1st Class service and an Extra Mile

My experience dealing with Frances Hunt was one of my best shopping experiences. I was treated as if i where a multimillionaire client and they where my personal shopper. My requirements where given to one of the sales people at Frances Hunt and they couldnt complete my query so they said i would recieve a call shortly with the answer. Lo and behold less than five minutes later i recieved a call from the manager. Gave all my requirements and Volla! it was sorted in a jiffy. Delivery service was just as good the whole shopping experience was high level of service all the way.

Took ages to arrive and then received wrong item !!

Ordered the Strada internal wardrobe shelving unit.

Took 8 weeks for it to be delivered and then when it was delivered they sent me the drawer version. I had ordered the shelf version.

Overall experience not good !!!!

Fantastic!

We are delighted with the wardrobe we bought - the company communicated well and the item was delivered when they said it would be. The wardrobe is great quality, very sturdy and a bright white finish which is just what we wanted! I would def recommend the wardrobe and the company and will buy from them again!!!

VERY,VERY POOR SERVICE. USELESS ITEM !!

I ordered a glass kitchen table from their website on 5th August 2012 with a delivery date of 4 weeks. After several phone calls (with me doing all the phoning,not once did the company phone me back)it finally arrived on the 13th September.
On trying to put the table together it was obvious that the said table was defective.There was no support for the glass table top,it just rested on the cylindrical upright support.This rendered it useless as you could not put any weight on the table and made it dangerous.This should have been spotted either at the suppliers or at the distribution warehouse.
After several more phone calls I was not prepared to wait another 5/6 weeks for a repacement and asked for a full refund.
I am waiting and hope it won't be too long till I get my money back.
The whole experience has put me off using this company again and I would advise others not to shop here.

Great

I am delighted with my purchase. The bed, mattress, etc are first class. Just as advertised. The delivery was great - I was informed of the delivery time, and when the delivery men knew they were running late they insured that I was kept up to date at all times. Very refreshing.

Promised the best and delivered the worst

I purchased a coffee and side table which took almost 6 weeks to be delivered although they took payment the minute the order was placed. On receiving both of the above after numerous call re delivery I may add, I received the goods but minus several parts to build the coffee table with. I had to phone umpteen times only to be promised they would be sent out first class post the following day but to NO avail. I eventually gave up and threatened to cancel the order and request a refund and goods to be uplifted, only to be given another long drawn out story about short staff etc and the missing parts would yet again be sent out first class post.....guess what they never arrived next day but five days later! Had I not been out of the country this company would have had a very nasty phone call from me and a request to uplift their goods and refund my money. I have spent extra pounds on the calls, let alone the stress of not having the goods purchased, which I may add were NOT cheap....did I receive any compensation or refund of delivery costs? NO, a follow up call to see if missing parts had been received? NO. I purchase a lost of goods online and I must say this is the WORST customer service I have ever had. I would stay clear of this company and will never use them again.

This is due to our supplier letting us down, after assuring us the fixings were being sent out. We have since re evaluated our procedures; in which we send out replacement fixings and is now being done in house to save any further disappointment. 11 WEEKS & STILL NO ITEM OR REFUND!!!

I ordered some furniture on 3/6/2012 & was given an approximate delivery date of 7-14 days. On 9/7/12 I phoned up & was told they were still awaiting delivery from the supplier. I emailed them on the 12/7/12 to cancel my order as 6 weeks had passed and still no date of delivery had been confirmed. I received a phone call the same day to say that if I wished to cancel I may have to wait up to 30 days for the refund to be processed. I sent a further email on 15/8/12 to enquire as to why my refund had not been processed as it had been more than 30 days. The date is now 21/8/12 and I have had no reply or refund. The seller has broken distance selling regulations & I am now seeking legal advice.

We've been very pleased with the furniture from Frances Hunt. It's well made, sturdy, arrived in good condition.

Our only problem was that as we live in rural Wales we had a long wait to receive it.

Great furniture & brilliant service

Never used this company before but I would definitely recommend it. The furniture is very good quality, well made & looks fabulous. Easy to order, prompt delivery and packaged well.

Excellent furniture - shame my order was wrong twice..

We purchased the rook bedroom furniture at the end of May 2012 and was advised there would be a 3 week wait for delivery. After 3 weeks i had heard nothing so i contacted Frances hunt to be told i would have to wait another 10days..

The furniture arrived without 2 mirrors that i had paid an extra £100 for. So i then had to wait another 3 weeks to have these delivered.

When they came to fit the new mirrors - only one had been sent!! After telling them to forget the mirrors and give me a refund, i was told i had to wait until the next day for the paperwork to be signed off by the delivery driver.. 2days later I am still waiting for a phone call back let alone a refund!!

The furniture however is lovely. I specifically wanted cream gloss and walnut (not widely available) - this furniture looks stylish and good quality. Not like the B&Q range where the backs are made of cardboard..

So all in all i am pleased with the purchase but not so much with delivery and organisation of Frances Hunt

Brilliant all round

I bought the felix dining set after seeing it at furniture village-huge difference in price(300 Pound!!) but exactly the same. Table and chairs came well wrapped, in perfect condition. Sales guy I spoke to when ordering was fantastic, lovely delivery guy who rang me a few times to arrange delivery time and waited for me to come home in van and then opened boxes for me to check product! Great customer service and super fast delivery-2 DAYS FROM ORDERING! Having ordered from another company previously I can see the difference in service. So impressed that I'm going to buy again from them-we're looking for a bed frame etc. Really impressed. Thank you very much; great price, fab delivery and service. 5 star plus service

I purchased my dining table and chairs at an excellent price.It was actually £200 cheaper ay Francis Hunt than Furniture Village who also stated that it was exclusive to them!!! I viewed the dining set in furniture village and then ordered it online from Frances Hunt..Shopping without any hassle..Good customer service, good delivery service couldn't ask for more from Francis Hunt. I am now looking to purchase bunk beds so I know where to go. I have already recommended Francis Hunt to my friends and family.It just goes to prove that small businesses are the best for quality price and customer service.

space saver gate leg table

I was very please with the gate leg table I ordered, well built and good quality item.

