Never had such a bad flight even with delays until now

I've flown a reasonable amount of times in my life but never have I boarded a plane where the staff was sat at the back chatting, giggling and eating crisps the whole flight except for emergency talk, checks and refreshments cart. This would be heard all across the plane and despite it being a new years day flight and there being many empty seats, I would not have expected it to be so to speak 'casual' working environment. I was travelling from Birmingham to Edinburgh and next time I would most likely go with a different company with more professional staff.

Flybe

The Baggage Jackpot: lost on the way out, damaged on the way back & Flybe didn't give a toss!

My New Year’s resolution is NEVER TO FLY WITH FLYBE AGAIN! I wrote to the CEO explaining how Flybe losing my luggage for 36 hours on the outward leg of a weekend trip to Cheltenham Literature Festival on Oct 5 had completely screwed up my plans and prevented me from attending the festival (on the first weekend I’d had off after working non-stop 7/7 in India and Kenya for a few months). Didn’t hear a dickie bird. On the return leg Flybe damaged my baggage. I had to go to the official dealer myself, who of course then sent me elsewhere for the repairs. Three return trips across Paris, all requiring an afternoon off, all at MY expense. Flybe will only cover the cost of the actual repair! UNBELIEVABLE. They are so miserly, they won’t even cover the cost of public transport to effect the repair that their shoddy service made necessary. So, to recap, FLYBE completely ruined the weekend, making the actual trip pointless and then they break my baggage and I’m the one who has extra time, trouble and costs putting THEIR mistake right. You’d think they’d make some form of commercial gesture and at least refund the transport costs associated with the repair, wouldn’t you? Whoever they’ve got running PR should be sacked. Why would I ever want to travel with Flybe again? Oh! That’s right. I don’t! Since October I’ve travelled to the UK four times, each time with EUROSTAR. I heartily recommend anybody considering traveling between France and UK with Flybe to think again.

Flybe

Worst Organised Company

Horrible to deal with when you have a problem and their incompetent staff are a nightmare!

Flybe

Used for the day

Used for the day to get from place-to place. Very punctual throughout the whole period.

Tops

I fly to other countries on a regular basis and you're the cheap flight company I love the best, no charge for debit card payment. Plenty of leg room and you don't feel like your sat on the person next to you lap. I will always choose flybe over other cheap no frills airlines unless you have no seats left,

OTTIMO

Ho fatto diversi voli con fly-be e mi sono trovata sempre bene. Lo consiglio per i prezzi convenienti e per il servizio a bordo gentile e accurato:

Flybe

Disappointed

Very disappointed - there are several Flybe web sites and prices vary. The tickets I wanted were priced at £12 cheaper each person each leg of journey but not available at purchase. No one is prepared to deal with our complaint in an efficient manner.Flybe say there is only one price at checkout but how can you tell. Have to use them as we are on an Island and they are the only carrier if we have to fly to mainland.

Flybe

Flybe

I have always found flybe to be fab and use them to get from Gatwick to Bergerac. The hosties from Manchester are delightful, the plane is always clean and leg rooms not too bad. Nearly as good as BA and far better than 'no frills' airlines such as Ryanair!

Also, I love the fact their planes have propellers ... as I am able to make believe there's a slim chance we could glide down to earth in event of engine failure! :O)

Flybe

Couldn't be more helpful and friendly

We somehow managed to lose our puppy during the transfer from the Manchester flight to the Kirkwall flight at Aberdeen. This was due to Servisair being completely useless and Flybe staff came to our rescue found the dog immediately and one of the desk staff drove me to the warehouse in her own time to fetch my puppy.
Absolutely wonderful staff at Aberdeen. Would recommend them to anyone.

Flybe

I have to put my small case under the seat

First of all a stewardess asked me to put my small case into a frame to make sure it was the correct size - which it was. Then on the plane the lockers are so small I had to put my case on the floor under the seat in front. These propellor planes are not great, plus if there is any turbulence they are all over the place.

