I just bought a 300mm lens from Fotosense online. I put my order in on Friday evening and the product arrived at home on Tuesday afternoon.
I chose Fotosense because they had stock and were the lowest post-paid price of the bona-fide photographic dealers that I recognize.
The product was perfect and the packaging was generous, which is just as well, because white-van-man has lots of drops to do each day.
With so many suppliers out there, I expected the same sort of service and after sales consideration. I was wrong!
The delivery of my flash gun was almost instantaneous!
Three months later i damaged the item and returned it on a Saturday........I got a replacement on TUESDAY!!!

When I was looking for a new camera bag - Billingham Hadley large - Fotosense seemed to be the only web store in whole Europe selling this bag for a reasonable price. I placed my order Aug. 21st, Fotosense mailed it on Fri 24th and my bag was in Mikkeli, FINLAND on Mon. 27th. Now I can start my trip with my new camera bag as I planned. Well done Fotosense!
Searching the web for a new camera bag / rucksack I found this company. Now my loft is full of camera bags bought off the net - ask my wife - none of which do the job properly. I was delighted to find the company were a 20 minute drive from me, and a phone call told me they had a small retail shop. A quick visit later - I was sorted. Thanks to the sales staff who spent time with me, sorted out what I needed, brought out every model I wanted to try, waited whilst I loaded all my gear to test.
I ended up with a model I hadn't researched, which i had nearly rejected because it didn't have a laptop pocket. Rejected - until the helpful sales person pointed out a zip front - which just took my laptop - so sale made. I'd visit this company again, and not hesitate to order off the web from them.

I have ordered a few things from them cameras, SD cards and a tripod. Once the SD card cases arrived damaged but I could still use the cards. The other time I ordered a camera and they did not tell me that it was out of stock until I called them. I cancelled the order. After a week or so they refunded the money.
Ordered a Billingham bag, which cost over £200, was told item is in stock on two occasions. Only for the item to be kept in processing for 4 days.
I was then told that I should of paid an extra £8 to get it delivered quicker.
Ordered an item listed as in stock. After six days emailed an enquiry, never received a reply. After ten days, still having had no communication other than the initial order confirmation, checked again and found the items to be listed as "out of stock, on backorder".
Never again will I blindly choose the cheapest price seller. Wish I had found Trustpilot before I made my purchase from Fotosense.
I bought a Tripod Bag from them on 12/12/11. It was out of stock but expected to despatch on 21/12/11. After many more emails with new expected despatch dates, I finally had a delivery on 19/01/12 but it was the wrong item. I couldn't believe it after all that time! I was asked to return the incorrect item at my expense and include a letter explaining why the item was being returned as there could have been a warehouse mistake and then they would send me the correct item and refund my expenses. NO APOLGY! On 25/01/12, after another email from me to see if my return had arrived, I received my first "sorry" for any inconvenience and notification that the correct item was on its way. On 26/01/12, just one and a half months after ordering, I finally received my tripod bag. Needless to say, it took another 5 weeks and another email from me before I recovered my postage costs which didn't include the petrol to drive to the post office and back. Was it worth the few poounds saved? IT WAS NOT. My next online purchase was made only after consulting Trustpilot as will be the case for all future purchases.
I ordered a Trophy Cam on the 19th December for delivery to my Portsmouth address. I paid by Mastercard and payment was accepted. Still waiting for the goods as of today. They now tell me they cannot accept my card because it is not secure and there could be a potential fraud!!! They took the payment and it was authorised.
I am now cancelling the transaction and closed my account with them.I await a full refund. I will never use them.

This is my second purchase from you . Filters previously and now after only ordering online at approx 13.30pm on the 29th Dec 2011 I received my GH 2 Panasonic Camera Body ( Excellent Low Price ) on the 30th Dec at 08.30 this morning after requesting a 48 hr Delivery Service . The Panasonic packaging arrived in a well protected plain foam packed box along with the paperwork and a discount offer on camera bags . Great Website to search and view and MANY THANKS to the gentlemen whom I spoke to via telephone at the Bolton Units for what he has done for me . Thoroughly Pleased with purchase and the whole experience .

