
I haven’t hesitated (and wouldn’t hesitate) in recommending EuroPC to anyone.
Have used Europc for many years to supply all our charity computers. Just bought a laptop for our project in Romania with the help of David Ross. As always wonderful and professional customer service, ensuring I bought the correct laptop for the job. Would highly recommend Europc.
I've been buying Dell PCs from EuroPC for over a year now and have bought about 40 or so units. Every one of these has been faultless, well packaged and delivered on time and as expected. Any slight problems we may have had with orders have been resolved instantly and we now source all our hardware from Europc.
Our account manager (Caroline) is exceptional, keeping in contact often enough to maintain and nurture the relationship whilst never hassling us and is a real credit to europc.
I ordered a battery charger on the 5th Feb which arrived on 7th I did not receive a tracking e-mail from Europc Ltd so I called their on line customer service department and spoke to Claire Neil who supplied the tracking link promptly she dealt with me in a professional and friendly manner have no complaints at all.
Ordered a laptop bag for my little girl. Site said 2 days delivery. Checked account after two days to discover it said pending. Spoke with customer services who said the item was out of stock (although on their website it STILL says its in stock)
Spoke to a manager called Mr Grief (yep thats his name), who assured me he would look into this order and arrange a Saturday delivery for me and email me back today to confirm it.
No email...... and I bet the item does not arrive tomorrow.
If i could give this company zero stars i would. They lie to customers and couldnt care less about them because they have so many. the individual touch is non existent.
All they do is lie to you and give you grief. And I dont mean Mr Grief.
I had to contact Europc customer service concerning an issue with an item. I deal with a lot of companies but Claire at Europc impressed me so much I have been moved to write this review. In this world today of productivity over substance I found Claire's warm friendly and above all down to earth response put me in a better frame of mind customer service in general. I work in service myself and it is so demotivating when companies train advisers against treating people as individuals, in a misguided attempt to save time and money. Thanks to Claire I only have good things to say about this company. Customer service is not a formula just a little kindness and common sense. I wish I worked for a company which eschews such trust and faith in the abilities of those in their employ. Thank you Claire.

I bought a dell from europc and an extended warranty (3 years).
The resolution of problems has been fantastic - which is exactly what you want when you buy a laptop, as even handling it the whole time with care as you move it around, they are subject to more wear and tear.
I got offers of guidance to self fix, if that's what worked best for me (which it did for smaller fixes - hard drive clone and swop), or a courier pick up at a time and place of my choosing - along with the options of dropping it back where ever and whenever - when it wasn't something I fancied doing (motherboard / screen).
I've always spoken to real people or had e mail correspondence with them - and have been able to follow up directly with one person, which is of course helpful. Having said that their system tracks the repair, so when I've spoken to other people, they've known the status of my laptop and been able to update me with an honest and informed reply (ie the fault, status of part and eta). Their follow up has been consistent and of great quality (first direct style).
And I've got my laptop back fixed and working.
I've got no hesitation in buying another laptop from them, with an extended warranty just in case, knowing that if I do have a problem they will sort it out.
Update 1st of June 2012
My last post was 18th of Jan. I'd just received my laptop back and it was all working. Unfortunately my lap top seems to have been "the one" that no one wants to buy (and no one would want to sell either, because it's had a succession of problems).
The screen failed. Then the motherboard (again). Then the mouse button (left) picked up a fault. Frankly I was ready to get a hammer to the thing - as it'd probably have been more use as a sculpture. And I was quite prepared for Europc to say that there was nothing more that they could or would do given how many times they'd seen it.
But to my surprise they kept on going. Arranging pick ups and drops offs at my convenience, fast turn arounds (ie fixed and returned the day it arrived) etc.. waiting weeks for the re pick up when it wasn't convenient for me to be without it (ie computer was walking wounded).
So the end result of all of this is that they've stood by the product they sold me and the warranty. They've been professional throughout the process.
I've updated my review, because while the laptop was obviously fatally flawed from the word go, if you are thinking of buying a computer you have no idea on what you will get (ie if it will be the duffer), you need to consider what support you will get if it does go wrong. Based on my experience, I can say that Europc will stand by their obligations and ensure that should you get that 1 in 1000 one, you will get the support needed to resolve the issues.
I know not every one on trust pilot has had a positive experience. I'm reposting because across an extended period of time and repeat problems, it's been entirely positive. Ie it wasn't a one off / luck that I hit the right person on the right day.
So maybe my experience offers a level of reassurance on what you can expect, because it's been a tough case, over an extended period of time?
I bought a tiny (6.5x2.4x1cm) USB card-reader for £2.50. They sent it in giant (27x22x8.5cm) foam-lined box. I asked for economy delivery, they sent it next day. The courier could not post it through the letter box and was not allowed to leave it with a neighbour. A card was left saying an attempt had been made to deliver a package but not saying who it was for with no mention of Europc as the sender or an order number. It was eventually delivered days later when, by chance, I was in when the courier made another attempt. When I fed back my experience to Europc by email their replies suggested they had not read or did not understand my feedback and attempted to blame the courier (even suggesting that I had been unlucky as the other couriesr they used would not have been a problem!).
In summary, they:
Don't know what they are doing
Don't know who they are (Northamber?)
Don't listen to feedback
I bought a fantastic bargain priced pc from europc. I've had a couple of issues over the years since I bought it (nearly 5 years ago now) and each time they have been EXTREMELY helpful. You get to speak to a real person each time! And each time they have resolved my issue over the phone at no cost to me.
Amazing service and I would HIGHLY recommend them.
