We bought a bunk bed and mattresses. There was some confusion about delivery of the mattresses, which were delivered separately direct from the manufacturer and a couple of days later. This was not clear from the emails. The bunk beds were relatively easy to construct, everything fitted neatly and tightly, but the instructions could have more clearly pointed out differences between ladder side rails and the others.
One main problem was that the slats on which the mattress lies had been packed whilst damp, or had been wetted, they were stained with mould and a bit smelly, hopefully this smell will fade over time. Our grandchildren love them, and the value for money was good.
From the start I felt well looked after, advised of stock with a phone call and kept up to date on the order. Delivery was fast and free, next day courier.
Very good online merchant would highly recommended.
I saw the item I wanted on the First Furniture website. I ordered it on line and specified a preferred date for delivery. The order was confirmed immediately by e-mail and the day before the delivery date I received another e-mail to say it had been shipped and quoting the delivery company's tracking number. The item arrive on the due date and the product is exactly as I had anticipated. In summary there were no problems.
I recently purchased an Akita extending table, which arrived on time. When it was unpacked and assembled I noticed one of the legs had sustained damage (probably at the manufacturing point). I notified first furniture who requested that I send in photos of the damage so they could let their supplier know. Shortly after having done so I received a call advising that a replacement table would be sent out immediately form the factory. This was delivered together with four matching chairs. I then had time to replace the damaged leg before contacting first furniture re the collection of old table.
The quality of all of the items is great and seriously better than I had hoped. First furniture promptly addressed my problem, kept me informed all along by phone, email and text.

Unfortunately I've still not received my bed as it is out of stock. Bit disappointing as when I ordered it there was no indication of that. It is only after following it up with a telephone call myself that I discovered I wouldn't be receiving it for at least another two weeks! So sadly I am still sleeping on the floor.
I ordered a bed frame from them, and it was delivered soon after. They called me to arrange a delivery date, which I appreciated, and sure enough it showed up that day.
The bed was very slightly damaged in one place (quite minor), but they arranged for a small replacement part to be sent by the supplier... I wasn't holding my breath, but sure enough it very soon showed up in the post. So overall I was impressed, and would buy from them again.
I've been trying to track my order on line but all it says is that it has been shipped.
I've phoned and been promised a call back, but this hasn't happened.

After searching for quite some time on the internet I found the site for First Furniture.
At last I found my perfect lamp table. The site was easy to use and my item arrived within days. I was informed when my table was in transit and again when the driver was an hour away.
I would most certainly recommend this company.
Ist Furniture were quick to contact me after I'd only been browsing their website,. They were then quick to take my order and quick to take my money but ...slow to make delivery and did not respond to two messages I put on their website asking for the delivery date. Their web site says 10 to 14 working days for delivery but their sales rep told me 7 to 10 days as they were changing their deliverer. After waiting 13 working days or 19 calendar days for a mirror only (and making one phone call, sending 2 messages -no answer- and an e mail asking about the delay and delivery date) I called again on 19th calendar date to be told it would be delivered on Friday - some 17 calendar days or 23 calendar days after taking my order/money. By this time I had lost confidence and asked for my money to be refunded. It was refunded promptly. Other suppliers are much more efficent at supplying and more responsive to requests for delivery dates. I wil not seek any further furniture from this company.