What a joke, I'll never use them again for the following reasons.
1) when trying to place an order their website said that they had been unable to charge my credit card so after 2 attempts I gave up and used my paypal account. But when I checked my account a few days later they had in fact charged me for both attempts - so I had been charged 3 times in total.
2) Item was listed as 'in stock' but the next day I get an email to say that the item was actually out of stock and I would have to wait 3 weeks so I asked to cancel and have a refund
3) They only cancelled and refunded 2 of the 3 orders, which meant that 3 or so weeks later I received an email to say they were dispatching the order. When I contacted them to explain that the order should have been cancelled and refunded already was was told just to refuse delivery and that I would be finally refunded upon its return. Why couldn't they stop it from being despatched?
4) I'm still waiting for my refund nearly 2 months after placing the order and almost a month after they received the unwanted parcel back.
5) To top it of, the emails from customer service have been very blunt, unapologetic, and rude.
I used to buy direct from Fotosense a few years ago when I lived in the North and found their premises and prices very good.
Since moving back South I have bought quite a few items from them mail order on the T'Internet and always found their service to be good.
I recently bought a Slik Monopod which went AWOL in the postal system.
Fotosense sent me another one and upgraded the delivery with no qiubbles. Well done Fotosense !
Well, I've learned my lesson not to go with the lowest prices on the internet as this often means cheap service. And in my case it was exactly that!
I order three items (all items in stock/low stock) for £1000.
After zero response of any kind for few days I decide to call them.
I ask a lady with poor English where's my order.
The lady replies that the items are out of stock and it will be 3 weeks.
I say I can't wait and I want a refund.
Before I know it the lady calls me they found the items and they are despatched today.
The parcel arrives next day as promised BUT:
– the original Elinchrom packaging is in a bad state, it's been opened and retaped again. Looks like it's been tossed around a dirty basement,
– one item completely missing and not on the invoice,
– third item on the invoice but nowhere there; eventually found hidden in the box with Elinchrom flash lights.
No information whatsoever why they didn't send one item.
I call them again.
A gentleman says it's out of stock and it will be 3 weeks.
I ask for a refund which he agrees to do.
I mention all of the above to the man but he starts to complain about a system being down, a website being repaired, etc.
So, in short, I don't recommend them. No communication, misinformation, poor customer experience, questionable handling of goods.
I really would not recommend these people. Their responses are unhelpful at best. They will offer you zilch advice. I bought a bundle with a 3 year warranty included. When my bundle arrived, there was only a standard 1 year warranty. I asked where my 3 year warranty was. Then I asked again - and got some kind of poorly constructed 1 sentence answer that did not answer my question. I asked again and they said "on the side of your card" Well it ain't. I'll keep asking until I get my 3 year warranty in writing - DONT WORRY FOTOSENSE I AM PATIENT ! In the meantime, do yourselves a favour and support your local photo shop - face to face !
Brought Bowens 500R kit, ordered it at 3pm and requested quick delivery and it arrived the next morning in perfect condition. Its rare to get such great reliable service online these days. Will def. shop from here again.
I ordered two items, which were indicated as being in stock.
However, one of the items delivered was different to the item I had ordered. No explanation, no e-mail sent before delivery, just 'here we go, I've decided to give you this'. Even the invoice hadn't been changed to indicate that it was a different item.
When I e-mailed, I was informed that what I had ordered was discontinued (so why was it indicated that it was in stock), but no explanation was given as to why I was not informed beforehand. What really annoys me is that the item is clearly inferior and can be found for half the price, of what I paid.
What really kills me though is part of the reply that states:
'If i recieved this service from a company i will be more than happy'
You get the idea with whom you are dealing.
Ordered a camera, 2 lenses and SD card late afternoon on the Monday, was delivered Wednesday morning (less than 42hrs after placing order). Had my doubts when reading reviews as the price was also the cheapest around (for uk models not grey imports). The camera (Panasonic G2 is also great)
Very pleasantly surprised, would definitely use fotosense again. Couldn't have asked for any better.
Fast delivery of the item ordered. Only problem was that the spec sheet did not include base size, resulting in my ordering the wrong size. One phone call to Giotto's UK gave me the right model number for my tripod. fotoSENSE exchanged the item very quickly, but if the information had been included in the spec it would have saved time and postage costs. However I received good treatment from the staff I dealt with and would not hesitate to use fotoSENSE again.
my problem was just with customer service i order panasonic lumix fz100 but before i call if is in stock this person on customer service told me yes is it in stock but was not and i send few mails they respond very fast. i get few days later dispatch in reason not in stock but im very happy order from fotosense best price excellent items genuine panasonic i would recomend
Not very camera minded these guys were the best I've used yet - good advice, very , very quick and accurate turn-round of order and when I needed a return and changd item just 1st class , new goods dispatched and cash refunded - would / have recommended !!
I've had two recent experiences with FotoSense, one where I had ordered an unsuitable SD card for a camera, they sent the exchange/replacement the same day by next day delivery to ensure I got the card in time as I was going to miss a wedding. The other time I submitted a support ticket which was answered in a knowledgeable and comprehensive way in less that half an hour! The prices are good too, so you can't go wrong here in my opinion.
Simply couldn't be faulted. Panasonic G2 arrived next day and was at a far better price than elsewhere.
I'm a professional photographer living in Andalusia (Spain) - sometimes it is difficult to purchase the exact item you need here, so being able to order from fotosense was a huge advantage. I ordered some studio lights, and when they arrived, one was faulty. I needed the lights for a photo shoot that week and couldn't wait to send the light back to the UK, for it to be sent to Interfit and then a replacement sent back to me. fotosense sent me a replacement light which arrived a few days later, in time for my photo shoot with the agreement that when my family visited in the summer, they could simply bring the light back with them to save the expense of the Spanish postal service. I will use them again because after sales service is more important to me than the product.
The order arrived within two working days of ordering it. Excellent service. I have ordered from Fotosense a few times and never had any problems. I would highly recommend anybody to buy from them. I think its great to be able to talk to somebody in the event of any problems, not that I have done to date, but not many internet companies offer this level of service. 6*'s if there was an option.
Checked item was in stock before placing my order and was told it was and that order would be despatched the next day, so I wasn't expecting to receive it for a few days. So imagine my surprise when it arrived the very next morning. And it was the best price on the net. Well done Fotosense.
Brilliant service! I rang about an error on the order that was totally my own fault and it was rectified by real people working in the UK WOW! Products turned up when and how described and keep fully upto date with progress of order.
I'll be back for more:-)
My item was initially out of stock, but a quick telelphone call to fotosense and the item was checked with suppier and delivered as soon as it was in stock (the next morning). The staff were really helpful and the email updates were regular and clear. My item was also significantly cheaper here than on rival sites.
