I've just bought my flat through them and I thought that they were very good. Especially Tom who was very professional from start to finish.
Awful, awful, awful. All about the money. They will bleed you dry and won't even bother being polite about it.
We've been living in an apartment in London with Foxtons for a few months now. When we moved in there were several defects that we immediately reported to the manager of the apartment. However, it took several months to get even simple things fixed, and we're still working on getting some things sorted now. This is even though we had to pay over £400 as a moving-in fee, and presumably a chunk of our rent goes to the "management" as well. Just doesn't seem right.
I didn't feel like a valued customer, more like a commission earner for the agent and the agent really lacked general info that they should know.
Foxtons are the kings of pushing the prices up so that's why i always sell my houses through them.....but not to buy through them. For that i always go to a little estate agent and find a hidden Gem(s ) that perhaps Foxtons can not be bothered with or the seller thinks their commision is too steep.
Overall I think they are a reasonable company but they have been known to dance the edges.