I ordered a bed that was delivered free of charge on the day I asked. Easy to put together took about 30 mins and looks just like the picture I would definitely look to order from this company again when the time comes very happy customer
I ordered a table from this company and within a couple of days they'd called me to ask what day I'd prefer delivery - I knew this was a good start. On the delivery day the driver called me to say he was 15 min away and delivered this table into the very room I wanted it in. I was really pleased with my ordering experience from start to finish. It was straightforward, efficient and well executed. No drama and I love my new table!
This was without a doubt one of the easiest transactions I have ever made...From the first phone call to delivery was completely uncomplicated and stress free..I cannot recommend First furniture highly enough.
I was a little sceptical having seen reviews showing that some people had had a negative experience. To be honest they were the cheapest, they delivered my bed within 2 days in accordance with my preferred delivery instructions. All goods exactly as described and in good condition. My experience was extremely positive.
The website was very aesthetically pleasing and easy to purchase the goods. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The money was taken out of my account very promptly and an email was delivered to confirm purchase and delivery date. However, after four different delivery dates and waiting in all day each time I am still awaiting the delivery of my goods. I have been informed the delay is due to technical difficulties at the couriers as they do not have a van large enough. I find it extraordinary that a courier company should not have a van large enough to deliver a lamp table and a small sideboard which could easily fit in the back of an estate car. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of the furniture company to ensure they use a competent courier service as ultimately it is them who have provided the service and taken the money. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
I was initially very pleased with how fast I have received my order but when I contacted First Furniture (on two occasions) to inform them that I had received the wrong colour and wished to return the item as it did not match my expectations, they went completely silent on me. Not a single call nor email from them despite their 30 days return policy which might have been put there just for shows.
It is a real shame as I felt they were a serious business who I was looking forward to buying from again in the future but instead I will be telling as many people as I can to stay away and not to trust them
I bought items over £2,000/- on 22nd September. I enquired about an extra item to match what I bought and never received a reply. I sent a reminder, no reply.
I ordered a display unit, I paid 300 I was asked what day I would prefer delivery. I was still waiting two weeks later and phone to find out that there was none in stock. No one knew what was going on. Was then told I could have it in 3 weeks. This just isn't acceptable and then it took a few days before the money was refunded into my account. All I got was "we are really sorry" and that was it. Would recommend people to stay away as I have been left out of pocket as I took days off work to stay in and wait for the delivery, for a company that didn't seem too bothered about the problems.
Ordered kitchen and garden furniture from this company and rather than wait for all the items to arrive they took the trouble to ring me and ask me if it was OK to ship the order in multiple parts. All arrived quickly in good order.
Would buy again from first Furniture as I really rate good communication as one of the most effective customer service tools available and they kept in touch excellently.
excellent helpful telephone sales and promt delivery. The bed was missing a part and when I phoned up it was dealt with immediately & part arrived 48hr later as promised. Bed also nice!
My new massage recliner is so comfortable, everyone in the house fights over who is sitting on it! The instructions were clear which made assembly straight forward, especially for a family who hates to build things. I get lots of cuddles from my toddler on it who wants to snuggle up with me while getting a massage, more cuddles to come with the arrival of our new baby this month.
I ordered my table on 30th September 2013. As of today, Saturday 12 October, I still haven't heard from First Furniture about the progress of my order. I emailed them a few days ago and I was told I would hear something before the end of the week (yesterday) but I haven't heard from them. Their web site says this order should take up to 14 working days to dispatch, but 17 working days have now passed and 21 days since I first placed the order. It's only a table, nothing special. I would not recommend First Furniture to anyone. Go somewhere else.
Ordered 2 headboards but told out of stock and did not know when they would be available. I was sent an email asking me to choose an alternative even though I had emailed them and rang them stating I wanted a refund as I had to get them from another company. I sent emails and phoned saying I had not had a refund as promised by them. I even rang sage pay who took the payment out and was told it was first furniture who had not requested a refund. This had gone on for 3 weeks and eventually got a refund after an angry email from me again. The payment is taken as you order but it's like getting blood from a stone for a refund.
Not enought tools to assemble and some of the hole in wood is in right place so very hard to assemble
I asked for the items to be delivered any day except Friday. Half of the items were delivered on a Friday and needed to be left with a neighbor. Since they were heavy and bulky this caused considerable inconvenience both to my neighbor and myself. The second part of the delivery was made a few days later. No communication was made to tell me if and when the second part would be delivered. Minor parts were missing from the delivery and have been waiting several weeks for a resolution to this issue.
I originally ordered a pre-assembled wardrobe and was really pleased to receive an email telling me the wardrobe would be delivered within 3 days.
On the day it was due to arrive I received a call from Mr Ali telling me that the wardrobe would be delivered flat packed instead. I was not at all happy about this and Mr Ali said that he would see what he could do. He called back in 30 mins and arranged for the wardrobe to be built and delivered in reasonable time.
The wardrobe arrived well packaged and was in perfect condition. So it all worked out well in the end.
I bought a kingsize wooden bed for £166, thinking that it was going to be a bit flimsy because it was so cheap compare to others I've seen on the internet/in stores. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the bed and was very impressed with how thick and sturdy the bed is. Also on the Thursday I requested for the bed to be delivered on a Monday expecting it to be delivered in 11 days, and it was delivered on the first Monday available (4 days from ordering including weekend)
Having worked in upmarket contract furnishings most of my working life and now
retired my wife and were dubious about ordering furniture online but our worries were unfounded the furniture arrived in prefect condition within the time advised.
There was a bit of assembly required but nothing too complicated.
As we had no problems we cannot comment on after sales service.
With our experience of First Furniture we would have no hesitation in recommending them.
