I have used FireProtectionOnline three times and on each occasion my order has been delivered on time using the excellent Interlink tracked delivery system and all the items have been in perfect undamaged condition. When I found that one item would not fit an extinguisher correctly, I 'phoned them (something you can't do with some internet companies), they investigated the problem and a replacement item (more expensive than the original) was sent immediately ie, the next day and without any charge! An excellent company to deal with. Don't waste your time trying other companies - these guys are the best!
1. Ensure your sales person has stock availability to hand. It is very annoying and extremely inconvenient to find out later that there is a delay in promised delivery.
2. Agree means of communication with the buyer, Just because you ask for all telephone and email details does not give you the right to select the means of communication particularly if you start off on one means and then switch to another.
3. On the plus side the parcel tracking system was very useful as I did not hear the door and the system let me know the parcel had been left as requested (in my absence).
I found the information and guidance on the website really valuable in helping me to decide what products to choose. In addition, I can't fault the customer service, as ordering was easy and the products arrived the next day and were exactly as expected.
I ordered a bottle of fire retardent spray from FireProtectionOnline.co.uk and they said what day it would be delivered and gave a 1 hour time slot,and they were spot on,and the product works too.......
Previous experience with this company was absolutely excellent. Would have recommended them without hesitation, but now I'm not so sure.
Web site said it was "in stock", but on placing the order I was told that they were out of stock but expected in a day or so. OK (just), Place order, card charged. Later that day, web site still shows "in stock", and still showing it the following day when I got the inevitable "we've been let down and it will be even longer" phone call. It also appears that "in stock" means not only that it is in stock, but also includes "we might have it in stock soon if everything goes to plan". Define "soon" to suit the telesales person and the immediate circumstances.
For an order placed before 2pm on Wednesday, I am now expecting delivery the following Tuesday. What price the guarantee to deliver next day for orders placed before 2pm? After all, that was one of the reasons I bought from them. Oh, and the web page STILL shows "in stock". No offer of any recompense for failing to meet the next day delivery "guarantee", just an invitation to cancel if I wasn't happy.
As I have not yet received the items, I am unable to make any comment on suitability, quality or even final date of delivery.
We waited in all day for our ladder to be delivered and was told to phone ay 9pm as delivery could be up to this time. On calling at 9pm there was a recorded message to say the office was closed. oh well!!! We received our purchase next day at 3pm. Dealing with Fire Protection on line was perfect but delivery needs to be addressed .My purchase is excellent.
The most impressive part was the good communication regarding the expected delivery date and time. First a date was given and then a time. It was unfortunate that the time of delivery wasn't communicated until the morning of the delivery but even this was still a lot better than I have experienced with other companies.