Flybe

The rip off experts

The flight from Birmingham to Edinburgh was fine - friendly airport & cabin staff, comfortable aircraft.
The REAL problem is with Flybe's own and their contractor staff at Edinburgh.
Firstly their cabin baggage allowance is 10% smaller than everyone else's, BUT they don't make that clear (use VERY small print). Then they let you fly north with the bag, but on the way back they want to charge you because they want to put it in the hold. Inconsistent, an exit from Scotland tax, or just Edinburgh staff incentivised to wring the max from travellers (where the bag DID fit the frame the gate staff then weighed it to see if they could tax the pasenger that way! All their Edinburgh staff were unhelpful to the point of being confrontational - not what one expects in a business where service is paramount.
and the captain on the Edinburgh Birmingham flight gabled his intro message as if he was trying to break a speed record for a bet.
This on top of being told, when I had to cancel one leg of a return flight, that it wasn't worth reclaiming the tax (actually it was!), and I couldn't keep the seat for more leg room, if I didn't release it back to Flybe for them to sell again the return leg would be cancelled.
There are buidget airlines, and then rip og=f Flybe. You can guess who will be using next time I fly.

Flybe

Great experience

The first time I used FlyBe for a return flight between London Gatwick and Nantes. And based on my overall experience, I'd say they're pretty great!

Easy online check-in
Both flights departed on time and arrived early
Comfy seats and good legroom
Good selection of (not expensive / rip-off) onboard snacks, drinks and gifts
Friendly staff
Not the cheapest but very reasonable and provided value for money to me

Erm, that's about it really. Based on my first experience with the (2 flights) I'd definitely use them again and recommend them.

Flybe

Terrible

Rude staff at Edinburgh airport. It took many weeks to get a reply to my letter of complaint and then it was just standard rubbish. My bag was two inches larger than their container, the plane was half empty but in spite of this I had to pay an extra £60 to put my bag in the hold in spite of flying from Manston airport without a problem. I will never ever Fly with this terrible airline again

Flybe

Excellent Customer Service

I live in Exeter so Flybe are very convenient as they operate from Exeter Airport. Although there are many 'budget' airlines around offering slightly cheaper flights, Flybe still have very competetive prices, hve a very easy booking procedure and maintain excellent customer service from booking to landing at your destination. I can't rate this company highly enough!

Flybe

Good service

I would recommend Flybe to anyone as a good quality cheap airline

Flybe

Poor Customer Service - out of pocket

Very happy with the price, happy with the flight times but when i emailed them to upgrade a booking they didnt come back to me for 6 days, when they did the origanly price i had been quoted went up but if they had responded back to me quickly i would have got the price for the seats, there was no telling them - This was a while back now but i thought i would get my revenge :-)

Flybe

Hidden charges everywhere

I've used flyby a lot recently while contracting in Belfast, Site is reasonably easy to navigate once you've figured out to to cancel all of the pre-added optional extras. However some problems with the site, on more than one occasion the website has had my return date booked for a different day. Check in staff confirmed to me it happens a lot, but refused to move me to the correct day, instead forcing me to cough up another £130 to buy another flight, then refunded almost nothing on the erroneous one. So double check the whole date on your confirmation!!

Flybe

Love this airline

Have used them when flying to jersey from southampton for the past 3 years. Never had a delay or a problem. cabin crew were helpful but i think the plane could have been cleaner. otherwise had a great service.

Best UK budget airline

I see a lot of people commenting on the additional charges at Flybe. This is certainly true and I think it's something that not going to change at this point - just have to accept it I'm afraid. At least with Flybe you get a specific seat rather it being a massive charge to get on or queueing for ages (at least I think that's still the case). They also fly with the Bombardier Q400's which are relatively environmentally friendly.

Flybe

Birmingham to Hannover

As usual with Flybe the flights went well, we were late leaving Birmingham but arrived ontime in Hannover

Flybe

Good flights - bad customer service

I've flown with FlyBe a few times recently and i've always found their flights to be good value for the price. My gripe is i've had to try to rearrange flights with FlyBe on a couple of occasions, and it actually works out to be more expensive to rearrange than to cancel and book again. No longer will FlyBe be my first choice airline from my local airport as they were before.