Efficient and friendly service

My contact over the 'phone when ordering a gate leg table, was friendly and very helpful. As the table was in stock it was delivered to me within a week. On the day of delivery I received a curtesy call from the driver, who was polite and friendly, to let me know the time of delivery. I was very pleased with the table and very happy to receive it in such good time.

I've bought 2 chest of drawers from Frances Hunt and I recommend them whole heartedly. The furniture is very good quality and the delivery service is excellent. They're a bit slow in getting stuff in and getting it to customers, but it's worth the wait because I trust them.

This table is just the job.

To fit the space available in my kitchen I needed a gate-leg table of precisely these dimensions, so that's what I went looking for on the web. The table does the job perfectly; it fits neatly into the space with one leaf raised, but there's room to raise the other leaf when needed. After 9 months of use it has proved durable and stable, and seems to be showing no signs of wear. It is exacty what I wanted.

Could have been better

Although the furniture is functional I was a little disappointed with the finish ( tiny blocks to stop the legs opening too far - doesn't really work) Also the whole table is far more flimsy than I expected. General appearance is excellent! and it does fit in well with the rest of the room decor.

WE ARE ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED WITH THE TWO BEDROOM CHAIRS WE ORDERED. THE ONLY THING I WOULD MENTION IS THAT THE MATERIAL SAMPLE SIZE COULD BE A BIT BIGGER.

Mixed experience

I bought a number of items from this supplier back in May 2010. Of the items. Atlantis Dark Wood Bed Frame and bedside tables, good quality nice items. Tempo Glass Dining Table Set - table + 6 chairs, good quality, nice item. Tokyo Black Walnut Coffee Table, good quality nice item.
Modena Leather Corner Group - colour option brown. Unfortunately while this looks the part, after 18months the "leather" has started to crack and split in various places and stitching giving way, needless to say not so pleased with this.

Good furniture with casual aftersevice

I was searching the internet for 2 bedside cabinets and came across Francis Hunt.
They had what I wanted at a price that I liked and so I ordered them. The delivery was 2 weeks but after nearly 3 weeks I emailed to ask for a delivery date.
I got an asnswer back very quickly and I was told that they would come next week. Next week came so I phoned and got a sharp sounding woman who assured me that I would get them next week and true to her word I was called a day before to say my cabinets would be delivered the next day.
Exactly as arrange in the time slot they arrived. The driver was very polite, cheerful and helpful and carried my furniture inside.
The cabinets were great quality. I would buy from them again but I would prefer to be given a more realistic delivery estimate as I would not mind waiting for an item I wanted but I don't like being told something that is not possible for them to achieve.

Great service with helpful delivery staff

The shop in London was scruffy and had no card facility when we visited so we bought direct on line which went very smoothly and delivery was within promised time - the delivery staff were very helpful

Dreadful Customer Service

My wife ordered 3 small tables in the Sorento Stone range (Order Number 8507 and 8695) for a total of £757. As an OAP, I was relieved to see on the Francis Hunt web site that the tables were "Ready Assembled".

After a number of phone calls where I had asked specifically about the weight of these tables, we arranged for them to be delivered on 2 March. But on the evening of 1 March, a driver, using his initiative, called to say that he was in our area and that he could deliver the tables at about 9:30 at night.

He duly arrived with a variety of heavy boxes and was surprised when I asked if he was going to assemble the tables. He said 'no' but took pity on us. Without his help, we would not have been able to assemble and shift these tables about our house. He duly went on his way at near 11 o'clock.

Because he had been so helpful, we gave him a £50 tip that he thoroughly deserved.

On 2 March, I contacted Frances Hunt to find out what had gone wrong and suggested that, as an act of good faith they may wish to refund the £50 tip.

Their answer after allegedly consulting with 'the Director' was "No" because it was our fault.

Apparently we had misunderstood the phrase 'Ready Assembled'! It actually meant that the half inch plastic suckers on which the glass top rested would be in position!

What a load of rubbish! I suggest that you do not use this Company.

Good honest reliable service and product.

The goods were ordered and i was told would be about 3 weeks delivery. To my surprise after about a week i got a call to ask if they could deliver my headboard on the Thursday.
Its not often the goods are delivered before time quoted.
Thank again for good service.

Faded furniture

After purchasing the high gloss pink wardrobe and drawers for my daughter this has now faded to a pale pink, dull wardrobe and drawers. My only response from the company has been that it will fade if your bedroom has a window in it!!! Don't buy it unless you sleep in a box.

We have now passed this onto our manufacturers and their response is as follows:
As with all furniture and products, colour will fade over a period of time and even more so when put in direct sunlight. Our advice is to try and limit the exposure of the furniture by not placing them near windows which see plenty of sunlight.

Just the job!

The table was just what I was looking for, (and believe me I went through a goodly number of catalogues and websites!) sturdy and well-made, and a very reasonable price. Having placed my order, I had some complications about being here for the delivery, and they accommodated me very welll, (a very patient, pleasant lady on the phone!) calling on the day to let me know they were on their way.
I'm pleased, too, to see that the wood is from a sustainable source.
