What a service, ordered the tablet I wanted, feeling very nervouse about putting in my credit card details plus friends and colleagues telling me horror stories about ording goods from the Internet and not receiving them etc, WELL, here is a good story.
Nervously I ordered my goods then went onto the Dreaded payment screen, no problem, very secure, I then waited with anticipation!
No problem got notified from Expansys about my goods at each stage of the process by email, excellent and my purchase came the next day, all I can say is USE Expansys you will not be disappointed.
Read lots of negative reviews for Expansys but ordered anyway with crossed fingers.
I have to say, my own experience was flawless. Delivery was quick and I kept receiving emails keeping me up-to-date with the progress of the order until delivery. Would definitely use again.
I was looking for a tablet for my wife's Christmas present and spent a great deal of time investigating the market place. I had a short list of tablets so continued to look for a reliable source and a fair deal on price. I settled for the Google Nexus 10 and researched the background of Expansys. I am not an impulsive shopper and in the past this ha worked against me and I have missed many a good deal. This time however I found Expansys to offer the best price for the Nexus and even better when I went to place my order I received a £30.00 discount. I was really pleased. Expansys kept me informed throughout and the tablet was delivered promptly. I couldn't have been happier. It was in good working order. Good outcome..
This consignment was marked as shipped on the 2/12/13 it still has not arrived can you please explain why ??
just to confirm that i have not received any courier cards through my door regarding attempted delivery,
this is my first time ordering from yourselves and may be my last if this problem is not rectified swiftly,
i will of course be expecting reimbursement of my postage cost's.
Heard some bad things about expansys but gave it a shot anyway and am truly happy with not only the rapid delivery service, but with the offers at bargain prices. I requested free standard delivery and got the item next day for free! Thanks
Initial transaction totally trouble free. Goods arrived well on time. How any faults or returns are dealt with, is a truer reflection of the company and therefore I can't comment any further.
Well I don't understand why people start shouting wrong about the company. My recent experience was quite good as I find them quite cooperative with prompt replies to all emails with good customer support. Whenever I emailed them with my queries , they replied quickly. Regarding some people's negative feedback, they should understand the exclusion of weekends in delivery time.
Overall, I would highly recommend them for any kind of shopping.
I ordered a Nexus 10 from Xpansys on 14th November. I actually cancelled an order I'd placed directly with Google to get the device from Xpansys because of the better price. Fair play to them it was delivered very quickly, but unfortunately the device was dead on arrival. On top of this I soon saw why there was a price difference - it was a non-UK device with a two prong plug in the box. They do supply an adapter, however I'm not sure how I stand on the warranty/maintenance front. I rang them and got a returns number and a returns form to go in the box, but I had to stump up the cost of the return - £12 with insurance. I also made sure it was signed for as well - just as well. The delivery to them was made on 19th Nov, but I heard nothing from them, so I rang to find out what was going on. As it turned out nothing at all. Once prompted to action they fired an email back saying that they weren't processing the return because I hadn't included the usb cable and adapter with the return - even though the adapter wasn't supplied by Google and nowhere on their website does it say that the item needs to be returned in a saleable condition when the return is a faulty item. I've asked them to just take the usb cable out of the box of the replacement if it's so important, but I have a sneaky feeling I'm going to have to pay yet again to return it. I'm still waiting for the replacement to be sorted almost 3 weeks after the original order, and it's costing a fortune in postage. I ordered from them in good faith - I needed the tablet quite urgently for a job I'm doing for a client - I'll not make the same mistake again.
Standard delivery was quoted as usually 2-5 working days. The reality was 10 working days in my case and Expansys were unconcerned until 14 working days had elapsed. Fortunately it never got to that stage but I would be very hesitant to use them again with standard delivery for anything I would not be prepared to wait an indeterminate time for.
watch out for expansys as they are real a-holes to deal with as I returned a pristine nexus 4 to them as they missold it to me as a UK model when it was not and they are claiming it was scratched when received at their warehouse.
absolutely terrible customer service as they don't answer emails and callcentre agents are only there to initially make the RMA process difficult and thereafter deny consumer rights legislation.
I believe they are attempting to defraud me. if you have to return anything to them take photos of the item with the date showing on it and the imei number on the screen of the device and on the box to protect yourselves
My order has been awaiting stock since 03/11/2013 7:37 PM and the date of this edited review is December 12, 2013. The only communications I have received from this company post order was this T. Rose fellow who publicly said that he wished to assist me, but in private email suggested that it would be dangerous to refer to this company as criminal. I have been waiting for a very long time, I deserve answers...NOW. I plan to put a great number of resources into spreading the word about this company, We look for new suppliers all of the time as this is part of our business, however...it makes sense to me that this company should be removed as any form of trusted entity.
Let me explain a little about my experience with Expansys.
