I posted my phone to Fonebank using an address label printed from their website. It didn't cost me anything to post but I did get a posting receipt. They emailed my Amazon gift certificate 4 days later without any fuss. Would definitely use them again.
very good service very prompt payment and when you ring them to arrange a collection the staff are spot on no waiting or messing they even help you and thats unusual I've found most other recyclers are poor
After a bit of a hiccup with collection from a differenet address, the process was very smooth.
I sent in 5 handsets, some virtually worthless, but the full amount was paid , as per quote, in Amazon vouchers, within a few days. Excellent service & would use again.
The only "Downside" to the excellent service & ease of operation is the cost of sending the phones!! It would be good if, as part of the service, Sellers were able to print out a postage paid label when only sending One or Two phones. I'm sure FB would be able to negotiate a good deal with the Royal Mail!!
Do not trust fonebank's free postage. I returned the phone using the freepost label by taking it to the Post Office. The receipt I was given as proof of postage had no tracking number which I did not notice till the next day. After that the phone was never seen again.
What followed was weeks of phoning between Fonebank and Royal Mail because Royal Mail said I couldn't claim because their customer was Fonebank because of the freepost label having been provided by them.
Fonebank refunded to pay me out the guaranteed amount provided by the freepost label. They promised on multiple occasions by email and phone they would pay out half the value of the phone and they didn't. In the end I had to go into the office to ask them directly to honour their promised value.
I know they say use special delivery for expensive items and I accept that the lost value was my fault. However the speed at which they dealt with the lost item in the post was completely unacceptable. Especially to make promises and then not carry them out for weeks.
I checked the price of the phone, printed off the label and took it to the post office. I received confirmation of receipt of phone and shortly after an email to say the cheque was on it's way. The whole process from looking up the price of the phone to receiving the cheque was done within the week. I will be using them again and have no reservations in recommending them. Excellent service, thank you.
The most important thing when dealing with a company like this where your only knowledge of them is what you have read on their web site, is confidence that if you send them stuff that is as described, you will get sent the money that is agreed, and in good time. I am pleased to say FoneBank not only did what they said they would, they paid me £10 more than Mazuma to do it. So now I trust them both, but money rings my bell every time. Thanks FoneBank great service.
FoneBank, in my experience, pay you the price agreed on their website without trying to push the price down with unjustified quibbles. Their administration is quick and efficient with payment made within their promised lead-time. Communication is friendly & helpful. What's not to like?
I would definitely recommend Fonebank, always recycle my phones with them and have never had any issues, payment is always quick and I always feel that I am given a fair price for the handsets.

I got a reasonable offer with all the details necessary for posting off to fonebank (including advice on "sanitising" the item. Almost immediate response with Amazon credit note ready to be claimed. Nothing could have been simpler!
Fonebank were excellent, the price they offered for the phone was the highest offered (beating everyone else). It was very easy to send the phone to them and we received a confirmation email very quickly for peace of mind that it had arrived ok. The payment was also very quick. Couldn't fault them and highly recommend.
The value on the site was not the highest in a comparison of sites, but the positive reviews made me choose fonebank.
I chose to drop in the phone as I was passing their office, and true to her word the kind lady who said she would process it did so right there and then, and I received the money through paypal quickly.

So I decided to sell my Blackberry Q10 that I recently purchased but then received a phone from work. I thought it would save time to sell it online and after a bit of research I decided to sell to Fonebank. I was a little sceptical at first because I've heard from many friends and family recently that they have had trouble selling to different online websites and were not giving them the money they had originally offered. Fonebank was not the top offer I was quoted for the mobile but I decided to go with them from there good reviews. I sent it off from my local post office and was very pleased that it did not cost me a penny to send. I was a little worried incase anything would happen to the phone when it was being sent or if it would not arrive, but I received an email within around 2-3 days and that the would put the money into my bank. They where true to there word and within 2 days the money I was quoted was in the bank. A quick and easy process and all of my friends and family said they would also use Fonebank for future uses. I am very pleased with the service I was provided with and it was quick and simple so thank you. :)
Have successfully used FoneBank in the past when Phone Receipt email was received a couple of days after posting with Amazon Certificate following within 24 hours.
Last batch of MobilePhones were despatched as per FoneBank's instructions, but for 3 weeks FoneBank just kept emailing standard "We have not received your package" messages in response to our enquiries; in spite of Royal Mail confirming delivery a couple of days after posting.
Eventually FoneBank confirmed packages had been received weeks earlier as Royal Mail stated and promised Amazon Certificate within 24 hours.
Needless to say that no Amazon Certificate email has been received and therefore:

> currently discourage anyone from using fonebank services.
Really quick and efficient. I sent them a photo of my broken ipad asking if Hayley woudl accept it and they confirmed very quickly. They paid the best price I could find and money was in my account only a few days after sending the Ipad in. I woudld definitely use them again.
Unlike some other mobile phone buy-back websites, fonebank did not change their quote after receiving my phone under dubious 'heavy scratching' reasons. I wish I'd come to fonebank the last time I sold a mobile phone.
Fonebank is best site for selling your mobiles. Easy, quick and they pay what they say they will, unlike some companies that pay less based on the condition of the phone. Also, having the money paid straight into your account is fantastic. I wouldn't sell my mobile anywhere else. Excellent.
