My first purchase from The Fine Coffee Club was a while back when they first started, I found them by searching for an alternative to Nespresso capsules, the main reason for this was to save money, I placed my order which arrived quite quickly, and included a selection of coffees, I was really disappointed upon opening my package, as all the coffees were enclosed in small foil parcels, which once opened, the coffee started to go off and lose it's taste quite soon after opening, the reason for this was the seal over the capsule was just like a cling film with holes in, also coffee would spill out from these holes as evident in each of the foil parcels, I contacted TFCC who confirmed that the coffee does age once the parcel has been opened, also, this prevented me from displaying my capsules on my stand.
They also only had a very limited range of coffees too which didn't taste all that good.
However, I recently checked on their website, and found that they have now had a bit of a make over, and launched a new up to date range of coffees in various strengths, and improved the capsules by making the seal now in foil, so they can be displayed and stay fresh, they have even copied Nespresso and now package them in sleeves, it's a shame that their capsules are still made out of plastic which I find tend to stick in my machine when I operate the eject lever, I have to push a finger down to work it out to the waste tray.
As for the comparing of the coffees, I made a Nespresso coffee using the same strength and method, and then a FCC one, and found that I preferred the original Nespresso for taste, the new Coffee Club coffees aren't that bad, certainly better than they used to be, but I think Nespresso just have the edge on the taste, it works out for me a cost of £6.00 more per 100 of my favourite coffee from Nespresso, at the end of the day you have to weigh up taste verses cost and go with that.
Firstly I don't think the coffee is anywhere near as good as Nespresso. But even worse, the capsules are really tough and my Nespresso Citiz struggles to pierce them resulting in the flow of water spluttering or not working at all. I have therefore wasted my money buying them from here and do not recommend.
I was a bit sceptical about ordering coffee that was not original Nespresso but I can say honestly that the coffee I bought from the Fine Coffee Club was really nice.
Customer service was exceptional and am thankful to the team for making on=line shopping a personable experience!
I will definitely buy again and would recommend to others.
I was very pleasantly surprised when I tasted the coffee as capsules that are compatible with Nespresso are usually nothing like the quality of these ones.
Sometimes the capsules do 'slip' down in the machine but they do work if they are retrieved and put in carefully.
Ordering is easy and delivery very prompt
Ordering on line was simple and straightforward. Order arrived within a couple of days and the coffee is just great. The price is nearly half what I was paying for a branded name, so I will be returning to this company again. Well done from a happy coffee lover.
Fantastic service and prices, unfortunately the capsules did not correctly fit my Magimix machine although the website said Magimix!!!
I was able with a bit of fiddling to make a cup of coffee but it was compared with Nespresso very weak and insipid, maybe because of the capsule fit and some leaking.
Would love to try again when the capsules fit, my machine is a Magimix M190
The capsules did not fit in my Nespresso Machine.
Tried several types of capsules and I opened 3 boxes - because of that, I paid for two whole boxes despite of using just one capsule of each box
The plastic capsule is not very good for all Nespresso machines. I have several models for some it is OK for others not so. The taste is simply not up to Nespresso. I prefer the taste and would rather drink lesser coffee than to compromise on this. That resumes my appreciation. The service is good, price interesting taste not at all up to Nespresso.
I was really pleased with the service. I had trouble with the plastic pods in my machine but the coffee I did mange to try was delicious. The customer service was also excellent and quickly dealt with my refund. I'll certainly order again if they change to aluminium pods.
First time customer of Fine Coffee Club and I'm pleased to say that the low price does not impact on the quality of the product of service. Admittedly, the selection is not as varied as Nespresso so I imagine I will stock up on both in future. Definitely recommend.
I'd never been a coffee fan until my other half got a Nespresso machine last Xmas! I especially liked the Roma latte and a couple others but we found it was getting expensive now I was drinking them also. I had a look online and we decided to go for Fine Coffee Club and being in Edinburgh was a plus to support them and we saved nearly a tenner..BUT...
I'm no coffee expert but I said to my other half the coffee all taste VERY similar and she agreed. I never liked coffee years ago for a reason, I'd only ever had it from a jar ie Nescafé and Fine Coffee Club coffee brought back that memory! It's just very bland compared to the original capsules, if you blindfolded me I couldn't tell you the difference between the FCC capsule varieties.
You buy a nice coffee machine for a reason, to have nice coffee at home and save money on Starbucks etc. Yes you save nearly a tenner but your back to just 'normal' tasting coffee. When you drink original Nespresso Roma for instance it's full of flavour and feels 'luxurious'.
Don't waste your money if you really want FINE coffee.
I was very disappointed with the capsules I received because they didn't fit into my machine without forcing it and, even then, what emerged was coffee tinted with a hint of coffee rather than a cup of coffee. The capsules were so unsuitable that I had to return them and ask for a refund. I suggest the Fine Coffee Club should concentrate on improving the capsules so that they will fit into a Nepresso machine. In the meantime I shall continue to order my capsules from Nespresso. They only work out at 4p more than the inferior ones available from the Fine Coffee Club so it's not worth taking the risk and genuine Nespresso coffee is gorgeous.
simple, we decided to try a cheaper alternative to nespresso, and it just doesnt taste as good. Its weak , the flavour is shallow and we won't do it again.

I am now on my 2nd order of 100 capsules used in my Krups Pixie coffee machine.
My order is a mix of all the different varieties of coffee and so far I think they are all very nice.
I have had no problems at all with the capsules fitting in my machine and the coffee is extracted perfectly each time. It is slightly harder to close the machine with the capsule in place and you need to make sure it clicks closed.
All my orders have been delivered correctly and within a few days of placing my order.
At this stage I will definately continue using these capsules.
I have already send a review to you and you have agreed to refund the cost of the order which I returned!! Please take me off your list as your coffee is not of the same standard as Nespresso and the capsules don't fit in my machine without far too much leverage which is likely to break the lever.

Good service, good price, reliable, staff contact efficient.
Coffee quality average, some difficulty using capsules in Nespresso machine.
No Lungo choice of capsule !!!
The coffee hasn't the same flavour or strength as N espresso also it is difficult putting it through the machine at times. Although it is cheaper than Nespresso I will be buying Nespresso in future

First time I've used The Fine Coffee Club, and after a few hiccups I am relatively satisfied with the product. I had a few capsules that dropped right through my Nespresso machine, but this has not reoccurred so I'm assuming (hoping) that this was a one off. Flavour is obviously a matter of taste, and personally I cannot tell the difference between Fine Coffee Club and Nespresso (apart from the price). Wished Fine Coffee provided more Lungo capsules - maybe this will be addressed in future. Will certainly utilise FCC again.
Great value, great service, great coffee.

If you're not completely happy for any reason you can return your coffee for a full refund as long as you have not used more than three capsules (more than three and we will deduct the capsules used from your refund). If you are in the UK all you need to do is login to our website and print out a returns label which will let you post the coffee back to us free of charge.
