Lovely quality piece of furniture, problem with initial delivery due to vehicle breakdown but second attempt fine. Staff courteous, happy with service.

This was the first time I have bought furniture on line - brilliant.

I would really consider buying from this company. I bought two bedside cabinets which came ready assembled. All I had to do was unpack them and put the knobs on.

I had looked in several stores and could not find what I wanted. Unfortunately the stores can not carry the range that Frances Hunt can. All the "computer work" went through without any hitches.

The only problem came with delivery - they didn't let me know that they were coming but fortunately I was in. With hindsight I would have not let them leave them in the hallway. The boxes were heavy and I had to get them upstairs. However I managed by unpacking them downstairs and taking the drawers out.

As for the furniture I bought, I am delighted with them. All the drawers slide beautifully.

They did what the major retailers couldn't!

The customer service team were excellent and got me my glass table in a couple of weeks. The major retailers were quoting 6 weeks minimum. Francis Hunt's team were felixble and wanted to give me a solution, not a 'no-it can't be done!'
Well done for giving me the added value service!

Excellent service and item

This is an excellent firm to deal with in my opinion. The sideboard we bought looks lovely and the service was speedy with pleasant delivery men. Thank you!

Customer service to rival the best

Bought a table that (unusually) was available for delivery sooner than expected. Ordering was easy and Frances Hunt kept us fully informed. Delivery driver was very helpful. Would recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

My concerns were totaly unfounded, a brilliant experience.

So I wanted a sturdy table to use for my hobby of making cards. I also wanted it to be space saving yet not too expensive. I got everything I needed. I was concerned that it was "some assembly". I am well over 70 with a back problem, those concerns were totally unfounded. I could not wait to unpack and try to get it assembled. It was of good quality wood and assembled within an hour, with a few breaks here and there. I just could not believe how easy it was and once in place, I was even more delighted. It looks really good and has made my crafting days, so much easier. I feel good that I managed to put it together myself and did not have to ask for help. It would be a pleasure to recommend this firm to anyone. Delivery was prompt too, great!

easy but slow

it was a pleasure doing business with them. maybe this is how it is with furniture that they order it and it takes ages till you get it, something like 6 weeks, but I wasnt told and had the impression itwas a stock item. Otherwise all else was good

Wonderful product! First class service!

I found exactly the dining table and chairs I was looking for at a very competitive price. An extra bonus was a 10% discount off my order. I was kept fully informed on the progress of my order by e-mail and received a phone call to confirm my delivery date and whether it would be a.m. or p.m. The Delivery driver was also very helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company based on my experience.

Trading Standards need to deal with this company!

My family purchased a sofa bed on line and reading several other reviews now, it seems that my experience is not uncommon!
- Additional charges were paid for early delivery yet the delivery was late
- The product does not match what I ordered at all
- I am doing all the follow up as Frances Hunt have no integrity
- The customer service is shocking and requires investigation by Trading Standards
- I am being financially penalised for all their mistakes which I contest
- Absurd charges are being applied to me for cancellation of the order due to their errors
- There is no goodwill on part of this company
- Frances Hunt have a blame culture accepting no blame for their own bad business practices

However common I see this poor experience to be from the reviews listed, I do not deem it to be acceptable at all. Frances Hunt owes consumers a better standard of service all round and a remedy to the issues outlined.
I hope for a sincere apology and full refund on all payments and charges promptly.

My recent purchase from them left me with a warm glow and smiling. Everything went beautifully. The order, delivery date, confirmation and follow up call all done so smoothly. It was delivered exactly on time. The staff at Frances Hunt had a lovely attitude as did the delivery man who was really helpful. The bedroom furniture is fabulous quality. I just wish I had heard about them sooner.

Wrong Item Delivered after a 9 week wait.

I ordered a bed from Frances Hunt. The bed was advertised at 3-6 weeks delivery but I was told it was likely to arrive sooner. After 9 weeks the wrong item was delivered. I was told this was my mistake. However, I had received an email asking me to review my purchase, this linked to the item I had chosen. Too much of a coincidence in my view.

When I arranged for this to be collected, as they felt the blame lay with me I was charged a collection fee.

The most disappointed I have ever been with a purchase.

I ordered the same bed from another company, it arrived 2 days later (on a Sunday) as promised.

Beautiful furniture, easy on the eye

My wife and I looked on line at Frances Hunt's furniture and found just what we were looking for. A small type of armchair. They have a lot of materials and colours available, to choose from. We have been very pleased with the chair.
Recently we needed a sideboard, that fitted into a small space. After looking around here and there, we found just the right size sideboard, with Frances Hunt. The mini Turner Oak Sideboard. A solid piece of furniture, that looks good and fits perfectly in the space where we wanted it to be. Both items were delivered in the time given, securely packaged

DO NOT BUY FROM FRANCES HUNT!!

I would not recommend to anyone, this company sells bad quality products with a bad customer service to match! They always put the blame onto their "suppliers" and their delivery company is a one man band so if you buy something like a divan base, you'd have to help them lift it in! When I phone for answers or to chase them up on something, they are just full of promises but they don't follow through.

When they delivered the divan base, one of the drawers were completely broken, it took about 2 months for them to send a replacement and I'm still waiting for my £25 "goodwill" refund! Do not, do not buy from them!! Doesn't even deserve one star.

Good service matched by good product

Bought bedroom furniture which was assembled at home by the company.
i was very pleased with the furniture and the company.

First class service.