On the 18th September i placed an order for a Sony Xperia Z1 smartphone which also included the Sony Smart Watch 2. On the 9th October i received my smart watch, also on the 9th October my Xperia Z1 smartphone developed a fault (vibration motor was very loud and screeching), so i initiated a return of the phone, as i cannot be without a phone i purchased another Xperia Z1 from Expansys that did not include the smart watch but i thought as i purchased another phone they could swap it over, so i returned the phone on the 17th October, on the 23rd of October i received an email from Richard Navarro-Montes saying they had received the phone but not the smart watch, i explained that i had purchased another Z1 and could they honour the sony smart watch on that order to which i was swiftly told that they needed the smart watch back to initiate the refund of the phone. 31st October and the watch was returned. 7th of November and still no refund so i emailed Richard Navarro-Montes explaining that i had returned the phone and watch etc, also sent 3 emails to Expansys to which no reply. 8th of November and received a reply saying that Richard will look into it. Basically after a few more emails had been sent between parties i was asked to call on the 11th of November as there was an issue. I rang customer services to be informed that the refund had been denied as the item was not pristine, which item was not pristine is still a mystery to this day but basically i lost it with the chap on the phone and told him to get Richard to ring me, did he? No chance!!! Now keep in mind that the phone and the watch had been used, the phone developed the fault so naturally they aint going to be pristine, i had even offered for them to deduct the smart watch from my refund but they were having none of it so thats why i returned the smart watch. On the 11th November i sent an email to Richard Navarro-Montes saying just return the F******* phone and watch as i had had enough, yes i lost it but this is £569 of my money and no goods. Today which is the 18th of November and i still have no refund or goods returned to me. I called Expansys customer services again today and was told i would get a phone call back in 30 minutes, as this happened? No. I am so frustrated that this company can act this way and not give 2 s**** about a customer who is £569 out of pocket, they do not respond to emails and they will treat you like a piece of rubbish once they have your money. My only option now is to contact the police and class this as theft. Well done Expansys for showing your true colours.
Anyone thinking of buying goods from this company should think twice, if your product is faulty then expect the same level of not giving a S***. Much better online retailers out there who have customer services that put Expansys to shame!!!!!
I rate them 1 star and this is only because you cannot rate them 0!!!
Just ordered and received a PDAIR leather belt case for my mobile phone and from start to finish it was one of the easiest online purchases I have made , so well done to all at Expansys.com.......other companies should take note and copy their example...........thank you............I will definitely be shopping with them in future.....................cheers.........John Muir
Checked out cover for iphone with built in charger as agift. Second one I've bought and absolute bargain. Never hesitate to buy from Expansys as items are always as described.
Ordered my NEXUS 4 (was informed that stock would be in, in 8 days ) although this 'expected date' went up and up in the following days! Got my phone after 14 days only to find that the ear-piece didn't work ( not expansys fault but the main function of a phone...right)
Sent back with all packaging as asked then had to wait 6 days whilst technicians at expansys confirmed the fault. Long time but fair enough. My real problem is that I was then told that I could not have my phone replaced by a similar Nexus 4 (16 Gb) as mine was a euro speck phone and the ones the expansys now had in stock were UK speck. I was completely unaware on buying of this speck (and believe me I checked the small-print)
EXPANSYS NOT ONCE IN THE LAST MONTH have YOU contacted ME. (No phone call or even E-mail)
I know I will get the usual copy and paste... (I have read your reviews) 'We are very disappointed with your expansys experience....'
I know there was a price difference in the 2 phones ( which I could have been persuaded to negotiate) but I have simply been offered a refund after buying a case £17.00, paying for returned recorded derive ry.£8.45 and all the unused credit lying on my new PAYGO SIM card here at my house.
Have incredibly been asked to call back next week..in 5 days, whilst expansys stock of this google phone (as online) dwindles away every day! I wonder, by next week if I will be told that the phone is now no longer in stock!
£204, 1 month, 10 calls ( from me, zero from you!) email ( including proof of my expenses) , no mobile, = ( In Expansys jargon) VERY, VERY POOR SERVICE!
Sorry readers for rattling- on abit... But this company have to give future customers more consideration and you should be made aware of what COULD HAPPEN TO YOU!
I INTEND TO KEEP YOU INFORMED......WATCH THIS SPACE,!
Chris. Uk customer.
Over 5 weeks now and have just received a refund. Do not send back faulty goods via PO. As you will end up paying, use the courier service even though it's a pain if you have a full time job or just don't like staying in waiting all day for them to turn up.
Service desk are polite but cannot do anything without managers say so , unfortunately these managers are never, and I mean never available!
I've notice the majority of 5 Star feedback is for the cheaper items (phone case type stuff) So if your buying this type of stuff Expansys seem fine. However I really would recommend going elsewhere for high end merchandise. I have NO TRUST IN THIS COMPANY.
TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THE PIE CHART GRAPH AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE (on the right) About a THIRD OF IT SHOWS ONLY 1 OR 2 STARS! THIS IS BAD NEWS, WOULD -BE CUSTOMERS!
This is MY 1st AND LAST EXPANSYS REVIEW !
IF YOU READ THIS AND STILL DECIDE TO BUY...........GOOD LUCK!!
Chris (UK EX-CUSTOMER)
I ordered a tablet, turned up next day didnt work. These things happen i was just unlucky. Contacted them to sort it out. Usual stuff at first , return paperwork, checks when it gets back to depot etc etc. Disappointing because it was for my sons birthday. However credit where it is due, after it being escalated to customer care senior manager Expansys knowing it was for a birthday have stepped outside their normal returns process, managed to get another tablet and are even ensuring it is delivered by courier. Cannot fault that customer service , all firms have things that go wrong that cant be helped but good firms are the ones that when it goes wrong that put it right and do the right thing even if it means going outside their own process. On this occasion Expansys have done this and there are not many firms that would do.
Therefore i would have to rate them highly and reccommend them to other purchasers.
I had bought this earpiece from Tesco sometime ago but eventually wore out, and Tesco did not stock it anymore, so found it on expansys. good delivery and earpiece just as good as last one. battery long lasting.
Ordered a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 from Expansys less than 48 hours ago and it arrived this morning.
Well packaged and with UK adapter plug
£40 cheaper than anywhere else.
Checked to see if item was working and appears fine, haven't fully tested as is a present for my wife.
Excellent Expansys, if you keep this service up I can see myself using your services a lot
