I sent my IPhone 4S in to fonehub and have received an email stating that they have devalued my phone from £155 to £95 based upon 2 things. 1) the home button is sticky / hard to press and 2) the phone is locked to t-mobile.
With regards to 1) it certainly wasn't sticky / hard to press during the 2 years that I was using it and I never noticed any difference between mine & my wife's identical phone and 2) I was under the impression that it was unlocked, and surely if my phone was locked it would be to EE / Orange as displayed on screen when in use??
I responded to the email they sent as promptly as possible, which was same day and well within the 2 days detailed in the mail, so I shall wait and see what response I get, and update this accordingly.
The company reduced the offer from £75 to £25 even though the phone was in full working order and complied fully with their terms on conditions. The Customer Services don't seem to care and would not respond to the questions I posed, instead they came back with the standard line that they would return the phone. 2 weeks later and I still haven't received my phone back form them.
Had smooth experience with this company before and it went with no issue.
however due to miscommunication and Junk Email filters getting in the way.
Still feel like a second attempt to contact me through email was done when i posted a review on here, but once contacted the issue was solved.
The whole process went without a hitch. I used the Fonehub website to value my phone and got pretty much the best price that I could find. I entered my details, confirmed and the envelope for posting my phone arrived the next day. There was a freepopst option which included insurance up to £50, so I used that. Took the envelope to the Post Office on Saturday morning and by Monday I had received an email confirming that Fonehub had received my phone. By Wednesday my cheque had arrived, for the full amount quoted! I was really impressed. No hitches, smooth service, kept me informed and everything worked as it should, and as Fonehub promised. I would certainly use them again, and recommend them.
Website fully informative, easy to use. When price quoted for phone it is stuck to.
Postal envelope sent with instructions. Once phone returned texts/ emails sent updating you on the progress and when funds will be received. All in all a very good process so much so my husband has now sent his old phone too.
A nice experience for this type of transaction. I had obviously looked after my phone and kept it in good condition. No problems will use again.
Not sure if these guys trade fairly. It feels like a con. Claims a small mark on the camera so seek ing 25% off. The phone was immaculate. I will get them to send it back to me. No doubt they will charge for that.
I sent two phones on the strength of a valuation both used but working when i sent them. One was revalued as being worth nothing as mysteriously the sim tray had become damaged and the other was devalued by over £10 as the screen was assessed as being scratched. The prices given are for absolutely pristine phones which haven't had two years use. If you use this company don't take the price given for granted, spin the wheel and take your chances.

I received the amount quoted with no haggling as some other companies try. I posted the phone on the Tuesday and received the cheque on the Friday. I found the company easy to deal with and am very satisfied with the service. I would recommend them to anyone looking to sell a phone.
Update... Thank you for your reply. And let me answer your question! No I am not a FoneHub Customer! but my Sister in Law was! She was left with a feeling of regret after dealing with your company. Like others.She was quoted a price for her phone which was then devalued by you. She did receive money but that is not the point.
I also have received a message from another member of this forum stating they too where misled by the valuation., But subsequently this issue was resolved. they then pm me again." Saying they acted unfairly towards you company and have accused me of the same". They then went on to request me to remove my negative comment as they find it unjust. So I Have decided to remove The original post simply on request and owing to the fact I have had no direct dealing with FoneHub therefore I am not in the position to make unbiased comments.

Its plain to see that their main aim as a growing company is customer satisfaction.. And I will have to say they deliver very well on that front. Staff are pleasant and helpful, and as a manager Ryan was a pleasure to speak to...

I searched for the best price I could get and came across fonehub. It was quick and easy to use and I had the full amount I was originally offered in my bank within 5 days of initially enquiring. I noticed that the price of my old phone came down the day after my enquiry but I still received the full amount I was originally offered.
Will definitely use again!
My phone was in perfect working condition and cosmetic condition. They reduced my payment for a claimed stiff button and being locked to a network. They gave me 48hrs notice which did not allow me time to pick up the mail let alone respond. I contacted them asking for my phone to be returned. No answer. Don't trust them you will be short changed.
Wow what a great serivce sent phone off on the sat and got cheque today its not even been a week since i first went on there website for a quote got the packaging the next day service so quick great website ot was very easy to get quote many thanks
I was very pleased with them, the packaging for me to send the phone to them arrives within a couple of days, I sent off the phone, and the money was in my account before the end of the week! They paid the price they'd quoted, and it was great to know my phone was being recycled too. I couldn't fault them!
It seems I have had the same experience as many others rating FoneHub, try other firms and they send you an email saying you can have a fiver blaming cosmetic damage (well the phone is 2 years old but no more than general wear and tear) or better still that it is water damaged when you know perfectly well it hasn't been near any water or steam! Well I tried FoneHub (for my partner's phone) this time and will definitely use again. The price quoted was the price paid and extremely speedy too. My contract is up for renewal in April and I know the first place I will come to, to recycle my phone now, without question!!!
Restored my faith in phone recycling companies - a very different experience to the usual underhand practises of some of the other companies (i.e. high offer price followed by huge de-valuation of your phone once received - then charge to return your phone if you are unhappy with the revised offer). I sent fonehub.co.uk my 2 year old Samsung Galaxy S2 which I would consider to be in good/average condition - good screen, average plastics. The offer price was slightly lower than the very highest on the comparison sites but upon reading the many unhappy reviews from customers of these apparently more-generous companies, it became clear it was unlikely I would receive anywhere near these higher offer prices. I went with gut feeling with fonehub.co.uk based on positive reviews. I took advantage of the free postage service, providing my own packaging and printing my own label. Throughout the one week process I received a series of email notifications from fonehub.co.uk informing me of the progress of my application. Today, the full offer price has been paid into my account and I could not be happier - thank-you fonehub.co.uk
looked at various phone recycle companies to see who was offering the best deal chose fonehub posted off my phone on the tuesday and a cheque was waiting for me on the thursday now thats excellent service thanks and i shall recommend fonehub to all
FoneHub offered me the most reasonable amount for my old mobile. Their website was clear and easy to use, the envelope arrived promptly and I was kept well informed throughout the process. i would use them again and recommend to other people.
Was offered next to nothing by high street phone shop (having been offered £50 verbally previously), so looked online but all the other companies had such bad reviews. Fonehub had good reviews & they offered me £60 online for the phone. Envelope arrived 2 days later, email day after I sent phone to say being processed, 4 days later £60 deposited in my account! Just a quick note to say thank you for the efficient processing of my phones. I was quoted prices on the Friday, posted the phones on the Tuesday (Monday was a bank holiday), email received on Tuesday confirming receipt, email received on Thursday to say payments being made, payments in bank account Saturday morning.
All in all a very easy and pleasant experience, thank you, will recommend to friends (though not to enemies!!).