We ordered two single bed frames. One arrived and because of a slight misunderstanding the the other did not. However a short e-mail to Frances Hunt and they got onto the problem and solved it. No fuss. The quality of the beds exceeded my expectation. I am very pleased with the product and even more pleased with the way the company dealt with me. If I require any more furniture, then they will be my first "port of call"

Good product - poor customer service

I have recently purchased a glass table and six chairs from Frances Hunt. The product was very reasonably priced (£600) and very good quality - when it arrived! I originally placed my order upon moving house at the beginning of August. I was told I could expect the order in 3 weeks but generally despatch was within 10 days. When I chased the order I was told the product was out of stock until sometime in September. Had I not chased this I would simply have been left waiting! I was told a refund would take up to a month and offered a replacement product which was in stock and available for express delivery - within 7 days. I still waited over 10 days for the product to arrive and despite my raising complaints with senior members of the company I felt that my issues were not taken seriously and neither was my customer satisfaction valued. In dealing with Frances Hunt be aware that you are dealing with more than one company and a third party delivers the actual goods. As mentioned, the product is excellent and I am very pleased with my purchase - it is just a pity that the customer experience was so poor.

10/10 quality products and services

was very pleased how frances hunt have dealt my purchase on their website...have truly delivered the item that i wanted with no fuss and hustles. i highly recommend them for consumers.

The only fault i could find was the delivery time

Just about acceptable but could do far better

We received all our items flat packed as expected and within the timeframe given on the website. The salesperson that telephoned was very 'used car salesman' and less than helpful. Despite stating he wouldn't offer a discount nor take American Express as payment as the 'prices were so low already', I instead placed the order via the website using a 10 percent promotion code and paid via PayPal using Amex! Ordering three of each item meant we were on a budget and needed functional rather than exceptional furniture. All the packs are fairly study, illustrated by the fact one had burst open before being delivered. It was all 'wood effect' finish but acceptable in appearance. However the instructions looked like they had been reduced from A3 to A5 and were barely legible. None of the parts are labelled and it took a full day to assemble six items. Of the six packs received, one box had a wrong piece inside but I managed to fashion the wrong piece by use of a drill and plane. The production of the bedside cabinet draws have poor quality control and of the three received not one set close correctly as all the fronts were oversized for the space. They are overpriced for the quality. The wardrobes were of a better finish, but as with all units the fixings are of basic quality. The furniture can be pretty much classed as you get what you pay for (although with a piece missing we didn't even get that). Sales were pretty dreadful and follow up support enquiries regarding delivery dismissive. I would think twice before using them again.

Stuck on the floor

It was that drug Statins, my muscles were so weak I couldn't get up off my low couch-bed, so I slipped onto the floor then realized I was stuck there. Thank god it was summer, I crawled to the stairs, let my feet find the third step down and pulled myself upright on the banister rail. I was surprised how quickly my web search for a new bed picked up Francis Hunt. Yes there were others of course, but my eyes were sunk into my head from lack of sleep and pain, this site looked more comforting and I did get my order very quickly. Heck, I needed it.

Ordered 10th September, and still no sign............apparently they are waiting for someone to be in my area. Not impressed. This poor service is in stark contrast to two other companies I have used recently , Graham Thomas, Fanatstic , within a week and Myakka, who have kept me updated by email and text and are elivering withn 10 days!

Update: still no furniture having believed their sales person on Monday that it would be delivered today. Have found two other companies that can deliver the same furniture this week, will be canceling my order first thing tomorrow (oh and one of the companies is £50 cheaper) shocking!

Even my husband manage to assemble it !!!

I was surprised to find that this table and chairs were perfect I expected it to be a bit flimsy, most self assemble products are. My husband did it in 2 hours which is a record, sorry hubby. Would definitely recommend to friends. Delivery was good, they rang the day before to let me know what time it would arrive and again about an hour prior. Great!!!

1st Class service and an Extra Mile

My experience dealing with Frances Hunt was one of my best shopping experiences. I was treated as if i where a multimillionaire client and they where my personal shopper. My requirements where given to one of the sales people at Frances Hunt and they couldnt complete my query so they said i would recieve a call shortly with the answer. Lo and behold less than five minutes later i recieved a call from the manager. Gave all my requirements and Volla! it was sorted in a jiffy. Delivery service was just as good the whole shopping experience was high level of service all the way.

Took ages to arrive and then received wrong item !!

Ordered the Strada internal wardrobe shelving unit.

Took 8 weeks for it to be delivered and then when it was delivered they sent me the drawer version. I had ordered the shelf version.

Overall experience not good !!!!

Fantastic!

We are delighted with the wardrobe we bought - the company communicated well and the item was delivered when they said it would be. The wardrobe is great quality, very sturdy and a bright white finish which is just what we wanted! I would def recommend the wardrobe and the company and will buy from them again!!!

VERY,VERY POOR SERVICE. USELESS ITEM !!

I ordered a glass kitchen table from their website on 5th August 2012 with a delivery date of 4 weeks. After several phone calls (with me doing all the phoning,not once did the company phone me back)it finally arrived on the 13th September.
On trying to put the table together it was obvious that the said table was defective.There was no support for the glass table top,it just rested on the cylindrical upright support.This rendered it useless as you could not put any weight on the table and made it dangerous.This should have been spotted either at the suppliers or at the distribution warehouse.
After several more phone calls I was not prepared to wait another 5/6 weeks for a repacement and asked for a full refund.
I am waiting and hope it won't be too long till I get my money back.
The whole experience has put me off using this company again and I would advise others not to shop here.

I am delighted with my purchase. The bed, mattress, etc are first class. Just as advertised. The delivery was great - I was informed of the delivery time, and when the delivery men knew they were running late they insured that I was kept up to date at all times. Very refreshing.
