Poor, No real connection between stock level and implied availability on website.

I ordered a bike hoping to take advantage of the <12 noon same day dispatch service. 24hours later i didn't hear anything so contacted them.

Their response:
"Packing are having real trouble finding the green 60cm in the stores so I have tried to order you another one from Kinesis but unfortunately they are also out of stock.
They have more on the way but these are due in stock for January 2014.
The White and black are also out of stock but these will be available for 4th December.
Would you like to wait for this to come in, to swap to another colour, is there another item you would like or should we refund this item?"

I opted for a refund, however i noticed immediately following this communication that they changed their website to read:

"Warehouse stock delivery in 3-5 days"

Clearly they are misleading customers into spending money on the website when they do NOT have stock to fulfill orders, despite indicating as such. I politely suggested they might consider conducting a stock check and put those items they did not carry as out of stock. This they have not done.

    Dear Ben Curry,

    I am very sorry that this happened to you, as a result of your bike error I have actually ordered a stock take of the Kinesis Stock and this has been escalated to a full stock take.

    At this exact moment the item does show as in stock but in the next few days this will be corrected as soon as the stock take is complete.

    Please be aware that we do not offer a 12 noon same day dispatch on complete bikes as they need to be built in the workshop and require scheduling in, building and dispatch.
