Second order, great prices, fast despatch but most of all great codfee
Usually I'm only interested in the real thing, no matter how many colas you buy they never taste like the real thing ....... Well you can keep overpaying for espresso capsules or get the se thing for a fraction of the price. Fine coffee club are a five star organisation, go on give them a try!!!

N'espresso this is not
There is clearly a gap in the market for a rival N'espresso product which is compatible with their machines. Alas, this isn't filling it. The whole experience is average - the bulky packaging, the smell when you open the small satchets that contain the pods, the aroma and then finally the coffee. Awful. You have to use multiple pods to get close to the right strength and even then the flavour is poor. N'espresso may be more expensive but not by much and the difference is more than justified. Disappointing.

not as confusing as nespresso site, enough choice for most people I would think, prompt delivery, no issues. The product is also good.

Capsules don't work well with my Nespresso Machine
I'm sure the coffee is of high quality, and the company were very quick to dispatch and deliver. However, the capsules just don't work properly in my Nespresso machine. I have a Pixie machine. The water seems to get "backed up" and very little comes into the cup, often just dripping. Some capsules the machine just gives up and stops, other times it will continue trying - often having to wait over a minute to complete.
If I instead use an "official" capsule, then all works fine, so I know it's not my machine (which is less than a month old).
They seem to have a good returns policy, so I will be trying to send them back. Would recommend trying just a small order to see if they work with your machine first, before buying loads like I did!

High Hopes Not Fulfilled
Sadly our experiences with the Fine Coffee Club capsules have been disappointing. For the record, the capsules although the same size as the Nespresso ones are packaged in such a way as they take up much more space. We also noticed that there is no best before date on the boxes again unlike Nesp. We bought several different flavours but the performance of them all gave similar problems. The plastic capsules fitted our Nespresso machine easily but frequently it failed to pump the water through the capsule, the flow steadily reducing until the machine cut out. This also happened with a friend's machine almost new machine. Neither of us has had any trouble with the Nesp capsules. I now routinely make multiple perforations with a thin metal skewer in both ends of the capsules and flow is OK. Sadly the flavour is not as good as that of the Nesp range. Unlike Nesp coffee, FCC coffee is in contact with the air contained within the outer packaging. OK, this is a small volume but I do wonder how much of a difference it makes. Neither the aroma, the crema or the coffee flavour come up to the standard of the Nespresso equivalent. We have taken to using two capsules rather than one so as to get a decent cup, though of course this negates any price advantage over Nesp. I'm very sad to be giving such a poor opinion as I would much rather not buy from multinational companies, but i think we shall be reverting to Nespresso Capsules when our present FCC ones are finished.

Good,but realy need to make these products cheaper.
Not as good as the real mcoy ! Should we be paying these prices ? Water flow very slow and requires 2 pods for a decent coffee so not realy cost effective ! A response would be welcome.

The only way we could cut the price further would be to switch to cheaper coffee beans. I suppose we could look at an economy coffee but it's not something people have been generally asking for.
The water flow rate is mainly down to the grind: if we grind the coffee finely then the water is slow but the coffee is stronger, if we grind more coarsely then the water is faster but the coffee is weaker. It's tricky to get it exactly right.
We keep improving the capsules based on the comments and feedback customers so thank you for taking the time to review us and I'm sorry you've not been delighted with our coffee.

Excellent but limited range.
We are enjoying the coffee very much but find the packaging rather bulky. As Nespresso users we take coffee capsules to our homes in Spain and South Africa. The way fine coffee capsules are packed will make this rather difficult.

Promising launch................!!
Two pods ( Intense Espresso) and it begins to give the coffee taste I was looking for. However , this negates the better pricing per shot against Nespresso Ristretto. Maybe a higher barrier packaging would help retain the flavour , one of the advantages of the aluminium capsules used by Nespresso.
Having said that , I am enjoying them , will certainly buy again and it is good that there is now an alternative compatible option for my espresso machine.

Good product, shame about the customer services experience.
Poor experience with customer services, raised point that 20% advertised discount hadnt been applied & sent two examples of proof, felt like a liar trying to prove my point, didnt get any help from CS who continued to make excuses.
On plus side the product arrived on time & whilst i trialled several samples & have clear favourite i wont re visit this site & will pay the extra pennies in future.

Our pricing is at least 20% lower than the main site and always will be.
We've changed the way that we show this; we used to sell our capsules at 29p and then show a 20% deduction but this confused people. So what we do now is sell the capsules at 23p. This is slightly cheaper than our original offer.

Super packaging
The coffee is fine no pun intended we are getting used to it, we will probably alternate between Nesspresso & yourselves we are experiencing flow problems wth the capsule but nothing major however there seems to be quite a lot of coffee in the packaging.

Fantastic coffee, as good as nespresso!!!
Love my nespresso and we go through a lot of coffee which adds up!! So thought I'd browse the Internet to see if I could get it cheaper. I found The Fine Coffee clubs prices very reasonable so thought I'd give them a shot! I was amazed at how quickly they delivered and really impressed with the quality of the coffee. The purchase experience was good - the coffee was not
I'm not sure whether you are requesting a review of the website, the purchasing experience or the coffee. The first two were fine and if that is your purpose then stop reading now. The coffee was a real disappointment. This is a direct competitor to nesspresso pods and they don't measure up on any scale. The look and feel is substandard. The fact that the pods are not airtight leads to additional packaging which makes storage less satisfactory. The coffee itself is a disappointment. In particular, the decaffeinated is like dishwater if taken lungo - it needs two pods to match one nesspresso decaf lungo, which more than offsets the 20% price saving. We won't be purchasing from the fine coffee club again!
