Living in France we go back to UK often and always use Ferrysavers. We have never had a problem with their service and would recommend them to anyone.
I booked return car and 4 passengers Dover-Dunkirk, tempted by the offer of £10 off the fare and £20 voucher to use for on-board purchase. after booking, when couldn't see the £20 voucher, checked the terms and conditions again, and saw that offer only for a very limited period. i did feel rather mislead.
otherwise, booking very simple and reasonable price.
I booked our ferry booking, 24 hours later I called to add a my 16 yr old daughter to the booking. The additional cost of £84 included a £25 admin fee. The manor in which my call was handled was also lacking in the basic customer care principles. I would not recommend booking through a third party for a marginal discount to your ferry booking, book direct with the Ferry operator
I was very impressed with how easy to use the Ferrysavers website was.
I didn't need to go hunting for the best price - it gave it to me straight away.
Something I will definitely be using again the next time I need a ferry.
A completely clear process .......no fuss,no hidden extras.....what more do you need!
When Ferrysavers made a mistake in the costing of my booking, they were completely without apology. Obtuse and repetitive, bordering on the rude. Escalating a problem through the system to Supervisor level has no effect as they do not think in terms of Customer Service but rather in terms of protecting the team and not taking on any liability. Beware! You might get a cheap ferry crossing, but you won't receive any real service.
I made a booking yesterday from Hull to Rotterdam, returning the following day from Dunkerque to Dover. Because I was busy and in a rush I mistakenly booked a 4.00am crossing from Dunkerque instead of a 4.00pm crossing.
I immediately realised this on receipt of the confirmation and immediately rang Ferrysavers to explain mistake, the lady was very understanding, but after a phone call, she changed the booking but charged me £25
I suspect the original booking had not been placed on the system so the £25 was unreasonable
I went to Ferrysaver link sent to me on my email. I booked a Ferry on the link with MyFerry but I could not find the place where I could put my dog on the booking. If I had gone direct to MyFerry website there is a box to tick to book a pet but not on Ferrysavers booking form. I now have to ring MyFerry to add my pet to my booking. This happened last year as well. Could you please let me know how to book a pet woth Ferrysavers website.
I've been using ferrysavers for years now, and I must say that it does the job - I book the ferry, sometimes get a very good price and all is fine.
I would like it even more if:
1. The search would be quicker - I use the compare mode and that's consistently slow.
2. One could cancel the booking online. Plans of mice and men and all that - things do happen ..
booked a ticket with them, was issued a'wrong one' which PO did not accept. refunded £5 out of £30 fee telling me they are so good, in the meantime PO ferries charged extortionate fees as claimed ticket sold by Ferrysavers not valid.
Website not clear, lets you book a ticket with the right vehicle make and dimensions and then issues with a ticket that is INVALID and WRONG. They then do not want to take any responsibility for their useless website that clearly is not fit for purpose
AVOID like plague
Inexpensive access to leading operators - this time P and O. Their website was easy to navigate and didn't make claims or offers that didn't exist - unlike wholly unreliable operators and agents such as myferry.
I had no hesitation in using ferrysavers this time and shall inevitably using them again in the near future.
The ferrysavers site is my goto site for cross-channel bookings. It's so useful to be able to compare all of the different options at a click and easily check if changing the time of the crossing will be economical.
this page is really useful. Very easy to handle, shows instant results, easy to change the options. and the booking itself is very user-friendly as well as the communication after the purchase. will use it again every time when booking a ferry trip to the UK!!!
Please make more visible and acceptable font size for date and time of booking. It is bad when you find out another date that you wanted.
Dover - Calais return booking with minimum of fuss and information input required. However, debit card fee of £1.00 is not mentioned until the end of the process (should there be a fee at all for debit cards?). Mustn't grumble tho, P&O £38.00 return for car and 3 passengers is still a bargain.
Bonus of option to book hotel at destination. Took me to another well designed site. Trip sorted in very little time with both crossing and hotel booking confirmed within minutes.
I don't think that travel planning can get much easier than this.
Booking process is easy to understand and price is very competitive. Excellent website. Only downside is the relatively high charge for using a credit card - would have given 5 stars but for this.
Always a good site to check prices and options, and particularly useful if you want to travel out by one route and return by another, with a different operator. One booking takes care of both journeys.
Having navigated the site and got to the purchase screens it confirmed 3 and not the 4 seats requested. it did this on 2 occasions, so it wasn't 'pilot error'.
also, when looking for quotes it returned a route/ time that when i went to book it didnt actually exist for that operator
basic errors that should be resolved during testing
I'd visited a number of sites, then stumbled upon this. Can't have been too far up the search listings, but it should be. Booking was quick and easy. I'd been looking at a different outward and return route, so leaving from the south of England and returning to the North different sailings, different companies, but seamless transaction. The total cost was displayed upfront for both legs of the journey and I swear it was cheaper (a couple of quid maybe) than the searches turned up by other sites. Will definitely use this one again for my next crossing to Europe.
it's so easy to make a booking.confirmation of details is virtually immediate.
we had to alter booking details recently, staff were very friendly and helpful and the changes were sorted easily.
The previous service Rosyth to Zeebrugge looked as if it was well used on the times that I used it.How come Scotland is always left out?