Flybe

I only use flybe because i dont have much choice!!

i live in the Isle of man and have limited options of how to travel to the uk, if you are able to book a flight in advance your lucky if you can get a return flight for less than £100 unless you use easy jet, i wanted to book a flight with flybe and it would cost at least £130 compared to easyjet which cost £40 for a return flight. I think flybe need to be a bit more competitive with their prices, people only use them because they dont have much choice and not because they are reliable or cheap!!

Flybe

Pleasant experience, but a shame they charge extra for seats!

Easy to book, pleasant staff and on-time flights. Just unfortunate, that they feel it is acceptable to charge for pre-booking seats.

Flybe

Lots of Hidden Charges

Charged me £18 for booking with my debit card ( two people travelling)
They say if you pay by Electron card then it is free. Checked with Bank and all major banks have stopped issuing electron cards. I even have a Flybe credit card and they charge for using that as well. Just as well this form of unfair charging is being investigated. Stop saying low prices when you have hidden charges it is unfair and a poor form of customer service.

Flybe

Good service but Pricing very misleading

Although I did use Flybe once this year, it was only because I was taking a party of relatives and friends (including children) to Spain and only Flybe can offer that service from Guernsey. ie No liability on ourselves if we did not make the connection with the other flight (UK to Spain), due to no fault of our own. I usually avoid Flybe like the plague because they have so many additional charges these days. When booking with Flybe you start at a really low figure and are taken down a very long path, charging you for everything that should realistically have been taken into allowance before they started wasting your time. I really do not know how they can still brand themselves as a Low Cost Airline.

Flybe

Hides charges and won't fully refund taxes

Difficult website to navigate if you don't want to incur lots of unnecessary charges.
When we cancelled a ticket because urgent surgery needed they charged £25 per leg to refund the taxes, leaving ~£3.
Tantamount to theft I call this.

Flybe

Always top quality

I fly with Flybe from Southampton Airport when visiting my mother in Spain, and fly her into Southampton when she comes to me.

As a disabled passenger, I always present a few additional issues for airport and airline staff - though this is never a problem at Southampton or with Flybe. My safety and comfort is assured at al times.

Flybe is always first class, even if my airfare states it's economy.

Roomy seats, excellent service, always on time, what more could you ask for?

Flybe

rapidly becoming Fly (may) be!

losing that early customer focus. Since listing they seem to be driven by numbers.

Flybe

Manchester to Exeter

Great flight times to and from these cities - saved me hours on the road!

Flybe

Flybe,the NON Rip Off Airline

It was great to experience the good service from this Airline compared with some of the other so called no frills companies that love to charge you for everything ,even for breathing.

Flybe

Terrible check in experience

I was charged €74 euros extra for two bags which we always take as hand luggage.

Flybe

Good

not a great flyer but cant complain the flight was very smooth

Flybe

I enjoyed the flight experience staff were helpful and the flight was on time.

I decided at the last moment to visit family, and was impressed by the whole process from booking on line to service during the flight. The staff were helpful and pleasant would use flybe again.

Flybe

First class at a second class price

Flybe have some very well priced flights from Southampton to Dublin thus are always my first choice for travel. Sevice is always excellant, few delays and they make checking in very easy

Flybe

A Class Act

Unlike easyJet and the dreaded Ryanair, Flybe are a class apart when it comes to budget travel.

Flybe

First Class Service

Have flown with Flybe a couple of times. Planes were superb, always left on time and steward service on board very good.

Flybe

Flying pretty high

I quite often make the journey from Newcastle to Exeter, sometimes return, and this little airline is generally spot on with every aspect of service and puntuality. My one small gripe was lack of information from airport staff when bad weather caused delays getting back from London (obviously the weather wasn't their fault) but this was remedied by their later offer of a part refund to be used on Flybe in the future. I wish they flew more routes from Newcastle.
