FRAUD

It's been over 24hours and no response from the company... as they have also stopped responding to reviews on here I'm guessing they are now a fraudulent company, something my thesis is about, i'll be requesting the company financials to see if I can use them in my work!

WARNING - DO NOT USE FONESUNLOCK

I went online and found their website - it looked the same as the others out there so wasn't too worried and they allowed payments via PayPal so I wrongly assumed some level of legitimacy. However after paying my £6 and waiting 48 hours (their maximum turn-round time - according to the website) I had only received an email invoice - no unlock code. So I emailed them, used their "contact us" facility on the website and tried in vain to fine a contact number but with no success. In light of their complete lack of response I have requested a refund via PayPal and am awaiting a response. By the way - I can recommend GSMliberty for a unlock codes - received one from them in 5 mins and it was only £5 - my order ref with fonesunlock is 13548 - they are utterly useless don't go near them

Appears to be a scam

The only email I have had from them was to confirm the paypal payment. Since then it doesn't matter what I do - no response. I have started a paypal dispute - this starts with the two parties supposedly trying to sort out the problem, but they never email so it must be a scam.

Beware of the scammers

Ordered My MEP Code for my Curve 8520, 3 days later nothing. I have sent 3 E-mails and still no reply, My Order Number is #13520. Very Disappointed, wish I had of read the reviews before placing an order. Feel Scammed, The Office of Fair Trading should be aware of this company!!

update:I was going to give them a chance but after them Ignoring all my e-mails which i sent to support, sales & Payments I have now placed a dispute via Paypal people beware dont buy from these con men!!

Do they exist?

Requested unlock code a week ago - still nothing. No response to emails.
Not convinced this is a real company just a rip off.

I paid for an unlock code before X'mas . I was given 2 codes that did not work . I was asked for my RPD code which I passed on over a week ago. I have not heard a word since despite sending them a number of e-mails

Ordered on 31.12.12 no reply. I emailed 3 times and still nothing!

Not heard anything back from this company since the order was placed 6 days ago. Used the email contact and the feedback form and nothing. I may not have spent a lot of cash but that is not the point. I have raised a complaint via pay pal and will report the company to their local trading standards.

very bad. doggy company. order my code for my blackberry and it never arrives. They have conned me.

Don't get con by them. all they want is your money and do not sent code to you.

CODE DIDNT WORK AND THEY HAVE BEEN DODGIN MY EMAILS SINCE. NEED A REFUND

ordered 2 unlock codes, received one after a shorter time than the other and it was the correct code.

THE OTHER ONE HOWEVER was a WRONG CODE and i have sent 4 EMAILS since and have gotten NO REPLY what so ever.

Took 6 sterlings and sent me a wrong code and i haven't gotten my refund yet.

i'd like a refund instead of a new code. PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP!!

You've ordered twice (order ID: 12619 & 12647), which of the orders is the one you're having problems with and require a refund? I believe the other code was okay?

I did not receive my codes within the 48 hours stated and the company did not respond to emails until a week later. When they did eventually contact me they refunded my money immediately.

New sim inserted, software detected wrong sim card and request for "unlock code".

I received a first code that didn't work and I followed the instructions for this cases, mainly to send a second identifier of the device: I received the good code only 3 or 4 hours after. It worked immediately!

Unlocking Code Worked

The initial order worked well and I expected to receive the code within their stated 1 to 24 hours. However after 48 hours I had to send an e-mail asking for the code.

Within a couple of hours Fonesunlock sent the code to me and it worked with no problems. Thanks

Low cost unlock for LG

This is the best value company i could find for unlocking a cheap LG (others cost more than the phone). Got the code within 3 working days (although i did send a reminder). Now my 7-year old sim works in a new phone.

Code worked no problem

I ordered code on Saturday night, got it the following Thursday night. The code worked first time without problem. Phone was Nokia 5800 locked to Vodafone UK. The instructions in the link were easy to follow.
I would have liked to have got the code a bit quicker, but still happy to recommend at £9.

You panic at first, because you send off your money and don't hear anything, but later on the same day I got my code and it worked straight away - easy!

Just need to sort out that communication with the customer - otherwise fantastic.

2 phones unlocked no probs

I always get a bit paranoid when buying things over the internet and relying on someone to email me the goods.
Requested MEP unlock code for my torch 9800 first. After a few hours got worried and emailed the company that I had not received anything. By the following day I had two emails. One telling me service takes 12-24 hours and another with the codes for my phone. Actually got two codes I assumed first was MEP2 and second was MEP4. Only needed MEP2
Then couple of days later requested codes for wife's Curve 8520. Next day I got an email with one code and I inputted as MEP2.
Now two network free BB's we can change provider at home, or stick in a foriegn sim when we are abroad.
Excellent service first time so went back for the second phone. Would use again and would recommend them to you.

Better than 5 for customer service

The service from this site couldn't be better. The response time is fast and emails courteous and helpful. Customer service is brilliant: thank you so much for your patience and kindness when TMobile were giving me hell in so many ways. I live in provincial England where services are not good. Thanks to fonesunlock, even after all the time it took to return unserviceable payg handsets TWICE, complain and then buy a whole new handset AND change networks, I now have fully functional and unlocked work equipment. Thanks again for staying with it.

Scam site, don't trust them, they'll steal your money and ignore your emails

I ordered a code from them many days ago, although in their site they lie to send codes within seconds. Not only this, but they did not even return my emails or gave me any explanation. They'll steal your money and ignore you. DON'T BUY FROM THEM - SCAM

Excellent Service!

This is the second time I used this service and I am most impressed. After receiving the correct unlock code for my Samsung I found that it had a sublock engaged too. Withina few hours of notifying fonesunlock about this I received instructions how to remove the sublock as well.
In a previous case I requested an unlock code for a phone which was already unlocked. Fonesunlock returned my money immediately!
