AVOID!

Worst company I've ever dealt with customer service is terrible constantly phoning them up as they don't reply to e-mails an then had the cheek to offer 10% discount a second time. My advice is don't use them they're only going to rip you off.

Would Never Buy Again

We went with this company following a positive experience with Craig from the sales team and the quickness of the service he provided.

At the time of ordering we agreed the required time scale and a week commencing date for delivery.

On the Friday before the agreed delivery we phoned their so called customer service to check on what day the following week the delivery would be made so that we could plan the other trades around their installation. We were told that they could not tell us until the night before delivery.

As this was clearly unacceptable I contacted them again on the Monday and spoke to a gentleman who claimed to be the head of sales and customer service. His method of dealing with the problem was to repeat the same unacceptable answer over and over again like he was dealing with the village idiot and could not accept that his company were just one of many providing goods and services for our refurbishment, all of which needed to be planned in, a more arrogant person you could not wish to have to deal with.

The team who eventually delivered our goods at 7pm were sub-contractors who made a first class job of putting together our new furniture.

Never again! Shocking customer service.

On October 24th, 2013 we ordered some items from Furniture @ Work with a 7-day delivery option.

We were sent a pro-forma invoice for the items, which we promptly paid. Despite being paid in full, they still chased us for payment. We should have known then thatFurniture@Work are not the most organised! Having finally resolved the payment dispute (after several calls, emails and letters) we waited for our goods to be delivered.

In December we were informed that they did not have all the items in stock, hence the delay in despatch. We requested delivery of the items that they had in stock and a refund for the items that they could not fulfil. We received part payment and was told that the rest of the items were despatched.

By the END of December we still had no items. We chased them up again, only to be told that it was already delivered. By January we finally gave up and decided to cancel the order. Only then did they send us a delivery note, which showed that they had delivered the item to the wrong business!

We asked them to rectify this, but instead we were told that we would need to pay for the collection of the item and re-delivery, despite the fact that it was not our fault.

After several calls, emails and letters we decided to request a refund, which we still haven't received.

This is possibly the worst post-sales support we have ever had. I would advise other companies to use them with caution, or not use them at all!

Completely mislead and unfairly treated, Would not recommend ordering online from this company.

I ordered what I thought was a table and two benches as shown in the picture when I ordered what I thought was one set. When it arrived there was only one bench in the box so I rang the company immediately, the guy I spoke to said,'yes, it would appear you ordered a table and two benches, let me look into it, I will ring you back' he didn't ring so I rang back myself and spoke to a lady that agreed, it would appear I had ordered a table and two benches, she went off only to return saying that it was very misleading but further down it asked how many of each I wanted, as going off the picture I clicked I wanted one, as this is what I thought I was getting. After numerous emails, I was then told I could send the bench back but would be charged £35.00 plus vat to have it collected, as I had paid £54.00 for one bench I would only be getting a refund of about £12.00, there was to be no compromise or understanding on their part, so now I am stuck with an overpriced bench I don't want as I had to order another table and bench set from somewhere else, very dissatisfied with the service, or should I say lack of it.

Excellent service, would definitely recommend

Having ordered two desks initially, the service I experienced was excellent and the staff followed up at every opportunity. I then ordered a chair, and found that this service was exactly the same as the first time. I would definitely recommend the company in terms of service.

Thoughtful and reliable

get what you see

The prices are very good and the products are exactly the same from Staples etc but better / lower priced.
Delivery is very quick, packaging could be better with the desks. Cupboards & chairs are fine, anything missing and the customer back up is great, no problems at all.
I have used this company about four times and will do again for anything else.

Not up to usual standard

I ordered a chair last Thursday and was told it would arrive the next day (weather permitting). The arms arrived on Friday but there is still no sign of the rest of the chair. We do not normally have any problems.

Sitting pretty! Sitting well!

Having worn out my old office chair I went on line and looked at various sites selling all sorts of office chairs. The style and price were important to me and I eventually settled for one from Furniture At Work. I was a little apprehensive as I had never used this firm before. However, I ordered one based on their description and it arrived promptly and was exactly as described. It took a bit of work putting it together but once it was whole I tried it out and found it to be really comfortable, easy to manoeuver and supportive where it was needed. I would recommend this firm to any one needing reliable service and good products for office situations.

Not all items come on time

After spending over £3000.00 of furniture, still not happy with the service as we were miss lean with all the delivery times.

So we spent the remaining money on furniture with other suppliers who delivered on time, and we wish to continue with them.

two items were damaged also, and it was replaced after a week.

we will no longer order with Furniure at work, Please close our Account.

JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED!

WE ARE A SMALL GP PRACTICE AND WAS ORDERING A MOBILE DRAWER UNIT TO FIT UNDER A DESK, AND ALSO TRYING TO MATCH UP TO THE ORIGINAL FURNITURE. STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND EVEN SENT OUT A SAMPLE TO CHECK IF IT MATCHED. SPEEDY DELIVERY. PRODUCT WAS EASY TO ASSEMBLE, NEEDING ONLY TO ATTACH WHEELS AND IT IS WELL MADE AND LOOKS GREAT. WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

Urgent order

I needed some desks earlier than the required lead time and they arrived with no trouble, without any extra costs for delivery. I dealt with Colin Kelly and found him very helpful and gave me excellent communication regarding my order (by phone & email).
I have had trouble in the past with this company, however, with Colin's help the experience was extremely positive.
