I quite often make the journey from Newcastle to Exeter, sometimes return, and this little airline is generally spot on with every aspect of service and puntuality. My one small gripe was lack of information from airport staff when bad weather caused delays getting back from London (obviously the weather wasn't their fault) but this was remedied by their later offer of a part refund to be used on Flybe in the future. I wish they flew more routes from Newcastle.
FlyBe are very much under-rated, i flew with them recently from Belfast City (BHD) to Manchester (MAN) and from start to finish it couldnt have been better. Staff were helpful, professional and very friendly. Their equipment was very modern and the cabin with very comfortable, and i can be honest and say that the seats and legroom on their Embraer 190 is much more than ive experienced on BA in economy.
Overall - Fantastic!
I found it hard to calculate price as many unanticipated expenses were not added until late into the calculation.
My pre booked baggage (through an agent) was not on flybe system despite proof from the agent that it was booked and had to pay for it again and fight it out at a later date. otherwise all was ok, seats are certainly for the slim line of us!
This company has recently changed it's online pricing so that you can see the ACTUAL cost including taxes. Before it was very frustrating getting a 'bargain' only to then have taxes, fees, baggage fees, seat fees etc added at the end, so well done for the change.
I flew from Leeds to Southampton and back with them and on the journey back, our flight was going to be cancelled, however, they instead let us on a Scottish flight and made a stop at Leeds for us! Fantastic customer service. I would use them again.
I travel fairly frequently within the UK and have used many of the airlines mention ed in the list. Flybe has provided one of the best services and is fairly competitive in a packed market. They've always got me there on time and feeling fine
I booked a flight, online, to the Channel Islands and Flybe took my money. I was then messaged to say that the site was too busy and my flight couldn't be booked even though they had taken approx £200 of my money. They said they didn't have my money and I wasn't showing up on any flight lists. I ended up having to book with another airline costing me another £200 for the new flight. A lot of stress and many phone calls later I eventually got my money back after 96 hours. Surely if a website can't cope with traffic it should tell you to try again later and not take your money for something you can't have?!
