I have been waiting for a call back on my order since WEDNESDAY 4th September. I have called 3 times last time being FRIDAY evening 6th September where i was promised a CALLBACK by no later than 11am Saturday morning. Its now Monday 9th September 10:41am and STILL nothing! I have placed my order but still have no answers!!
Ordered a Sussex Pine Small Full Dresser in mid August and was told that the item will not be available until the end of September. Was very surprised to see that the money from my credit card was taken immediately!
Still waiting for the dresser.
Placed an order over the phone as was quoted a price for one of 2 items I wanted to order person seemed very unsure of what he was doing and when I checked my order he has charged me the wrong price even though I gave him the quoted price. Just hope the furniture arrives
delivery 29th aug 2013 took day of work no show phoned up item broke in transit no phone call e mail nothing I fone up well deliver Saturday email 24-36hr prior delivery no email at 23:15 30 aug not happy will demanding refund ithink not happy with service doubt recommend either
I ordered this unit, welsh dresser from this company, was very impressed with the helpfulness and curtesy of the young man who took my order(chris)., who answered my questions as best he could. Said i would get a phone call once order was ready for delivery, and that my invoice would be emailed to me straight away, which it was. I hope the product lives up to my expectations.
I ordered two chairs on the same weekend - one from habitat and one from furnishing homes. Habitat rang me within a week to arrange a delivery date - then again the day before delivery to give me a time slot - excellent service.
Home furnishing took the money then silence! Vague delivery dates were given when I phoned and emailed. The delivery company they told me to ring claimed to have no record of me and suggested I had the wrong company! Several days later I happened to ring the delivery company who mentioned they were delivering to my house that afternoon - no attempt had been made to check if this was convenient or anyone was home! Delivery man was great though.
The chair is lovely and exactly what I wanted - but this company really needs to review it's communication approach.
Originally ordered in April, for an item which was "in stock" which then turned out it wasn't. Then emails every few weeks telling us the item was in a container, and we'd have it soon, then another saying it was delayed. After two months of this, we cancelled the order, and were told we'd have a full refund.
That was two months ago, we've still not had anything apart from every time we ask we get "The order has been refunded, I'm not sure why you don't have the money"
Now getting the credit card dispute resolution team involved.
I have never, ever dealt with such continuing levels of incompetence, and outright delivery of falsehoods.
I ordered 2 bedside cabinets and they arrived within the given timeframe , their customer service team were most accommodating when trying to arrange delivery around my days off work and even arranged a late drop off with their couriers. Furniture came ready assembled , which was worth the extra £3.00 Furniture looks great and was at least £30 cheaper than other online retailers
I ordered and paid for a sideboard the same day (£200+) - the web site claimed 7 day delivery.
After 1 week from when the payment was made I received an email saying it will take between 6-8 WEEKS to receive my order, I was in no hurry and was enthusiastic with the design so agreed to the delayed time scale.
After 10 weeks and numerous emails trying to contact the company I finally got a reply stating ;
I have called our supplier to obtain an update regarding your order and
they have informed me that the Lingfield range has been discontinued.

I looked on the link for another style - the design I wanted/ordered was still advertised also with a 7 day delivery. I sent an email saying "You are still advertising the range I purchased? If the design I ordered is not available I would like a full refund."

I have personally dealt with much larger company's and they have no problem with "keeping track of all their products".
Furnishing homes said my receipt had been processed please allow 7 days for the funds to reach my account.............
.....................it never did. They were in control of my funds for over 4 Months - I had to get in contact with my credit card company to get my investment returned.
I think this company should not be trusted, I have reported them to trading standards UK, and I'm also in the process of informing watchdog to look into their activities.
I just did not consider a easy way to put the voucher code. A second window appears and then disappears definitely we go back to checkout. The code was not accepted and there is no way to confirm again. It was a low-value voucher but always reduced some value. Bad delivery, came 5 times to deliver our order
Had to email and phone up because did not know when the items were going to be delivered and it was nearly the due date. Customer service were very prompt with their email reply, but eventually I had to phone.They were very pleasant and wanted to sort it out. Phoned me back very promptly and gave me a date. The item was delivered early the next week with a phone call the day before and one the hour before. Delivery men were lovely and efficient. The items I bought were fantastic and solid (I paid for assembly). If I hadn't had to phone them and the items weren't delivered a few days past the 5-15 working days delivery time, I would have given 5 stars. I would definitely use them again as the quality is lovely and looks beautiful in my daughters bedroom. Just beware as been stated before, a lot of packaging that the delivery company don't take away. They don't unpack either so make sure you sign that the goods are unchecked (just in case). On the plus side, the packaging is so good, not a mark on anything.
After placing my order i stumbled across this review site and being honest I was a little worried with some of the negative reviews that had been left against this company. Well you always get the ones that are not happy if things are not done at the drop of a hat, or they failed to read the small print and will vent it out with a bad review. My experience of this company was a far cry from what people have said. They kept me informed of my order every point of the way, it was delivered on time, and well packaged. The customer advisors we're very polite and helpful and I would recommend this company and certainly use them again.
After no less than 6 rearranged deliveries and 4 days off work the items still haven't arrived. Nearly 2 months now and I can't take it anymore so cancelled the order. Customer services were informative but always had bad news. Hope the refund doesn't take so long. Will update with how the refund goes later
wardrobes were good quality and easy to follow instructions didn't take long to set up. staff were excellent and handled the transaction smoothly. only let down was their couriers who delivered a day later than planned. I waited in all day but they didn't arrive then had the cheek to say that nobody was in!
I couldn't find what I wanted - I had spent hours looking when finally I came upon this site. It wasn't exactly what I wanted (where are full length mirrors on wardrobe doors nowadays anyway?) but it was certainly near enough. I had a few queries which were promptly answered on-line. So far, this shopping experience has been exemplary - I can't comment on the products as they aren't here yet.
I asked what stock availability there was before purchasing and I was told they were in stock so I proceeded with order.
I contacted them a week later to see what was happening and they told me that my items were coming into the warehouse the next day Friday a week after I placed the order.
A week/two weeks later I contacted them again as I was going on holiday and wanted to know if items would be delivered by a certain date. At first I was told no but then they confirmed I would get them before my holiday. Still no contact from courier so I asked where they were and I was told that they had told me the item was out of stock.
Someone has been lying about things from the start so I would stay away from this company.
Then my refund was sent by cheque instead of back to my card.
Total waste of weeks waiting and not very good customer service.
I would like to thank Christine and her colleagues for such an excellent service, I was kept informed at all times with the progress of my order. The Monaco sideboard is a beautiful piece of furniture and the picture on the website does not do it justice, it is outstanding and such good quality. I would buy from them again.
Too early to comment on product not deliveed, front office sales communications and skills excellent, very informataive and helpful, know the products and their web site well no complaints what so ever, so far so good.
I would never use this company again!!!!
When I was placing my order a message came up saying there may be higher delivery charges for certain areas of the uk, it then asked me to enter my postcode. After doing so the "shipping" showed a price of £14 which I was happy to accept.
However just before my order was due to be dispatched I received an e-mail stating that I would need to pay a further £9 shipping????? I called the company and the member of staff said that their web page stated that there may be increased costs, I explained that I input my postcode when prompted and the cost was £14, I had also received an invoice quoting £14. So I was not prepared to pay anymore as this would have brought the total cost higher than if I had purchased the same items elsewhere without a shipping charge.
A manager then called me and I explained the same to him and asked to cancel my order, after a very long explanation from him, where he would not let me speak, he agreed to cancel my order and give me a refund.
I asked how long this would take and he said 7-10 working days. I told him banking had come a long way and it should not take this length of time (I have worked in banking for 20 years) he then got quite irate and said he actually had by law 30 days to refund me. I had paid by PAYPAL
I told him it had better not take this long and I expected a refund ASAP
That was on Wednesday 17th July and I have still not received my refund. I know they are now holding on to my money as long as possible.
They are also quoting low prices to get you to buy items from them thinking they are cheaper than other companies but by the time they add on their standard and extra shipping it actually works out more expensive. Otherwise why are they charging shipping when most other companies offer free delivery.............ITS JUST A PLOY!!
I wait with baited breath on my refund and will never use this company again
Although there were a couple of errors on their website this was soon rectified by their efficient staff and in the end I was given a quick delivery of the item I ordered. Finding a manufacturers fault I notified the company and they resolved the problem immediately to my satisfaction.
I ordered the funiture on the 24th June, I have taken 4 days off of work and still still have not had the items delivered, each time I have to phone and ask whether my goods have been despatched will not be recommending to anyone else. If goods are not delivered tomorrow I will cancel my order.
i brought a table with six chairs on the 6th of july and today i went on my messenger to see what i brought it came up that i brought a tv stand and it said that this was going to be delivered in two seven days i phoned today and they told me it would only be delivered in the middle of august i dont advice my friends to buy things from here who messes up once always messes up
Great site and I was impressed by the good discounts and bargains etc Impressive choice and it was really easy to go through the buying process. Slight reserve as I havent actually seen the item other than online. Did expect to pay just £14 delivery as only a flatpack coffee table but it was in fact £25... very sceptic re the returns system if not totally satisfied - reading the small print it looks like I would have to pay £40 to send it back if I didnt like it - how does that work when delivery is £25 ???? plus the item is only £70 - not very happy with this situation if this is right - can someone please advise? Now awaiting delivery instructuions and time will tell !
NEWSFLASH - 24 hrs after ordering online (item was in stock it said) I get an email saying its no longer manufactued !!!!!!!!! VERY UNHAPPY - I no longer trust this site - will try the shops - at least you know where you stand instead of being messed about in this way....
